When I signed for the summer they told me I only had to pay for one month and that was it. I’m now almost two months into the new semester and still paying. Doesn’t make sense. Plus you can’t even cancel online you have mail a document and pay an additional 10 dollars.

I think Iv finally found a gym home thanks to Sharia! I signed up online because I dont like the super sales pitch you get walking into a new gym. BUT Sharia is truly the best. She is knowledgeable about the gym, and all of the offers. Shes also MASTERED how to build relationships and win guest over effortlessly. Which is why I quickly switched from a guest to a member! Sharia, seriously thank you for all you do, youre so genuine and your passion for your work shine through EVERYDAY (even at 5am!). The level of customer service you provide is top tier! Thank you for making my choice to join YouFit a no brainier! See you tomorrow😁

Customer service to me is very important and knowing the correct info you give your clients is essential. I was told when I signed up that I wont get charged my first payment for 2 months but got charged a month later. The least a business can do is honor what was told just to make your clients happy since it was poor communication on their end as a business. No response needed just educate your employees better. Other than that clean and well maintained facility. Have a great day

Ive been trying to cancel my membership for a year now. Did what they said, certified letter (3 times). Never got cancelled and they have still tried to bill me. I put a stop payment on my card and I get harassing phone calls every couple days. Ive only been a handful of times and have zero desire to return. Just cancel my membership, stop trying to pull payments and stop with the harassing phone calls.

Excellent, very clean. Following all CDC requirements. Amanda at the front desk is always very friendly and is willing to help you. Everyone has a mask on. All the equipment is separated my barriers of tape on the floor to keep social distancing.

We are really impressed with this location. It is always clean and seems to cultivate a good gym culture that is not intimidating. No one is being innapropriate in the dressing rooms and we feel very comfortable and safe.We LOVE the cinema. Brilliant idea.The sauna is really great especially for treating arthritis in the winter.The music in the dressing room is a bit loud, which can be kind of intense sometimes if its rap or techno.If you install a few wall hair dryer units like they have in hotels it would be awesome for not leaving the gym on cold days with wet hair.

This gyms staff and members are welcoming and non-judgmental. Ive seen members go out of their way to help other members when their form could injure them by teaching them tje correct form. The amenities are great and fit what members want and the facility is clean.

You are all ridiculous!I was told to send letters to corporate to cancel my accounts, I did so. Now Im being told Im past due on my accounts and that I wont be refunded. Which was not what I was originally told by the Lakeland club, Largo club, and corporate! This is literally so unfair. I am going to blast this on social medias if thats what I take to get the right thing done. Ive never been treated so poorly in my life nor have I ever written a bad review. But this! This is downright unfair and rude.

I was working out solo here until one of the staff - Rich - took me under his wings, and we started training together. He has helped me make the substantial gains in muscle and fitness I thought I could only dream about. He is always positive, friendly, and sincerely the most hard working man I have ever had the pleasure of working with. This gym is also kept so clean and organized because of Rich and is own personal supplies. Rich deserves all of the credit in the world. When you go in, ask for him.

Theyve been closed most of the last 4 months and still charged me for two months AND the yearly fee. I think theyve been open for about a week or two, which Ive been charged $90 bucks for. Cant get anyone on the phone to even talk about it.Update! I talked to them and they credited me for the next 3 months! I was impressed. All is well....

This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I’ve had to call multiple times to get ahold of a manager & every time, a manager is unable to answer. I’ve requested numerous times that a manager call me back & they haven’t. As a manager, you think it would be a priority to answer a paying customers call before you go home. The communication is so poor. And anytime you call, the girls have such a bad attitude on the phone & are quick to have a rude tone & act like you’re a bother. Find another gym for sure.

When COVID-19 happened they continued to charge my card, even though they had closed. A month into everything & I was finally able to get ahold of the new manager, & told him that I wanted to cancel my membership & get my money for March & April refunded. He said he could freeze my account & credit me for the 2 months when they open again, I told him no I wanted to cancel my membership. After some more back & forth on trying to convince me not to cancel he finally canceled it, but I never got my refund for the 2 months. Then today, months after I canceled with them, I got charged almost $114 randomly. I used to like coming to this place because the staff is super friendly & may have rejoined them after the pandemic, but any thought of rejoining them is absolutely out of the question now. If they refuse to refund me my money I will be taking legal action.

Don’t join this gym! They are a bunch of crooks that will take money out of your bank account for years. We have tried to cancel membership 3 times and have even paid additional $10 cancellation fee and yet they still continue to take monthly fees from our account. Don’t understand why this process is so difficult! Even with locations closed they are still taking money out! Don’t get roped into this scam! Go join another gym!

