Pros: Ive been here for almost two years now, and I want to give credit where credit is due. The community (in my experience) is very safe, with plenty of Marine and Naval occupants. The managers and staff at Brynn Marr do their absolute best service when it comes to taking care of their residents. They are active communicators with all residents via email, and even offer financial assistance resources for struggling members of the community. The fact that they go out of their way to empathize with members of their community is very important to me. It shows that they have a vested interested in their job and their residents. Also, should you have a package needing to be placed safely inside of your home, they will do it for you!! I would totally rent here again. Perfect location to the main gate of the base and Western. Prime location.Cons: Be weary of your neighbors.. Sometimes they can have animals that constantly bark, or even be loud and rowdy themselves. It is worth it paying a little extra in rent to get the place you want. Also, oftentimes the washing machines at their facility are broken and get overstuffed by residents.

I have lived here going on four years now. It is not fancy, but it is a safe, comfortable place to live with affordable prices. The dog park and the pet friendly attitude is my favorite part of the community. We are now under a new investment company, and so far it’s a good thing. We had 2 major issues in the past, but putting those aside we’re happy on a day to day basis. My last few maintenance issues have been resolved quickly and correctly.

My experience at Brynn Marr Village is by far my worst experience with apartment living. From day one when I moved in there were bugs in my apartment. That really should have been a sign. The only reason I consider giving this place 2 stars was because the girl who moved me in was so nice, but once she left that was it. Even with multiple treatments they were unable to get rid of the bugs but did not want to bomb the place either. So embarrassing! Then my move out date was during the big hurricane we had in North Carolina. I had to extend my stay because the roads were closed and the day of my move out I was rudely asked to vacate immediately in the morning even though the manager could clearly see I was moving everything as fast as I could. However, the worst part was when I found out 4 months later that I was taken to collections for a fee after the apartment had already taken my deposit. The worst part was I didn’t not receive a call or a letter before they decided to send me to collection. Even though they had my phone number and new address. The poorest customer service. I also believe the manger Sue, is a partial owner so don’t even worry about calling corporate to complain, nothing will be done.

Absolutely HORRIBLE.!!! There where bugs in almost ever apartment. They never fixed anything. Always charged extra fees you don’t know about. Moved out the first week of February and payed THE WHOLE MONTH and now they want to charge extra fees for the month or March.

You get what you pay for is the best way to describe this property. The pool didn’t open until the very end of august even though they had the capabilities to open earlier they just didn’t plan accordingly and now you can only use it when the office is open. The amount of time it takes for maintenance to respond to a work order is absurd, the lack of communication is nonexistent. Repairs are STILL being made 2 years after hurricane Florence. Communication since covid has been about paying early, more concerned about getting their rent money than giving the paying residents what they’re paying for. Be ready to live around a bunch of obnoxious neighbors and the cops making frequent visits.

Not too bad, but also not the best.We enjoyed the peace and quiet of living in these townhomes, and the maintenance workers were amazing!Great neighbors, we were really happy with the way our home came together. The only major issue (and it was a pretty bad issue), was the horrible amount of roaches and how every single attempt at getting rid of them failed. I very much feel like it was never a problem that had to do with us, as it was this way since the very first day we moved in.Pest control helped a bit, but not much.Super upsetting that the roach issue remained throughout our year of living here.It drove me a bit crazy.Other than that we loved it!

This place was awesome! Friendly and professional staff who were always available to answer questions and resolve issues. 10/10 would recommend without reservation to a friend looking for cheap, quality living accommodations.Although the property is older there were no issues with the property at all, age or otherwise. On average my commute to base was about 8 minutes. Can’t be beat!

