I was instantly happy with my service at AAMCO when I called looking to schedule an appointment. He was able to order the part quickly and repaired my car happily after I had to reschedule a couple times. I will bring my car here again and again.

I went to AAMCO because they have a reputation for being professional transmission specialists. I had an appointment at noon. I was well prepared to leave the vehicle for days or weeks if need be. When I asked how long the diagnosis would take I was told it would take the afternoon. Perfectly fine with me. My problem started when I never received a call that night or the following day. I called them the following morning, left a message inquiring on the status of my vehicle and did not receive a return call for over two hours. Hmmm. So I grabbed an Uber and headed down there. They hadn’t even moved my vehicle. No call, no work, so they gave me a false appointment time that was scheduled over 2 weeks in advance and this is the customer service I received. I’ll never take a vehicle there again and if anyone mentions the name AAMCO near me they will hear this story and a better recommendation from me. I will be taking my vehicle to Advanced Transmission Center instead. They answered the phone professionally and I hope will treat my business and time with a little more respect than AAMCO did. AAMCO cost me valuable time and money without even doing anything to help the situation.

Off and on over the years Ive been dealing with Aamco regarding issues Im just not quite professional able to take care of myself. This little experience was one heck of an experience. Im in between jobs, moving tomorrow; I just got my truck back today. I took my truck there last Wednesday because is it still misfiring I just dont have the time to do this plus its too hot and Im too lazy. Anyways my tuck had been broken into not once but the thief came back for the rest the next night. Bill and his team they took care of me they took care of me. I didnt even have to ask or question cuz I knew it was going to be done like that. I told all my friends about this before it happened I am so extremely satisfied the issue is in good hands. But not quite over. Still, without a doubt i they have been a blessing. My truck still has a weak cylinder I dont have the money for that right now but when the time comes I will gladly go back there again and do business with these people. Great people to work with. We are from North Carolina and our transmission went out in Golden. We had to replace the transmission and they did it in two days. The dealer said it will take two weeks. They kept me will inform throughout the process. I will highly recommend them to anyone.

Great work and customer relations! AAMCO Lakewood accurately determined that my cars clutch needed to be replaced. They gave me a good quote before doing the work and explained what had to be done. I brought the car back two days later after some price checking and research and they completed the work in a few hours. Bill showed me the parts that had been damaged and described in detail the size sleeve needed since this was a Subaru. Steve, the owner, even gave me a lift to and from my work to make the whole process as easy as possible.

Steve and Bill did me a good job on our 2001 RX300 Transmission.We have drove the car twice to Florida and back to Colorado for atotal of 7,700 miles at 70-75 mph. I would hit the road and go anywherewith this Transmission rebuild.

I had great experience with this shop. I had a brake light issue on my Hyundai that caused the safety lock on my transmission to engage. They diagnosed and repaired the car within less than 30 minutes and got me out the door and back to work. They are a full service shop, honest, reliable and I highly recommend them for any make or model!

Let me explain to you what top notch service is all about. Had a axel seal go out right next to the Transmission. Car sits to low for me to crawl under and look at it so I make a few calls and Bill here is highly suggested for anything close to a Transmission area. Not only did he save my hide but he was very professional and quick to work with. You don’t hear honest or truthful in the auto industry often, but that’s exactly what he was and I appreciate that more than most.If you need repairs not only do you get the help here but the service is fast HONEST and top notch. These guys are awesome. Had a Pre-Purchase Inspection done. They were thorough, gave me a lot of their time, made helpful suggestions. They even made a small repair! I had my caddy transmission recased. It runs perfect, and they did an amazing job! This would be a 5 stars review. However, I noticed that my hazard light switch was broke off my steering column.

Called AAMCO on west colfax for an estimate on getting a routine transmission service done on my 2009 Silverado. Not only did they have the best price from the places I called, but they were able to get me in the next day. I asked about further service needed (which gave him the opportunity to charge me for something I didnt need), and he told me I didnt need it. Best of all, they actually took proper care to keep the inside of my vehicle clean. Thanks to Bill there who I worked with from phone call to pick up.

