I have endured extensive auto repair needs in the last several weeks. As more items went wrong than expected - the staff remained professional, diligent and made sure I was a satisfied customer in the end. Jenna is a true gem for this corporation - she went above and beyond to calm my fears; she helped me find financing when it was necessary for repairs; she explained why things happened and she is an absolute pleasure to deal with. The staff at Tamrox made sure I had a loaner to use so that I wasnt without transportation and they even washed and filled my car! Excellent Service!!

Towed my car that my sister drives to Doctor appointments and the grocery store. It wouldnt start without a jump, then wouldnt start with a jump. Thought it needed a starter. After they inspected and ran diagnostics, they found it only needed a battery, but found several other things wrong with the car. Some things seemed reasonable (price) and some things seemed expensive. I went ahead and okayed the repairs on the phone. I thought $268.66 for a battery was way too much. I was told that the prices have gone up a lot lately. When they sent me a copy of the charges, I saw the labor for the battery was $140.97. I asked why so much for labor and the woman told me the tech said it was really hard to get at. I said I had no trouble replacing it myself 5 years ago and it was easy to get to. Then she said said oh, I made a mistake! I made the estimate too high, do you want the difference to go to future repairs or back on your card? I asked how much, and she said $50. I said I thought it should be closer to $100, but she would only refund $50, so I took what I could get. $90.97 labor for a battery when other places put it in for free when you buy it. It all seemed a little fishy, I have no trust in Tamrox, and Ill never go there again.Changing my 2 star review to 4 star due to the fact they refunded the labor on the battery. They also gave me a discount on a future repair, so I will give them another chance. One thing I forgot to mention is they are warrantying the work they did for 2 years or I forget how many miles. My sister wont put enough miles on it to matter anyway. Thanks to Tammy for making it right.

I took my van to Tamrox for the first time the Friday before Memorial Day. They were the only ones who could get me in quickly. They provided a loaner car for me over the holiday weekend and let me use it until my van was repaired. When they replaced my alternator it didnt work and they figured out that unfortunately my alternator took out my computer module. It ended up being more involved than originally anticipated due to that. They kept me in the loop and went above and beyond to ensure that I wasnt without a vehicle for the week they ended up needing to repair my vehicle. The day after I got my vehicle back, one of the new parts failed (not their fault, just a bad part). They got me in right away, gave me the loaner for the day, and got everything taken care of for me that day. A week after I got it back, my battery light came on. I was a bit frustrated and it was afterhours on Friday. I called and left a voicemail explaining what happened. Much to my surprise I got a call back a few minutes later letting me know that they would leave the loaner keys for me to pick up that night and that they would tow my vehicle back to their shop on Monday. Turns out a wire was loose and it was an easy fix. Due to the warranty they have, I didnt pay anything to replace the bad part or to have the wire tightened. They were very kind, knowledgeable, and informative every time I spoke with them. We will definitely be using Tamrox for any future repairs needed on any of our vehicles. They arent the cheapest place, but they arent the most expensive either. I feel like you get even more than you pay for because their customer service is so great.

Absolutely worst experience I’ve ever had. I brought my vehicle in to get fixed for a really bad squeaking noise on my engine. They replaced a tensioner belt which didn’t even need to be fixed. they do not take responsibility for what they fixed was wrong and wanted me to pay another $800 to get the noise fixed. The lady at the front desk”blonde hair” absolutely horrible and disrespectful. Did not care about my concerns and took my money with no regard for my financial situation. Do not take your car here absolutely a disaster!

Almost gave three stars, but I suspect my poor communication was at fault for some of the negative aspects. And their excellent front desk and professionalism makes up for a lot.I knew I needed new pads and rotors due to a groove worn. Went here hoping an independent place would be cheaper than dealer. I also expressed concern about my squishy feeling suspension and some clunkiness to the transmission.The cost of the brake work was not any cheaper than the dealer. But again, for me professionalism and a friendly front facing staff make up for a lot in my rating.They reported no breakages in the suspension and no transmission warnings in the computer system. I got the sense they never took the car for a test drive. Maybe I am just old and that is no longer a thing shops do, but I had hoped for some professional eval of my shocks and trans, not just a report that they technically still function via a visual inspection and a computer report. Suspension especially can easily need to be replaced, even if all the parts technically still minimally function.Nothing all that horrible about my experience, but nothing that would prevent me from trying a different independent shop or from just heading back to the dealer either.

Charged my daughter 71.00 to not fix her car very overpriced not anything like harrys estimate was well over 850.00 including 50.00 to change a air filter got the job done for over 500.00 cheaper at a honest shop. Would not recommend to anyone

They are amazing. When I really need someone they were there for me. As a bonus I look for a place that treats you like family and they sure did. Absolutely amazing. I had an older car worked on and they did a great job. The mechanic and owner were great to deal with, highly recommend.

Tamrox fit me into their busy schedule and got my car fixed before I was even out of work the same day. By the sounds of it they work with local dealers to get manufactured certified parts. They maybe a little bit more expensive than other local repair shops but their work is quality and worth the little extra bit of money. I will bring my car here again if I ever need anything done.

