While on vacation the air conditioning in our car stopped working. I made an appointment at 8am at this location for the next day. When I arrived, the worker in the front, older man wearing a white shirt said, “maybe we can work on it, maybe not.” He then proceeded to tell me how none of the mechanics were there and that the boss had not even shown up. I should have left at that point but thought maybe he was frustrated and let it go.Workers arrived and they began working on my car. One of them was smoking while working and standing inside the open car door which allowed smoke to drift into the car. Extremely rude. I said something and another worker (super nice, named Chris) went out and told the worker about my concerns.Fast forward to 11:30am…..Freon had been added to the vehicle and they were searching for an electrical issue in the harness. Except at the time, I didn’t know that because I was never updated on the progress being made or what was found other than the Freon. While watching, I saw the guy that was supposed to be working on my car standing off to the side smoking and talking with another person. I finally asked them to stop and I would take my car elsewhere.Rewind…while waiting for the car, the man in the front area (not Chris!) was loudly complaining about another customer who was supposedly being demanding about his service. He spoke to the other customer on the phone and was very rude. He also used profanity while discussing this customer with another worker. All this while me and another customer were standing in the lobby. Very unprofessional. If I ever find myself back in the Jax Beach area needing car repairs I will definitely NOT return to this shop.

Terry and crew always go above and beyond. We took my college daughters 4runner there and tight on time. She needed 4 new tires -They where able to find them and she didn’t miss class. 😁Thank you guys!!!

I am from out of town and got a flat tire nearby this Meineke location. My car does not have a spare and I was concerned about my car not being ready in time to return home. When we arrived to our hotel in Jacksonville, we noticed a strong burning smell and heat radiating from the left front tire. We managed to get to Meineke before they closed on Friday. We spoke with and had an excellent experience with Terry who correctly diagnosed the problem and said that he would be able to work us in the next day (Saturday) which we very much appreciated. We were given an cost estimate of the work for the left side, as well as the right in case that side was also damaged (despite not yielding any symptoms) or was on its way out. Saturday rolls around and we hear nothing. I eventually called them around 1:15 to get an update only to find out that the repairs had been completed and both sides were worked on. Problem is nobody ever called me to inform me of what they were seeing or if doing the right was even necessary. The work was just done and we were now left with a large, partially unnecessary (potentially) bill. Unfortunately, that work yielded a residual spongy brake pedal and I was told the cylinder needed to be replaced. I told them to go ahead and do it around 1:30. I call back at 4:15 (they close at 5) due to not getting any updates and was told that the car would not be done that day. As theyre closed on Sunday, that would mean wed be stranded 1.5 - 2 additional days in Jacksonville. Terry (who unfortunately was not working that day or I feel we would not have had these issues) was aware that we were needing to leave the area on Sunday when we spoke with him Friday afternoon. So I unfortunately had to make a bit of a fuss over the phone and they got the work done by 5:00pm. However, if the car could be completed in that 45 minute time span, why was it an issue where it wasnt going to be done on time in the first place? Thats the biggest issue I have here. If I had not called to check up on things, we would have walked up at closing time to be faced with us being unnecessarily stranded for two days. Ive never had this poor of communication at any mechanic previously. You dont work on a car without updating and checking with the owner first as to how he/she wants to proceed after you have a diagnosis. And if its looking like you might not finish in time, you update them and let them know what the deal is. Simple courtesy. Jasmin was understanding and nice enough to get us a 7% discount for the communication issues when we picked up the car, but it was still a very frustrating experience.

Terry is the man! . he dedicated all his time to make sure my brakes where %100 safe on the road while i was at the beach continuing my vacation with my Family. He stays in contact and will inform you about any update. I had a great experience , no complaints at all. These guys will not let you down. On top of that , you get rewarded with points for a free service in the future .

Very good customer experience. Had a exhaust problem early Saturday morning called Meineke and they took me right in. Fixed my exhaust and Im back on the road. Good staff and highly trained. I will be using them again for other car needs as well.

I own a car dealership out of town my wife was in town to pick up a vehicle. The vehicle was having issues and Terry and his staff were very welcoming to make her feel right at home. While they also worked on my vehicle at a very fair price. I am a dealer and very aware what fair prices are and they were very fair. I would like to thank them very much for all their help and recommend them to all.

Terry was absolutely professional in handling my request! I had a Starter installed, head light bulb installed, and AC recharged. I appreciated the recommended addition services that my vehicle may need in the future!