Could not ask for a better shop traveling out of state I called this Aamco approximately 400 miles from their shop traveling with a blowed clutch told the guy what I needed that I would be at his shop the next morning at 8 a.m. if you can have my parts so I can get back on the road back to Phoenix Arizona this was in Denver I got to the shop at 8 they just started on my truck the owner give me a ride back to my motel 6 hours later they called me told me my truck was done the owner come and got me at my motel bring me back to get my truck could not ask for a better experience especially traveling on the road excellent people highly recommend them

Bill, Steve and the Mechanics at AAMCO were great, we were 1000 miles from home and overheated transmission pulling our camper up the mountains. Took it in to have it checked out and they repaired a missing heat shield, flushed the cooler and changed fluid and filter and got me back on the road. Did not try to sell me anything I didnt need, gave me 3 prices depending on rusted line and radiator fittings and repairs were completed at the lowest price I was given. Thats honesty and integrity there! I wish they were closer to home I would give them all my business.

I had been smelling gas inside my car (not a good thing) and knew that I needed to get it taken care of right away. I didnt have a steady mechanic that I used, so I took to google to find help. There were several options that I were given, but I dont take anything at face value. After scouring through the reviews, I decided on AAMCO, and man was I glad I did. The work I needed was expensive, but Mike took the time to explain all the costs to me in a way that made sense, and even help me find a part that would reduce my overall charge. The work done was quick, thorough, and now my car smells like a car instead of a gas station. These guys provided me outstanding customer service, and I will recommend them to anyone that has auto issues. Had a great experience here when our transmission crapped out after a trip from Moab. It’s never easy trying out an auto shop especially when you know it could be expensive. They diagnosed the problem quickly and gave us a few options for fixing it given our budget. They fixed it faster then quoted and no major changes to the original quote. Very happy with the whole experience and will be coming back for any future issues.

Steve and this shop took care of me. There was an issue with a sensor after I had taken my truck in for some repairs and when I took my truck back due to the sensor they didnt give me any hassle. They wanted to make sure they fixed the issue, which is something most shops wouldnt take the time to do. Worth a visit for sure.

DO NOT GO HERE. They charged me $97 to diagnose my car, for which they drove it around and burned my gas, to tell me there was a noise in the transmission (which is the reason I was there in the first place) and that it needed to be replaced, which was going to cost $3000 - $4000. I took it to my parents auto shop while i was home for the holidays and they said the transmission was in good shape, replaced a sensor and everything works perfect. Do not go here unless you want to be robbed blind by some very dishonest people who do not know how to do their job.

DO NOT GO HERE! They break your car when fixing whatever problem you bring your car in for; this in order to create more revenue. They broke my starter, which had ZERO issues until they worked on my transmission! They refuse to remedy the issue and will be finding themselves in litigation for the damages. DO NOT GO HERE!

They had my vehicle almost a month. once i got it back the linkage for my four wheel drive shifter wont stay together, my guess is that it was ripped out of the plastic piece and now falls out of place. witch is great when its snowing and need 4 wheel drive. was not disappointed with the communication from them dont think i want to bring my truck back if i have any problems. i would not recommend them...........

Half ass take your money and run douche bags...nothing but troubles with our replacement transmission. Couldnt do it right if you bribe them. My wife just broke down in the middle of no where because of their jacked up work. Could do better myself but the warranty wont cover it...Nice to your face but you could get better service from your neighbor the drunk fowl mouth mechanic. Would give 0 stars if possible! You guys are a joke and the same drain on society as the rest. YOU SUCK AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS!

I brought my car in to have a transmission issue checked. Before driving in, I called and was told they could look at it later that day, or the next day. The following day, having received no communication, I called. Again, I was told later that day, or the next day. The following day, I called again and was told I was next, Id receive a call before they left for the day. That never happened. Being without the car for the weekend, I went in on Monday morning and found they hadnt even started on my car.I understand being busy. If they would have been upfront, I could have planned for a delay of a few days or taken it elsewhere. As it was, I ended up taking my car to a different transmission shop and found it was only a disconnected sensor that took all of ten minutes to diagnose and fix.