I lived here a few years ago. One night, I was pregnant and cranky, and my husband was sleeping, the people above us were partying and jumping around above our room. So the next day I ended up calling and saying how it was a weekday and we had no sleep because we heard them screaming and jumping and blasting their tv. The office told us to go and tell the people above us about it..it happened again one night, so I pounded on the ceiling with a shoe and they came down pounding on my door and they tried getting into the back door and were screaming at us. I definitely wouldn’t recommend living their because their staff won’t help you out with things like that. Everything is so old. We bought our washer and dryers and there was build up all in the wall so we had to call someone else (other than their staff) about it because their maintenance took forever. They’re not friendly. At first they will act super nice to you but once you move in they’re rude. We ended up applying for another place and I didn’t have a printer so I asked if the office could print an application out for us and she said “you’re really going to print out an application for somewhere else here?” then gave me an annoyed look. There are better places around that area that you could go to. Their rent is pretty expensive for such a cheap place.

Overall a very nice place to live at. Have lived here going on two years now with my fiance. The office and maintenance staff are very polite and respond to any issues we may have in a timely manner. The neighbors we have are very polite and tend to keep to themselves. We all tend to get along and have no problems.I will say a lot of people complain about their phone calls not being answered but people do need to understand that they have a lot of residents and other people calling all the time non stop so not every phone call will be answered. One thing that they have done to drastically improve the quality of living here is issue parking passes. It use to be so that finding a parking spot was like winning the lottery, but with the parking passes in place that has drastically helped out.Would love to give a shout out to Sue the office manager and James the maintenance supervisor and there assistants Ivy in the leasing office and Mike in maintenance for helping us with any and every issue even the insignificant things to most people they deal with in a very timely manner. We plan to stay for a little while longer and with their fair pricing we definitely recommend this place to many friends.

I wouldnt recommend these apartments. My apartment always need maintenance, a light switch broke when turning on the light, the outlets work when they want, the office hardly picks up the phone when you call during normal business hours. They did build a nice dog park (but its small). Dont get me started on the washers and dryers. If you get the town home, be aware of paper walls!

Only giving one star because I have to.The leasing office people mess around and are only nice when they want to. If you have a problem don’t count on it getting fixed because they never help out. Also supposedly our “Maintenance” is 24/7 and that’s a lie... only reason people pick this place is because of the “low” cost of rent!

As the manager of Brynn Marr we want each of you who have been gracious enough to take time to complete a review to know that we have read each of them and will use them for training purposes. We would like to address a few of the issues mentioned.1st answering the phone-as a rule to be courteous to the guest who we are currently waiting on we will not answer the phone or put the 1st caller on hold. We do check the messages left on our answering machine and return the call as quickly as possible. As humans we may miss a call from time to time. We find it rude to make the 1st person wait while we speak with the 2nd guest. Each person is important to us and deserve our attention.2nd-we did see that the previous pest control providers were not providing the best service so we have changed providers with greater success. Many residents have commented on the improvement in the last few months.3rd-our maintenance staff have improved their response time and we have received may 5 star ratings from our guests. In fact in 2016 we won the most improved satisfaction for our company.Again we strive to reach 5 stars and take into account the many reviews good and bad received to help us improve our service. All feed back is greatly appreciated.

The worst experience! there nothing I can explained but worst staff specially Sue ,she will make you feel that there mistake you pay for it...I, only ask to return my money back that 224 i work hard for that and here you go giving us excuses more than 2 month of waiting for that money to return and this all you gonna say I am not nice that we suppose not to get our money and you being so nice???hopefull it will never happen to you and see how it feel?and let me know. So for being nice person what you see is not nice just have an excuse to hold my money and enjoy the game and see if we suffer for it?for being nice it doesnt mean you can take advantage of people money when you dont even do an effort out of it. I am stating this for people to be aware of! Hopefully it wont happen to you..