Hopefully you get exactly what youre looking for at this quaint gym or fitness center. Its very modern and up to date as well offering a plethora of classes that allow you to gain and train.

One of the perks of your location is the cinema. Unfortunately, the air conditioning has been out for nearly three weeks now. The room is extremely hot. Front desk stated that it’s been reported. No estimated repair date. What’s the plan? Is there a plan?

Youfit is fine and they have some personnel wanting to assist. The best I have found is Rich Starkey at the Largo center. Rich knows fitness and it sows. I found out he is also an accomplished partisans in various endurance races in the area, and it shows.

DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS BUSINESS!! Back in March they closed for two weeks due to the Covid -19. They called me and asked me if I would be willing to donate $50 to help my personal trainer Joel out since he was out of work. ABSOLUTELY I said! Joel was an amazing coach and I wanted to help him since he was going to be out of work for 2 weeks. Well those 2 weeks turned into 3 months of the club being closed due to Covid, which I understand that the corporation had no idea it was going to turn into months but they continued to charge my card! I had called and spoke with Emory (the General Managerat that time), said he would take care of it and that my card wouldnt be charged any more but couldnt refund the money. I asked him to please speak with his boss and refund my money as it wasnt my fault that they were closed for over 3 months! He said he would see what he could do but He told me he is leaving the company and that Amanda will follow up with me next week about my refund. She never followed up! I continued to call multiple times before I got a hold of her. When I finally spoke to her she said she would fix it and apologized. Every call afterwards she would give me the run around, dodge my calls never returned my calls even tho I left numerous messages. They continued to charge my monthly fee and the personal trainer fees still. I have called my bank and have placed a block on them so they couldnt charge me. That worked for the month of June where they didnt get to charge my card but then found a way to get through the block and charged again in July and August! Today I finally spoke with Amanda after calling 4 times today! Told me the $50 charge wasnt actually for my personal trainer but to hold my spot with my trainer! Umm I dont belong to that gym anymore so why would I pay to hold my spot? She stumbled on her words and dodged the question. Then she told me on that charge was for your yearly dues! Umm again I dont belong to that gym anymore so why do I have to pay yearly dues? She said she didnt know. Again not very helpful for being the General Manager. This business has been illegally charging my card for 6 months now and have lied continuously and changed their stories on multiple occasions. Do yourself a favor and go to a different gym!! Youfit, you as a corporation should be ashamed of yourselves for taken advantage of peoples money especially with a pandemic going on! Tomorrow Im contacting my bank to close my account and get a new one so they cant charge my account any longer!! I have spent way to much of my time dealing with this crooked business!!

Gym is nice love the equipment.BUT VERY SNEAKY AND THEY DO NOT TELL YOU EVERYTHING ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING. AVOID THE PERSONAL TRAINER CONTRACT!!! THEY SAY YOU CAN SIGN UP FOR THEIR SPECIAL $35 PER SESSION AS MANY AS YOU LIKE. NOT TELLING YOU YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR A MINIMAL OF 3MONTH. Then when asked about the charges the manager Sean avoids you at all costs.after talking with the front desk staff you find out that you then purchased the contact on a by weekly basis. So instead of them withdrawing on Monthly basis its now every 2wks for 3months and no way to get out of it. You might be able to write a certified letter but probably wont get an answer.

Contracts are sneaky and shady, I really want to believe this company has good intentions but I am highly disappointed. The gym itself is decently clean and average, no complaints in that matter. Just be careful with what you sign and watch your bank account carefully. I would opt for a local non franchised gym but either way I hope you have a great workout and fun!

Terrible customer service. Took advantage of me due to “coronavirus” I’ve been a member here for years and I froze my account when the gym closed and didn’t cancel it even though they were the last to open with the least hours open in a day with not nearly the equipment they advertised. The continued to charge me till I noticed at that point it was about $100 in unauthorized charges and then wanted to charge me another month because it was within 10 days of my next renewal and another $10 to cancel a membership that was borderline fraud. In response to the response below I already tried and was directed on how to cancel my membership and that was it Gina Ruth who responded with that.

Awkward. Signed up for my first day free online. someone called and said I would get a tour when I got there and they were really nice on the phone. When I got there the girl at the front desk said “ok you’re good” I stood there awkwardly thinking I’d get a tour Or something but she just looked at me so I gave myself a tour. So far so good (been a member for about three weeks). The gym is clean, well organized and has plenty of options for workouts from classes to machines to weights. I signed up for the jump start with a trainer and had a minor scheduling mixup for the fitness assessment, but it was rescheduled with no issue for no charge.

