This place never disappoints. The service is classy and respectful. The overall cleanliness of the dining room, tables and bathrooms are clean with obvious attention to detail in hygiene. As consumers in this modern time, with the increasing food prices, we should expect only the best service in the cleanest of environments and Maa Kitchen delivers. The food portions are perfectly sized with an abundance of flavor full of fresh ingredients. I have an affinity for anyone who takes their craft seriously. On a side note, avoid Masala Indian.

Food is okay - we order samosa chaat which looked like more of channa masla dumped on small samosa pieces. Chicken tika kabob was reheated which too bad because it had good taste but 3 out of 6 both were burned with reheat. Chicken karahi hardly had boti it was more thai meat fat. Lamb karahi was good but too oily. Lastly they got my drink and then we had ordered two naans to go and they forgot that as well. I liked that the owner was also serving I think his name was Parkesh (sorry for wrong spell). They had a couple of people who were in training. Overall it was a okay experience and we will go back to try something different and hopefully it will be a better experience. It’s a nice restaurant for family.Respond to the restaurant** both kadai chicken and kadai lamb are ON YOUR MENU (my spellings were off but it’s there and you do serve it . Also, I know what I ate and where we ate even the white design table paper is from your restaurant. With that you just lost business from us.

The food at Maa Kitchen is always great. The service is also excellent everytime I go. Everyone always makes sure that youre enjoying your experience. The raita is more on the watery side, but still good. This is one of the Indian restaurants that I frequently eat at.

Medium is also spicy, it will make you sweat ... 🥵😋 you cant miss a mild spicy to enjoy the Indian flavors. Our order was CHICKEN KORMA SOUTH INDIAN STYLE and LAMB PEPPER SPICY both with PARATHA PAN AND RICE. Drinks: Mango Lassi, of course😃 All very tasty! I give it 5 stars. Recommended.

The food is ABSOLUTELY delicious here. And its a great atmosphere. I also appreciated their 2-4-1 happy hour until 7pm. Our server seemed like he wasnt familiar with waiting. 😆 Nice guy. Not rude. But not very helpful with answering questions I had about the menu and he seemed unfamiliar when I ordered wine. Im not sure if their was a language barrier or something or what. Other than that, I experienced great service from the other wait staff. And the food is prepared & presented wonderfully.

Food was good, service was extremely rude to the point I didn’t feel it was necessary to leave a tip.We got there at 9:10 and had to place order by 9:30 due to kitchen closing (which was no problem), however once the clock struck 10pm the staff no longer had manners and they hastily brought containers for our food and reached across our plates while we were eating to clear the table, and turned the lights down indicating it was time to go…all without using words to explain they close at 10 and would like guests to leave right then. Still had half of my meal to eat and definitely was not get to enjoy the entire meal.Overall seems like they may treat non-Indian guests poorly from what I observed and experienced.

Doing a destination wedding is not easy. But thanks to Uma and Maa Kitchen family, we were able to do a 3 day event wedding. The food was exceptional. Everyone loved it.Its sad that google only allow 5 star rating. Or else I would have given 10 ⭐. Excellent communication. Reasonable food. I was at this restaurant recently for the memorial day weekend. They have a wide range of options from Chole bhature to Dosa. The restaurant is also very clean.We ordered Rava masala dosa, Idli,vada, Paneer wrap. Everything tasted very good. I would visit this place again when I am in Jax. The place is worth the money!

Seven of us had dinner at Maa Kitchen. Five of the seven never experienced Indian cuisine. The staff was very helpful explaining dishes and spice levels. The food was EXCELLENT! If you want very good, reasonably priced Indian, make Maa your go to!

Love the food and awesome staff, i burnt my tongue by accidentally chewing on a pepper but a sweet lady in staff brought me complementary yogurt to heal my taste buds.they have got a QR code based app to order using table number , super easy to use and pay. Just be careful about the spice level they add to food, i have had trips to the washrooms after eating their food although i am addicted to it by now. The owner is also fun to talk to , addresses everyone dining in.

The food I ordered was delicious. I had the best ever Palak Paneer. The breads are amazing. The desert I tried was really satisfying. The service was good. The portions were generous and the menu is so large! There is something for everyone. The ingredients are fresh!The Mango Lasse was good, but not as bright in flavor as I prefer. It was a bit heavy and I couldnt really taste the yogurt as I am accustomed to, but I am not an expert on the beverage. Try it. Its yummy. I will be back.

Ordered the same food we always get.. for over a year it’s been delicious. The last time we visited both of the dishes that we always ordered tasted (in the only way I can describe) like chemicals…We told one of the employees who took the meal back for a few minutes (I am guessing they added some ingredients to the same dish) and returned our food 5 minutes later. It was still bad and I was appalled that they didn’t just remake the dish. When they came back over to inquire how it tasted we let them know it was still not good but at this point we waited an hour and just had to eat something so we finished our naan and left more than the majority of the dishes.I was totally shocked when they came back with the bill and took nothing off!!! We have been loyal customers who eat here at least a few times a month.. we tell you the food we normally eat tasted terrible.. you don’t remake it.. than charge us full price for very bad Indian food. Needless to say we will never return..glad there are new Indian restaurants near by to choose.

