I have used express lube for the past 4 years. I went in recently for an oil change. The tech took a transfer case sample without my permission. After the oil change and transfer case sample I had a steady leak on my transfer case. I returned for the transfer case service. Still a steady leak on the transfer case. I realized I have a crack on my transfer case cover. This didnt mysteriously happen in its own. Very disappointing.

Had my oil changed here this morning, quick turn around, nice crew, and price was right considering what my trucks Diesel engine requires, nice clean waiting room!

Got service here while on vacation and initially thought everything went well with the oil change - quick, friendly service and decent price. But a few days later and several hours from Jackson, we checked the dipstick and realized this place had drastically overfilled our truck. Took it to another oil place in Idaho and turns out my truck was overfilled by 2 whole quarts! Luckily we caught this within a few days, but wanted to review to let others know as overfill can cause engine damage.

Expensive but pretty quick and easy. Cost $105 for an oil change on my Rav4, which is ridiculous. But if you’re visiting for only a few days you don’t really have a choice.

I’ve used JH Express for over a decade for my personal and fleet vehicles. They provide quick knowledgeable professional service that they stand behind without the annoying upswell of unneeded services and parts. Maybe once in four trips they will recommend something, and I know with confidence that the vehicle manual recommends or is truly worn out.

The tech came out and told me I needed my transfer case oil changed. He showed me a sample of black oil and said it was from my truck. My truck only had 14,000 miles on it. The manual says to change the transfer case every 30,000 miles if you tow a lot or use it in 4 wheel drive a lot. Both of which I don’t do. This place tries to oversell you beware !!!!

I had to make an unplanned stop at Jackson Hole Express Lube on a trip over the Thanksgiving holiday. After waiting 3+ hours at another shop just down the road, I decided to give Jackson Express a call. The got me in within 15 minutes, and I was on my way in under an hour. They were responsive, helpful, kind, and efficient. They not only let us bring our dog into the waiting area instead of waiting outside in the cold, they even gave him treats while we waited! Very impressed and highly recommend!

Fast, friendly and knowledgeable service! Took care of all my issues and did a full inspection. I couldn’t be more impressed and definitely will be coming back as long as I’m here!!

Great service, as always. The lube technicians also caught an oil leak I had and notified me. They do an inspection on every vehicle, regardless of what you are getting serviced. And it’s quick! I’d recommend this place to all my friends and family.

JH Express Lube is always fast, professional, and friendly. I have lived in Jackson for 25 years and this is where I take my car to get the oil changed. I am always greeted by a friendly face and treated with respect. I am a busy professional, so time is money for me and the last 3 times Ive visited, Ive been in and out in under 20 minutes - one time in less than 10! My car is always cleaner than when I arrived and never smells like grease or has a greasy steering wheel. I 100% recommend them.

They add a charge for synthetic oil after they charge you for oil change and synthetic oil. 135 bucks for a basic oil change. Would not recommend.

They changed my oil and 2 days later my oil light was on, I added 4 quarts before I saw oil on the dipstick. They failed to install a new gasket on the drain plug, I was losing a quart every 40 miles. The manager John is a good guy, the crew sucks. John fully refunded what I paid for the oil change, changed the oil again, and paid me back for the 4 quarts of oil I had to add just to make it back to their shop. John is the only reason they got more than one star.

I called early in the morning to see if they could change a fuel filter in my truck and also tell me what the engine light on the dash meant. John quoted me a price for each. They took me in right away when I got there and did the work at the quoted price. I would certainly recommend this place.

Awesome people! Im 1500 miles away from home and blew a head gasket and they saved the day. I was under a time constraint, so they pulled me right in, got me out fast and helped me get the temporary fix from Napa across the street in.

The car was Is kind of a waste of money, my car came out all kinds of streaky. I wouldn’t go here again unless absolutely necessary

Really friendly people but man are they bad at what they do. Not only did they fail to tell me that they jumped my car to move it into the garage (as a result, I didnt drive it around enough to get the battery charged again) they also charged more than the Subaru dealership for a synthetic oil change. To top it all off, they looked and failed to find the nail in my tire that was causing it to slowly leak but the dealership found it and patched it in about an hour and for about $30.Long story short: If you have a Subaru, take it to the dealer here. Theyre much more capable and can change your oil AND rotate your tires for what these guys charge.