I got an apartment here back in May. I was severely pregnant, my husband was due home from deployment and I had 5 days down here to find somewhere. BIG mistake. Absolutely infested with cockroaches and spiders. A week after my son was born there was a flea on his head (we didnt have our dog yet). There have been 3 managers since I signed my lease 7 months ago! The office people are pretty nice, maintenance guys are awesome, but you have to hound them to get anything done. There isnt assigned parking so peoples guests will park wherever they want even though it is specifically stated in the lease they have to park elsewhere. People dont clean up their dogs poop (even though Brynn Marr provides bags!) and there are feral cats everywhere. Peoples houses are constantly being broken into but management doesnt do anything about it. No one is supposed to solicit but I still get people knocking on my door to speak to me about religion and cleaning products. AT DINNER TIME. When I signed my lease, I was told they would take care of cleaning the carpets, which they dont, you have to pay $45 when you move out to have them cleaned. You have to give a 60 day notice, which they remind you about 59 days before your lease is up. They tell you water & sewer & garbage are included in rent, but really theres a $58 admin fee THEN water, sewage and trash pick up...how they get away with charging us for curbside pick up when we have a dumpster I have no idea. If you are 2 days late with PART of your rent (happened twice, the first month because I didnt know we received a BILL every month, then a second time because of THEIR error) you receive a red letter taped on your door telling you that you have no longer then 3 days to pay or you will be evicted. DO NOT move here. Ive had random people sitting on my patio furniture, my GPS stolen and had to yell at some guy for smashing glass bottles in the parking lot where kids play.

These apartments are absolutely terrible. My husband and I moved in because ag the time it was cheap And being newly weds it was affordable. However... The day we moved in there was a piece of wood sticking out of the kitchen floor so maintence came in pulled it out and put duck tape over it. Seriously... Then we recently moved out and got billed for the hole in the floor after I told the new manager multiple times that the maintenance guy did that she said she would investigate it and get back to me. Its been 3 months and nobody has gotten back to me at all. Nobody answers the phones in the office. They are roach infested apartments and they pretty much let everybody live there. Just dont waste your money here the only good thing is the dog park. I wish there was a way to rate 0 stars

Hahaha! This place is an absolute joke! From the members located in the leasing office, to the ghetto washers and dryers located in the “laundry room”, from the threats we as the RESIDENTS receive from management on a bi-weekly bases, about various violations they think we have violated which in reality if you look at the issues, you would summarize, that the issue the residents are being cited for are mostly management issues. My question is, is the OnSITE manager being cited as well along with the residents for these alleged violations .... Omg the list goes on! The establishment runs its business very similar to the military, one resident messes up, we all pay literally! These folks do not take into account the life, and financial strain we face on a day to day basis, all they do is add bills on top of bills fees on top of fees and the list goes on! This place is not a place to raise a family! If you’re a newly married marine looking for a place for you and yours this is not it! Run!, Run fast! Sure it’s cheap at first, but then you renew your least and the price of your rent jumps through the roof! Then you have these ratchet kids playing in the court yard, when there is a perfectly nice play area next to the dog park! The houses are full of bugs! They refuse to fix anything wrong with your unit! You will get the “unfortunately your unit is old, so we can’t really do anything about that”..... really. I pay good money to live in this slum, the least you could do is fix the dang dishwasher, or garage disposal! My strong recommendation is to find a rental property that is for their residences, that listen to the actual concerns, and do something about the logical ones. Run, run fast Brynn Marr Village apartments is not for you.Bet you dollars to donuts the manager will reply with her, same generic copy and pasted apology and suggest that I give her a call.I’ll be calling someone to do something about this place, and it’s jacked up management.Sincerely,Truth writer.

I have been living here since March and for its price and location its really not bad. Just dont expect them to ever answer calls, out of 29 phone calls theyve only ever picked up about 4. I took over someones lease and thought all the issues was because of the previous guy. However even this morning Ive called several times because of an issue that could become an even greater issue. On another note the walls are thin so you hear everything, I mean everything. I just heard my neighbor make a bowl of cereal, literally. However the place is cheap and in a good location, and people here are rather friendly. I understand my calls wont always get answered however if I leave a message Id love to actually get a call back. That way Im not always having to blow up the office phone constantly, which seems to be the only way Ill ever get an answer. Conclusion: (tl;dr)Apartment price is greatApartment location is fantasticApartment repair is okay, cant expect everything to be perfect or do much about thin walls (just thought it would be good to state)Staff friendliness is wonderfulThe only negative impact is the phone hardly ever being answered. (Know theres only like two people who work those phones, not every call will be answered)