Dropped my truck off at 9:30 and shared that I would need it by 3:30 to pick up my son from school. If there were any issues let me know. He said no problem. Pulled in at 3pm. My truck had just been put on the lift. I asked if he could take it down if they hadn’t started. He said oil had been drained and they just needed to change it out. Said they couldn’t get the oil filter off and I would need to come back. Along with not completing the other work, it took an hour and a half to refill 6 qts of oil. Will not be going back.24 point inspection and new oil filter were not completed either.

Had an 8am oil change appointment. Was told it would take 90 minutes. At 11am I went to check on things and my car was still in the parking lot untouched. In all, it took 4 hours to change my oil. I will never go there again.

I love this shop! Terry and his staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I have used this Meineke dealership for years with multiple cars of various ages and condition. My experience has always been terrific and there is very little they can’t do, and if they believed it was beyond their expertise, they would tell you. Try them: you won’t be disappointed with the service and value!

The work done on my Jeep wrangler was of excellent quality and done for a reasonable price. The owner and employees were very personable and engaged in helping me with my problems. Will highly recommend them to friends and family. Will return if I need any future work done on my vehicles.

Terry was awsome… had a spark plug and coil issue… he kept me apprised of the repairs… they needed to do extra work after the spark plug change did not work, so appreciate they tested the fix before retiring the vehicle

Very poor service and customer service.Took our vehicle in for oil change and tire rotation. Mechanic tried to convince me that my lug nuts were bad and refused to perform the tire change altogether unless we purchased new tires and lugs.Secondly the mechanic showed me a nail in the tire and said that it had punctures the sidewall and that we couldn’t patch it and would need to replace tire. So he quotes me $850 and I laugh and head home. Took the nail out of tire myself and it hadn’t even punctured the thread to create a slow leak.I would not recommend this shop to anyone in the area. Looks like I’m heading back to the Jiffy Lube.

Came into Mieneke and Terry & team took good care of me. They fixed my issue and have me up and running. I highly recommend this place! I’ve been to multiple shops and this will be where I take my vehicles to be serviced.

Most often when I go there Jasmine and/or Terry are in the front. They are both really helpful and very professional. I also had my car washed there by Dave. He did an amazing job. if you need your car cleaned have him show you pictures cuz my seats were all mildewed. They also fixed my van. I believe that they are fair and doing everything for a reasonable price.

Been to Meineke on 3rd street several times now and they have been great every time. Once they even drove to my house to jump my car when I needed a new battery!

Drop my car off at 11 o’clock didn’t get it back till 530 they told me it was gonna take two hours I gave them a courtesy three hours then I get there and it still takes another 2 1/2 hours and they fix the part on my car that they didn’t call and get consent first took my build up an extra 200 bucks five hours would’ve been fine if that’s what they told me from the start

Although this was a complicated older European ac repair, Terry found a way to get the parts and complete the repair and stay within our budget with a warranty and no interest financing via the Meineke credit card plan. Terry and the guys did a fantastic job yesterday. The new part that I needed was expensive, so they waived the diagnostic fee and took about half off the labor price. It was smooth, easy, and I had my car back same-day on a Saturday! Barring anything weird happening over the next few days, I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Easy to find, right on the road with clear sign. Friendly staff and waiting room is stocked with water and a pot of coffee. Had transmission fluid flushed and replaced, as well as synthetic oil changed, total was $430. Downsides were that it took a very long time, my appointment was at 12:30, I didnt get out of there until 4:30, and that they recommended I change my spark plugs based on milage, not on their actual wear. However, mechanics know what theyre doing and the place is very clean.

Horrible oil change for a simple spill&fill The Technician that worked on it for and hour and 20 minutes... and I was the only customer there!! Then the young man stripped the oil drain plug??? Dont take your automobile there!! Youve been warned!!😀