Staff was friendly, called and explained the process and keept in touch. Our car runs great. Will definitely use there service again.

They had my car for almost 8 hrs. I took it in for them to check the AC because I already knew it was leaking and where it was leaking at. I just wanted an estimate on how much to fix it. They gave me an estimate if $1000 to replace the condenser. Thats outrageous. And on top of that had my car for almost all day. They did give me a loaner car for free but they texted me 30 minutes after leaving the shop and said my car was in and being looked at and the name of the guy looking at it. I mean I guess if you have the extra money to spend then Im sure they do good work but I for one cant afford to spend 1000 on a part that should only cost about 300 to 500 to replace with labor and everything included.

They resealed my manifolds on both sides and new exhaust from manifolds back. Great company wonderful customer service. Great communication I will be back for future repairs

They did a good job taking care of the issues that I had with my car. They were always very responsive to answer my questions through their texting service or by phone. Everyone there was very very friendly. They seemed sympathetic and understanding to my situation. I plan on using them again however hopefully I have no issues with my car for a while LOL. I had some engine work done including having an intake replaced. If you’re in the area and you need a place that you can trust you found it.

Took my car in to check the starter. I was called later and told emphatically that I REALLY needed new front tires. I turned down the starter replacement as it was too costly (over $800) and was told again how badly I needed new front tires. I again turned down any repairs and said I would be picking up my car. I was put on hold, and the repair person then got on the phone and admitted that they had popped my front tire when removing it and would replace it for free. I kind of feel like if I had agreed to have them replace my tires and do the repair work, they would not have told me they accidently popped my tire. Didnt leave me feeling very trusting of their work.

I have a 1965 Mustang with a 1993 5.0 motor.This combination is many times challenging.I needed exhaust work done from the headers back. Tamrox fabricated a system that sounds awesome and works great. They also had to make alterations in the transmission cooling.The staff kept me informed the price was fair.I highly recommend Tamrox Automotive.They will now be my go to repair shop for myspecial Mustang.Tamrox staff were great.

I called first thing in the morning when they opened to see if they could get my Lexus in that had a major oil leak that I had a hard time sourcing myself. They got it in at 8am, had it diagnosed by 12pm, and after I approved the repairs, was finished by about 3:30pm all in the same day. I was astonished that they were able to get it in and finished on the same day and were able to source the part needed to get the job done quickly. I highly recommend Tamrox and will be bringing my Lexus back for repairs in the future. It is a little bit pricier than other shops in town but they also include a 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty with your repair to give you peace of mind for awhile after the repair is completed.

The people there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They took care of my vehicles issue promptly and for a more than fair price. They were very nice people, the job was done very well and in a timely manner. It did seem a bit expensive, but then again I usually do my own mechanical work. It may have been cheaper somewhere else, but I guess the speed and quality of work made up for it.

I was new in town and you want to believe that I checked the online reviews. They had some pretty good reviews so I decided to trust them with my 98 Ford F-150. I had some major engine problems and was hesitant to write a review after they performed the necessary work on my truck. Very friendly staff. I went in to get an estimate on exhaust work. They usually do appointments, but they had an open slot to get my car looked at. I was able to get the exhaust fixed the same day! Definitely would recommend them for your vehicle needs, and I will definitely return in the future!

I took my brothers car to Tamrox to have the tail lights repaired. They did not need it--I didnt know there was an on/off switch for them. Tanrox inspected and cleaned the wiring, charging $45. A less professional garage mightve claimed to have fixed the lights and charged more.

Brakes were grinding. tried 7 different places, all were booking 2 weeks in advance, but Tamrox got me in the same day. did a great job. Kept me posted on how long and even offered to come pick me up. Great customer service

Clutch repair. Definitely gouged me for $800 OVER the cost and estimate of all other nearby shops. They acknowledged they are WAY overpriced and said their priority is paying staff top dollar and NOT getting the customer a fair and comparable price. I guess this is great if you’re a mechanic looking for work. It’s a pillage though if you’re a customer. We’ll never go back again. Master’s Radiator/ Auto Repair down the street is our new go to for any and all repairs. Honest and up front without gouging customers.

They lived up to their name. Not only did they take GREAT care of my car , they also took great care of me when I broke down on the interstate. The mechanics all dealt straight with me and the lovely lady at the front desk made me feel right at home. The facilities were nice, clean and the waiting area was nicer than some hotel lobbies. The rates for my repairs were very reasonable and completed in an urgent fashion. I forget my AirPod there and I live 200 hundred mile away the next day they called me and asked if I forget the AirPod I said yes they send it to my address thank you so much . I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Called to see if they wanted to give an estimate to do a repair on my Honda Odyssey. I was told I couldn’t get a quote without paying for an inspection, when I explained to the service advisor that I had the inspection done already at the Honda dealership and I just needed the repairs done, she just said ok well I can set you up a appointment for an inspection, I again said I know what’s wrong with the vehicle I just need the work done. Well anyway I guess I won’t try to save money on labor, I’ll just pay the Honda dealer. This is a fantastic way to garner new business tamarack.

