I was nervous using a company that came knocking on my door, however Sunny Alexander (Project Manager) was very professional and took his time to explain what was needed and how the process worked. He even worked with my insurance company to make sure that everything that needed to get done, would get done. JG Contracting made sure that everything was done in a timely manner and done correctly. Its so hard to know who to trust anymore these days, but I had a very pleasant experience with this company and I would recommend them to anyone. New roof, new gutters, replace some rotten wood on the deck and fence and then stain both the deck and fence. Thanks.

I had JG Contracting replace all 18 of the windows in my home with their Vinylmax energy efficient windows. They worked fast, were very professional and thorough. The aluminum wrap around the windows on the exterior looks great and will keep us from ever having to fix any wood rot around the windows. They also replaced a patio door and did a fantastic job on that. They left our home and premises clean and just the way they found it. Just as impressive was that I got a visit from the owner, Joe Grntle because he wanted to personally follow up and see the job his crew did. Wish I had thought to snap some before photos so people could see the vast difference between what we had and what JG Contracting installed. As it is, I have included a couple of after photos. I highly recommend Joe and his team at JG Contracting!

I had my roof and guttering done about 2 years ago with JG Contracting. It was a pleasure doing business with them as they made it so easy for me. They talked and handled all details with the insurance company in a timely manner so I could get my roof and guttering done. The people who worked on my home were all nice and did a great job. They made sure to cover a big fountain I have in my front yard and were very mindful of the flowers and plants in my yard too. After all was completed they cleaned up all debris and rolled a huge magnet around everywhere to make sure no nails were left in my yard or driveway. I was so pleased with the service I had received I have since had them back. I have been working with Jim Kisner who has been very helpful as I needed to replace some windows. Now he is helping me again as I needing to replace a back French door. Jim has done a great job overseeing the projects done in my home and I appreciate the time and effort he has given me.Thank you so much JG Contracting for all the great work you have done so far and will be doing for me soon and in the future.

I used them to fix water leakage problem I had with my roof. Mr. Gentle was fast, responsive, and professional. He actually sent his people to my house on a holiday, when no one else would help me. So I very much appreciated it, and the work done was fantastic. If you have roof problems or issues, these are the guys you need to call.

I hate writing negative reviews but Icannot recommend this company to anyone.The work was done in a timely manner. Butafter the first rainstorm there was a leak and after repeated callsand messages left at their office I was never contacted back untilthere was extensive damage. The company sent anemployee out finally named Jim Kisner. He blamed the leak on squirrelschewing on my shingles and said it was not covered under any warranty.I agreed only because I wanted him off my property because he wouldnt stop staring at my granddaughter. It was very uncomfortable. She is 12 years old. I still have damage to my ceiling that needs repaired but I am disabled and am on a fixed income. I do not want any further contact by this company. I hope your experience is better than mine was.Have a blessed day

After Matt from JG told me to expect work on my roof to start around 9, the crew showed up and was tearing my roof apart by 6:45 AM. When I got home from work that afternoon, there were old nails and sharp strips of sheet metal all over the property, including a gnarly piece of metal stuck in our dogs paw.The roofers trampled a flower bed they could easily have avoided and even set up a generator and a ladder directly on top of plants in the garden. They broke the side mirror on my truck tossing debris carelessly. Four weeks later Im still finding roofing nails lying around.I called Matt while the roofers were still on site, but didnt reach him and never heard another word from him. He was real responsive beforehand, when he needed my approval for the company to get paid, but not once the work was underway. A week or so later, a woman from JG called to see if the work was completed to my satisfaction. I told her what had happened; apparently Matt hadnt bothered to report my complaint to anyone at the ol HQ. She said she was sorry, which was a step in the right direction, but words are cheap, and nobody from JG ever came by to see what I was talking about -- even though theyve been all over my block for the last month -- much less offer to replace the plants they ruined.

Over the past 4 years we have hired JG Contracting on several projects in our home including installing new garage doors , patio doors , windows, guttering and interior doors. We have always been very happy with their quality of work, professionalism and competitive pricing.

We are very happy with the work JG did on our roof. Billy was outstanding from the day he came out and inspected the roof, meet with our insurance adjustor, and even stopped by the day roof was put up. Roofing crew were efficient, professional and courteous. We highly recommended JG!

The work is complete, but not from lack of issues the ENTIRE way.Wrong color roof, employees smashing our gutters, some of the workers almost hit one of my clients in the head with a shingles as she was leaving my home. ZERO communication and follow up. We had to call them to pay them, we had to call and complain multiple times about some wood rot, gutter issue and then ultimately the wrong color on the roof. That is when they finally decided to fix it. Yes they gave us a deal by not making us pay for gutters. And they also didnt make us pay for the back portion of our house (mind you we didnt ask them to do it, they did it by mistake.) Ultimately is the roof on? Do we have new gutters? Yes. But was it done correctly the first time? Nope. So I do not recommend this company unless you dont mind a long drawn out deal.

JG Contracting LLC - Randie Woods - Weve used them a couple of times and the experience was great in both cases. Randie was there to do the work not later than the next day and I couldnt be happier with the work, the attention to detail, and the promptness of the service.When Randie was out for the first job a couple of years ago, she even let us know about a problem with the siding that we didnt know about when she came over to look at the roof! Thats above and beyond for sure. She was honest about the condition of the roof and took time to explain what was going on with it.I would definitely recommend the company and Randie!

