Failure to properly estimate the damages to my home for an insurance claim.Wanting to use shingles rated 60 mph vs 130 wind zone per Florida Building Code. I have building code replacement coverage. Thats 70 mph below the wind speed for this area.Failure to seal my home from the elements - failed to board holes when tarping my roof which led to secondary water infiltration, and increased cost of claim. (Maybe that was his goal.???)Failure to answer my questions or address my concerns.I would not recommend Carbon Copy, Mark Boyer, nor Lenny Schonfeld...the owners of Carbon Copy.He, Boyer, failed to supervise the water mitigation and tree removal teams, though he invoiced their estimates or invoices. I tried to bring such inflated cost issues to his attention with no response.Compared to the other estimates, he failed to recognize obvious problems, which were included in those other peoples estimates.This is my home, my castle, my domain - my/your biggest investment - hire someone who truly cares, and is interested in doing things to F.B.C....this is a 130, minimal, wind zone. He needs to do things to Code. That replacement roof (shingles) he wanted to put on were 70 mph below wind speed for this area.Do not hire someone who doesnt do things right from the beginning...or fails to address your concerns.

Carbon Copy responded to my insurance claim. Mark Boyer was/is arrogant, not very professional, and absolutely negligent in examining, and documenting the damages to my home. They failed to include a number of obvious issues, including the painting of my home due to the damages, failed to include replacement of wet insulation which would mold, failure to include a number of items necessary to take my home from tree damages, and water infiltration.He failed to listen to my concerns as the homeowner.He failed to supervise the works being done by his subcontractors. He committed fraud and falsification of items submitted for payment by my insurance company.His tree removal company failed to haul off the tree, though they billed for it. (Eventually, I managed to get the tree company (Hyers) to do what is required, due to non-hurricane damage, though such should never have occurred to begin with.)He failed to have the holes in my roof boarded up, or the wall that was cracked sealed to keep the weather, and the elements and bugs out.Because Boyer/Carbon Copy failed to board the holes in my roof, unbeknownst to me until later, after my ceiling collapsed due to secondary water infiltration, which not only caused my ceiling to collapse, but also adding to other damages - flooring, insulation, and increased cost of claim. Mold is a secondary issue because of their negligence.This is still an open claim. I can assure you, when all is said and done, and the final tally in, I will be reporting Mark Boyer, Carbon Copy, et. al., for their negligence, and failure to protect my home, over charging, fraud, and more damages dude to their negligence.He failed to supervise the water mitigation company he brought in, and then he trumped up the charges for their works...which were incomplete and inappropriate to dry the water damages.Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere for a skilled and qualified professional to restore your home from any damages.Youve been warned about this negligent contractor.Pay attention when someone else says something like this. I have thouroghly documented this HO claim, and my allegations against Boyer and Cabon Copy Construction.

Carbon Copy Construction Inc is a wonderful company and does excellent work. They repaired water damage to my home outside and inside. The replacement walls, new stucco, and painting was beyond what I was expecting. The entire staff are the most professional workers I’ve ever had to to a job at my home. Upon completion of the work, the cleanup job was superb! The job was completed in a timely manner. I highly recommend you ask for Travis Gonzales at Carbon Copy. I have nothing negative to say, only the best. Travis and his crew made sure that I was satisfied with all aspects of the home improvement job.