I was in town for business and realized I was overdue for an oil change. Going over the pass from Tetonia to Jackson 5 days in row is enough to make anyone worry about their performance of their vehicle.... So I pulled up, got right in and got tremendous service. Everyone was nice and friendly and helped me out. They checked out everything on my car too and gave me such piece of mind knowing my vehicle was running as it should. The price was just right too.Highly recommend this company and the fabulous people that work here!

Called in just around 2pm asking if they had availability for an oil change. They said to bring it on it, that they were open and have availability. 45 minutes later, I arrived to drop off the vehicle only to be told they were done with oil changes for the day and the best thing to do is to come by Monday morning at 8am... why would you not have mentioned this when I called if it was so close to your closing time? The lack of concern really rubbed me the wrong way. There was a friendly dog though, so the trip wasn’t a complete waste.

Had the oil changed at in Idaho Falls the previous afternoon and when we got into Jackson this morning we noticed it leaking. Express Lube got us in and found that the drain plug was loose. Topped us off and tightened up everything. Quick and efficient and excellent sevice. Highly recommend using them.

Car wash took forever and still left my car dirty...and it was only a spray wash.

So, just to let people know, I brought a new car, recently serviced at dealership to get a quick oil change, total bill $150. Absolute rip off, money better spent on lottery scratchers.The scam here is that they charge a 49.95 fee for the vehicle plus the oil change.Be warned, save your money and go somewhere they don’t blatantly rip you off.

Fast service and took care of what I needed. I only wish they had disclosed the cost of the transfer case fluid change before doing it. It was something I needed done, and would have paid for it regardless, but it always leaves a negative vibe when a customer finds out afterwards that it was more expensive than they imagined. Something I think most mechanics run into, and something I should have asked myself. 9 times out of 10 I dont like mechanics because they arent upfront with the price, not because they charge that amount. I would go back here if I was in the area and in need of another oil change, the service was quick and efficient.

Over priced, and they tryed to nickle and dime me. If i would not have been stern and told them OIL CHANGE ONLY! They still tryed to replace air filter and rear diff fluid even tho both were fine. Manager was excelent but the employees didnt have a clue what there were doing. Double check ur fluids before driving far.

Conveniently, my car took 5.1 quarts which meant an extra $20 for .1 quarts of oil.

Very expensive. Charged for a 100 point inspection when all I needed asked for was an oil change. Quick lube places DO NOT hire mechanics. Its like going to McDonalds and expecting a chef. They over charge customers.

Service has been good the several times I have went there. They also identified a slight oil leak that I later fixed myself. I do agree that the prices are higher than what I can get in other areas.

Typical “you have to upgrade this or you car will blow up”

$174 just for a synthetic oil change. Charge $30 for oil filter alone, then an additional $38 just to install an oil filter?? Really??? Dont think anything else has to be said.

They did an excellent job on my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The workers walked me through the components of my vehicle while the woman working the front desk was very hospitable.

They crammed an incorrect -- by far -- air filter into a friends car leaving a huge gap so Wyoming dust and Utah sand could find its way to the piston and valves. Testimonials from other friends:-- They broke a $350 sensor on an Audi, promised to pay for it, then reneged.-- They overtorqued a drain plug, causing all the oil to slowly leak out on the drive home.JH Express Lubes malfeasance is well known in town. If you are a traveler, you use this place at your own peril. You want Shervins, aka Independent Oil.

I was driving through Jackson Hole in early Sept 2016. I had no plans to spend anytime there if it werent for a problem with the USPO forwarding my mail (its preferred forwarding system is a disaster). Anyway, locals said Express Lube was OK, but I felt charging me $111.94 for an oil change was too much, but then again, I was driving through and needed an oil change. BTW: check the invoice ... item 18 misspells quality as QUAILTY. Dan Quail maybe quail hunting :-)

I ran through the wash, drove into town, got out of my car and you couldnt tell it had been washed at all. Only my windshield was cleaned by their auto wash. I tried to go back, but the oil change place was closed.

Stopped in today for a oil change only. Got a price for a oil change for my 4runner. They told me it would be $68.31 6-7 quarts of oil. My vehicle only requires 5.5 quarts of oil with a new oil filter.

Outrageous prices. Will not go back.

Stay away, here you are just being ripped off. I made it clear that I only wanted to have a basic oil change on my rental car, but a completely overpriced full service was carried out, which I had to pay for better or for worse. In addition, both the waiting time and the cheeky and cheeky reasoning of the employed front room lady when asked why a complete service was carried out were completely unmeasured. I can only warmly recommend everyone who comes to this area to stay away from it
