TMS is my go-to shop for anything I cant repair myself like AC work, Alignment, tire balance, etc. Quality work, done right and on time. They dont mind dealing with me when they have to fix things I break on my vehicle due to my own handiwork, and always make sure were doing only what is necessary.

I had taken my Honda in for an inspection and O2 sensor replacement. Scott was very helpful and was keeping me updated on my vehicle. He informed me they were busy and would need it for the day and he got it done as promised. My fiance also took her Nissan in for brakes and he got us in and taken care of. Look for Scott he will take care of you.

Chick-Fil-A meets automotive shop. Can you have a favorite mechanic? These guys are the nicest people you will ever meet. They have always done me right, even if it means they dont do some expensive repair. You get a sense in which they genuinely care about both you and your car. If they dont do a service, they direct you somewhere you can--and that you can also trust. They are the only people I would trust with my vehicles. As long as I am in the KC metro area, they exclusively have my business.

Great customer service. Started and finished when they said they would. I needed to have extra care done on my car because I was moving it across country. The car ran like it was brand new and made it without any problems!

I have been notorious for not taking very good care of my cars. My Toyota Corolla was not an exception. However, with a baby on the way my priorities have quickly changed and making sure my car was safe for baby was at the top of my list. From the first phone call all the way to picking up my keys, Logan and Scott were incredible! They talked to me like a real person, despite my lack of knowledge in the car department. They did a full diagnostic of my 11 year old car and came back with a detailed and fair estimate. They walked me through what should be priority and what could wait. When I brought it back to actually have the issues on that list addressed, they got my car in and out a whole day ahead of what was quoted. They spent extra hours at the shop after closing time to give my car the extra attention it needed. Communication was excellent and I never once worried about the care my car was in. Gave them my 2013 Dodge Charger for what I thought were soft brakes. They ran all the tests and couldnt find anything wrong. They easily could have made something up and charged me for some ridiculous reason but they didnt. Very stand up and honest people. They will be getting all my business in the future

As a younger woman who shopped around for what I needed done, I was so pleased by their attitude, efficiency and price. It was hundreds less than any other place I looked at and they got me in and out in a couple of hours while everyone else said they would need days. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Service was quick. I had a battery cable that has come loose a couple times and they tightened it back up for free! The last time it happened, a different place charged me $30. They explained to me what I probably need to replace and didnt talk to me like a woman that knows nothing about cars (which I definitely am). Ive brought many cars that Ive owned to Andrew for more than 10 years. He is a first class mechanic and a first class businessman. When I met him I was immediately impressed with his ability to talk to me like a friend I could trust. He is not a grease-monkey! He is well educated and his crew are professional mechanics. The fellows he employs there are, like him, clean cut, clean clothed and courteous. Notwithstanding all of this, Andrews presentation of his diagnosis of my cars troubles always makes me feel like he is giving me a fair price & that he is not withholding information that will cost me later. He even gives me the old parts to take home! The shop is clean and comfortable, with restaurants and shopping just a few steps away. I see from the photos that he now has a courtesy van and Im not at all suprised. Everything about the Maintenance Shop seems to oriented towards customer service. Ive never gotten the feeling that his focus was on profit or his own convenience. I recommend Andrew and The Maintenance Shop services to any of my friends & family even if it means going out of the way to get there.

Very Honest! I took in my 2010 F150 for possible water in the oil. They checked it out and changed the plug with new boots. They found no issues with the water getting into the oil. They could have said it was the head gasket but had great integrity. I would highly recommend the shop to anyone that needs a great mechanic.

I am a new customer. I decided to give TMS a try after visiting with a neighbor. My 2002 Miata has 113,000 miles and I am getting ready to take it on a long 7,000 mile road trip. I wanted it checked out before leaving and had a few things that I thought might need to be done before the trip. TMS did a thorough inspection and replaced a leaking transmission seal. Most of my few things turned out to be not necessary at this time. I was impressed that they did not push doing work that really wasnt needed. Fair prices, thorough and honest technicians, great customer service... I am very, very pleased.

