The store typically has what you are needing in a pinch, and the customer service is good. But the prices definitely could be reduced.. especially when comparing online new things from a vendor to the price in store.In other words, the people are nice, but they can and will nicely tax the ..heavens.. out of your wallet as well. Choose wisely what you buy from here and buy online.

I’ve been there once and it was a cute little store but when my sister and I walked in, we looked at the softboxes. An older gentlemen came over and offered us help. I asked if they had any small portable softboxes and his response was quite rash as if he was insulted that I didn’t know much about softboxes or lighting accessories.It was so uncomfortable that my sister walked away because it seemed like I was getting scolded for my ignorance. After an awkward silence, he said to let him know if we had anymore questions. I was a bit taken back but then he stood there for a long minute as I was looking around, which had me on edge. It was like he was suspicious that I might steal something. Luckily, a customer needed assistance so he finally walked away.He came back a moment later as we had begun looking at the ring lights. He was, at least, gentler this time but then stood again for watching us. We both have bad social anxiety and that was simply unpleasant. It’s clear he’s quite knowledgeable and passionate about photography but for hobbyists, his assistance was very intimidating and made it an uneasy visit for us.

The experience here was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The sale new and used equipment as well as developing services.

Their picture restoration of my mom, and my brother from when we were kids turned out GREAT! Love it!

If you need anything to do with pictures or photography, GO. TO. DEVILLE. The staff is extremely helpful, courteous, and patient with any questions you may have. And of course, family owned and operated!!! They are the best!! We cannot thank them enough for help with my new camera!!!!

Upon entering the store the greeting was a little dry, after inquiring about the business I was there for I was told that they could see about revising the picture that I wanted cleaned up and reprinted but I would have to pay for it and they didnt know if it would come out right but I still had to pay for it whether it came out right or not, that is what I derived from our conversation but was not said more less implied so I was not very comfortable with my visit in Deville Camera Store that day, and my thing is they have been in business so long its sad that they still havent mastered customer service being one of the icons in the Jackson metro area here in Mississippi.thank you

Great place fixes me right up

Wonderful people here! They know everything that needs to be known about cameras and photography equipment. They are very helpful and informative, even when Im not spending a dime there. Although, photographers can also get carried away there and spend their monthly income in seconds because the quality of equipment and cameras are all above par.

Deville is the only place in town that I will use for prints. It’s also the only place in town that has professional level gear and advice. Mark has been extremely helpful to me as I got started with photography.

I have purchased at DeVille Camera many times over the years. You might find a lower price on an item elsewhere, but you wont get back-up service from those other guys. I would rather spend $50.00 more at DeVille than risk purchase from other vendors. I can always get technical support with a phone call and I live 100 miles away. Highly recommend this store.

Really nice camera store. It’s a privately owned company so going to purchase certain things such as film will be a lot higher than buying online, but it’s always great supporting small business. They still develop black and white film here, also!

I love Deville Camera & Video! The staff are great! Im a beginning photographer, & I dont usually know exactly what I need. Sometimes I think I know what I need, but Im wrong. They give me lots of advice & they know exactly what I need. They dont recommend the high-priced equipment just so they can make extra money. Many times, I have asked about some expensive equipment, & they tell me what I need, & their recommendations often cost much less than the things I thought I needed. They know exactly what works well with my camera & what would be the best equipment for my individual projects. Their prices are almost always lower than any of the online prices for the exact same brand-name equipment. They are happy to spend all the time I need, helping me get everything just right. I just cant say enough about how great they are. They only carry the best brands of professional-quality equipment, so I always know Im getting the best! I wish I could give them 10 stars! They are really great, & I highly recommend them.

The folks that work in this are awesome. They understand my needs as wildlife photographer and know just how easy it is to destroy one ....on accident of course. My only regret is they dont have a layaway program so my lovely wife can buy me more. However overall this place is awesome.

I know there are tons of places online to buy and its hard to beat a lot of the pricing online as well, but Deville makes it worth shopping from them. I bought a used camera from them and it was in perfect condition. Being a YouTuber its important to me to have a place like Deville I can trust. I had an issue with a battery charger and they replaced it for free. Great place for camera equipment.

Wow. Is what I say about my favorite camera shop, the only one I go to if I have any problems that I think I have about my camera. David, who I always work with or any of the guys know what they are doing and always, always help me when I need it; and, they let me in on a little secret about my camera that I didnt know which was helpful again. I will definitely be back there.

This is a great store with cool folks. They have a pretty good selection - a little bit of everything.Only place I know of in the area that still sells film and accessories for older cameras. They usually stock hp5, portra, Fuji, Delta 100, sfx, and xp2.The only place Ive ever seen carry medium format film in the state.They also develop c41 in house and sell a decent selection of darkroom chemicals. If you cant tell Im mostly interested in film so I may be a little biased.Honestly with this place the wonders never cease.
