I got a spartan mower and this thing blows the Chinese sell out ex mark out of the water! Hands down! This thing is a true made in america mower, built right. not the fake assembled Chinese parts in america you see elsewhere on the big name brands. Great shop too! Family has been coming here for parts and service for a long time and will continue to do so. Local business with great people, cant go wrong.

Ive been taking my air tools and compressors to rick and John for over 15 years. Very confident and satisfied with their workmanship. A old school business built on Christian values and integrity.

Terrible experience. Do not use this business! We left them our Stihl saw with a $75 bench fee. We were supposed to get a phone call with estimate and a refund if it cannot be repaired. We did not get a call. They put a minor part in carb. This did not fix the issue so they wanted to do a $175 test. We declined to do this. When we went to pick up the saw it had been completely dismantled....a total of some twenty gears, sprockets and miscellaneous parts. A lot more than necessary. The engine itself was partly disassembled. All of this done with no authorization and no communication. Worse, they would not reassemble unless we gave them an additional $75. Stay away from this place. They value a few dollars a lot more than their reputation and customer satisfaction. All they had to do was evaluate the unit and call us but instead they decided to nail down the bench fee and then see how much more they could scam from us. Go to a reputable dealer like Weingartz instead.

One of Howells best kept secrets! This is a great repair shop. They are locally owned by daddy-daughter duo Rick and Amy. I love their open communication about the repairs Ive needed for my mowers. I just found out they do generators, too. They have been very honest and earned my return business. Top notch work done. Friendly service. Easy to work with. Trustworthy. I highly recommend them. Even when theyre booked, its worth the wait because of the quality service.

I chose R&A because of the positive Google reviews. I prefer supporting small local businesses, especially during these COVID times, but in this case, three strikes and theyre out. I dropped off a week whacker I assumed was having carb problems.Strike 1- I was told I would receive a phone call with an estimate of anything over the $35 initial bench fee. That call never came- just a call saying it was done and I owed $90.Strike 2- I got the trimmer home, and it still stalled at idle. I took it back. No apology was given, and they told me to take it around back where a guy simply turned the carb screw to have it idle higher. I could have done that without making the trip. Now it simply idles high instead of stalling. I view that as a bandaid, not a fix.Strike 3- Fuel lines were replaced, and the return line from the primer bulb back to the tank kept popping out of the tank spilling fuel all over my lawn and my clothing. I took it back a second time. Again, no apology was given, and again I was told to take it around back where the proper diameter fuel lines would be installed.Im not a small business owner, but if I were, minimally I would apologize. Secondly I would not make the customer take the item around back to hunt down the tech for correct repairs. Lastly, I would do whatever necessary to make the situation right in order to gain future business. Based on all the positive Google reviews, I hope my case is an anomaly.
