Tip Top Arborists was awesome and exceeded expectations! Jim, the owner, showed up the day I called for an estimate. He emailed the estimate by the end of the business day. They were able to come out to do the work within a week. Jim showed up on the first day with his crew to review the job list and they quickly and efficiently removed four large trees and several stumps. They were on time, courteous, and cleaned up the yard immaculately. They came back a second day to finish up. They repaired sprinklers that got damaged in the process and replaced an exterior light on the patio that broke from a fallen limb. We were truly blown away by the exceptional service. We hired Tip Top for 4 trees in our yard. One was to be taken out entirely, two oak trees needed trimmed and de-misteltoed, and the mulberry tree needed a hair cut badly. Tom Baal was so professional and friendly and it was clear he really knows his stuff. His crew were great and very fast. They took down our cottonwood tree in less than 15 minutes and there wasnt a sign it had ever been there. It was a lot of work and they finished it in half a day. They also cleaned up beautifully. Our trees look gorgeous and I feel so much better about having our daughter play safely under the trees. I would recommend them to anyone. One note, be sure to clear the area of furniture or wind chimes or anything they could run up against. My wind chime was broken on accident.

They were on time and did a good job for a fair price. My only complaint is that they ran over my 3 succulent plants with the stump grinder. I mean, its not as if they couldnt see them and after i pointed out what they had done they took the stump grinder out a different way. They should have gone that way in the first place. Hired tip-top to remove a tree that was invading my sewer and water lines. Exellent job, thank you Jose, they left NO debris, started cleaning two houses down, even repaired the sprinkler line under the tree roots. Ground the stump down, did a great job... I would hire again, and also recommend... They have the equipment to safely do the job fast and correct... Highly recommend.

My neighbor hired this company to cut their tree. They did a great job with the tree, but also took the time to clean up the leaves from my yard. However, I always feel that I get what I pay for with them. They are cautious, expedient and most professional. A licensed Arborist looks at the job, gives me advice and provides estimates that address each option. My trees always look great, professionally done and not butchered. Once completed, the area is clean and in order, they always are sure that I am satisfied before they leave the jobsite. Great people to work with!

I used Tip Top in the past (20 years ago) and they were great then. Shortly after that I moved into a new home, and since it takes a few years for trees to grow, I didnt need them again until now. Im sure I probably could have found somebody to do the work for a lower price, but I also know they wouldnt have been as professional and done the outstanding job that Tip Top did.The estimator that came to look at the work (Tom) was great. We were in complete agreement about what needed to be done, and he provided his estimate the next day. After accepting the proposal, I had to accept a scheduled work date that was almost two months away, but I understand this is the busiest time of year for this kind of work. To my surprise they called me three weeks later to say there was a cancellation, and they could do my job the next day. Awesome!The crew showed up a little early, which was okay by me. The crew leader, Juan, went over the scope of work with me, and they got started right away. The whole crew worked like a well-oiled machine, and made sure they were very careful to not damage anything near the trees, or leave any mess whatsoever. I could also tell that they were following all the safety protocols for their trade, while still working fast and efficient.These guys are the best at what they do and I would recommend them anytime.

Well 3 trees and 6 hours later, they are gone and left our yard so much better than it was before they arrived. We had to have some trees removed that were taking over the whole area over our well. They had grown enormous. Called Tip Top and they had Chris out here giving us an estimate within 2 work days. We received a quote for a fair price and set a date. Four workers arrived promptly at 8 am, worked steadily for 6 hours and left the hillside clean, completely free of debris. They were all very courteous and wore masks - which I really appreciated. Even my picky husband was pleased. Hes still standing outside admiring the great job. I can highly recommend this company.

Had a large tree that needed to be removed just off my back patio. Tip Top came out, on time, and took care of my problem at a very reasonable price. During the stump grinding process, one of my sprinkler lines was accidentally broken. The gentleman broke out his supply of PVC and glue and fixed it right there on the spot. Tom was right on time to look at what I need done. We have three xylosma and two plum trees in the planter behind our pool that had grown totally out of control. Tip top did an amazing job thinning, crowning and reshaping the trees into the beautiful, natural-looking, accent trees they were intended to be. They completely transformed the look of the planter bed, and cleared access on the back-side of our pool. Tom was extremely professional and very helpful, and the team was prompt, efficient, amazing and clean! Had them come out to give an estimate on two trees being thinned out, 1 major and 1 minor. A week before appointment date, wind blew down a branch on the miner trim. Called again and asked to come out to revise estimate as more work had to be done. The day before he came out another branch fell, same tree. He came out, revised work to be done to include a neighbors tree branch that obstructed sprinkler. and said price was the same even for the additional work. Came out as scheduled, did work professionally, Cleaned up work area and asked if I was satisfied before leaving. Very glad I called Tip Top, They did Tip Top work.

