Ive been sending my car(s) to Midwest Motor Works for almost three years and I cant thank Bob and his staff enough for repairing/maintaining both my cars. From oil changes to valve covers theyve done an exceptional job working on both my BMWs. Bob and his staff are very knowledgeable and professional with answering questions and explaining issues about your vehicle. The labor cost is much more affordable than the other shops in the general area that work on European cars if youre looking to repair an Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW, or Volvo. Bob will also offer Aftermarket parts in some cases compared to the OEM parts (This can vary based on the vehicle and the part that needs to be replaced). The most memorable service I had was when my serpentine belt snapped when I pulled into my office in Eden Prairie. I was forced to call AAA to tow my car. I called and left a voicemail since they already closed at 6:00 PM. I got the car dropped off and called Midwest the next day to check if there was any more issues. Blake answered and said they already put in a new belt and it was all good to go. I was left speechless and went to pick up my car before heading to work. I have nothing negative to say since Ive always had great service here!!!

When my mom went here I rated it 5 stars. Now that my son has had his car in for 1 week, I cannot in good conscience give them any more than 1 star. My son was told that it would take a couple of days and that they would call him when it was done. They have now had his car for a week and not once did they call to update him. They only info we get is when we call. All they say is that it will be done soon and that they will call. They seemed annoyed when We called for updates. We understand that sometimes things are harder and more complicated than they seem initially. Had they just kept us updated, we would have been fine. I have a problem with the lack of communication. Its a lack of respect for their customer. I know the owner is a great guy, but they need to work on their communication skills.

100% would bring my car back to MM. Specifically was helped by Brandon and Blake. They were very attentive, worked very quickly to diagnose and solve my issue, as well as providing top notch customer service along the way. I hope these employees are being appreciated as they very much have influenced my decision to write this review and potentially return.

Ever since I got into the modding my VE Beetles, anytime I didnt have the knowledge, or special tools, Id go to Bob Cook and gang, and have them perform the job. When I got my *(new to me), 2013 beetle turbo, and, started modding it, a few issues came up. Bob and crew were there for me.Besides the fact that they know their stuff, Bob is also a dealer for MOST of the vw/audi aftermarket companies, and, can give u better prices on parts then alot of the actual companies do.Plus they can do the installs for you.I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Midwest Motorworks.Great prices, friendly/knowledgeable staff.

I took my 2015 Audi A3 here for a routine 35K mile service (DSG flush, oil change, etc). First and foremost, the prices are well below what Audi was going to charge me. If you dont need a rental or someone to wash your car for you, skip the dealership and come here. I met Bob and some of his crew and they were down to earth, intelligent and polite. Moreover, I took my car in a little early for an oil change, and Bob called to make sure I wanted to go through with it. What does this tell me? They are in the business to fix what you NEED, not what they can get away with charging. Coming from a businessman myself, Im super excited to know that there are good and honest people out there that are truly passionate about what they do. Needless to say, I will return to Midwest Motorworks in the future. I advise you do the same!

Bob and his crew are master mechanics here. I was struggling to get a vacuum leak correctly diagnosed for two weeks, two other shops in minnesota had no idea what was going on and wanted to just throw parts at my car. I bring it in to Bob today, and get a call back within hours with the solution. Unbeatable service. Just make sure to schedule ahead of time.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They lied about what was wrong with my car because the mechanic wanted it. Told us over 5000$ to fix & wouldnt tell us exactly what was wrong with it. We never received any paperwork as to what they actually did look at. He tried keeping a brand new key to that I paid 161$ for. Told me it was worthless & no good to me. I told him I wasnt giving away a 161$ key. Shame on them for taking advantage of us when we were down & out. Never trust anyone. To the mechanic, you called us about 15 mins after our car was towed there. There is no possible way you did all that to that car. And when we talked to you in person, you would not give us a straight honest answer what was wrong with the car. You said I think this is whats wrong, but you werent for sure what was wrong. When we came back to give the title, he did not have me date it or put how much $ he gave us for it on the title. So the title was not done correctly, because he said he didnt know what he was going to do with the car.

Been going to Bob for about three years. He has pointed out things to me that I didnt know where happening (like a bulging tire) and has been honest with me when I think things are wrong when they arent (like a brake pad that was perfectly fine which he could have simply swapped out but didnt). Bob and his team not only know their stuff and get your service just right, but they show you whats going on. Any time Ive had pieces replaced they have shown me either on the car itself or taken it off and brought it to me to show me what it should look like and what it does look like. Ive gone NOWHERE else...even for oil changes. Real deal.

I have been bringing my Audis and Volkswagens to Midwest Moterworks for years. They have always been honest and upfront with me about what repairs and maintenance I need and what I dont. I hate to be stereotyped as the female that doesnt know about cars, but lets face it I am. I know I can bring my car to Bob and his team and they will not take advantage of my lack of knowledge.

These guys are the best! Bob and his crew have the knowledge and expertise to get your vehicle back in action quickly and reasonably priced. My daughter took her Jetta to a shop in the twin cities, as that is where she lives, and got an estimate of close to $1000. It was obvious the other shop did their repairs by simply just removing and replacing all different parts until they figured out what was wrong, replacing items that were still good. We didnt have them proceed and decided to get the car over to MidWest Motorworks to the team that knows these vehicles. None of the items that the other shop suggested needed replacing and $50 later Bob and crew had her up and running. Hats off to these guys, great place and you will never be disappointed!!

Its hard to find a VW that is honest, does good work and has the knowledge Bob and his staff does. After letting them know the symptoms that were going on with my 02 Jetta TDI on the phone they already had a pretty good idea of what the issue would be. Theyve just gained all of my future business.

Bob and his crew are great. Ive been going to him for 2 years and I wont go anywhere else for my 2002 VW Passat and my 2004 VW Jetta TDI. I drive a half hour from the Twin Cities to get there but its well worth it. Non-VW experts will try to replace every daggone part and sensor under your hood until its fixed (maybe), but this place knows what exactly to do so you save a ton of money.