I would give no stars if possible. I signed up on a friend’s recommendation because they worked there. I did personal training there for a bit. Then my trainer quit without any notice and went to another gym company. Did not know about this until I showed up for appointment. Nobody from gym called to explain what was going on. Just showed up and was told she doesn’t work there anymore and my appointment was cancelled. Asked to cancel my training services because I didn’t want to start from scratch with another trainer and was met with high pressure sales techniques. After 5 min I finally got it cancelled.Went in today to cancel membership due to medical issues that prevent me from using my membership. They charged me a $10 cancellation fee. Asked to see where that was in contract and they rudely dismissed me and asked how I would be paying that fee. So much for being able to cancel anytime with no questions asked or without fees.This place is a scam and a waste of time. Do not go here.

People at the gym are helpful but the company is a real piece of work. After cancelling my membership, I notice I was still getting charged 6 months later. Reason why I left is that the hours do not work for me with my job schedule. They make you job through hoops to cancel your membership. After 6 months, I still got charged fees and now ingave to pay $10 to cancel and have to write a certified letter to cancel. BS

I would give this no stars if possible. I joined this gym. Went there once. Someone showed me around and had me do about 15 exercises to see what shape I was in. They then told me I should do exercises that addressed a certain problem. When I asked which of the exercises he just did with me addressed that problem, he said he wasnt allowed to tell me and that Id have to pay for a trainer. I could not afford a trainer.. Im over 70, have cancer, and pay for treatment out of my own very shallow pockets. I decided not to go there anymore. When I didnt pay the next payment, they called me. I told them I didnt want to continue. They told me Id have to pay a rather large amount to quit. At one point they offered to let me quit for $50 - less than half of what they said I owed. I didnt have the money to do that. Although Id told them in their many phone calls that I wanted to quit and what my situation was, they kept charging me for every month. Today they called me and said I owe them over $450. Theyve charged me for many months, plus a $10 late fee for every month, plus another charge of $52 - not sure what thats for. They say that no matter how many times I talk to them on the phone and quit the gym, they wont let me quit until I pay them money. Several of the people who have called me have also been very rude.

They take forever to fix a machine... should be on top of things like this. Also need to get members to follow the rules like putting their weights back on e theyre done. If its to heavy to put back then maybe you shouldnt use that amount of weight. Simple gym extricate 101.

I love this place! Nobody bothers you you always have somewhere to workout! And its very enjoyable and theres also a movie room if you just want to be in the dark and watch a movie and in a different atmosphere they have it. Lockers, Sana, showers, whatever its all there.

CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT CALL the BBB!! I have not been a member for years and found that they have been deducting fees from my bank account for years. They said to pay $10.00 to recancel are you kidding? I am a social media manager and everyone will be informed about this. They may be doing the same to you. Check your bank accounts.

I like the classes offered, although wish they offered some at earlier times. Gym is clean and staff is friendly.UPDATE-management is horrible. Communication is completely lacking. I asked to put freeze on my account after being charged during COVID while gym was closed. They unfroze my account without my knowledge and charged my account account again. Canceled account and after months of waiting got partial refund. Calls, emails go without answers.

Ive been going here for 2 years. the facility is always clean! The staff are friendly and the patrons respectful. I just recently started with a trainer, I am pleased by how personal the workout routines are and the trainer is super informative and helpful! I was thoroughly impressed with the management at this gym!

