I have a 65 Mitsubishi DLP television. It is an older model. I think I bought it in 2011. The lamp went bad. When I attempted to unplug it from the television. The socket in the television and the plug for it on the lamp broke. Contacted Irving Electronic even though the part was not in production anymore. I was still able to get my television to work again.

This is just the ideal mom-and-pop shop to go to for hassle free computer and tv repair. Gary and his crew do quality work at a fair price. First, I had them replace a laptop screen and the owner made sure to do his homework so that we got the right part at the best price. Then, I had a charging port that wasnt functioning and he fixed it overnight. Thats why this is the only repair service Ill ever use.

Although i respect elderly people and wouldn’t wanna argue or say anything bad about them but this sir working here really didn’t know what he was doing with my laptop. His politeness and friendly behavior makes the customer service look good but when it comes to his work, he is way behind the advanced technology that’s on the market today. He also misplaced 3 screws from my laptop and refused that he did it. I am sure it was him cause it was the only place i had taken my laptop for repair and it was him who opened it. Plus the place is really inappropriate with the timing they have mentioned. Go at your own risk because if anything goes wrong he is gonna blame it on you.

Laptop screen broke. Came in on a Saturday, owner ordered it for me, it came by Wednesday evening, I dropped my laptop off, and they fixed it up by Thursday evening. Laptop works great now.Owner is funny and really helpful. Go to them with your concerns and they’ll take care of it quickly at a fair price of labor.

Laptop crashed took six months for me to bring it in, cause i thought it would cost a arm and leg. Turns out 25$ down picked it up next morning and paid 45$. total 60$ repair that i should of done along time ago. great guy, also a great musician. Go by check him out. Quick and fast.

Rude and unprofesional, I came in to get an estimate of a screen replacement on a Lenovo laptop, the owner was very impolite treated me with,disrespectful , by demanding me to give him the model number, instead of utilizing excellent interpersonal skills in asking or suggesting, I address the issue but you did not try to apologize are correct himself. I left the store. Good reviews can be manipulated by the employees!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. We dropped off a PS4 on Sunday and were told that we would be notified that day of the diagnostic, we werent. On Monday we called again around 2 pm, and again we were promised that someone would get back to us before 7pm, another lie because that did not happen. Tuesday I call and I am told that now the shop is closed. If he would have just been honest from the beginning and told is he would not be able to get to it then we would have taken it somewhere else. The guy hung up on me after I asked why we were lied to.

I strongly recommend you find a different place to do business with, they did nothing to my computer and still charged me $85 to get my laptop back (I only paid that because I had person files on it.). Plus, the older guy with the mole was straight up rude the whole time.I took my laptop in in 2016, it wasnt turning on using the power button. I get a call 2 days ago stating that they still have my laptop and ask whether I still want it, or they will trash it. I asked if they had at least fixed the issue, and the older guy with the mole said yes. So I go and pick it up, paid $93 total. (When he first handed me the laptop it was on, I logged in and left the store.) I get home and shut the computer down, but then try to turn it on 1 hour later and realize the button isnt working, I open up the computer and noticed that there is no button switch to active the computer. NOTHING WAS DONE FOR 2 YEARS.I will be calling back to get my money back because thats just not right. Everyone should take their business somewhere else.

Gary is a very nice friendly guy. I brought in my lg 60 inch tv. He figured out what was wrong which was my backlights were completely out. A meticulous repair that involves taking apart the whole tv. My tv never looked better now. When you first walk in its definitely compact and cluttered, which to me is a good thing. Its not a show room its a repair shop and he did a great job and saved me ALOT of money from having to go buy a new TV.

Broke a capacitor off of my brand new motherboard while installing another part. The proprietor soldered the replacement part back on, looked like new, PC works great, charged me a pittance. Highly recommended.

I dont even know where to begin with this review. Their shop is ridiculous! Literally looks like a bomb went off. No professional appearance what so ever. We asked him to repair a lap top for a client. We were told that it would only be a couple weeks. Well that turned into almost 3 months! Not once did he call me to update me about the progress of the repair.I had to track him down each time and every week it was a new excuse. This came in broke or that came in broke. He put no effort into rushing the replacement parts after they came in broke and had to be reordered. Each time I called him and asked about an update he had an attitude and extremely defensive! He has no customer skills at all! We shouldve known from the minute we walked in and set this up to cancel it and go some where else. We used our bosses card to set it up. He had no problem charging our card $160 but refused to do anything or even start until our boss came by to sign the receipt. Which I wouldve understood had he not already took our money ! I honestly have no idea how this place is still in business if he conducts business with everyone the way he did with us.

