I have used Pacific Nail & Staple a few times for lawnmower and chainsaw repairs and maintenance. The price was so reasonable, turn around was very quick. The guys there are so good to work with and helpful. I always reccomend them to friends. Never disappointed.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. TERRIBLE customer service. Super rude and unprofessional. I brought in three chainsaws for repairs and asked to get a quote. I was told that it would be 40 something dollars per hour but the estimate was going to charge $40 something dollars per saw. Money wasn’t an issue but their response was unapologetic and completely lacked empathy. The representative rolled his eyes and shook his head throughout my convo for no reason. I asked if everything was okay and I was told “things couldn’t be better.” I asked to see a manager and told the guy that I didn’t appreciate how he was treating me. I was direct but not unkind. And The owner or employee, whoever he was, would not allow me to speak to anyone else.I am baffled bye how rude this individual was. I am confused how this company is still in business.

Just had the best shopping experience in a very long time. Tried to purchase at another Stihl dealer in Duval and couldn’t even get someone to talk to me. It’s worth driving farther out of my way to go to this place. Highly recommended.

Mike and his whole team are great people to deal with, have been for years and will continue. They do well at repairing our tools & supplying all our fasteners for the pneumatic guns we run. Fair and have a great sense of humor.

I’ve taken things here several times. Always great work at what seems like reasonable prices. Most recently, I had a generator and a few chainsaws. One of the chainsaws has been dropped in the Puget Sound...and was being a pain even before that. They told me things were a week out. Then they called the next morning. Because of the circumstances, they had flushed out the saw that took a bath and got it all tuned up overnight. Love these guys.As others have mentioned, all the workers there are not ALWAYS the most personable...but...to be fair, they always seem busy...and I’ve been in the shop when there are some other pretty rude/annoying customers. So I’d say they are doing pretty well!I, for one, am glad they’re in the area.

I had a simple maintenance need. I had done lots of business with the good people at the prior Goodsell Stihl/Honda location near by. The man at the counter now was arrogant and confrontational. It seemed to start when I said no to his advice to have it fully serviced, and got worse when I picked it up. Stay away from this place if you’re used to Goodsell quality. You won’t find it here

I took my Stihl chain saw to them to repair the pull starter and tune it up. They said it would take about a week and a half because they were busy and I paid $40 for the inspection. After 2 weeks I call them and they said the coil was bad and the part is no longer available. When I picked it up it was in the case that I bought it in so I just took it home. When I open the case it was in pieces. After looking for the part on the web and only finding used parts that were way too expensive I decided to clean it up and put it back together myself. After cleaning and gapping the coil I check the spark and realized that coil was okay. I started putting the rest of it back together and found the c-clip retainer for the carburetor linkage was missing. When I called them about the missing part I was told to call back next week and maybe they could help me. I was more than a little upset. I made a clip myself and got the saw running again.I will never do business with this company again.

Dealt with these folks on a couple of occasions, been unimpressed both times. First time they refused to honor online pricing for repairs, second time they were somewhat impolite on the phone when I inquired about their other services. Will gladly take business elsewhere.

Called Wednesday April 1st. I was looking to get a Makita tool fixed. Guy on the phone said the repair person was out and would be coming back the next week. Call 4/9/2020 Asking if i could bring in the tool to fix.(Really just need 3 small parts.) Guy on the phone said that Repair person was not in yet, I told what I needed to fix the tool. He referred me to a on line parts store. I was told by the Makita rep that this place should have the parts. So why am I being redirected to the parts store. Went to the Partstree website. Could not find Makita parts anywhere on the site. Somethings wrong with that employee at Pacific Nail and Staple. (Please note that I know the covid-19 virus is going on.)

I was told 10 days ago I would get a call within a week about the cost to fix my trimmer. No word yet.The problem is that for us that have to work all week, you have to take time off work because they close at 5 pm M-T and at 4 PM on Fridays. They are closed weekends which does not support working home owners which make it very inconvenient. It would be better to be open on Saturday and be closed on Mondays.

I had recently had an air compressor fix a couple weeks ago and had great service and very quick repair. Very please so I brought my lawn mower in hoping for the same service. That it was not.... 2 weeks later I get my lawn mower back which seemed a little long to me but thats ok. I get home and notice my muffler is barley hanging on there and completely stripped. I recently check the muffler before I brought it in for repairs and know it was not broken before I had it serviced. So I called to speak with the repair guy and ask him what happen. Well I never touched your muffler so dont know what to tell you Oh yea I did notice it was broken but I didnt do that. So you break my muffler then give me the run about. Dont waste your money here.