My wife and I met with the Manager of Youfit-Largo, Travis Salazar. We told Travis we wanted to join the gym and possibly get my wife a few personal training sessions. We told Travis that we did not want to start these classes until after my wife’s Orange Theory Membership ended which was one month from then. We were also very specific with Travis that we did not want re-occurring sessions. Travis advised he had the perfect $150 “jump-start” personal training session special right now and that we had 90 days to use the 5 classes with no commitment to purchase anymore sessions. Travis even indicated that the great part of the special was that if we did choose to purchase more classes we would be allowed to purchase more at that $150 price. We ultimately joined the single $20 membership where my wife could always bring me as a guest and one of the $150 “jump-start” sessions. Travis called over the personal training Manager Sean and everything we spoke about was reiterated – once again assured there would be no re-occurring training sessions.Sean brought us to a room and used a machine to check my wife’s body-mass-index and started typing in her personal information. Sean had her sign numerous waivers on a screen not attached to anything and when I questioned him about this he said Youfit does not use any paper. Sean advised that anything my wife signed he would email us in the morning and if we see anything wrong we would have three days to cancel the contract. I was obviously a little concerned by this but I thought Sean and Travis knew exactly what we wanted and why would they purposely rip off a new customer who was joining their gym.Sure enough the next day we never received an email. When my wife called she was told it would be to us shortly. The following day she was told they sent it but would send it again. Needless to say we never received that email until well after the three days. Travis would later say they had the wrong email even though it was written correctly on all the paperwork. Two weeks later we had another $200 deducted from our credit card. Evidently Sean and Travis signed us up for a 3 month re-occurring training sessions for $400 a month.We tried getting Travis to fix the situation but he was totally useless. According to him, even though he knows we were wronged managers have no authority to tell corporate to reimburse us or to cancel the contract. Travis refused to give us his bosses’ information (the regional manager) he said it was against Youfit policy. We tried calling the Youfit corporate office but they don’t accept calls and they put you right back to the local Youfit. Sean was nowhere to be found and I discovered he was just filling in that one day and works out of the Oldsmar Youfit.I do have to give kudos to the Emory who is the regular personal training manager that was unfortunately off the day we signed up. I could tell Emory was embarrassed what had happened to us. Emory was of course hesitant to talk bad about his co-workers but in our course of conversations he admitted he could tell by the paperwork that Travis and Sean sold us a plan that doesn’t even exist. Emory advised that everything that was done that day was wrong and it’s a shame. Emory made sure my wife was able to complete her $350 worth of training sessions before the month ended. (We obviously froze our credit card so Youfit couldn’t drain it further) Emory even took it upon himself to work out a deal with corporate to cancel our contract and write one up correctly if we stayed. But we declined because we did not feel comfortable reopening our credit card to this company.Travis and Sean should be embarrassed by what they did, but I’m sure they could care less. It probably helped them get a bonus or reach a designated quota. They obviously prefer that instant gratification instead of building a loyal customer who might pay to be at their gym for years to come – and obviously corporate Youfit is fine with that because we still haven’t heard back from them.

Equipment from old location. Still good and usable. What got me was customer service. 3 ladies at the front desk look like they dont want to work there. So why come to work. No fans, I was wondering why I was having breathing problems at this location. I understand cutting costs but just going to be moldy and sweat smells. Again, recap on this location, usable-good equipment, and amenities but poor quality customer service and no fans.

Absolutely my worst experience with a gym, ever. Avoid at all cost.Cost my son and I nearly $200, and worked out three times. No, we didnt pay for personal training, thats just the $10 a month plus fees for this and that, plus cancellation fees, AND...When we requested to contact the main office to complain and request a partial refund, we were told that the only method to contact them is registered mail, which also costs money. And, after sending said registered mail, two months later, no response.No thanks. There are many reputable gyms around. This one is complete fraud.----------------------------This portion of the review is an edit. After I posted the above extremely negative review, management responded below. I dont believe Ill email for help. They ignored a registered letter so I doubt that email is likely to work any better. If they do in fact follow up, Ill post another update. They have my phone number and email. I know this because two months after canceling, I still get notices that my payment is late. Even their accounting is lacking. I advise everyone to find a better gym.

I go here with my boyfriend once a week and we both love this location. Sometimes there are too many people on the benches and they seem unwilling and unmotivated to move along faster or share, but other than that, the facility is always clean, I have found the front desk people to be reasonable, sensible, fair, and friendly. I forgot my drivers license once, but they remember me and my boyfriend so they made an exception and let me come in (he has the pass with one guest card -- I am his guest). I think they are heavily committed to cleaning the gym. There is always someone walking around picking up rubbish and cleaning. We dont live in Pinellas anymore but we come out once a week to visit his family and friend, which is why we go there once a week. We usually go to the YouFits in Tampa, and they dont compare. Seriously. Theyre like another world compared to this one. This one never smells gross, and the others do. They take pride in being a clean, reasonably well kept gym. Other gyms should take note.

This gym has all the equipment you need. It has other perks, like the sauna in the locker room and the Cardio Cinema where you can work out in a dark room with a movie on a big screen! They offer group classes, like Yoga, Bodypump or Zumba.. though I have not tried one just yet. & I have not personally tried their trainers so I cannot speak anything on that matter. Not a bad gym. Morning time around 10am is usually not too crowded 👌 Lots of average Joes so you shouldnt feel intimidated if you go here 👍

Gym is nice, unfortunately there is no leadership amongst the staff. I work out in the morning around 5:15- 5:45 am, there is 1 staff member at the front desk. I have noticed when I try to utilize the showers they are always ice cold, I have brought this to the attention of the only staff member thats at the desk in the morning. 1 week later the issue still isnt resolved, I called in the afternoon to speak with a manager. The manager couldnt be bothered, saying that Corporate has to approve a work order; which could take weeks. In the meantime, I am being billed for facilities that are not operating properly and I am supposed to sit there and take it. How is that putting the client first? Some would venture to say that is considered theft, seeing how our contract is Fee for service based. While services are not being rendered.

