Going out of business soon. Another Covid retailer victim. This place is a ghost town. Sad to think how far this business has fallen. Half stocked shelves, limited selections, and sparse employees is what you will find. RIP once dominant DFW electronics giant.

The store was clean and organized, I like that it’s well labeled but as I walked around I noticed several aisles that were fairly empty.. as if they missed a restocking shipment! I walked by 5-6 associates before One even smiled and asked if I needed help. Then when I did have a question it took a bit to find someone to help me but the associate was kind and helpful. I’m used to amazing service from a Houston area Fry’s so this was unusual to me. Maybe it was just an off-day.

This is my second time Ive been to a Frys Electronics store, and theres nothing in stock. I keep telling one of the employees why theres nothing in stock, and their excuse is, were waiting for a shipment to come in. I probably wont come here again, because they have nothing in stock and they lost my trust for having anything open. I try to look for something that I need, they dont have it.

I brought my CPU to the Fry’s location in Irving, TX at 5PM CST on a Saturday. This location closes at 7 PM. Not only was the price SUPER affordable, but the specialist Andrey Novikov knocked it out of the park and finished my CPU in less than an hour!!! Usually most electronic retailers will take upwards to a week to repair computers but he only took an hour to get it done. What a fantastic and efficient job! Will be back at this Fry’s anytime I have an electronic need!

There is almost nothing here to buy. If you want to build a PC they have next to no components. They do however have a bunch of chairs you can roll around in, its more entertaining than their theater room.They did have tumbleweeds on sale and you could occasionally spot an associate just hanging out.I loved Frys in the past and was were I built my first PC but just go to micro center, they have stuff.

The shelves were empty in many areas. There were almost no electronics and there were no computer components.

It used to be a great computer store and also had electronic parts. Now that area is a barren wasteland. Or full of nerd darts.

Today is December 16th 2019 were in the middle of the Christmas holiday season and I went into one of my favorite electronic stores of all Frys Electronics. I have loved this store for years. Ever since I crossed over from Best Buy even going back to Days of Circuit City. Frys has been my go-to store for years Ive $ TVs, gaming consoles and all types of phones and gadgetry. Today is that day I know their time is limited and Amazon is the poison that is taking them out. First I walked into Frys in the usual displays that are not upfront were not there. Second out of the 10 or so employees that I saw this was the first time I was able to walk the entire store and not get bothered one time with can I help you or can I show you something. Most of them were either talking to other or somewhere on their phones with their heads down. Then the coup de gras I went in there for a 64GB memory card for my cell phone which is one of the best deals Ive ever seen at $8.99. When I got to the cash register to check out and the item price was $29 this is normal before you use your promotion code but the guy could not get the promotion code to work. This is also kind of normal because theyll see it on your phone see the ad and know to go to the manager and theyll make things happen. This took some time precious time. Time you would not normally have to waste if youre on Amazon. Then after all that was said and done he charged me $9.99 for the item $1 more than the promotion code said it would be. This is the only reason Im giving Frys three stars instead of one star. Because even at $9.99 a 64 GB memory card for your phone is definitely a bargain.

Best place for branded electronic items with plenty of brands and variety at one place.The place has cafeteria inside as well

Not much to say here. There were only 4-5 customers when I visited. They have lots of items in store though. Staffs were very nice and friendly.

The service was not great in this visit. I will update once I visit again. The guys at the computer counter are always great. The rest of the store considered me and my guest and ghost.

One stop fun place to shop for so many things. Frys gave good advice while I shopped for parts for my current computer, then expertly assembled it.

Frys isnt the same store any more. Most of the shelves are empty, and most of what they do have are brands that youve never heard of before but competitive prices. If you need a DVD or components to build a PC, its a decent option.

Its sad to see this place go down,it use to be packed a couple of years ago,the employees are great and nice,I hope I get to go back soon.

Its sad.I called. Needed 150ohm and 3.3k ohm resisters.Lady answers. Very polite and sweet.Yeah. Yeah we have a good selection come on in!!I go in and the shelfs are still wiped out like they were 6 months ago.Its too bad I can see how many they once had. I really wish they would take the burst and restock everything and announce it.Now Microcenter is overwhelmed by business because this company has all but closed the doors.

Did order ahead and was ready quickly. Only reason I gave it a 4 is that the store is pretty much empty of stock. Dont go expecting to have any sort of variety, youll be lucky if they have anything close to what you need in stock.