Experience varies.The first time I went to Maa Kitchen (Saturday, July 17th), I had the most delicious restaurant food in my life. The meal was so amazing, I wanted to savor every last bite. It was hot, even after taking to-go, and was actually spicy. I had never before tasted something so delicious from a restaurant before. I thought I had found a desi safe heaven in the west where the food is actually spicy. Genuinely, I was excited to go back to have more...However, since going back two times and ordering the same exact dish with the same exact order specifications to make sure its very spicy with explicit notes asking for it to be spicy, it has turned into very opposite of my first experience.The food was mediocre. It was on paar with what I would expect from my home town Savannah GA. It tasted a bit more westernized than the first time. Not remotely spicy or hot. Just tasted like sweet tomato paste. So not very good, but also not completely unbearable.I (suspect) there are different chefs. Maybe I just ordered on the wrong ones shift or something. I would still recommend this place, but just be aware that it might end up depending on random chance, who happens to be on schedule in the kitchen, and/or if theyre bothered enough to read your order notes/spice setting on your order.Ill still visit them again the next time Im in town and maybe update this review.

We are here vacationing from Utah. Decided to have Indian food for Christmas Eve. This place is absolutely amazing! I had the chicken tikka masala and my wife had the chicken korma and a side of tandoori chicken. Highly Highly recommended!

Awesome food and great service.. We went there for dinner yesterday and got to know that they didnt have dine-in at present and they will be opening for dine-in from today. We were driving since early morning and reached late. The owners were very welcoming and made an exception and set up a table for us. Amazing food and hospitality. We ordered south indian dishes. Everything is reasonably priced and food is delicious. The other staff was actively cleaning and sanitizing the restaurant for the dine-in opening today. Will definitely come again and try out different cuisines.Good news is dine-in opens today..

Wow! I live at the beach so dont get on this side much to get Indian. First visit: WHAT A TREAT!!! BEAUTIFUL ATMOSPHERE, EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. THEY CHECKED ON ME QUITE OFTEN, THE MENU IS EXTENSIVE. Everything I had was delicious!! Try the drink Chaas (buttermilk with ginger, curry leaves and chopped cilantro), Mulligatawny Soup so many flavors bursting out at me every bite....and the goat korma, best quality Ive ever had truly!!💕💕🤗☺️ Yummmm! Can tailor your order or dishes. They seem very customer service oriented unlike many post COVID places. Highly recommend!!!!P.s. try the Carrot Halwa for dessert. It is uniquely good!

Maa Kitchen is an Authentic Indian restaurant which will feels you like you’re in India coz you’ll even see most of the customers are Indian!Place is nice, atmosphere is good and Indian music background.They’ve buffet for lunch!I have been there for dinner and I ordered chicken tikka masala, geera rice, basmati rice and garlic nan all was very delicious. It costed me $25 for all.

I had the lamb vindaloo and a stuffed paratha both were very good. I ordered the vindaloo spicey which it was but not overly hot. Place was clean but the music was a bit annoying. Enjoyed it very much.

Im not a first time customer here but have gone multiple times ! I always love the food with the buffet. My only problem is, today we went by 2:30 and few of the items were already over especially desserts and some of the items that we use to love. They do not refill it. Otherwise, service ambience n all is really good!

I love all types of food. Let me tell you this place was incredible. The owner was delightful. He took care of us like we were family. Most other customers were Indian so I feel like the food must be pretty authentic. My wife doesnt like spicy food but they had a mild version to suit her. Great Indian beers and specials. Theyre currently takeout only but they have some patio seating you can take it out to. Cannot recommend enough

Found my new favorite Indian restaurant in Jax.Located near the intersection of Phillips Hwy and Baymedows, Maa Kitchen has everything you could want when it comes to Indian cuisine. The menu here is almost too much, but there is something for everyone to enjoy.We started with the chicken wrap and golbi manchurian. They have some of the better golbi manchurian Ive had in Jax.For my entree I got the Chicken 65 Biryani. We had to get to go boxes, because there was so much food. Dont eat too much before you go, because the portions are huge.Ill be going back to try more of the menu, and maybe even the buffet.

We traveled from Savannah GA, to only dine in at this restaurant. We read the reviews and were expecting amazingly delicious food.We reached the kitchen and there was a buffet service going on, we couldnt be any happier.The staff was extremely hospitable and welcoming.We arrived at the kitchen almost 45 minutes before the buffet service usually ends so we needed to ask them for a few refills and they did with a happy face.My daughter loves Idlis(south Indian delicacy) and so we politely asked them if we can get a box to pack our leftover idlis, they not only provided us with a box but filled it with extra idlis for her. This act really surprised us coz usually you cant take away food from a buffet service.All food items were really delicious, it just felt like were eating at home. Non-vegetarian dishes were finger licking good. We had more than our appetite today.Id definitely recommend this Indian restaurant.

