Chris Burnett has been cutting my hair for about 2 years now and I get complements on it every time I leave the shop. His dog is really friendly too! You cant go wrong picking him or any of the other staff here for a cut.

Narrative Space is the absolute best shop in Ithaca. Not only does it sell quality, ethically sourced goods, but the team (especially Molly and Elizabeth) are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything they sell. They way that they stand behind their goods is how every store should be run. It is literally the only place I recommend to friends now when they look to shop in Ithaca.

Wonderful experience! I walked in feeling extremely nervous because I was getting my first haircut in about 2 years. But right away the staff made me feel extremely comfortable and welcomed. I absolutely loved my haircut and beard trimming. The barber was fantastic, I could tell she was paying attention to detail and really working towards the haircut that we had discussed. Recently I had my first haircut and beard trim with Alexis at Narrative Space, and it was absolutely fantastic! She was sincerely friendly in a way that is often reserved only for regulars and favorites (but never garrulous). Her technique was refined: accurate, attentive and detail oriented, while relaxed in manner that put me at ease - it was plain that I was in the hands of a real professional. This is one of those rare occasions when a task you need to accomplish (getting a haircut) is replaced by an entirely enjoyable and satisfying experience, and Im already looking very forward to the next time.To any men (or short haired women) looking for a superb cut without the undue fussiness of a salon, I couldnt recommend Alexis at Narrative Space any more highly.

This may be a great place to get a haircut, but good luck trying to get an appointment. Currently if you don’t know your exact schedule two weeks in advance, you will get no appointment. Too bad. They are completely booked into the foreseeable future.

I think I can confidently say that this is easily one of the worst hair salons to have ever graced this planet. Their customer service team and overall staff have dumbed down professionalism and politeness so far that I’m not actually sure this is a real business, it feels more like a practical joke set up by the devil to troll people who need haircuts. After being told to simply book an appointment online, I then discovered that they have no availability for the next like 2 weeks. I’m also particularly confused as to why my haircut is going to take “30 to 40 minutes” when literally all I want is to trim the sides. This is the epitome of trash. I’d highly recommend other salons, unless you’d like to book an appointment for 2020. Then I guess it’s okay.

Ive gone to the barber twice. Chris has given great haircuts and beard trims for very reasonable prices. Thumbs up.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND I have tried what feels like every barber shop in Ithaca and after getting my haircut by Benn at Narative Space I can confidently say it’s one of the best cuts I’ve ever received. I was nervous at first trying a new place but after just moments of talking with Benn I was put at ease. He’s one of the newer barbers here, don’t let that fool you! He’s professional and knowledgeable and is truly passionate about his job. Although the cut was a bit more expensive than what I’ve been used to paying at other shops, this haircut was worth every penny! You get what you pay for! From now on I will only be going to Benn at Naritive Space for all my haircuts.