I am from Colorado and came to town to help my sister who lives there in KC. Her Grand Cherokee broke down and I came out there to help her get it fixed. Had it towed to TMS and told them to call me in CO with details and my sister would pick up and pay. Axle shaft snapped and they dealt with many places to get a replacement. They ended up having to get a close match and have it machined to work. They didnt charge extra for this even though they had a lot more man hours in it than the book time the job called for. They also noticed that there is a bit of fan play indicating a POSSIBLE water pump issue, so I authorized them to have a closer look and replace if necessary. They came back and said the water pump will be ok for a while longer and charged a mere $35 extra for the diagnostic. I used to turn wrenches, and my situation would have been PERFECT for a dishonest shop. (The guy who knew about cars is two states away and has to take their word on it and the lady in town with the money doesnt know jack about cars). Instead, they chose to do the right thing and even saved me from an extra service that I already authorized if needed. Once you authorize a potential repair is it VERY uncommon for a shop to come back and say you dont really need it...especially when Im two states away. This isnt a fake review..feel free to contact me with questions regarding this transaction. Very, very impressed. If I lived in KC, I would bring all my vehicles to them.

Guys called first thing in the morning, they said they were pretty full but since she was from out of town they worked her into the schedule and got her on the road by noon. Ive brought my 09 Acura RDX in here twice now. Once for a rock taking out the A/C, and today because all the oil decided to blow out the bottom of my car as I was driving. I am a fireman with ZERO engine knowledge. I was sure with my luck the engine was totalled. They took it in (worked late on it) and found it was just a hole in the oil filter. Cheap fix, nothing else wrong with the car. Got it back same day. They even cleaned up all the oil from underneath. Their honesty alone is more than enough reason to take your vehicle here. They all seem like genuinely nice and friendly people as well. Cant say anything even remotely negative in my experiences with them and plan to take all my business here and recommend anyone with car problems to do the same.

I couldnt have been more pleased with the experience I had here. After getting my engine light checked out I was told I had a gasket problem so I brought it to TMS to get looked at. After fixing what they thought needed fixed they were still hesitant to give me my car back because it just wasnt running properly. At first I was irritated, but they kept looking at possible issues and ended up finding out that my gas had become HEAVILY contaminated with water. They then took me through the steps to get a hold of the gas station and their insurance so that I could be off the hook for a good amount of the repairs needed for my car (Saved me over $1000 when everything was done). Safe to say I became okay with not having my car for a few extra days after that. If you ever need your car worked on, TMS is the place to go.

My experience was beyond words they really want to help the staff works with you and they are very honest about the work you need done this company treats you like family when you walk through the door trust me when i say the best shop around your car will be in great hands so if your in need of car repair TMS is where you should be!!!

Do not go here, extremely overpriced. They charged me nearly $600. Just to replace my starter a job that should be no more than $350. Complete rip off.

The guys at TMS are always polite, listen to you, evaluate your car and give you an estimate before doing any work.Overall, I am willing to pay the little extra for the quality of the work and GREAT Customer Service! I have never had a problem getting my car in at the last minute as they are very flexible and will bend over backwards to get the job done for you. They at one point cut open the whole wire harness to find the frayed wire as he didnt believe that the sensor should have gone bad so quickly. Sure enough it was a bad wire and not the sensor so only got charged for the harness.Thank you TMS for doing such a quality job and have such Great Customer Service.Cristie

The environment was extremely inviting, and I can honestly say I have never been to an automotive repair facility with a fireplace! Andrew and his staff have serviced my truck for over five years now, and I wouldn’t even contemplate taking it somewhere else. I don’t even live in Gladstone, and drive 30 minutes merely to have my oil changed, since they carry the finest products including AMSOIL. It is rare in the automotive realm to find an honest and sincere staff like the folks at TMS Automotive, let alone a clean environment. Not to mention their coffee is incredible! Highly recommended, a true gem in the automotive industry!

Avoid this place. These guys quoted me a list of repairs totaling over $1800. I went to another shop and turned out all the things on their list were fine! I wont go back and neither will anyone in my family or friends.