I would not recommend, incorrect diagnosis and charges $40 for diagnosis and others only charge $25. Wasted $40 for the diagnosis and had to take the TV to different shop and got it fixed with proper diagnosis.

The Owner of Irving Electronics has repaired my 2 laptops as promised and on time. One laptop had a broken screen and had unknown technical issues booting up. He charged diagnostic fee for the technical issue and had honestly deducted it from the complete repair charges. The repair charges were reasonable. The owner kept me informed of the repair status and answered all my concerns and questions. Affordable repair, dependable quality and excellent customer service...what else can one expect from a repair store? I have initially planned to get them repaired in popular electronic stores where they have quoted more than 300$ for screen replacement which I got replaced for more than half the price at this place. Trust Irving Electronics and the owner wont let you down.I will definitely refer this store for anyone who wants their laptop screens replaced for a cheaper price and quality work.

The place REEKS of cigarette smoke.The guy is rude and very unprofessional I did not feel comfortable leaving my laptop with him.

Horrible experience. They have no customer service skills when speaking over the phone. I was quoted $25 to inspect a TV, but upon arriving with my TV (A very large, heavy TV that I carried down 3 flights) they wanted to charge me $50. This was upsetting. After being lied to, I called a few other places to get quotes-The standard from place to place was $25. I offered to give them my business if they would match the price of the competition-they said no. Awful experience. The store looked like a tornado had just passed through. Electronics laying all over the place. Will not go back. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I had a problem with my ASUS laptop computer. I didnt know who to call and I found Irving Electronics online. I called and spoke with Gary. He was extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable. I live in another state and I would have to mail my computer to him for repair. I sent Gary some pictures of my problem and he immediately replied with a text and told my my problem was a very simple one. He gave me information on how to fix the problem myself.If I ever have a need for computer repair I will definitely call Gary.

My 55 inch Samsung LED went out. The repair technician told me to throw the TV away as it is all burnt and charge me $85 service fee. I went on line and found out it was the timing board that was bad. I ordered it online for $85 and replaced it. My TV is running like new!!Incompetent Tech and unreasonable service charge. It is a good place to get your laptop repair in cheaper and faster

I have used Irving Electronics several times, and I have always been extremely pleased with the service. The first time I used them, I purchased a replacement bulb for my Samsung DLP TV. I was told that I needed to have the mother board repaired to prevent the new bulb from going out prematurely. I opted not to have the repair made. When the replacement bulb went out, they came out on a Sunday to make the repair. My most recently, I bought a replacement bulb. The owner waited patiently as I called home to get the model number for a new bulb. He told me how to install it and event gave me gloves to use to handle the bulb. They have ALWAYS gone above and beyond to help. I highly recommend them.

This was the second time Ive used Garys shop for DIY TV repairs. The first time was to replace a bulb in my DLP and the second time was to replace the DLP chip.Gary walked me through how to complete both repairs in great detail and even followed up via text, which included step-by-step pictures, and later with a phone call.When I had problems with the chip installation, he kept his shop open and asked me to bring the components to him so he could install the chip and clean out the housing.I would definitely recommend his services to anyone who would rather repair their current TV In lieu of purchasing a new unit.I will definitely be using his services again.