Good but things took longer than expected

Good service, least wait time compare to other shops, honest and good price. It was for my driver sides window that didnt roll up/down. Before visiting Meineke, went to Tire Kingdom and paid $120 to have the problem check, then Tire Kingdom technician next morning told me that it can be either the regulator or motor, he was not sure which one, the price for fixing the regulator first is $400 and if the problem is not the regulator then they would fix the motor and of course it will cost more. By the time I heard about the price, I got so worried and took my car back immediately. I found Meineke with good reviews, and called. Jasmine was very friendly even it was 4pm she put my appointment in right away (other shops I called, only available next day). Teri arranged onw technician to check my door (which costed me 0 dollar) and told me right away that it was the regulator, and cost to fix is just $180 including labor. I was so relief to hear an honest service suggestion, and by 7pm I got my car back. I would recommend Meineke, and they have a pretty nice waiting room.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!I took my car in for a check engine light they contacted me with their findings as an crank shaft sensor they replaced and a service employee contacted me saying it was not the issue and they would need further testing ... with time running out I went to Meineke and spoke to the owner Terry who was for some reason snickering about the situation saying the car was fine and there were no problems... I reiterated what his tech had told me the night before and he said that was incorrect. I left with my car having the same issue it came in with and out $265 and fixed NOTHINGDO THE RIGHT THING AND REFUND MY MONEY IN FULLThis Meineke owner should be investigated by the BBB for extremely dishonest business practices

Everyone here was very friendly and professional. I needed my tire repaired and they were able to replace it within 45 minutes. That included going to another vendor picking up the tire, replacing it and sending me on my way. I am a very happy customer.

I have a boat trailer and requested called ahead and asked for a prive to replace the rear tires. I was quoted $18 dollars per tire by Terry. When I showed up Terry changed the price to $80. This is after I picked up my boat from storage and drove to his facility. Not happy the price more than doubled just for changing 2 tires. I ended up going to Tire Kingdom down the street and they changed the tires for $10 a piece.

Took my car there for an oil change (had to go back 4 times) - because they did it incorrectly, then didnt put the oil cap back on correctly, then the check engine light came on and they just reset it instead of finding out what the problem was. Then, when I asked for a refund, he said why would I give you a refund, you have the oilAre you kidding me? Why cant places like this just be ethical and honest and do it right the first time instead of always trying to screw people out of money?

Super nice staff, BUT, after my oil change, I had to take my car back in the next day because oil leaked on my drive way and in my garage. Not sure what they did. Here I am a week later, as of today, still wiping up oil out of my garage leaking from my car. Taking it to the dealership tomorrow to have it checked out.

This past Saturday (Sep 21st) the friendly staff was aligning my vehicle and a rusty bolt broke off. They not only fixed the issue the owner was not going to charge me any labor to do so. I insisted that I pay something for the labor as it took them a good bit of time to secure the part and remove broken bolt. This type of service and dedication to outstanding customer service is rare in the tie care industry. They have won my business and my respect.

They diagnosed my car and impressively texted and emailed the inspection report as I sat in the waiting room. Included in the report is short videos explaining the importance of the repair and maintenance. I have never received that from any other auto repair shop! The Owner Terry and Mechanic Chris kept me informed during the repair as well. I learned things about my car that I never knew as other shops dont explain the details to you. Not a great experience here today, took 4+hrs to get tires. Not 1 time did the Owner Terry, who was helping us, tell us how long it would take. Check to see if we wanted to wait or drop it off. His customer service needs to improve. He had 2 other customers come in and out before us and not once did he check on us or offer a drink. I have been here before for oil change and had good service. I will not give the place a 3rd time. This one really took the cake for me.The sticker in window says:Taking care of your car shouldnt take over your life.You sir took over 4+hrs of my life.

Work took longer than expected but as long as the work was done right I could handle the time.

They couldnt help me for what I needed fixed (my check engine light ended up being a transmission problem) but they were super kind and professional and helped me find a decent shop nearby since I was from out of town!

Excellent Service! I normally take my cadillac to the dealership for maintenance but always pay the price for it too. I had a brake line leak and had my car towed to Meineke. I made this decision after looking online at the reviews. I spoke to Sam on the phone and when I arrived Terry helped me while my car was getting off the tow truck. I left it with them and got a call from Terry telling me the estimate of repairs. I felt the repair was very reasonable! Terry mentioned that I needed rear brakes . I knew this already because I just got front brakes not to long ago. Terry gave me the estimate on rotors and pads etc. I have to say the estimate for that too was very good, Needless to say I had the work done. My wife and I have a place now to take our cars . This is so much closer than Southside blvd and since we live at the beach we like to support our local businesses. They have a bonus program that really is awesome, Ive already accumulated enough points with this visit for a FREE air filter or wiper blades and other awesome stuff. I have had my car serviced here a few times before. I needed my hood latch replaced so I had them do the job. I was charged 1.4 hours for labor when the job only took 30 minutes. When I addressed this with the owner himself he basically dismissed me and said there was nothing he could do about it and only offered me a $25 off online coupon.