I have had my membership for a long time. One as in the middle of both gulf to bay, and east bay location . I was very disappointed when they closed both locations and open the one in Largo, we made sure to have the lime card so that we had tanning and everything included and the new location got rid of all tanning beds that was part of my routine I do feel that we should have been informed the location would be closing and everything would be transferred without our permission I feel that I should have been informed of the changes to make that decision to keep or to drop not to have it switched over without my okay very disappointed

Really enjoy the people and staff. My only gripe is the weekend hours are ridiculous. Why close your gym at 8pm?? Some of us work evenings and still want to get their workout in, instead of going out to the bars. You should revisit your hours of operation on these days

I have cancelled my membership multiple times; they continue to bill me saying I have an outstanding balance even though they admit to seeing my account was frozen many months ago and then cancelled! The worst customer care and admin ser. So annoying

This location was supposed to be an improvement over the former locations in Largo or Clearwater that were closed. What it was is overcrowded, due to closing the others. Even during the overcrowded times, staff did NOTHING to address the people thinking they can superset on 3 pieces of equipment, even when pointed out. Once youre tired of it, have fun canceling your membership! It REQUIRES a visit, additional fees ( even though there is no contract), answering a questionnaire at the kiosk, and then a mandatory follow-up phone call, offering a reduced rate. Do yourself a favor, go to Amped! Its 24 hrs, same price,exponentially better equipment, and non-invasive, yet helpful staff. Even the customers have gym etiquette. If not, theyd hear about it from staff and other members.

Very pushy people. Dont take NO for an answer and will find any way to take money from you. I canceled my membership, was told I would not be charged any more since I did it before the 10 days grace period. Guess what? IM STILL GETTING CHARGED. Im going to have to go back down in person AGAIN to Let them know I have my cancellation receipt and am being wrongfully charged. Before you join, consider using the hundreds of dollars you are going to spend here, and put it towards your own personal equipment and weights you can use at home ANYTIME. Plus all you really need to get in shape is time and effort.

Price is right. Has all the equipment you need. Can get a little crowded at times. Staff is friendly. Would be nice to have customer appreciation days or something but other than that its in my opinion the best gym for the money

After 4 years of payments the expiration on my debit card became expired causing monthly late payment fees causing a final cancellation total of $48.40. I would not recommend this health club. LA Fitness is right next store, which is inclusive of Jacuzzi, steam room, racquetball, basketball, volleyball and spining classes as well. All for 2 dollars more. Easy decision dont make the wrong one. With no cancellation fees.

I find at least 4 or 5 of the staff here are very unfriendly. They only speak to certain members. You never know who might be your next client. Overall very clean and I love the classes.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE...I have to agree with the sneakiness comments.My card was fraudulently swiped at an airport. I have things on autopay. They are the only ones who got missed that didnt reach out. They have a policy not to call until you reach a certain amount of debt and late fees.On top of this I havent been in several months due to neck surgery. C6 c7 spinal fusion. I was going to keep it active until I found out how they are treating people. The guy tried to compare a gym membership to car insurance... lol when insurance isnt paid the policy expires dipstick

The staff is very friendly and professional! Any time I have a question they go above and beyond to make sure I have a full understanding, and even teach me new things that I didn’t know. The gym is EXTREMELY clean, inviting, there’s a very wide range of equipment, classes, and I love the sauna! I am still fairly new to the gym, but I love it and recommend Youfit to all of my friends & family.Update: been going to this Youfit for roughly a year now and this location on Missouri is the BEST, tried to go to the one on 66th street once and it did not compare at all... I didn’t realize how spoiled I was. LOL

AUTO PAY BILLING SCAMS. misrepresented contract for training in sales pitch. once you read your contract and find you cant cancel at any time, there is 30 day, and 6 session (not90day) terms etc. You are at the mercy of 3rd party billing company, no corporate phone numbers, or contacts to billing parties. No one gives correct information through they are courteous. No one returns phone calls or emails. Now with being locked into training contract I cant cancel my membership so there is another $40.
