My son is in the Navy so was not available to help/call, etc. and all of their family is in the Midwest. She had stopped at another location and they turned her away. She stopped at a second location and they wouldnt even take a look. She stopped at RPM and you were booked, but you took the time to take a look. There were no lights so not easy to troubleshoot, but her vehicle shook terribly. You tried to help, but did not know for sure what it was. You did not let her leave that way and took one extra look and found that the engine coil had broken in half. It was a quick fix and you had her and her baby SAFELY on their way home. Thank you really does not cover it, but THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME to help someone when they really needed it.

I have been coming here for years. The reason is simple. These guys are helpful, honest, and treat me with respect and as a valued customer. Recently they replaced a battery under warranty. I had issues afterward with my key fobs. The guys were happy to have me come back and to work to remedy the situation at no charge. Its a reason I will keep coming back, and recommend them to anyone who asks. They are just awesome!

Last Friday ( a week ago) I took my daughters vehicle to a well known auto repair shop that had replaced a starter 1 1/2 years ago that had failed and was still under warranty. The car also needed a serpentine belt and new tensioner to boot. After being at that shop for 6 days ( their mechanic had called in sick for 3 days) and they could not tell me when my car could be repaired I chose to have the vehicle towed to RPM on Wednesday afternoon. RPM installed the starter provided by the other auto repair shop and it failed also. RPM tried their hardest to get me a reimbursement from the previous shop for the original starter that was under warranty to no avail. I was then going to have to pay for the installation of the second starter that didn’t work, plus pay for yet a third starter and it’s installation. RPM was very compassionate and understanding with my frustration with the previous auto repair shop (which they ask that I not mention the name) and RPM ordered another starter(#3) which is also under warranty for 12 months/12,000 miles, replaced the serpentine belt and tensioner and adjusted the total bill to less than 1/2 the cost I was expecting without any request to do so from me. I recommend RPM Julington Creek 100% and will not ever take any of our cars to anyone else for repairs. My car was repaired by 2:00 pm on Friday. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION!!!!!

RPM Automotive is nothing less than a 5 Star automotive repair center. What makes them a 5 star center is their high level of quality technicians. I was glad to have my A/C fixed in one day but I am very disappointed that my car was returned to me with an ANT infestation and now I have to take care of that As well. First I found an ant infestation in my rental car and had to exchange my rental car then when I got mine back it was infested too as well as the area around their shop and the parking spaces. One of the guys vacuumed my car but definitely didn’t get them all.

Took my daughters 03 Avalon here. They replaced the serpentine belt and repositioned and tightened the alternator. The bill seemed a little high on labor for replacement of a belt and tightening of an alternator. When questioned, they were happy to take a look at the bill and adjust it accordingly. I had a warranty repair done here and was sent over from Carmax. Tommy accessed the problem with the car and dealt directly with the warranty company for me. The warranty wasnt going to pay for collateral damage of other parts affected from the failure. Tommy fought hard for me on my behalf to get them to pay for the damages and advised me to call them and lodge a complaint. Afterwards the company paid the majority of the bill. Tommy and the team at RPM did an outstanding job with the repairs and service! I highly recommend them for their professionalism and quality of work.

I brought in my 02 Buick Lesabre more affectionately known as the car that drives its self because of some idle issues. The staff was great. The mechanic was great. They even had to have one of their traveling specialist come in and take a look at it but, after time and through checking they determined the issue and fixed it. We have had the car back for a couple days now with no issues since. I would like to thank the guys at RPM for taking their time and not giving up like other mechanics Ive used in the past have done to me. Because of this RPM has earn my future business.

Having an auto repair facility that’s honest, trustworthy and courteous is a breath of fresh air in these days and times, especially if you’ve been watching TV showing all the rip-offs and shoddy work being performed. In contrast, RPM technicians are highly trained, not only mechanically but on the latest computerized technology. Since all autos these days are run by computers, they keep up on the latest diagnostic technology; then apply this new technology to your automobile. Doing this will most likely pinpoint your problem, saving you time and money. If you give them an opportunity I’m sure they will meet your auto repair expectations as they did mine. If not, talk to Tommy the manager, if given the chance, I’m sure he will try his best to make it right. They have 10 locations in Jacksonville, so it’s likely there’s a facility near you.