Im writing this after leaving the buffet a few minutes ago. This restaurant is, frankly, amazing. I think its about $12 per person on a Sunday, and it is well worth the price.Every food I tried tasted good, and some were clear winners (avocado kulfi, paneer tikka). They even had utthapam and set dosai. Highly recommend, both for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. There were also 6 choices of desserts!

Ordered Hyderabad chicken dum biryani. Worst biryani ever had. He mixed masala in the rice and made as red fried rice. No one from Hyderabad will accept the name of this biryani. Don’t ever order this again.

Really enjoyed our first visit to Maa. They have a new order-from-your-phone option at the table, which was safe and fun: you could see pictures of each dish, which is nice for those of us who aren’t as familiar with Indian dishes. The food was excellent, as was our service. Will be back.

I’be been there last Thursday and ordered 2 biryani’s and one lamb vindaloo. To be honest good was just average and they got me lamb curry instead of lamb vindaloo. While serving waiter said here is your lamb curry, we were like wait! We have ordered lamb vindaloo. After a second he said sorry it’s lamb vindaloo, LOL! It wasn’t. After asking again we got a reply that they are out of vindaloo and chef made lamb curry. How will the chef make lamb curry if we wanted vindaloo, without even being asked. Next time if you are out of something please let customers know that you are out of those and know what customer wants instead, basics!

Given pickup order via Uber eats. I almost have good experience here however I requested extra sambhar and instead of giving option how I can get same guy over counter started arguments. Service provided by this particular guy was extremely horrible. They burnt my rava dosa as well.

If youre looking for an authentic indian restaurant, look no further. The food was amazing! We had the Goat Marsala at its spiciest, my taste buds was still able to taste the Marsala, but I was sweating everywhere. Also we ordered Garlic Naan which was ok, and the lemon rice was delicious! The restaurant didnt have an Indian vibe to it, maybe because of the pandemic, but regardless it was still a nice warm welcome. I also appreciate the contactless type of ordering. Scan a QR code, order from your phone, and theyll bring the food to you, you can even pay for it through your phone. Oh, the best part, our glass of water was always full. It helped wash down the spicy Marsala. Over all, my wife and I are very satisfied with the service and the food.

This was my first visit to Maa Kitchen. I love Indian cuisine and have been to all of the local favorites over the years. I cannot believe it took me so long to find Maas! I was there for lunch and had the buffet. I think it has the largest selection with two separate serving islands; one for veggie dishes and one for non-vegetarian dishes. Also, they definitely have the most desert options with at least 6 or 7 different dishes. I guess I should wait until I have been more than once to give it 5 stars, but I really was impressed with the selection and flavors!

Best Indian restaurant in Jacksonville as far as I’m concerned. It’s a favorite of mine and always so satisfying. I’ve tried other Indian restaurants in the area and they just don’t compare.

If you go to a dine-in or take out/Ubereats, the food tastes amazing.

If you go dont get the dosas theyre bitter/sour, not crispy and the filling isnt tasty. Sambar and chutney also wasnt good

Placed an online to go order at 8:10Pm for pickup at 9:00pm for my lunch break. I Arrived at 8:58pm, Ready at 9:11pm. Purchased a drink. Upon getting my food, I was informed that their fountain drink machine was down and they weren’t willing to give me any other drink and immediately turned his attention to another customer. Also, there werent any napkins or utensils in the bag. The food was good. Got $2 stolen from me.

I went to Maa Kitchen for lunch today and what a neat experience! It was actually my very first time ever trying Indian food! I was brought by a colleague who wanted to introduce a group of us to his culture and he said this was very authentic Indian food. Im not an adventurous eater so wasnt too sure what to expect, but the food was great!We had the lunch buffet which was a great deal! You can get so much food and there were so many different varieties. What I really like is that they have a huge vegetarian selection that is cooked and kept very separate from the non-vegetarian options. For someone like me that doesnt eat much meat, its hard to find a place that cooks their vegetarian selections separately.Im still so new to Indian food that I cant tell you the names of the dishes I tried, but they were all delicious! Some things were a bit too spicy for me, but there were just as many that were perfect for a beginner :)Before coming, I read some negative reviews about the service but in my opinion the service was excellent! Our drinks were always full, empty plates were quickly taken away and there was always someone there to answer our questions.My first experience with Indian food & my first experience at Maa Kitchen was great. My colleague said Maa meant mother, so essentially this place translates to Mothers Kitchen. While I dont know the accuracy of that since I dont know the language, I really like the idea of it. I plan to be back!

Im respectively, give one star for the name, we are four friends went to the restaurant and ordered food together, I had my lamb shaag after 30 minutes and I cant even eat because its watery, after 48 minutes another friend got meals, and 3rd one did not get any food.
