Hate the usps in Matthews even though its like 3 min from my house, Id much rather drive 10-15 min to this one. TIM IS SO NICE AND FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND PATIENCE WITH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Not sure the name of the guy that helped me today 04/13/21 9.30 am, was amazing, very first time going to the post office was less frustrating cause he guided me through the whole process... game me better options to save on my package...was a good experience, place was clean and very welcomy...

I come into USPS 4-5 a week and receive SO MUCH ATTITUDE from two of the associates. Very inappropriate and really puts a damper on my day every time.TIM IS THE MAN. If I could have him every time I would have never felt like I needed to leave such a bad review. Tim is the perfect example of great customer service and is always willing to go out of his way to help.

Go here if you want RUDE, NASTY people working for you. Now I know government employees get paid to be rude and nasty to customers, but really?? Guess no one was raised with manners ....Colleen is the most awful postal service worker Ive ever encountered.IF YOU WANT YOUR MAIL LOST AND ATTITUDE FROM COLLEEN THEN GO HERE. Colleen is the most childish post master. She is able to be rude to you, but you better not be rude to her. All around, wish I could give them zero stars.

They lied to me about an insurance claim. Told me I had to do it online, that was a lie. I went to the post office in Matthews and they took care of it for me quickly.

My mother, my sister, and I went to this post office today to mail some of my dad’s ashes to my brother and to a friend to make a piece of jewelry for my sister as a keepsake of my dad. While waiting in line for our turn, we heard the banter between the two associates regarding the mailing of my fathers ashes. The woman working jokingly said aloud to her co-worker, “oh they’re probably mailing the remains of a pet bird to members of their family.” I was appalled. I was floored. I was fuming as I waited for our turn. This was an incredibly rude and insensitive comment to make as i was in fact not mailing a pet’s remains (even if I was, is that something to joke about?). i did not appreciate the fact that such a tasteless joke was made about my deceased father, aloud, in front of other patrons in the post-office. You would think as “professionals” handling other sensitive mementos and keepsakes, the employees would maintain a sense of sensitivity, but not at this location. They treated my father’s ashes as a joke, like it was just another piece of mail. I was very upset for the rest of the day about this experience at this post office. Clearly, these employees would benefit from some further trainings on customer service and professionalism. I still can’t believe the behavior I witnessed from adults at this place. Unreal. To the employee who made this joke, I want you to know how classless it was. I do not appreciate my father being the butt of your joke. You are twice my age and jokes about a deceased family member are never appropriate.

The only thing I needed to do was a change of address. I h ad them look over the paperwork, they said it was fine.. this was easy, good luck. I got to my sons home in AZ and I had my change of address mail there . All my mail is going to my old address and or cant be delivered. What in the world.. Ive tried to call this post office for an hour... busy.. what in the world... And these employees consider themselves under paid, really? I will never step foot in another post office

Terrible experience! Spent $62 dollars to ship a package and it needed tape on one side. They wanted to charge me $5 to put about 6 inches worth of tape on there. They refused to let me just use some tape. I left the post office to go buy my own tape then when I came back they decided that my package weighed too much and wanted in an additional $34. Save yourself some time and go to a professional. Use FedEx or UPS

Let me start off with saying that I never take the time to write reviews, however, my experience was so bad that I feel the need to warn people. I was not home when a package was delivered so I went to the post office location that was written on the back of the post card that was left stuck to my front door. The information left clearly stated that I could pick it up at the Indian Trail location or call to reschedule a delivery. After fighting through traffic, I finally arrived at the Indian Trail location to pick up my package around 4:45 PM. I also needed to send out a package, and I was the last person in line. The post office was extremely disorganized. I needed to buy an envelope to mail my item out in, but there were no pens available on the table to fill out the address. When I got up to inquire about both my package and the envelope I was using, I met a very miserable person. This individual should not in any way be working in customer service or attempting to help anyone in anyway. He proceeded to yell that my package was at the Monroe location. I am not sure why he was so angry about this; it wasnt him that had been misinformed and inconvenienced. When I asked him what could be done, he got an attitude with me that I was going to have to come pick it up tomorrow. He didnt mention anything about the possibility of rescheduling a delivery because he wasnt interested in helping anyone. I then switched topics to what I wanted to mail out. Before I could inquire about the envelope, he yelled at me to get back in line (there was no line) and fill out the front of the envelope and then come back. He would not answer questions about the envelope I was using or what type of delivery I wanted. I literally took 4 steps back to the table and rummaged around my purse to finally find a pen and filled out the information only to wait for him to get done talking about how much he hated his job. Literally, I heard him say he would have been retired by now if he hadnt gotten injured in the military. He said this probably 5 times. This is not a way to treat people. I went to the post office expecting to be helped, and received horrible treatment. I was reminded of why I use UPS.

