Everyone was friendly and welcoming, they make you feel special. My stylist was Sara, I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she did an excellent job of cutting and styling my hair. I have curly hair and not every stylist does a great job with curly hair. But she did. There also is a great coffee shop nearby to wait for your appointment.

I always have a great experience at FiveOneSeven. The staff are friendly and helpful. I love that I go home knowing how to do my hair so it can look as amazing in the weeks following as it does when I walk out. My color, cut and style always get so many compliments. Also, the O2 facial is my new obsession. Amazing

My girlfriend and I had a spa day over the past weekend!Pedicure, Manicure and a full body stress relief massage and I have to say I am incredibly pleased with the entire day!!Not only were they super professional, enjoyable to talk with and very gentle but the cleanliness of everything was PERFECT! Katie was amazing! This was my first time there. I couldn’t get into the place that I usually go when I needed to so I decided to check out FiveOneSeven. Glad that I did! I will definitely go back! I looked for reviews prior to going and could not find any on Brazilian waxes. I’m here to tell you Katie is the best! I’ve had them in the past at another place, but not like that. She takes her time, talks to you through everything, and makes you completely comfortable! Not to mention the AMAZING results. Worth every cent! Makes living in a bikini for a week doable 😆

Not only has FiveOneSeven Salon/Spa has worked hard to keep a clean environment to keep all of their guests comfortable during COVID, but the level of service is always top notch. All of the staff is highly educated in their field and continue their education to stay on top of new techniques and trends. Teresa is an expert in curly hair and blondes (I am both). Courtney does my lash extensions and has options for the finished look that she will discuss with the guest so they are always walking out looking their best!

The morning of the 16th I showed up for my hair appointment with (if memory serves me right) a stylist named Danielle. I was about 5 minutes late because the roads were extremely icy and in bad condition. However, I show up met Danielle and showed her a picture from Pinterest that I wanted my hair to be inspired by. She said she could do it. During the appointment she dropped her curler on my shoulder and it almost burned my neck. She asked me if I wanted a braid in my hair and I told her no I did not. She continued to make conversation with me during the appointment and from the front my hair looked like what I was interested in, but the back was a disaster. She disregarded my request of having no braid and put one down the center of my head. Which to me didnt make that much sense. My hair was no where near what I had requested and I was on a time crunch so I couldnt even ask her to fix it. She had already run over my time limit that I had being there. My photoshoot was to be at 10am but she was doing my hair until 10:07 so it got pushed back. I honestly had no idea what to do in this situation. When I went to leave she hovered at the dest and stared me straight in the face when I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I did leave a tip but only because I felt pressured into it by her, and after I said yes and left one she walked away. When I asked my family if I was overreacting to the situation they told me it looked like my 7 year old niece did my hair. I was on my way to a photoshoot and couldnt leave my hair in the condition it was in because it looked like a child did my hair. So I took it down and redid my hair to a presentable look that I knew wouldnt upset me when looking back on the photos that I was to take that day. I am deeply upset that I paid over $70 for a hairstyle that looked so poorly and I am so upset that for those photos I took my hair doesnt look the way I dreamed it to be. The pictures are the one I found on pinterest and then me in my car.

Great experience! Definitely followed CDC requirements are more. Felt very safe and sanitary being back at a salon. Bummer about not blow drying or styling but definitely understand the logic.

I do not even know where to begin... I had an appointment with another salon to fix my HORRIBLY DONE color job that they did in March. I was on my way to that appointment and they texted me to cancel. I was devastated because my birthday was the next day. I found Five One Seven salon and called to see if there was any chance they could get me in that day. They had an opening!! It was such a blessing. I went in and met Alisha and she was truly a gem. She turned my horribly orange tinted hair into something so beautiful. I let her do whatever she wanted in order to fix it. When she was done and I looked in the mirror, my eyes filled with tears. I have never had anything like that happen before but this sweet girl restored my confidence. I will never go see anyone else!

However, she and the entire staff were warm and accommodating to me, professional, and Amy listened to my ideas and added her own and gave me a fantastic cut and color. I went for a spa day with a friend and was not disappointed!! The facial was relaxing and rejuvenating. The mani and pedi has me ready for warm weather! All staff were very friendly and informative of the products without being pushy. I will definitely be returning!

I wouldnt recommend 517salon to a homeless dog.I never usually write reviews but after my experience I had to. I went as a walk-in. I met with TORI and she said she could do my hair no problem. I had a picture of the cut I wanted and everything. My hair was long and I wanted to take a lot off. I wanted it to be layered and lighter on my head. I also specifically asked her not to leave my length at my chin. Guess where its at? RIGHT AT MY CHIN!Not only did she botch my cut but Tori let me walk out in a frizzy fur ball. I was given a terrible cut and tori also DID NOT STYLE my hair. She cut my hair to my chin, did not put any layers in and left the bottom uneven. It looked as though I had let a child cut my hair. I wanted to cry, after, she told me of another stylist who would have done my hair justice, and that I should have seen her due to us being the same race. As a hairstylist you should be able to do ANY hair type or not have your license. So after getting out of the chair for her to tell me I should have seen someone else made me think she wasnt going to charge me so much.In short I paid $50 for a haircut and styling I never received. I called the salon the very next day to try and get my hair fixed. This was a Thursday and they claimed they could not fit me in and told me to try again next week. I had never been treated so poorly by a salon in my life. As a company they should have tried to fix there mistake and keep a customer but, instead were rude and careless.

Decided to give them a try when my original nail tech quit from another salon. Got me in super quick and the girl did beautiful artwork but the Wednesday before my next appointment I noticed discoloration under my thumb nail on my right hand the nail came off without even a fight and SURPRISE! 🤗 Nail bacterial infection right before thanksgiving 😑... so yeah... the three stars I am giving them is for the art work and speedy appointment time. The greenie nail infection still has me abit upset but ‘‘tis life.

The salon is supposed to be upscale but its just a couple steps above the Asian salons as far as the employees arent speaking a foreign language in your face, they are friendly, offer beverages, and u can earn money off future services for client referrals. However, the service itself isnt that high end. My manicure and pedicure were subpar. The cuticles werent done much better than theyd be at an Asian salon where I feel the quality is the lowest. I was cutting excess dead skin off my finger and toe cuticles when I got home the same day. My massage was not 60 minutes at all. I looked at my watch right before taking it off and I had a solid 19 minutes worth of massage left. Plus, my masseuse was having an allergy/sinus attack and had to leave out of the room twice to blow her nose. I didnt mind that so much but not giving me my full 60 minutes for such a pricey service wasnt cool. In all, I spent $162 that day for a mani, pedi, massage, and tip for both ladies performing a service for me. I really didnt feel like I got my moneys worth but the takeaway is, its still better than an Asian salon. And they only use sterile equipment once so thats good to know.

Im always happy when I get to come here and happy when I leave! The stylists are so great at what they do and are very knowledgeable about current trends and what will look the best on you! I cant recommend them more! 517 Salon is definitely THE place to check out for a great cut/color/mani-pedi/or really anything that they offer!! The atmosphete is always so welcoming when you walk in. The person(s) who are working behind the counter are always so kind and attentive in bringing you something to drink or whatever youd like. So glad theyre here in Jackson!!