I found Irving Electronics while searching Google for a place that would buy an older 46 Samsung LED (08 model). I thought to gave it a try and was really pleased with the experience!I called Gary and was greeted properly with the name of the store. I explained my situation in that I was trying to make some room and was wanting to try and sell this TV as I had a new one. (With our current living arrangements of having to take in my ailing brother and converting the living room into a medical bedroom, having anything extra right now just isnt viable.) He asked what condition the TV was in, if it was in working order, and what brand and model it was. I explained to him in full detail everything I knew but did not have the model number on me, so I asked if he could give me a few minutes to get that for him. He said thats not a problem and to just call back with it as soon as I could get to it. After a few minutes,I did call back and provided the model number. He asked me what I was looking to get out of it, so I proceeded to throw a number out there not really knowing where to start. We ended up meeting a little lower, which was fine. I told him I could be up there shortly and he said that was fine to just come up there when I could get up there. I ended up asking how late they were open, and to my surprise, a lot later than any other electronics repair shop Ive ever dealt with.When I got up to the shop and entered the shop, Gary was actually outside taking a short break when I arrived. He promptly came in behind me and apologized for being outside. He then asked how I could be helped in a professional manner. I explained that I had just called and he smiled and says, Youre the Samsung guy!. I laugh and tell him that I am indeed that person. So we go out to my car to get the TV out of the back seat and immediately sees that Im having a hard time getting the TV out and picked up. I explain to him that I have multiple health issues and picking up anything very heavy is extremely difficult. He then proceeds to tell me that I do not need to worry about picking the TV up that he will get it. I ask to make sure and he jokingly tells me, Either TV will die or I might die, but I am carrying this TV I laugh and tell him ok.Once inside, he gets the TV setup on a temporary cart and explains that we will need to test the TV, I agree (fully). He gets it setup, I tell him the remote batteries are probably as old as the TV itself (which we find out to be true) and may not work. Sure enough, the batteries barely power the remote, but enough to get the TV on and set to a TV station. After a short time, he proceeded to pay me, in cash, the exact amount as promised over the phone. From here, my experience went from just a business experience to basically gaining a new friend.I stayed there for quite some time, to the point of my wife ALMOST threatening to kill me (ask Gary, its true!). We talked about a lot of things; electronics, health, family, TVs, business, customer service and more. He even shared some of his personal background with me as far as his life up till now and I did the same. He showed me around the shop, explained what his shop was about and what services he has done and does today and even went as far as offering me a soda or some water.Now, a word from me personally. For anyone that has had a negative thing to say about Irving Electronics or Gary, please, do yourself a favor and try this business again. His beliefs about how business should run and the service he provides is honest. For those that have not tried his business, he will tell you up front service fees and what he can do for you.I truly believe he is out to make a honest living, to run a honest business, and if my experience isnt proof of this, I dont know what is. Thank you again and I look forward to doing business in the future with Irving Electronics and Gary.

This place is just horrible. The previous writer is correct in saying that it looks like a tornado hit the shop. It looks like its owned by Sanford & Son or a never ending junky garage sale when you walk in the front door. I should have ran when I saw it. I still allowed the owner to solder (fuse) my tablets charging port back on. He stated it would be $25 to do so but if he couldnt fix it, that it would be $65 and could he just fix it rather than calling me. I said no. If you cant solder it, I will come and pick it up. Its just a cheap tablet for my daughter to play games on, so why would I pay $65 for him to fix it and it didnt cost that much. I guess he didnt like that he wouldnt be making more money. So, I took pictures of the port because I thought he may break it just so he could try to charge me more. He said he would open my tablet the next day. I left my tablet on a Wednesday. I never heard from him on Thursday. So I called. He stated that he hadnt opened it because it was going to take a while to fix. Soldering? Please. It doesnt take that long. I believe that he was money hungry and angry that he couldnt get $65.00 out of me. Friday comes, it still isnt fixed. No phone call from him. I called him and he said give him a couple of hours. I called at 6:30 pm.. he states I dont know if its fixed but you can come pick it up. When I picked it up, it was open. He stated I couldnt close it back up but its charging. I just picked up the tablet and went home. I was just so disgusted with the bootleg business. A few day later, solder came loose. I went back because on the receipt there is a guarantee. A 60 day and 30 day. As soon as I told him what happened. He just became very angry and hastily broke my tablet open causing the buttons to fall out on the dirty floor. I didnt know that all of my buttons fell out. I just felt one hit my foot. He began arguing with me saying that I want him to work for free. What is my problem and when I answered back he began saying that I needed to leave. I told him that I have the receipt with the guarantee and that he at least needs to try to solder it. He continue to holler that he gets paid $65.00 for this and stormed off to the back of the shop with my tablet. After a while, he called me back to the back of the shop. He told me, its broken there is nothing I can do. I said okay, just put it back together like it was when I handed it to you. He started screaming, you gave it to me opened. I kept telling him, NO I DID NOT!!! I dont know how to open it up all the way and I wouldnt have done that in fear that I may break something!! He kept screaming at me so I called him crazy. He then threatens to call the police on me. I told him to call them. He sat the phone back down and tried to solder my tablet all the while belittling me. I said I will just contact the BBB. He says the BBB cant do anything, WHO IS THAT?? THE CCC, THE BBB? Get out of here!!! You are threatening me!!! He completely lost his mind!!! I asked him why did it take him two days to do something that he is now doing in a few minutes. He angrily said, YOU CANT FIX IT IN TWO DAYS!!!. I just kept begging him to please just close my tablet back up so I can leave. He fused my tablet back together (not the charging port) and handed it back to me in two pieces. I just left. This was the worst experience ever!! This man is very argumentative and angry for no apparent reason. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TO THIS MAN!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! THE LAST THING...The other tech in the office was watching YOUTUBE to learn how to fix a computer. JUST BEWARE!!!