Friendly staff, but they failed to input the shipping information correctly. The town was entered, but no street address. Tell me, how does it make sense to ship a package without a full address? Now my package is in USPS purgatory, which can take up to 21 days to be returned. On top of that, I am not even entitled to a refund since they tried everything in their power to ship the package. But thats what we pay for, right? They dont have to get it right, just as long as they put in some effort. That is the last time I will use USPS for shipping packages.

When family comes in stressed .. if they ran the PO out west this way theyd be run out of town. The post master or whoever she is, is rude to customers and more rude to her employees. This is not a fluke either, because I have family that experiences this day in and day out from her. Nothing short of unacceptable!

Always get a busy signal when I call, sounds like carriers for the Indian Trail area operate out of the Monroe office. Also sounds like this office will close in the next several years, good riddance.Tried a second number, 821-4866. This number rings but still no one home.

I have been using this post office for two years now and I will say this has to be one of the best locations and staff Ive ever met. I have never had one issue and I ship tons of parcels daily.

Have used this post office for many years, and have never had any problems with my mail or packages being delivered. They probably are understaffed at times, because i see long lines in there somewhat frequently.However, Ive witnessed on several occasions, and again recently, that people go in there absolutely clueless about how to mail a package, and ignorant of how much it actually costs to mail one. Instead of being grateful for assistance, they rather complain, ask stupid questions, and slow down the process for everybody else.At the end of the day people, these guys dont write the procedures, and they dont control the costs of USPS services.Considering what these guys deal with day in and day out, they are very good at what they do.

I recieved 2 notices for a letter I was supposed to sign for. On the final notice I sat in my living room and watched the mailman fill out the sorry we missed ya form, stick it in my mailbox and drove away, he did not get out of his car or even attempt to deliver the letter. Pure laziness. When I tried to call, all I got was a busy tone. What a worthless business. I just had surgery so its not like I can drive to pick up the letter either. Thanks for nothing Indian Trail post office.

This place is horrible. Absolutely disgraceful between them and the Monroe annex, they wouldnt know the difference between a sneeze and a wet fart. To put it lightly, a two ring circus would be better ran by a premature infant. Dont bother trying to call they wont answer.

I came here about 5 times to get my money back from the mail that they lost and all they tell me is I need to go online and nothing else. They dont even try to help me with tracking down the package. Dont go here if you dont want your package or mail youre sending to be lost!!!

We dropped off 4 boxes at one time with prepaid label, 3 were delivered and one is missing. The office denied receiving the box and blame us just leaving the boxes near the counter as each box is almost 70 LBs. Cant believe how suc big box will disappear. They told us to call consumer affair line for investigation which is like a joke as the line is never answered, and you can leave voicemail, but nobody calls you back. We loss hundreds of dollars by trusting USPS when we were told to just leave the boxes there. Lesson learned, do not trust USPS as none of them will take responsibility. If you are sending valuable item, make sure you get receipt, never leave it to them.

These guys obviously hate their job and hate life as a result. They are short with you to an extent of seeming rude. It took me 3 visits to ship a package because they refused to tape it up for me even though I saw their packing tape behind the counter. They pointed at the wall and suggested I buy a roll of tape instead. While I was there another woman also got very upset at their attitude and walked out. If it werent for having to ship a package to China as cheap as possible I would have been (and usually always am) a loyal UPS customer.

Damaged two keyboards shoving them into mailbox too small to avoid coming to house. Also Lea es large packages ON porch with ppl home and does not ring or knock to notify, then states given to individual. Worst service ever! Called numerous times before calling Raleigh, still lazy jacka$$es!