Its ashame I have to write this. I was supposed to move in October 2017. Placed my deposit and all. As I came back to the neighborhood to check it out different times throughout the day , I realized its not somewhere I want to live . The smell of cigarettes, marijuana , was strong enough , then having beer bottles all through out the grass and rude people didn’t help. I told the 2 ladys at the management office I didnt want to move in and they werent happy about it but had no choice as I didnt really care . It is now September 2018, and I have written those 2 ladies every few weeks for the past year about receiving my refund check & I still have NOT received it .

We lived here in a 1 bedroom for 2 years, we would of moved after the first year but my husband was deploying and I didnt want to move by myself (I didnt know that apparently theres people on base who will help you move, fyi). The rent was outrageous. We paid 760 as rent but then water and trash is extra. And the washer and dryer BUILDING charges out the ass for use, when we left in may it was $1.50 per tiny washer, and another $1.50 per dryer. We have a house now and pay half as much here in FLORIDA as we did there for water! Out-freaking-rageous. When we moved out they kept half our deposit for black marks on the wall where they repaint with cheap paint again and again and again, so if you touch the wall it leaves a mark! Oh and $200 deposit per pet and for 2 pets an extra $65 a month!! We rent a house here and paid $150 deposit for BOTH pets (not fn 400). And no monthly fee for them!Brynn Marr is a joke! Please please please dont do it!

Like most people in the area my husband is in the military, we had to move from hawaii, i was 6 months pregnant at the time and the waiting list for base housing was ridiculous so we needed to find a place before coming to the state. Of course we checked out the website and it looked decent so we went ahead and got the townhome unit. Now we are stuck in this horrible place for 12 months with a brand new baby :(first of all the lady lied to us, she said that garage and water would included in out monthly rent and a couple of months later they start charging us for the water separate out of nowhere!!, the floors make all kinds of noises everything is old and with bugs EVERYWHERE we are clean people and somehow we always find GIANT roaches crawling on the walls! there is never ever a parking spot near our home because, there is not assign parking spots, on the weekend there is a million people that clearly dont live in the complex, its ridiculous making the pool discounting, even though they have a 24-7 maintenance worker working, they are always rude and take forever to fix the problem if you are smart you will pay attention to the reviews here and not get any of their apartments, you will regret it

We cant even park infront of our townhome because our neighbor has 4 vehicles and constanly has friends over. When we said something to the landlord, she basically said it wasnt her problem since there isnt assigned spots. The landlord acts nice and says she will do all she can to help, but she wont. She doesnt care. They charge so much for water its unbelievable. And we find HUGE bugs everywhere. Its so disgusting. People are constantly partying and blasting music. Our neighbors are all very rude. Even when I try to talk to them, they are rude and nasty people. Our car was broken into last night and everything in it stolen. DONT MOVE HERE! You will regret it. I will not be returning to Brynn Marr Village once my lease up and i would high recommened that anyone interested in moving in take a very close look at the apt before signing any paper work; key areas to look for are the floor boards which may be extemly chipped and detouring. Be sure to ask about the possible aspestos and lead paint because you can be sure it wont be mentioned until you are ready to move in! Also inspect the wash room if you intend on using it, since i have lived here only half of the eight washers work and are usually occupied. You will also need to get quarters else where since there is no quarter machine readily available. If you are looking into the townhouses because they have a backyard be expected that the view out your back slider will be gazing into the adjacent townhouses slider doors.A few last things to expect are the occasional monster cockroaches, get rid of your grill because you can not use or store it here, and your entire apt has probably been gone over in white paint.... stove top, shower, cabinets...they may not have even been clean before painted (how do i know this? There are hairs embedded in the paint. )
