Boyles as the standard of beef. The last 2 have been so horribly incosis tent its aweful.they used to be great taste. They last two. One was soo briney it was uneatible and the 2nd tasteless.....this year Gobbler and O brien were aweaome. Boyles is losing it.
They dont state on the package whether or not it is flat cut or point cut. I dont like the fat on the point cut. Recipe stated use flat cut. I ended up with the fatty point cut which cant be trimmed of intermuscular fat.
I have purchased Boyles Corned Beef many times before. They are always delicious and cant stop eating. So this past week, I decided to cook 2 Boyles Corned Beefs so we could make Ruebens with the leftovers. I have plenty of leftovers because they were absolutely tasteless! We could hardly even eat what was on our plates...total waste of money at $5.99 a pound! Will never buy Boyles again.
Ugh. Had to buy this because my regular cut wasnt available. Nasty .Never again. Ill do without before buying this again.Would not recommend. In fact, would warn anyone who asks.6 hours at 200 degrees and it was tough, chewy, grainy, flavorless, and disappointing.
Stands above the rest and costs a little more but not as much as some (name) national brands. The cuts are pretty much flats but the secret to this corned beef is that its packaged in the seaaoning corns so the whole beef gets to soak in the spices unlike all the others who put a slice package in that has to be added and has little effect on the flavor. Freinds who move away from KC particular my east coasters always mention they miss good BBQ and Boyles on St Paddys.
Always great never disappoints
Absolutely spectacular business partners