Frys electronics is an amazing place to buy electronics and more. they did not hesitate to answer any of my questions and took as much time as possible to help me with my problem. Jeremia McElveen and many others other employees at frys help me build my first pc!!!!!! Thank you Jeremia.

No processors or memory... and so little staff. Those there are very helpful.

They are almost empty, nothing like it used to be. No computers, phones, much of anything really.

Many many of the items were not in stock. It almost looks like the apocalypse the shelves were so empty. They still have some stuff and their prices are pretty competitive.

Man I used to love wandering around Frys, but this pandemic has devastated the ambience to frys. Not really anything worth seeing at this location

Sad state of affairs. Bare shelves for ”reorganizing Christmas week. Minimal stock, employees know its going downhill you can feel it.

For about a year now, Frys has been having trouble keeping stock, dropping products that Im used to getting there, and overall poor service. I placed an online order and paid for it in advance to make things go faster at checkout, and when I got there the order was not filled and they had to locate the product and I ended up having to purchase it as though I picked it up off the shelf myself. So much for speeding things up with online orders.

Needed some new headphones and this place kame to mind. Payed about 30 bucks for them and I must say they are very good and fits dont slide or fall off

Parking Area,Kinda a pretty And very spacious but lil bit sad BecAuse the Store looks like goong to be for close or something, or maybe a renovation which is going to be very nice, we get there to buy a Monitor and a laptop for our Mom, and the pricing was great,. :)

Its just sad. Theres virtually nothing in the store other than some off brand TVs and random items. Only 1 high end TV in the entire section, everything else is empty. There nothing in the majority of the aisles and the car audio department is empty. They are supposedly getting a new vendor but it looks like they are going out of business. And its been this way for over a year.

I always loved this Frys showroom, the staff is super friendly and I usually find something to buy here even if Im just giving a ride to my friends. The staff at the billing counter would help you with checking for promo codes even if you dont have one. Each week the price may vary like a JBL speaker was 19$ less on Saturday but it increased Sunday. Make sure to grab the stuff you want if you see it in good offer. I bought a decent audio-technica headphones recently which was 29$ less than anywhere else.

Good place to find all kinds of electronic components and devices. Cheap prices as well.

Wow folks, the covid virus has really affected Frys. I was greeted with a lot of empty departments and shelves. Very few staff. It was sad to see. I managed to find what I needed but it was the last one.

Prices are okay. Very understocked. The staff is friendly. The store is pretty clean.

I gave 5 stars because I remember the old glory days when this place was packed with people. It was an electronics geek carnival place. Went last week and another Covid retailer victim. This place is a ghost town zombiland has hit. I hope they recover but I suspect it will go out of business.

Due to recent events this place is dying. Don’t waste your time. It’s sad.

Check out prices online / on the internet - on different websites, before going to the store. You never know where you can find a good/better deal.

I really hope Frys doesnt become the next circuit city. Everytime I came here it used to be magical, and was overwhelmed with how nice the store was, but now it seems like its about to go out of business. I dont know whats going on, but this Im sure can be easily fixed.

Empty shelves. No motherboards in stock. I needed a few comp fans and a some various parts but nothing was in stock. Asked one of the few employees and he said they were switching vendors and getting new inventory soon. I doubt it. Ghost town and soon to be death of this retailer. So sad.

I returned to this store to refund RAM that I had purchased on Christmas Eve because I was gifted better RAM on Christmas. I purchased an i7-6700k instead, it was priced at $333 but they easily price matched it with microcenter at $250, saving me nearly $100. There was no problem or complication with this transaction.

Do not get your computer fixed here. I took my laptop in to get a fan replaced and it worked fine for about a month. Not only did it take 3 weeks to replace a fan, but the part they “fixed” it with has since broke and I can’t get ahold of them via phone. I got to talk to the service department one time and I told them what happened and since then, I’ve gotten the run-around. My call keeps “magically” going to other stores and keeps dropping when I’ve been on hold for 30 minutes or more. I’ve called 10+ times over 2 weeks and have not been able to talk to the service department. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The associates are less than helpful. Could/would not answer questions left me to wander.

I wanted to fries to pick up a dash cam video recorder for my truck it was on sale and they had several options. I forgot to get a mini SD card and had to go back inside after the fact but I found it very quickly overall I spent $165 for the SD card and the video camera quarter great service and location is good to get in and out of everyone was wearing mask and it felt safe

Ghost town. No one to help you with anything. Only reason I gave it a 2 is because I finally got help from an older lady during checkout

The store was basically empty. Memory and motherboards were replaced with water bottles.