Got my 01 grand cherokee transmission rebuilt here about a month ago. They are very professional and willing to work with you. They will look at your whole car and tell you the issues but also give you the opportunity to decline service. I waited only a week for a full transmission rebuild. They did a great job will be back to get my other jeep done

Honestly disappointed cause i have a lot of work done by them but i have to say its never been great. Last thing i got fixed was a radiator for my Buick thats leaking still and installed incorrectly. Brand new charged me 275 to install. They didnt flush it so old radiator fluid messed up my new unit. im mad because I always get my cars back and have to take it to them again to refix the fix.

I was a bit panicky when I brought my Lexus RX300 in. Shes an old gal and she had NO transmission fluid on the dip stick at all. They found a leak in the line and showed it to me, ordered the parts and topped me off so I would be OK for a few days until I could get it back in and repaired.Everyone was very respectful and reassuring. I had been to two other shops that were less than helpful. Shes all fixed now and I learned that they do all car repair not just transmission work. We will definitely be back :) Many thanks!

You know I should try to post when things go well but I took a new car to these guys because there was a alignment issue (should’ve been fixed in hour- took a day and a half) but the thing that topped it for me was that they lied about taking a look at an issue we had with the car. We heard a noise coming from it and they said they couldn’t hear it. We kept hearing it, and sure enough, ended up stranded on the side of the road... thanks for pushing us to the back of the list like you do all your warranty stuff guys. We’re going someone else next time.

I was thoroughly satisfied with appointment for a transmission flush & filter. Being that I had an older vehicle Steve said it would be wise to do a transmission service & not flush the entire transmission. In other words by being honest he saved me many dollars. My vehicle was also completed on time.

THEY LOOKED THROUGH ALL COMPARTMENTS OF THE INTERIOR OF MY CAR!!! Let me start at the beginning. I dropped off my car Jan 31st for them to look at first thing the next morning was told I would hear something by about 11am (they close at 12pm). About 11:30 I called them to only be informed that there were 3-4 leaks and a few belts that needed to be replaced, they could not tell me how much as the warranty people from my car company did not work on Saturdays. I was told first thing Monday morning they would contact warranty company, I called them at lunch time and was told they had not even contacted the warranty company yet. They finally called me back an hour later to say they could not get through to the warranty company and would try again the next day. By this point they have had my car for 3 going on 4 days. I finally get a call from they saying that the warranty does not apply to any of the repairs needed and it will cost me $1200 to fix all the leaks. They never did give me the price for the belts they said needed to be replaced. That seemed a bit ridiculous to me for 3 gaskets so I went to pick it up without getting the repairs done. Im glad I did because the next day when my wife went to drive it to school she noticed that all interior compartments of the car had been rummaged through. We dont think anything was actually taken but the point is that there was no need for them to search our vehicle when the repairs were all engine related. To make matters worse the day after we got the car back we started having more issues with the vehicle such as it does not want to start half the time. Makes me wonder what they did to it all those days they had it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE!!

October 2010 brought in my car for transmission for repair; Car promised back in 2-3 days; it took 3 weeks. I paid $2,600 for a 12 month warranty on this repair.June 2011 transmission went out again; Car promised back in 2 days again took 3 weeks for repair ;4 mo. warranty remained. 3 weeks later took car back when something didnt feel right. Steve test drove it returning to state nothing wrong.July 2012 transmission went out again; 4th gear had gone out entirely. Took car back to AAMCO after receiving test data from Hyundai dealer ; provided data to Steve at AAMCO. Steve again took car stating repair would be completed in 2-3 days. Today - August 17, 2012 - I still dont have a car and each time I call back Steve Fielder tells me 2 more days.I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I paid $2,600 less than 1 & 1/2 years ago and the transmission was never fixed. Steve Fielder at AAMCO in Lakewood is robbing me without a gun.RUN DO NOT WALK from AAMCO Lakewood (West Colfax).

