Had a great time out on the lake on a pontoon boat. The rates are reasonable, and they were most understanding about me losing their ancor. 😅 All in all, my friend and I had a great time and cant wait to do it again soon. Longview lake really is a gem in the heart of KC. ❤

Our grandkids love to see the carp at the marina. You can buy food for the fish inside the marina. You can also rent pontoon boats or fishing boats at this Marina. Word of advice secure your boat well in advance they are booked sometimes weeks in advance.

300 on a weekend for pontoon rental. Small boat. Broken gas tank. Ripped seats. Anchor didnt even work.. Broken radio. Some parts of lake are off limits due to shallow water so, Small lake too. But the staff is friendly.

We grab some lunch on our way to Longview Lake. We ate and fed the fish! Great, inexpensive, time well spent!!

Great lake to go to during the week (calm water great ,great fishing ) . Stay away on the weekends . It fills up with waverunners and people pulling tubes . Its so bad on the weekends that even with 2 anchors and a trolling motor we were Getting slammed into the shore . The lake is just to small for all the high speed watercraft

None of the gages worked on our rental pontoon, so I never knew how fast I was going or how much gas was left. We were told the cove is a good place to hang out, but the anchor they gave us was not long enough to hold us in place with that water depth. We also paid half price ($25) for a lilly pad that had a hole in the middle. It was pretty much entirely ripped in half. Overall, most of the employees were very nice and we had a fun lake day.

We love it here! Every spring the kids and I go feed the fish.

Longview is a great lake to take the family to cookout, fish, swim, or boating. There are 2 different boat ramps which make it accessible to get on the water.

We called late this week and they were booked for boat rentals. We looked today and there were some available, but you had to rent them in person. We were fortunate to get there in time, but would have preferred to have been able to reserve over the phone. Great service and physical distancing measures in place on both ends of the rental. Lake is kind of small, but there are some nice coves and places to anchor the boat and swim. Overall a great experience!

Fantastic facilities and staff are remarkably amazing. The marina dock is a great place to relax and fish. I love this place !!!

Beautiful. Shelter houses, camping, hiking trails and a marina. Boat rentals are available. Nice size lake.

We rent the boats, its a good relaxing away time to listen to music and fish.

You can rent various types of boats. Covid is currently preventing rentals. But it is fun to walk the floating dock. Check out the crazy carps. Feed the fish that come to the surface and follow you around!

Pretty good facility we are at site 66 love it. I dont think they should be changing full price when everything is non operational like play ground for kids and swim beaches but the staff seems to be very nice and accommodating.

Love to watch all the beautiful boats enter into the lake. It is very nice and a good way to spend early afternoons and evenings.

Great marina. Nice picnic areas. Pretty lake.. A little to much partying for my family though.

Its convenient to find from the main road, Raytown road. There is plenty of parking and way to negotiate in to. There is a large boat ramp. It is in a central location to Longview Lake park area. The parking lot is open 24x7 and also has a road to the trail head.

This is a beautiful place to visit even if you dont have a boat to put on the water. My wife, the kids, and I love to come out and just watch the water and the people, enjoy Gods creation.

Nice Marina only two cars at a time can dock though the sun coming up was beautiful over the water they were already people putting boats in fishing and this was like 6:00 in the morning pretty nice place a little expensive but nice

I went to run the trails and picnic. Haha. Its a path, not a trail, so my run was great, but not what I expected. Very limited lake views on the path. Of course, I have to add that my point of reference is Wyco Lake trails and thats an unfair comparison. I saw very limited views and do not think the 20 minute drive is something I will be in a rush to attempt again for a scenic run. My fault- my expectations were higher and I should have done more research.

Rented a pontoon boat. Boat was fine but old, ran well just a little worn and tattered looking. The big complaint was that they did not have a life jacket for a child weighing less than 50 pounds. Life jackets were crammed in a bin and had mold and super stinky. I believe when renting a boat they are required by law to provide appropriate fitting life jackets so this was unacceptable to me. We ended up using our own puddle jumper which is not technically coast guard approved.