Some variety of electronic items. However, the store looks too big for the few products it has.

I hadnt been here in a few years and was excited to go visit to pick up some supplies and browse. They still have all the networking cables you could ever need And the staff were helpful, but the stocked inventory is looking pretty sad with lots of vacant shelves throughout the store.

Ive been going to Frys since I can remember, it has always been my go to place for mobile/ computer/ or home upgrades. I dont know whats going on there but no greeting or hellos and when trying to find someone to assist me in looking for something... No One to be found unless you go to the register. This location looked clean but empty, not sure if they are going out of business but thats what it seemed like. Dont think Ill be going back anytime soon.

They have alot of good and useful stuffs but seems to be low on staffs.

I really hope this place survives. There are so many times where we need supplies for a job and online just doesnt cut it. Even though they have been forced to streamline a lot of their inventory, you can probably find it here.

I keep asking if this store is closing. They keep saying no, but they have somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 of the store closed off. And, the rest of the store has very little to do with tech anymore. What tech they do have is some off the wall brand names.

Used to be the best place for great electronics.Not any more couldnt find simple diagnostic tools for basic electrical work. Most of the shelves are empty. It was quite depressing walking through the store looking at signs that would state items like mother boards, video cards, monitors, and yet there was just empty space there.

This is my favorite electronics store. They have everything. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. I have to be careful when shopping there. I go in to buy one thing, but end up finding a cart full of other stuff I need too. I recommend this place to my family and friends.

Almost nothing for sale in the whole store... they had one single Graphics card. The employees assure you they are NOT going out of business but there is no way they arent selling the last of their inventory and closing up shop. Look at any stores recent pictures and they all show a barren shelf company... We loved the place. RIP

Frys electronics is still allowing indoor shopping. Due to the current pandemic, they are lacking in stock. However, what they do have is high quality and worth every penny. Frys electronics beats best buy... Sorry best buy.

At one point I remember great things about Frys selection. Nowadays? Near the entirety of the components section is nearly or entirely empty. Perhaps a sign of the times, but nonetheless an issue if you want to shop in person

Where to begin, went over a week ago, almost every department is pretty much empty, I was looking for a UPS backup battery, not a lot of options, but I found the one I need it. Finally when I got to the cashiers so I can pay and get out; literally all 7 guys were in a corner just talking and cracking jokes, I waited almost 10 mins, since I was like the only person in the entire store it was ridiculous it was taking so long just to check out my product and be on my way; one gentleman walking by looked at me and I ask him if they were close; he keeps looking and just responds yes, I literally left my product on the counter and left to Best Buy to buy the UPS. Absolutely ridiculous how a great company like Frys went down the drain.

This place is a ghost town and hardly any merchandise. The only good thing, they had plenty of sanitizer and masks.

Went to look at there PC components. They have reduced the amount of stock they have over the years. Used to be a very good place to go to. But the past couple times they did not carry the items I wanted to get. (Video cards, web cameras). I do not plan on coming back outside of just browsing around if Im in the area. Not worth the 30 min drive. Micro Center has this place beat.

Got a new 2020 MSI Gaming laptop for only $849, its very light weight and portable.Service was very fast and friendly and the store is clean.Starting to recieve a lot more stuff and increasing their stock.Shocked to see a Danby Deep Freezer and several routers and power supplies.Got a Cougar 800W PSU and the new Cougar Conquer 2 open air pc case for my next build with a Ryzen 3600 processor!

This place looks like its going out of business, but there are no clearance sales. Whole swaths of empty shelves and sections of the store cordoned off from shoppers.

Big store, but it didnt ha e much of anything on the shelves. No screens to go with a desk top, or laptops.I asked why, and was told they were on consignment with vendors. Could this be another victim of 2020 and the all the Close down?

Found a lot of old school electronics items here. Its a good place to look for some of the electronic items which you may hardly find anywhere else.

What happened? This store used to be fun to go too. Now, little to no inventory, many empty shelves. It is not pleasant to be in such a big store with so little merchandise. Sad to see such a shift.

I dont have any pictures of the place but even if I did I wouldnt have enough to show off 10 percent of whats in the store. So many mother boards coolers GPU CPU and many other pc items and parts. All with very very low prices.

