I wrote a review when I first dropped off the rug to be cleaned and now here is the after the rug had been cleaned. It was very stained from our little dog and smelled up the house pretty good. Michael said he through it through the was three times and it really came out nice. Now mind you this was a pretty good rug excellent quality, but if you run it through 3 times do not expect it to be in the same hard condition. It was softer and a bit flimsy, but I love this rug and for what I use it for it was worth the time and money. Thank you Michael

I first stopped by to visit Michaels Rug Studio (around the corner) to look for an area rug and to also inquire about rug cleaning. I was so impressed how Michael explained his rug cleaning process with all the state of the art machines. I went back a few days later and dropped off my 14 x 3 runner. I did watch the videos online on how they clean the rugs and it’s like no other place around Jackson. Most of the other rug cleaning places wash your rugs outside on the dock on the ground with a pressure washer. I know this because I asked to see where they cleaned the rugs. I will be posting my after pictures when I pick up my rug in a couple of weeks. Stay well and safe. Blessings

Overall, very unhappy with the cleaning job performed on my two 4 by 6 rugs. Potential customers should be careful when thinking of dealing with Mussallem Rugs for any cleaning of expensive area rugs. My two rugs were returned to me with deep lines ground into the pile of the rugs. How can you return rugs to a customer like that with no quality control? When I called and questioned them they stated to return the rugs and they would correct the problem. That cost me another trip across town to return the two rugs. Then another two weeks of waiting. They did deliver the rugs to our home after the so-called repair but the rugs were not 100%. All I wanted was for the rugs to be cleaned. They did not have deep grooves when dropped off and they may never be the same. Keep in mind that I paid for the cleaning and they never offered to credit my credit card for the bad job performed. This is what I want all of you to think about before dealing with this business: if you cant clean a rug without damaging it why would you want to spend $10k for a new rug? This is not the service I expected from someone that has been in the business for two family generations. Very unhappy.

Michael is Amazing to work with. I had a rug that was definitely a challenging project 9 x 12 very light colored wool area rug and I have a 7yr old and a Dog so you can imagine...Anyhow he personally picked it up from my house and when it came back it was spotless and looked brand new. I will not go anywhere else for my rug cleaning ever again! Hes the best. In fact I have him cleaning and stretching a vintage runner for me this week!

I was interested in getting a couple area rugs cleaned. I spoke to Michael himself and he explained in detail how they clean and go through a multi step process to extract the dirt and revitalize your rugs. Very professional and helpful staff that took pride in their work. I will be using them again.

I had them piece together two halves of a runner to shorten it, hoping they could match up the seam and still have a border on all four edges. The staff was friendly and even brought me flowers when they picked up my rug on my birthday; we were off to a great start. During the 7 weeks they had my rug, the only communication other than when I called a couple of times to check on progress, was when they called to ask me to measure my hallway again because they had lost the measurements. Yesterday they finally returned the rug to me. The work was just OK, which was disappointing. The pattern doesnt match at the seam and there is a slight bend where the two pieces meet. I would have expected them to match the pattern before stitching the two pieces together. But to add insult to injury, the price was nothing close to what the sheet of paper they left me when they picked the rug up said. The original figures on the copy they left me totaled around $200. But when they gave me the amount due, it was over $800! They knocked off a whopping $25 from the bill and waived the upcharge when I had to use a credit card, but I still feel totally betrayed and ripped off. If they had told me it was going to cost anything close to this amount, I would have told them not to do the work. And for this price, it should look like a professional job. I probably could have matched the pattern up as well and used a piece of carpet binding tape on the back, and it would have looked as good for almost no expense. If theyre charging this kind of money to make a repair, it should be flawless.

I did not think the repair of one of our rugs could be done. Not only did they repair it (hand woven); you cannot even tell it is repaired. Both cleaned to perfection. Just outstanding. Job well done - the best place to take your rugs!

Micheal is a 4th generation rug dealer, as knowledgeable as any shop owner I’ve met. His selection of rugs and trappings, bags, and other rug related items are second to none in the area. Very reasonable prices, customRugs woven and delivered in 90 days- where else can you get that? I bought a kilim rug fragment made into a purse for my wife, and a huge Turkish bag for myself, and I’m coming back for more ASAP. Did I mention they sell No-Muv cushion for your rugs? Not only does it keep your rugs from buckling and walking “with you” down the hallway, and protects your investment by lengthening the life of the fabric you walk on, absorbing the brunt of traffic. All around a great place to go! I’d give them 10 stars if I could!!

Great Company, friendly and professional owners. I only bought a pad for my rug but I wouldnt hesitate to purchase a rug from them if I needed one. They were very fast in setting appointment, arrived on time and cut the pad to size. It made all the difference in the world for my rug and the feel on the floor.

I took 3 Turkish rugs in to be cleaned. Smaller rugs was not cleaned. When I opened smaller rug it smelled and when vacuumed full of dark dirt and sand. Returned rug and owner refused to reclean rug. Be careful when you take more than 1 rug in. Inspect before you leave premise.

Mussallem is synonymous with quality carpets, carpet specialists, and carpet care. I was very pleased with the exceptional work Michael and his team did on one of our Persian carpets. There was a stubborn pet stain on the carpet and Mussallems treatment made it almost like new. I plan to use Mussallem in the future for all of our area rug cleaning needs.

Fraud rug cleaning. Dont go here. Picked up my rugs. Returned them tied up like they were cleaned. Still had same smell as before. Said they were going to take care of it again. No luck. I will highly recommend not using them. Find a different rug cleaner.

Did a very good job repairing a Persian rug that has been in family for over 60 years. A visiting dog tried to shred our rug, but Michael and company made our rug as good as new.