RPM just gained a customer for life. I definitely recommend this shop. When I had a crank no start issues on my van they were able to find the issue and get me back on the road quickly. Before I brought my vehicle in I previously had it at the Jacksonville Chrysler Dealership the week before for the same issue. They wanted to replace my brand new spark plugs, because they could not start it and said that it needed to be done to continue with any disgnostics. I did not agree to that because we had them recently replaced so I brought my van to the guys at RPM. and they did their job above and beyond what the dealership was willing. Turned out to be a wire harness connector that was loose.... Thanks RPM. also Tommy was very tentative to fully listening to my issues and provided awesome customer service.

RPM San Jose has been our only car repair provider for years now. The staff is excellent and the service always exceeds expectations. I cant count the number of times they have saved us money or given us great car buying advice. On the one or two occasions over 14+ years that we have had an issue, they have made it right immediately. RPM really puts the customer first!

Not really impressed. Went in with what I thought was the problem. Didnt check anything else out just changed what I had thought it was and it didnt even fix what was wrong .......

Called to get a quote, talked to Tommy, which was incredibly helpful. They gave me all the information I need on the repairs needed, and explained in a way I could understand. They made some recommendations based on my complaints, but absolutely no pressure to have everything done immediately. Outstanding service, great staff!

I come to this location for almost everything. Ive brought 3 different cards there over the past 8 years and have always had a great experience.One of my favorite things is that some of the techs have been there for several years. That shows to me its a good place to work and that they hire good, experienced people.I trust this place so much to honestly diagnose and repair problems with my car, especially issues that are complicated or difficult to diagnose. Ive come in thinking I needed a lot more work done than they actually find out I need. Many other shops would just do the work you want, whether you need it not, because they want your money. But RPM knows that theyre better off being honest and fair to bring back repeat customers.Integrity, experience, and fair prices -- this is why I keep coming back.

I tried to help a friend with his truck, but he had to get it towed. He requested the tow bring his truck to RPM and mentioned that he used them before. This week I seen my transmission was leaking and decided to give RPM a try. I have no complaints service was timely and affordable. From what I received and observed in the office, RPM cares alot about customer service.

Highly dissapointed with custmer service at RPM Automotive on San Jose Blvd in Jacksonville & will never return or recommend. Granted it is Black Friday & a busy day but I called before 9 am in the morning asking if my steering could be checked along with a general inspection this day. I was told sure come in any time - I asked, does now work - sure come in now. My car was dropped off at approximately at 9 am at which time my boyfriend was told it should take about an hour and I would receive a call to pick it up around 10:30 amNo call - I waited until 11:15 & called to find out status on my car - no answer but left message requesting status along with my phone number even though it was already given. Again, no call back .I called again approximately at 12:10 pm - at this time I was told they were very busy but my car was next & just about ready to check. I asked for an approximate time it would be done - I was told 2 hours maximum. I asked - will you call me? - Yes, I will definitely call you .It was 2:36 pm - no call back - so again I call - oh so sorry but technician just left for lunch - if you can wait an hour hell check it then. After repeatedly being told my car was going to be serviced and not without any calls or call backs I was done with this place. The worst service ever & quite honestly total disregard for customer service. I understand things get busy & sometimes unexpected issues arise but I dont believe this to be the case - poor managed services & total ignorance.

Went in to have my battery tested. They checked the battery and the alternator and didnt charge me a penny. Great guys! Ill be using them for other services for sure.

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT get your car fixed here. Called about a A/C problem and was quoted $248 for the worse case scenario or $120, if there was a leak. About an hour an half later I got a call saying it would cost $2000.00 to fix the problem. Mind you that is 10x more than what i was quoted and promised. I told the guy no and still was charged the $248 and NOTHING was solved on my car. Basically robbed me of $248, just to get my car back.