I went in today for a used truck pre purchase inspection and was very happy with my experience. They were fast and thorough and gave me plenty of print outs and a good idea of what to expect in my used car and plenty of ammo to negotiate with. Everyone I spoke to was courteous and professional. I highly recommend (for what little I had done).

I love knowing my car is being fixed by high educated technicians! They are all very honest when it comes to fixing your care & go above & beyond to take care of you. I love that they also have cars you can barrow while your care is being fixed with no charge. That’s something you don’t see very often.

I was out shopping and my car wouldn’t start. A very nice man jumped my battery and I drove directly over to Tamrox. They were about to close, but gave me a loaner car until they could look at it the next day. Instead of doing a lot of expensive diagnostics, replaced my battery and fixed it at the lowest possible price. I’m so happy to be able to have honest people to depend on for car repairs!

Despite the pain of finding out my truck engine was toast, the staff at Tamrox treated my wife and I very well. Ill definitely be using them for car repairs as needed going forward.

We will never bring a vehicle back to this shop, for so much as an oil change. I knew something was up when the quote (after their inspection and fee) changed DRAMATICALLY between when my child called (his vehicle), which was a HIGH estimate...to when I called and was told much lower prices.And then theres my spouses vehicle. Thousands of dollars in work, which took a month to complete (their issueS, not ours). Didnt bother to offer a loaner car, in fact my spouse was instructed (by Tamrox) to call our insurance company to see if our coverage included loaner vehicles. Im sure youll give a snotty reply, as you do anyone else whos review contains info you dont like...but I care not. You had a chance after Harrys left, to gain a whole new customer base...and you did not win us over. Hopefully my review will keep others from making this shop, their choice...and save them the headache.

I brought my truck in for air suspension. They tried their best to diagnose the problem I was having. They didnt have the tools for nitrogen air suspension however they directed me to a dodge dealership. Most places say they cant help you however tamrox went out of their way to help me with what I need in order to fix the situation. For that I am very grateful! No matter how busy they are they always take time & help with everything they have. This business has the best customer service anyone could possibly ask for!Thank again tamrox for your time & services!

Fixing my 1999 Honda in a desperate situationThese guy rock! Had a serious brake problem with leaking brake line and fuel line. The car sits for 10 months a year in a protected garage.We come to Michigan for the fall season. Fired up the car , had no brakes and could smell gas. This is a summer only car so no exposure to winter salted roads so little rust...but it is a 20 year old car. Checked all over Jackson, Mi for someone to repair the problem...of course most every repair shop was two to four days out before they could look at it. These guys immediately looked at it and gave me the prognostics. The repair was more complex than the rest of the day would allow to repair so they lent me their loaner car to use so I could pick up the wife that night a the Detroit airport. All repaired the following day by 10 A.M. Granted any repair of this magnitude is expensive but i feel it was fair and has a 2yr/24k warranty on the repair. You go TAMROXAnd to make this repair a little less painful on my wallet they gave me a new customer 10% discount on labor!!

I have been going to Tamrox for tires, oil changes, tune up and brakes for the last couple of years. I drive a civic and my maintenance needs have been minimal however Tamrox is where I take my car when I need something done.They are friendly and honest. While replacing one of my tires, they accidentally made a ding over the wheel. My car has all kinds of nicks, scratches, bumps and dings. The damage was minimal and I would have never, ever noticed. They were sure to point it out and offer compensation beyond what I would have asked for! Stuff happens, this shop held themselves accountable when it happened. What more can you ask for?

Tamrox has always been super helpful from day one. They are always willing to get my truck in and diagnose the problem and get it fixed as soon as they can! If my vehicle ends up being there longer than expected they now offer loaner cars which is supper convenient. Thank you tamrox for treating me as part of the tamrox family! You guys rock!

Not a good experience. Went to drop my truck off, told them what was wrong and what I wanted fixed. He told me it would be $90 to diagnose it and it would not go towards the repair. What diagnostic??? I told him what was wrong. I called 3 other shops that DO put it towards the repair. In fact, I Took it down to Auto Doctor for a $25! diagnostic that he would put towards the repair. Wont ever take my truck to Tamrox

I have always trusted them to fix my vehicles at a reasonable cost; however on my last repair they greatly overcharged for the repair. My car needed a new water pump. I was charged over $350 more than the BMW dealer quote and $500.00 more than Automotive Perfections quote, both of these were gotten after the repair to confirm my suspecion of price gouging. They are all friendly and play Religious music ; however I will never trust them to work on any of my vehicles again!

It was bad. I went in for some grinding coming from my rear drivers side wheel. Turned out to be a bad hub Assembly. Saw online it was $55 for the part, and assuming labor would take around an hour since I have replaced hub assemblies in the past, figured my cost would be $150 at most including labor and parts.My car was only in the air approximately an hour and 15 minutes before they were finished with the replacement. In total I was charged $126 in labor, and $125 for the part. I got the first time dicount, but that 10% doesnt factor into the unpleasant feeling you get from a $240 bill for a little more than an hour work. Not coming back. Debated whether it was worth the risk of just driving home and having my wheel come off.