These guys do great work, they aren’t the lowest cost but you really get good service and a competent, well equipped team when you hire Tip Top to do a job. Alex, Danilo, Izzy and Julio were a pleasure to work with and did a wonderful job.After the rains of 2019, a couple of oak trees grew so much foliage that some of the larger branches started to fall off in the late summer. The biggest limb that broke was around 22” in diameter and hung up on its way down, making it pretty unsafe. A tall 30-40’ high ailanthus tree died over the winter and there was a concern that it might fall on the house after the entire trunk rocked near the ground in the recent high winds.The reasons that Tip Top were hired were that (1) they have a proper boom truck with a man lift that can reach the tops of our largest trees which are probably 50-60’ tall and (2) their team are qualified arborists working for a licensed contractor and (3) we have known the owner Jimmy for many years and we prefer to hire people we know and like.Chris called me back and arranged an appointment for the next day to view the work that needed to be done. He gave me a verbal quote on site and then followed up later that same day with an email version. I called up the office and gave a deposit so that the work could be scheduled. The earliest time was about three weeks out however a day or so after scheduling the work, they called me up in the afternoon and asked if they could come the next day since they had a crew available who had finished a job one day early. In the end, I called on Tuesday and the job was all wrapped up by Friday of the same week, so you can’t beat that!So the next morning at 7:30am the team showed up. There were three trucks, one with a boom for topping and trimming the trees, another with a chipper for getting rid of everything and a third with saws and other equipment. I noticed that the motor that operated the hydraulic boom is powered by natural gas, so it was quieter and cleaner burning than a normal diesel engine.The team got straight to work, felling three tall ailanthus trees (or trees of heaven/ghetto palms) near the house. While this was going on, Alex and Julio set to work climbing one of the oak trees and removing the dead branches and cleaning up the overgrown branches. After dealing with the three Ailanthus trees, Danilo and Izzy then moved on to the biggest project, trimming up the largest oak tree. This tree is very old with a 10’ diameter trunk and a canopy that measured at least 60’ across so it was important to save it after the large limbs had fallen off.While Danilo was trimming the branches and tidying up the tree, Izzy explained what they were doing and how the tree’s vascular system carries water up and down the branches which determines where they make the cuts in the branches. He explained that Tip Top’s team all attend school to become qualified arborists and that they go back regularly for continuing education. This was good to know since it is really important that you hire qualified people to trim mature oak trees.As the trimming work was being performed, the crew set aside some of the larger branches and limbs to use as firewood and also cut the larger limbs into manageable sizes for my log splitter. The trimming generated a lot of branches and these all went neatly through the wood chipper and into the truck. The chipper is pretty powerful and I was amazed to see it swallow up an 8’ section of ailanthus tree trunk that was probably 10-12” in diameter.After about 8 hours, the job was finished and everything had been neatly raked up and thrown into the back of their wood chipper truck. The trees looked healthy again with no dead/dying branches draping down and even the neighbors have commented on how good of a job Tip Top did.

I cant recommend Tip Top Arborists enough. Ive used them for multiple projects in my yard. This last time they trimmed my wall.of oleanders and removed several shrubs. They were on time and worked quickly. They do a great job of cleaning up and are professional amd friendly.

When I knew I had to remove one of my 35 year old palm trees, I didnt have to think twice about who I was going to call. Tip Top has been servicing trees for AV residents for as long as I can remember, and I knew Jim, with his decades of personalized, expert experience, would understand that this would be more than just dealing with a dying tree for me, it was personal. Jim came out immediately, as the palm was in danger of falling during our high winds, and we discussed its sad demise. He inspected the other palms to make sure they were good, and we scheduled a service. Not only was his crew on time, efficient, observing safe distancing, and very personable, they were professional, considerate of personal property, and went the extra mile on cleanup.
