I initially found Geeks Stop on google based on their reviews. I was looking to upgrade my personal computer, (hard drive, memory, etc). I brought my computer in to get checked out and spoke with Monica. She was very friendly and offered different options for my situation.The thing I like and dislike about Geeks Stop are the following:Like:-Small business-Minority owned-Great work and communication-Monica was very responsive-She thoroughly cleaned the inside of my computerDislikes (and that is a stretch):-I did not have any pricing to compare it to as this was my first time doing this. I brought in my Lenovo Yoga laptop to be fixed. The hinge broke and I could no longer open or close it without breaking it completely. They said they could fix it. But their fix has made the camera inoperable and the screen was put back on with what basically appears to be glue. It was a very poor repair. I did not expect factory repair, but this looks like a hack job.

My wife Brina left a hard drive there last year and we have not heard back from anyone despite numerous calls. Will gladly remove this post if they resolve our issue.

I went to this location GeekStop Irving to fix my mac book pro late 2016 with touch bar.. I was having a serious issue with my mac . The OS would always boot with the dialog box that said critical update required and the mac would not update at all. wasted my time a lot troubleshooting the problem and i was suggested a complete change of logic board by apple. I did not have apple care(you know how that feels now right? a lot of damage in my wallet) . I went to this location with a small hope thinking lets give a shot somewhere outside. To my luck, they fixed the problem. I did not have to change it. They upgraded my mac and its working normal. literally saved me. Very Economic !! Thank You Mani.

My laptop blanked out on me first no reason. I called this place and asked if I could bring my laptop in. When I got there I explained to them that I was not from this state and was here working and needed my laptop to work. The price they quoted me was very reasonable for the diagnostic. After doing the diagnostic, they let me know what it would cost to repair my laptop. None of my information was lost. They made sure they backed the data up. Brilliant. My computer works a little better than it did before. The attendant who took care of me had extremely good energy. She was concerned my issues and made me feel like it was important for them to help me with my dilemma and didnt make me feel like it was all about money. She even offered to allow me to charge my laptop until my new charger was delivered. I highly recommend this place of business. Just the customer service alone was top notch. Kudos to them for all that they do. You definitely wont regret choosing them for any of your electronic repair needs.

I called to find out about a few things before going to the shop. I was able to walk in and get my problem (cracked screen- totaled) fixed in 30 minutes - looks like new.Nice to see someone do what they said they can do. Support local business!Highly recommend, easy to find and lots of parking.

I went to take my iMac to get its hard drive upgraded from a HDD to a SSD and I am entirely satisfied. The process was quick and easy. I dropped it off and went to workout right after and it was done by the time I finished my workout. Now my computer is running as smooth as ever!

My sister dropped her HP Pavilion x360 laptop, damaging the power jack port and other internal damage. I brought it in on a Friday, paid for a thorough diagnostic ($139), got a phone call with a quote for the repair on Monday. If they couldnt repair it, then I didnt have to pay for anything else. Do not take your machines here!! I brought in my MacBook Pro because it was no longer turning on, having been been advised by Apple that it was a logic board issue needing replacement. I was seen by Mani, the tech. She repeatedly said “that can’t be it” and “the logic board is the last thing that needs to be replaced. Instead of giving me pricing up front she insisted on running a diagnostic, which at first she estimated 4-6 hours for, and then 24 hours, and then said “maybe it will even take 48 hours”. Nevertheless, I dropped my laptop off with Mani. A few days later, she called me back only to tell me “oh yeah it’s the logic board”. During our next conversation, she tried to offer me an ultrasonic cleaning instead of a replacement. When I tried to clarify my options with her, her responses were rude and confusing. After all the back and forth, I became suspicious and chose not to move forward with ANY repair, picked up my computer immediately to take it elsewhere.The tech at the next place took one look inside and noted several screws were missing and my hard drive, which was NOT damaged previously, had been connected in the wrong place, thereby rendering it unreadable. Now I have to get not only my motherboard, but also the hard drive repaired, all because of Mani’s poor technique and knowledge, not to mention lack of communication skills. Hoping everyone else can learn from my mistake, would highly warn against going here!

Waste of time and money. I was consistently reassured that my water damage would be fixable. I paid $200 for my laptop to sit and dry overnight and it does not work. I feel like I was taken advantage of and lied to had I known I would not have left my laptop there.

Went in for a fix on my Macbook Air that wouldnt charge.