Note- this is for this aamco in particular . These guys are garbage mechanics dont go for their repairs cause they are cheap because their quality of work and customer service is stated in their low prices. I got my transmission built by them and it was slipping, clunking into gear and not shifting properly within a week! I took it in several times and they said it was fine just long enough to void my cheesy 15,000 warranty. My transmission is out of commission and Im getting it replaced. Steve is a scam artist and they by far do the worst mechanical work I have ever seen so please take this review and refrain from getting your vehicle repaired here.Sincerely,Ranse Ford

Held car for 3 full business days.with an appointment before dropping it off 8am. . didnt even order a part or anything that day. a check at most for parts they needed was done in that 8hrs. Shouldve been a 1day job scheduled right at the beginning of the day. And then go to pickup at noon n wait for 2 hrs..they close at noon.and didnt give me an oil change. Was the first thing I said. If u dont have family there you wont like the pricing. Get a 2nd opinion. Wish I did

Over priced and lazy. Shop tells you one price, charges you another. 240 dollars for a battery?!?! 🤣 If you want to spend more money on unnecessary extras in your car youre in the right place. Fake smiles and rough edged forced nice-ness. Id be out of business if I didnt get it right the first time 95% of the time. Go somewhere itll be done costly and correct all in one go!

I was in there for a clutch... A little pricey but overall they did a good job. I had to wait longer than expected but the repairs were done right if not better. These guys specialize in transmissions and they do a good job at it.

I came in a few weeks ago to have something fixed with my transmission. They were successful in helping me, and a few weeks later I reccomended their service to a friend. They were not able to help her problem and when she drove her car away, it was not in good shape. She eventually broke down. (Her car had been running properly beforehand). To top it off, Bill and Steve did not give her a proper apology for this alarming experience that they were at fault for.If there is something wrong with your transmission, this AAmco can probably help you. For any other issues, I would reccomend going somewhere else. Finally, the parking lot is cramped and full of pot holes, so be prepared for that if you do go.

This place is awful. My transmission light went on in my car the day before we were scheduled to leave town. I brought my car there and was told it would be ready by the time I got back from my two week vacation. We have used this place in the past and trusted the owner. We rented a car ($600 later). We came back and they hadnt even looked at my car. It took 2 1/2 months!!! We couldnt take it back because it was in pieces, literally. We finally got it back and the light was still on! We went rounds with him and he would hide when we would drive in. Terrible. This went on for another month....but we have warranty so have to stay with him at this point. He then charged another $750 which is crap because we were initially charged the other $3500 set price and told he could fix it. Later we learned this is illegal which is besides the point. I finally got my car back and on the way home my skid plate fell off causing me to almost go off the road. Will never come back here and am pursuing other measures.

Aamco did a great job, they took out my 300000 mile original tranny and replaced it . Man I forgot how nice my truck drives with a good transmission. Thanks Bill and all the guys who work on it.

I went there for a test i wanted to see how much transmission will costHe didnt took the time to drive it or anything​.3 min later he said $3000 dollars.that was all my free test!! Very honest but not what i want it to hear. In tht case i would go to autozone for OBD TEST

I was refered to Aamco by my auto warranty company. From the time I got there until the time I picked up my car I was treated like their most important customer. Everyone was helpful and spent a great deal of time diagnosing the problem with my car. The work was done fast ( 3 days before the date promised! ) and complete, my car never ran so well! I cant say enough about the service I received and being kept informed by Lori made the whole experience bareable. Steve, you have a customer for life.

On 2/13/14 I had gotten stuck on a sheet of ice outside my babysitters house and ended up snapping my axel. I was towed to AAMCO because it was the closest to where I was. At first it seemed like it was going to be a great experience. They gave me a ride to work so I didnt miss the whole day. They never even looked under my car. They just assumed that it was the transmission since the car wouldnt drive when it was in gear. They quoted me 1800 to replace my transmission with a used one or 2300 to repair mine, all while never having looked under the car. I called the dealership where I got the car and they wanted to tow it from aamco to their shop so that they could look at it and boy am I glad that I did that. AAMCO also tried to tell me that they werent gonna let the dealership take my car because of a personal issue between the two businesses that had nothing to do with me. It was not my transmission at all, it was my axel had completely snapped from spinning the wheels too fast on the ice. AAMCO would have really screwed me over money wise had I decided to let them fix my car. Never again will I take my car to them! I just dont understand how they can diagnose a car without ever looking underneath and taking a complete look at everything on the car.
