I have to say they where always professional. They are a great builder they help with everything which was nice made the whole experience pretty stress free. My wife and I love our home I so happy we picked Finmark they are the best in the valley the process from getting the construction loan to the end was so organized and so easy to do. They are family run business so they care about what they do. I would recommend to anyone who wants a quality home built go to Finmark they are the best at what they do.

Finmark built our custom house last year. My husband and I were impressed with their professionalism all the way from the design phase and into the actual construction of our home. The accommodated our changes without any complaint. Any issues that came up (which always happens with new builds) were quickly fixed. We were overall impressed with Finmark.

We moved to the Kalispell area during the COVID crisis in June of 2020. We were downsizing and always wanted to design and have a custom home built to suit our needs. We had plenty of time to start researching on-line for home builders in the Flathead Valley prior to our move - at least 3 months and we had narrowed it down to 3 or 4 builders with Finmark at the top of our list to visit and view in person several of their homes. From the time we first visited their facility and met the Oja family team we were sold. Very courteous, professional and attentive to our needs. We felt blessed to have had the opportunity to work with them during these difficult times of contractor and material shortages as they were very patient with us and our delays were minimal compared to so many others. Our home turned out beautiful and everyone who visits us emphasizes the quality and unique designs that compliment and identify Finmark as a truly crafted and quality home builder.

Our project consisted of demolishing an existing structure and building a main house, guest house and garage apartment all from our location in Idaho. Despite the distance to Columbia Falls, we felt as if we were on site each day of the build as Finmark kept us in the loop with daily logs, photos, and messages detailing the progress. Their 3-D renderings allowed us to imagine every detail and walk thru every aspect of the homes allowing us to explore options. From siting for perfect views to selecting the last door knob, we were in capable hands. They fearlessly tackled a large, daunting roof line, significant timber work and a soaring glass prow. From day one, we were impressed by their level of organization, their creativity, their commitment to problem solving, and the positive relationship they had with their subcontractors. Finmark has established a team of craftsmen that take pride in their work and enjoy working together. The advantage of this family business is their seamless communication with one another and the relationships they have built that translate into a highly efficient, well oiled machine. The homebuilding process is supposed to be frustrating, complicated, terrible and a very unpleasant experience. At least, that is what Ive heard my entire life. After working with Finmark Construction, I can say with 100% confidence, the homebuilding process is none of these things! Derek has a gift when it comes to taking your imagination and packaging into a beautiful and functional design that will come to life. The software they use allows you to get constant updates and provide immediate feedback. The schedule is laid out so you know exactly what to expect and when to expect it. I havent talked with anybody who hired a builder that gets their project done on time AND within budget. Well, guess what? Finmark does that too! Shout out to Lars (our residential project manager) and Jeff (commercial project manager)! These guys we always providing expert advise, connecting with us to make sure our expectations were being met and followed through on everything big and small.

I am a Realtor out of Minnesota and recently went to visit my aunt and uncle who just built their home with Finmark Construction. I have never seen such an amazing home, such quality and details! I kept asking/telling my aunt, What flooring did they use? The barn doors! So smartly placed and functional. I love how they used the wood everywhere, and on and on. I even reached out to the company to find out some of the building materials used so I could TRY and replicate some back home and I was immediately replied to with a warm personal email and even asking how my aunt and uncle were doing. We love Finmark Construction and LOVE LOVE LOVE the beautiful home they built for us. My husband is in a wheelchair and Derek designed a home that is so perfect for him with a huge master bathroom, wider hallways, and a flowing open floor plan that makes it easy for him to get around. The entire crew is extremely professional, all wearing Finmark shirts. They are hard working, kind, understanding, and very respectful. Our home is very high quality at a very good price without cutting corners. Finmark works with you and your budget and uses a software program Builderstrend that enables you to communicate with them on a daily basis with To-Do Lists, calendar, messages, pending change orders, upcoming selections, warranty items and recent daily logs with photos. There are never any hidden expenses. Even after construction they are there for you with any problems that might show up during the one year warranty period. They are the best builders in the Flathead Valley and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs to find a quality professional builder!! Everyone loves our home!!

It’s easier to give a more accurate assessment of a new car’s performance after a year of ownership; such as mpg, reliability, comfort, etc. We feel the same is true with a new home. It’s now been a year since we moved into our home that Derek expertly designed for us. The past year has given us an opportunity to assess the homes performance. We had high expectations because we’re fortunate to have had numerous homes built over the years. We’re pleased to say our expectations have been exceeded. Our Finmark constructed home has proven to be energy efficient, very comfortable, and the quality of construction is evident throughout. While we can’t say enough about the professionalism and responsiveness of the management team of Derek, Lars, Levi, Ned and John, what impressed us was that same level of professionalism and common courtesy was apparent with each and every front line worker we encountered. We are so pleased with our new home ! Finmark was great to work with. They completed our home on time and for the amount we had agreed upon. There were no surprises at the end . They listened to our suggestions and also offered input if they had other ideas. We had built 4 homes previously and had never been as satisfied as we are with our Finmark home. Our home that the Finmark team just completed on November 29th, 2018 turned out to be perfect. The Finmark group pays attention to detail and are craftsmen extraordinare. We asked them to step a bit out of the Montana lodge motif, with our particular taste in design in mind, and they rose to the challenge. The subcontrators they aligned us with were courteous, diligent, consciencious and efficient. This was the fifth house that we have had built for us over the past 30 years and are very, very pleased with the result.

We built from out-of-state (1,800 miles away) and it was easier than when we built our first home right next door!!! We cant say enough GREAT things about Derek, Ned, Lars, Levi, John and the ENTIRE crew that helped build our dream home! They proved to operate with the highest integrity - we honestly felt like we were dealing with family!We were treated like we mattered from the very first conversation about our project (and, no, they didnt throw a pre-construction contract in-front of us or demand to be paid to produce a competitive bid like some builders in the area!) - they just thanked us for the opportunity and then bid the job FAIRLY (in-line with the scope laid-out by our architect) and backed it-up with a boat-load of references from 1, 3 and 5 years ago (who, like I am now, couldnt compliment them enough on a job well-done).They delivered the most-detailed bid we received ON TIME (which appeared to be problematic for other contractors)! The project went smoothly and professionally and we ENJOYED every last minute!They kept us updated throughout the project using BuilderTrend (and Face Time and phone calls and even drone photography) - the communication was seamless! They lived-up to EVERY promise....and then some! Lars proved invaluable throughout the selection process - he is EXCEPTIONAL at what he does! His guidance and suggestions were (and remain) the key to our happiness with the finished project! Levi kept things moving in the field and every time we were in-town for a meeting, we were impressed by the teamwork demonstrated by ALL the PEOPLE at Finmark!