OMGosh!! What has happened to Frys?!?! I know its been a while, but that ONLY because I could never just go and window shop. I always ended up buying something, but thats not much of an option anymore. The store had more workers than product. Ill get back to the workers in a minute. The store looked like Walmart after the government says not to worry. The shelves are BARE!! It looked as if they were going out of business. I even asked the staff if they were going out of business and was told no. Now about that staff. They were never very friendly unless they thought they were getting a sale, but now they are openly hostile. Maybe thats why the store looks like its bankrupt. If you need to go get something electronic, skip Frys. Best Buy would be a better choice or Amazon if you feel like doing a little social distancing. Good luck and cheers mate!!

What ever happened to Frys? I went in to look at desktop computers and saw nothing deal-worthy, among the limited selection; I think they had more variety of gaming chairs. Mind you to get to the PC section you have to pass the myriad of bargain bins that had some items that make zero sense in an electronic store - shovels on sale? I remember Frys being the go-to for electronics, including PC parts and home appliances. They still sell these items, but the competitiveness seems to have gone away and has been replaced with a feeling of being in a mini-mall.

Very expensive services to fix computers, and it took several days to diagnose what ended up being a simple issue. Virtually nothing on the shelves (are they going out of business?) and lots of confusion in trying to get the issue rectified. This place used to be great, now not so much.

Generally concerned about this store, I asked an emergency if the store was going out of business but they said that supplies were low and slowly coming due to the pandemic. Other electronic stores arent having the same issues though?

Just want to give a shout out to the Frys service center. These guys are excellent. Super knowledgeable and efficient. They helped diagnose a problem in my hard drive and were able to help reinstall a new drive without losing any of my data and helped get me a great deal. Only place I trust with my computers

This place was gutted. Empty shelves everywhere.... I wandered around for 30 minutes looking for a telephone (land line) couldnt find any and not a single employee offered to help. Dont know what happened. Ive been here before years ago and it was nice and everyone was helpful. The store and restrooms were clean though.....

It would have been nice to have help to the car with so many salespeople standing around. Otherwise it was fine. Got a decent price on a good computer.

I didnt catch the name of the gentleman who helped me but. I walked in was greeted immediately he told me to have a seat went and got me everything i was looking for. The place was deserted. Empty shelves everywhere. We went in to buy computer parts and left with nothing.

Sad to see what has happened to American retail. There is nothing on the shelves and they stopped paying vendors so unfortunately they will be closing the doors soon. also sad that the employees dont seem to know. They should start looking for new employment now.

I went here the other day with my husband looking for a specific item. The store is so large and I have a difficulty time with my walking. I decided to ask one of the people with the red vest. They knew exactly what I wanted and they went right to it and got it for me period and then it came back and asked if there is anything else anywhere in the store that I needed. They did not have it any problem going to different parts of the store together the things that I come there for. My husband had his own things you need to get and had done that for himself. But I enjoyed not having to tag along or use energy that I did not have. I would highly recommend this fries to anyone that needs to have assistance or even just a little help once in awhile. And they had every line on both sides open to check out. So even though there was a huge line of people waiting to check out it went so fast that it was like we were there in line by ourselves. And the girl that bring up our items was so very nice and helpful and get her job quickly incorrectly it was a pleasant surprise. Thank You Frys for the change that you made the education that you must be giving your people because this was a wonderful experience.

Its just sad, this place was one the one stop shop for all electronics, including repair and install needs. Now its an empty warehouse with whatever they couldnt sell. Clearance? Oh no, at least not yet. Prices were sky high. The staff is clueless. They seem to be making the business case for Amazon easy.

If you need electronic things, Frys has them. Good selection, fair prices, and has stuff for actually building your computer (if you are into that). As a teacher, Ive found good stuff for making circuit kits for my kids when they learn about electricity. Frys also has a pretty good selection of savory snacks and sweets. They have some learning toys if you have a kid who loves science, a section dedicated to As Seen On Tv products, and this Frys has a small cafe.

I ordered a laptop online for $150. Free in-store pick up. Within a few hours I was able to pick it up hassle free! Customer Service is fantastic. I wasnt 100% sure that was the laptop I wanted and the really nice caring laptop worker showed me others. I ended up choosing the one I already bought. They have some other really interesting things there as well. I purchased a hair straightener originally 50 for $17. Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

This was my first visit in a long time. This store just isnt what it used to be. They are supposedly cutting inventory but there is literally nothing on the shelves in some departments.