We were selling our house and needed to get a new roof on fast and they were able to respond quickly to my needs and they contacted my insurance company to get the work approved by them so that I only had to pay my deductible. They were able to complete the job prior to closing to meet my needs and they provided a warranty for the new owner. Fast and friendly service and listened to my needs and worked to exceed my expectations. The yard was clear of any debris once they completed the work.

Insurance adjusters will do anything they can to avoid paying for a new roof. When JG looked at my roof, they met the insurance adjuster at my house, personally walked the roof showing them the damage, and got my entire roof replace by the insurance company. Without JG, this wouldnt have happened. The quality of work on my new roof was top notch, and they stood by their word with everything we asked for. JG will get all my future business.

Joe Gentle and his staff were easy to work with and always seemed to have me, the customer, in mind. They worked well with the insurance adjustor to point out damaged areas. The communication about scheduling our service was always open and accurate. They had the perfect selection of top-quality material in roofing, gutters, downspouts and gutter shields. I was SO GLAD we chose J G Contracting and will consider their services for future home improvements.

Im so regret that I used this company. The contract started in March, and its December now and it has not been finalized yet. I understand that you guys busy during storm season, but it has been six months, you guys keep postpone my project. I called John, who suppose to be the manager of the project, he said he no longer with the company. Then I called Mike, same answer, called Nick, he no longer the employee either. Whats going on? You took my 10k+ paycheck and after 6 months, it still hasnt done. This is unacceptable, do not use this company

Overall went great cant really complain as ripping off a roof and gutters can cause a mess. But i will say they got it done in the time quoted and before i knew it, i blinked, and they had it clean and i could hardley tell that they were there. Mike was my project manager and was knowledgeable about the product and proccess plus he even helped cleaning up afterwards. A couople minor things happened but really wasnt an issue he jumoed on each issue and resolved them quickly. I would definitely recomend Mike and JG Contracting. Thanks again for making it easy for me!

May 9, 2018Dear Joe and J&G Contracting:First, since I wrote more than I anticipated – my wife and I are strongly recommending J & G Contracting for roof and home repairs. They do quality work and guarantee their work and products.As many in the KC Northland remember, in November of 2016 we had a pretty severe hail storm. We didn’t have our roof checked right away but when a neighbor had J & G check theirs I asked one of their service reps, Wyatt, to check ours. The neighbor, by the way, had J & G replace their roof. Wyatt came over the same afternoon and checked our roof and found it to be badly damaged. The damage was not seen from the ground and only by placing a finger in the hail damaged spot could one tell. After climbing and walking all over our roof Wyatt called our insurance company and made the claim for us. Our insurance adjuster called a couple days later and we were last on the list, but if we agreed to a Sunday afternoon he could squeeze us in. Wyatt wanted to be with the adjuster and when I called him he was willing to come Sunday afternoon as well. Wyatt walked the roof again with the adjuster and pointed out what he had seen previously and maximized our insurance coverage. The beautiful roof was replaced in Feb. 2017.Fast forward to April 2018; we (my wife) spotted a sagging low spot beneath our sky light. We weren’t sure what it was so, we called J & G Contracting to check it out. They inspected it and discovered that the sky light and structure around it were not anchored correctly when it was installed. Even though it wasn’t something that they did not directly damage, they were apologetic that they hadn’t caught the problem before or during the re-shingling of the roof. Joe and team at J & G Contracting said they would support around the sky light and raise the dip in our roof.Today, May 9, 2018, a couple able bodied men, Dennis and Jim, came and did the fix; and at no charge. They told us that they want their customers to be satisfied with their work. Wow, we are very satisfied and appreciative. Very disappointed in the ability to communicate and organize tasks. The attention to details was frustrating. The quality of the work overall was satisfactory. But the other issues outweighed that.Update. JG has worked with us on the issues we had. They have assured us that changes have been made to become better. We appreciate their desire to be great at what they do and showing resolve when things dont go right. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Initially had some communication issues, once work was started, went quickly. Management worked well with us to resolve issues. Looks good and satisfied with job.

This review is not based on the quality of their work. I cannot recommend this company due to their lack of basic customer service and my time that they wasted. I met with two of their employees on two separate occasions. One was supposed to come back and inspect the roof. Never came back. The other was supposed to provide a bid on a large project by a certain date. Never happened. I was in contact with both of them and kept getting guarantees that they would do what they said. I even expressed that I would understand if they are too busy or just not interested in the work. I just didnt want to be strung along. Well a couple hours of my wasted time with this company got me no where. Apparently there are a lot of contractors around that dont know how to treat potential customers. They must not want work.

A friend of mine had her roof replaced by JG, Randie Woods was the project manager and helped her call in a claim after identifing storm damage. She came to my home and told me that my roof looked like it was in o.k. shape other than a few hail hit spots, but i shouldnt call in a claim just yet, her honesty was refreshing. She was professional, to the point and honest . i will contact her the next time server weather comes through, and have her come out and check again!