I was referred to RPG by another automotive store once my car wouldn’t start after a simple oil change. They came highly recommended by one of the workers by saying “they take really good care of their people.” That service started immediately when I called over the phone and spoke with Nick - he offered the number for a preferred tow service, but gently reminded me that most auto insurances have tow services and payments already included in the policy (good care point #1). While waiting in the lobby, observed several random acts of kindness from the staff to other customers as well (good care points #2+). Then long story short, RPG provided full evaluation and diagnostics to search for a cause of my car issue (good care points #3+); luckily everything passed, and hoping it likely has to do with a faulty fob and a security mechanism within the car. Despite the time and labor, Nick and RPG were so gracious to provide it complimentary (good care points #4+)!! They very well could have taken advantage, but instead showed sincerity and integrity, and just overall genuine nice people (something this world needs much more). Cannot speak highly enough of RPG Automotive, Nick and the team at San Jose.

I know I can always count on them to do a great job at a reasonable price.

So, this is an update to an old review i have now deleted. RPM has some new management and Im happy to report that things are great. Great work and fair prices! I personally have known Justin for about 6 years and has ALWAYS been fair and honest with me. So much so that I consider him a friend and where ever he goes, so does my business. Through Justin, I met one of his mechanics about the same time. Fabian is a great master mechanic and is the only one, besides Justin i have let work on my trucks. Also someone i call a friend now. I trust these guys with all I got and what they say is the truth. The other co-workers were very respectful. I dont know them like i know Justin and Fabian but i could see the great service they were providing to customers while i was there. Sadly, Im moving to Montana in 10 days and Im sure as hell going to miss having these two around. I will tell everyone I know here in Jax to come see you guys at RPM!! Thanks for everything!!

I hadsome issues with car A/C, they said I would need to replace my compressor.RPM estimated $1300 or more. I went elsewhere for a 2nd opinion, I just needed $300 of freon & the A/C is fine....

Nick Srnek of RPM Julington Creek is an stellar young executive in Jacksonville worthy of mentioning! Ive been a loyal customer to another automotive repair corporation for years. When two of my children were in sudden need of specialty repairs to their cars, I set out on what turned into an exhaustive and thorough search of Jacksonville and all of North Florida. Not one company could help, until I fell upon a dealership just around the corner from our home. Nick Srnek at Julington Creeks RPM Automotive solved both of our rare automotive issues and in doing reassured the safety of my children. This young man impressed me from from start to finish and in doing secured another loyal customer for RPM. RPMs, Nick Srnek is who I call and who I entrust with the vehicles that drive what my wife calls, our precious cargo.

These guys have a screw loose. Well, at least my car did after I went there, on three separate occasions.Not only are these guys very expensive, they:- Failed to tighten the lug nuts on my wheel, when I called back they stated that this was unlikely their doing because they employ a master mechanic.- Failed to tighten the nuts on a new set of shocks, I traveled to Tennessee and when I got there the shock was totally disconnected on one end.- Told me that the wheel bearings were loose and tried to charge me, until I pointed out that they had installed those same bearings just months earlier.- Knew about the loose bearings, but failed to replace the retainer cap, a cheap part, whilst charging a four figure sum for the work.Oh, and when your car is done, they park it up in their unsecured lot, where it get showered with debris.

Went in to get some tires swapped out. Asked how much and it was a bit more quoted to me by sun tire. They helped me out and matched them as they let me know rpm is not as corporate of a store as sun tire. Ask for Tommy or Nick!

Took the car in for the rear taillight. They called the next day to say that the tire had a puncture wound and was losing 10PSI a day but refused to take responsibility for the punctured tire. They claimed that it was probably caused when i drove the car to the shop. I doubt it happened then because the car was there for 3 days and didnt start to lose the tire pressure until after they told me what else needed to be fixed with the vehicle after the first day it was there. The puncture is such that you can hear it when you stand next to the tire. If it happened when i drove over, like they said, the mechanic should have heard this when he checked the brakes and that would have been one of the first things needed to be fixed...instead, they didnt mention that until the next day. I will never take my vehicle here again.

Charged 1500 more than the estimate after the car had been sitting there for a week. They never put all the screws/bolts together and after completing and then underside protective cover ended up falling down and getting ripped off. Ordered the part myself and installed rather than getting haggled around with something else broken they would find.