Unfortunately, there was a lot of litter down by the shoreline and lots of broken class in the boat ramp parking lot. We also didnt feel the route to the walking path was well marked.

I am new to town and had some guests staying the weekend and wanted to find a beach where we could also enjoy some beers. I called around to the lakes and no one allowed alcohol on their swim beaches. So we decided to rent a pontoon!It was a Friday when we went to Longview Lake Marina, so we got the weekday rate for a full day boat rental, which was really reasonable. The staff was all very nice and helpful. The boat was great and could fit 10 people. There’s enough fuel in it to last you a week. I don’t think then speakers worked, but we brought our own Bluetooth speaker so that wasn’t an issue for us. The lake was also deeper than the anchor line so when we swam we would just follow the boat’s drift until we got close to the shore or buoy line and then hop back on the boat and run back up the lake. The spillway was going pretty good so there was a pretty strong current in the lake but I assume that’s only temporary.If you were born 1984 or after, you must have a boater’s license to operate a boat. We didn’t know this but luckily we had ONE member of our party who was old enough to operate it. Otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the lake! The lake itself was small but on a weekday wasn’t crowded at all, we had enough room that the lake felt much larger than it was. I highly recommend this place!

Our group of 10 spent a wonderful hour on a boat for only $50. We put down the anchor and swam ...lovely clean water. We fed the ducks, geese and buffalo carp and had a picnic at one of the shelters. Just a heads up, I dont think the bathrooms are available unless you reserve the shelter. Nice clean park, friendly people.

Couldnt really do anything due to Covid. Had a picnic outside on the ground.

Nice place to take the family on a sunny day. There are a lot of a fish around . The ramp to the lake is nice also. Its paved and very wide. There is a store as well for supplies and fuel. Storage spots may be scarce.

Best during the week.... hardly any other boats on the lake... quiet and relaxing most times

This was the first lake I visited in the US, and so it will always be quite special to me. Other than that, do check out the hungry fish which gobble up the food in moments!Lovely place to spend on a fine day.

This is an older marina with a small convenience store. The staff are friendly and helpful. Be sure to pick up a bag of fish feed to throw off the dock.. its a blast to watch the fish fight over each pebble.

Its the end of summer time is still a great experience to enjoy looking over the water, skipping rocks over it and still looking at the motor boats go by. And if Im not mistaking still able to rent a boat if you like to go out on the Waterside.

Its fun to feed all those big carp at the marina with their dog food to give you.

It was awesome. I ran 6 miles on a trail that was new to me and I will definitely run that again. Beautiful sunrise and run around the lake.

I could appreciate the lake more, know that we could rent a boat to venture out with. Services are extremely friendly!

Had a forever memory type day with my dad here. He was dying of pancreatic cancer and only had a couple months left. As a kid we had a boat down at the Lake of the Ozarks and went there most weekends. I can still remember getting up at 4AM to go fish with dad. We no longer have a boat but I rented a pontoon boat for the day at Longview. Bought us fishing licenses and brought our poles and tackle, along with some beer and sandwiches and stuff. We didnt catch much but it didnt matter. We took the day to bond and have a moment of peace and quiet, just like old times. The guys at the marina were great and the lake is fun to explore although not a really big lake its perfect for a suburban getaway. The rental wasnt particularly cheap but id give anything to have that day again. I really miss my dad.

My kids love it there. 50 cents for a bag (or a few bucks for a whole bucket!) of fish food to hand-feed the abundant carp swimming right outside, cheap ice cream treats to buy while there... would make any kid happy :-)

Not a bad place to fish, however, it is no longer a safe place to visit. Thugs are there every weekend robbing people and starting drama with fishermen and boaters. Do not visit this marina after dark, because drug dealers are waiting in the parking lot to follow people and rob them.

Its a ghost town this time of year, but, i love this lake its where all the kids in my family learned to swim

Longview Lake is my special place to go to enjoy the breeze and listen to God....it has been in my life for years and I look forward to more great memories at Longview....💞😄😄💞
