I am extremely disappointed in this company. In less that two years my mothers stair lift batteries needed to be replaced. I paid the bill. Less than one year later the batteries died again. I refused to pay the bill and called the headquarters to speak to someone. I left a voicemail and they never returned my call. Now I am receiving a late bill not only for the service call but the batteries too. Even the technician said the original batteries should have lasted 4-5 years and that the second set was obviously defective. Im going to pay the service charge but I should not have to pay for a defective set of batteries!
My chair lift was malfunctioning after ten months of good service. Access Elevator responded to my phone call the save day, and sent a serviceman--Rodney-- to my house the next morning. I taught customer service for ten years, and I can say that Rodney epitomized excellent customer service--he was knowledgeable, courteous, customer-and-solution-centered. He listened to my descriptions of a problem that seemed to occur almost randomly, making it difficult for me to demonstrate in his presence. He asked questions, and walked me through a couple of demonstrations where one of the problems became apparent, then began to take steps to resolve both issues, while explaining to me what he was doing while he was doing it. He gave me a better understanding of the mechanics of the chair lift and gave me a couple of tips on how to possibly avoid having a similar problem in the future. He deserves an A+.
