I can’t thank Joyee enough for his help throughout the graduate school admissions process. At the start I wasn’t sure how to best separate myself from the other applicants and clearly convey my career achievements to the admissions committee. Joyee was great at being able to steer me in the right direction to write a couple great application essays. The best advice Joyee gave me was to really do my research on the programs and incorporate specific courses and clubs that really interested me into my essay. I was accepted into USC’s MRED program and Georgia Tech’s MBA program. Georgia Tech also offered me a scholarship that covers 50% of my tuition. I am extremely grateful for the tutoring services Thinque Prep provided my son. The evidence is in the results, Thinque Prep was able to raise my son’s ACT score by 10 points from his initial practice test and assessment. Having the ability to frequently take practices tests (any weekend) as part of the tutoring service helped identify the weaknesses to focus on and to track progress. When my son’s progress started to plateau (5 point improvement), Joyee met with my son and I to determine what needed to be done to continue his progress. Our daughter had college goals in which every point mattered - on her GPA and ACT. We looked at several options for test prep and Joyee had a very no-nonsense, personalized approach.We saw an eight-point increase on her ACT which contributed to not only early acceptance, but a scholarship at a prominent UC school. If results matter, call Joyee. I don’t know how he does it, but he did. Proud of them both.

Joyee is one of the most hard working and supporting people I have ever met period, nonetheless a tutor. He rapidly increased my SAT scores, and he helped me through AP Calculus when it was borderline impossible for me. He also helped me in AP statistics in which I would set the curves on tests because of him. He would also tutor me after hours if I needed it late into the night even if he had other things to do, and even though for a time I was lazy and didnt do my assignments he still believed in me, and I eventually turned it around. He is a HUGE reason I got into college and I wouldnt have been able to do it without him. Also, it doesnt hurt that he knows everything. There really isnt an area of high school academics he doesnt know. Hes the epitome of an expert. He also can find plenty of practice material for you and he really does tutor you to your style If youre having second thoughts about his work ethic, intellect, or teaching ability, dont. ThinquePrep was extremely helpful for me. It helped me achieve my dream score on the SAT. On my first SAT practice test I received a 1310. After going to ThinquePrep my score improved by over 200 points and I was able to achieve a 1570 on the SAT. I would highly recommend Joyee for test preparation for the SAT or ACT or any other standardized tests. Joyee is very focused, no-nonsense guy, He helped a lot my son Serkan. After 12 sessions with Joyee his SAT score increased from 1,200 to 1,350 !!! Very condensed to the point training, well done !

I cannot say enough about Thinque Prep and Joyee Lin. He is dedicated to his students success and does a very thorough job of preparing them for the ACT or SAT test. My son, Zack, who is very bright but requires a lot of patience worked with Joyee over the summer and brought his composite ACT score up from 30 to 33. His math score increased a full 4 pts. and he scored a 35 in English. Thinque Prep has other services related to tutoring and college application preparation. Zack will be working with Joyee on his college application essays. Joyee is in California and we are in Texas but this was never an issue as the sessions are done via video chat. The office manager Jen was great to work with and the appointment process was easy to navigate. I found the rates to be very competitive for like services. If there was a way to give extra stars I would!!

After only 5-6 weeks in working with Joyee. our daughter had a significant jump in her ACT score. Effective sessions via Skype were ideal to avoid the commute to Lake Forest. Our daughter took several practice exams, Joyee was abe to identify areas that needed improvement / question comprehension.