I went to purchase a Stihl chainsaw from this store yesterday and honestly, the only reason I made the purchase was immediate necessity and the help of a customer. The employee had next to no product knowledge, was completely aloof and unhelpful. In fact, he was downright rude when asked basic product questions. I have sales experience, and even if you dont know the answer (reasonable), you can respond politely and try to find an answer. This experience was one of the worst I have had in sales - as a local customer with many pieces of power equipment and future purchases to be made, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I called the manager, who was mildly apologetic, but in no way offered to make the situation right. Truly disappointing.

I have used Pacific Nail & Staple for many years for the spring tune up of my lawnmower and service of other landscaping & home improvement equipment. Customer service & the quality of the repair have always been exceptional. I have also purchased multiple pieces of equipment from them and found the knowledge provided & pricing superior to the Big Box stores.

Pros: they fixed my lawn mowerCons: cost wasnt clear up front; replaced an air filter that did not need replacingMy 1 year old lawn mower did not start after winter. Sears recommended me to go to them for repair and I knew it wouldnt be covered by warranty because I didnt put fuel stabilizer prior to winter storage. I was told the repair was likely going to be the spring tune up special $89 + parts, which is great. I even asked how much the spark plug (~$10) would be and expected that. When I picked up the lawn mower I was a little surprised at the invoice, which turned out to be ~$150. I was expecting $89 + $10. So I asked what was done. It seems they did the whole spring tune up special. This would have been okay except for a few things. First I did check the filter before I went and the filter looked almost pristine. The invoice said filter was replaced which was about $30. In addition, the mower I got was a no oil change just add model. So I felt like I was being charged for unnecessary oil change too.Overall, I felt the person who serviced my lawn mower replaced a filter when it wasnt necessary nor was it the cause of why my mower did not start. I wasnt informed of this and got billed more than I expected. When I asked what was done the person basically said everything in the tune up package. He did not mention what was the cause of the original problem.

Dropped off my lawn mower that the company they took over (Goodsell in Kirkland) charged me about $100 in last spring and is not working again. I asked what I thought was a legitimate question. Why does it take a week to look at the mower in the fall? Seem like a long time to get to it.. The guy was extremely rude and also said maybe they dont need my business. Great way to run a business??

The worst customer service of literally any store I have ever been inside of in my life. I can’t believe they are still in business, if my experience is how their customers are treated. The man was so rude I literally walked out of the door after 1 minute of being inside on my very first visit to the store. Unbelievable. I’ll for sure never go back and will never give it a recommendation other than stay away.

I brought my Makita, 18v lithium battery drill to get fixed, as it was still under warranty, and this was the store Makita told me to go to. The drill was in very good shape, and had a simple fix I imagine.I called back one month later and they had not even looked at it yet. The man on the phone was curt, and was quickly hostile about the amount of work they had, justifying their lack of service.I called back 6 weeks later with the same result. I imagine if they even opened it up, they would realize it is not a job that takes 6 weeks to address. Terrible service for the average joe.

In June I brought in a non-working drill and framing nailer leaking air for repair, it took a week longer than estimated. I do multiple trades so I set the repaired tools in my garage assuming they were ready to work when I needed them. Fast forward to October I get a framing job and pull the nailer off the shelf. It leaks badly out of the new gasket on the head. I hadnt used the drill either since I bought a replacement when it initially broke so I figured I better check it out too. Their repair was a new power supply cord which upon inspection was slashed so deep the ground wire was cut completely. I understand the amount of time that had passed was far beyond a free replacement but I took it with me to show them when I brought the nailer back in. Both tools still clean from being repaired, had not been used AT ALL! I told the guy at the counter I did not expect a new cord but I wanted the nailer fixed for free. He refused to even look at it, instead he asked me to pay a deposit and have them fix it again at normal rate. He never even LOOKED at it. Even with everyday use, 4 months for a gasket repair is awful, they obviously never checked it when they put it back together. I could only assume his general arrogance experienced during both visits meant he was the owner and I confirmed it reading these reviews. The other guys that work there were friendly and knowledgeable but I wont be back.
