The Moxie Studio is my go to in Howell. Everyone is very professional and very inviting. I’ve had multiple providers for different services and it doesn’t matter who you get they’re all amazing and so easy to work with. The environment they create is great, and every experience I’ve had is amazing.

I had my first-ever Brazilian wax last night with Julia and despite the obvious discomfort thats going to come from having hair ripped from your body (fun!), it couldnt have been better. Not only was she thorough and personable, but she made me feel at ease throughout -- no small task since, again, you know, the hair ripping out part. The studio is super adorable, easy to access and very clean. Id also add for anyone reading this who isnt a size 4 and worried about exposing yourself to someone for the service (which I was; Im a size 12) -- dont give it a second thought. Julia (and Im assuming the entire staff given how lovely they were in my interaction with them), was nothing but gracious and lovely. Didnt cross my mind once I dropped trou. :) Ill def be back for this and other services with Julia and/or the team. What a little gem in downtown Howell!

Ive been there twice now, once for a leg waxing a couple years back, and more recently for a facial waxing with Julia and a massage with Ashley. Each service was fantastic; they were attentive, professional and did an amazing job. Theyre also all highly knowledgeable in their field. I cant imagine receiving bad service here.Also, if youve never been here before, theres a good sized parking lot in the back of the 204 building if parallel parking isnt your thing. Its also handicap accessible since the back door opens to the bottom floor where the studio is.

Moved to the area summer 2020 from Royal Oak. So happy to have discovered The Moxie Studio and especially Ashley for my monthly massages! She’s great as a massage therapist, which is key, but also extremely personable and welcoming which has been great. Looking to try more services in 2021.

Moxie Studio hires very friendly people. From the receptionist to the Moxie professional team, who are all there to serve their customers needs in a very relaxing environment. This place is incredible! So clean and such a cute spot. A little hard to find because it is in a shared building, I had a wax, and Julia was amazing! So welcoming and helpful. Amazing experience! Such a clean, comforting, and relaxing atmosphere! I had my first facial by Erin and it was so calming, and refreshing. My skin has never felt so clean and smooth! I was really unsure about going for the 90-minute facial, due to how long and expensive (to me) it was. I decided to pamper myself after talking with the receptionist, and THANK GOODNESS! THIS. WAS. AMAZING!Not only do they have scheduling online, they had a same day appointment for me. Julia was fantastic. I felt relaxed, cared for, and pampered.I also really appreciated the samples of all the products they used on me.I truly enjoyed my experience. Spa treatments are experiences for me. Amazing massage and facial!If you have never been you need to see Faith-The Healer massage therapist extraordinaire! Truly heals you from inside out! I was pleasantly surprised as She used the perfect amount of pressure and checked in with me periodically but not too much (I like little convo) and was in total relaxation mode. She asked questions prior to start and was thorough, used amazing oils and bed was warm, cozy and the studio is spotlessly clean, another huge plus!I know that 1 hour goes quick So next time I will be getting 90 minutes for sure!Faith is incredible and her massages are fantasticThank you again!I also was able to get a facial as well and was treated like royalty! Erin has excellent services! I always come out of her studio feeling, refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated! Her knowledge is amazing and her studio is always very clean. Had a GREAT massage with Faith. Ive had other massages elsewhere, but never left feeling as though they really worked on my problem areas to fix them. Her pressure was deep and steady but very relaxing. I got off her table and for the first time in months, I was able to turn my head without pain! The place is impeccably clean, the prices are reasonable and the whole experience from walking in the front door to walking out was terrific. A hidden gem in downtown Howell!

Moxie Studio is THE place to go for skin care in Livingston County. Prior to my first visit I always wore makeup and felt uncomfortable with bare skin out in public. My first visit with Erin was to have my over waxed, over plucked eyebrows shaped. Erin completely changed the way my eyes look with her advice and expertise on brow shape and filler. After this positive experience I booked a facial. Again, the most luxurious and pampered hour I have spent, resulting in glowing skin. Slowly I have begun using the recommended products for my skin and now, I rarely wear any make-up other than mascara and lipstick. My skin looks dewy and nourished. Moxie Studio has my highest recommendation and is the oasis for pampering in Howell.

I received a gift certificate for Mother’s Day for a wonderful massage. I booked my appointment with Ashley and I have not stopped talking about the experience! This was the first massage that I have ever had. Ashley was so professional and kept me involved the whole time. Her touch was amazing and the smell of the oils were intoxicating. I really appreciated that Ashley asked ahead of time if I had used essential oils before and had me choose the ones that I liked. I didn’t have to use any if I didn’t choose to. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the the whole place. Everything was very clean and tidy. The ambiance of the small studio puts you in a calm state as soon as you step inside. Since the second I met Erin I knew I was in the right place. She listens, educates, and treats you with such love during your time together. Ive been seeing Amanda for 2 years now and its made a HUGE difference. If youre looking for a massage that breaks up all those knots, allows for a good alignment and improves your mood GO SEE HER! Seriously, I can tell when its been a month. Im not nice, super tight and stressed and generally grumpy. Yes, I should do more yoga, yes, I should stretch more. At least Amanda can reset me so I can vow to start that yoga routine AGAIN...until life takes over!

Amanda works wonders. She knows how to work out the knots, relax the muscles in my neck, back, and legs. She seems to know just what to do everytime I get a massage. Being one outdoor dude, I am exposed to the sun often. Whether at an outdoor sporting event, in the woods or on the tractor, the sun is shining on me. I have read articles in various men’s and outdoor publications about the effect of the sun (sunny or cloudy days) on my skin. The articles offer multitudes of solutions for protection and remediation but most are confusing to me since I am outdoor dude, not cosmetics dude. So, similar to other topics for which I need more information (like truck restoration questions, etc.) I wasted no more time and spoke to an expert, Erin at Moxie Studio. Yes guys, skin and face maintenance typically has a stigma of being for females only but really it is about cancer prevention, having healthy skin (your body’s largest organ I learned from Erin) and looking good for your significant other.Erin’s shop is small and you are the only one there during the appointment. Erin understands how a guy hates to be in a “studio” and works to accommodate guys through skin and hair removal services such as “Power Hour” and “Got Your Back”, providing a cheat-sheet of steps for maintenance at home while at the same time ensuring your privacy. I am giving Erin a five star review for all of these reasons; expert advice and services, clearly written home care steps (I need it on paper) and overall discreetness. I went to Moxie studio yesterday for the first time to get a facial. It was a great experience from booking on the phone with Ashton and then meeting him and my wonderful esthetician in person. They have wonderful customer service skills which is very important to me. As my twin sister said afterwards, you skin is glowing. It was so relaxing and I appreciate the free goodie bag afterwards. Moxie Studio did a great job on my airbrush tan!! Olivia explained every step throughly and I felt totally comfortable with her throughout the whole process. I didnt look orange at all and after the first rinse several hours later it looked perfectly bronze and natural. My feet and hands turned out great. I will definitely be using them in the future!The also made sure to dry you off after and pat down with a towel so there were no streaks or dripping. She also had me check and asked if I wanted to go darker or not. Then she applied powder so I wasnt sticky at all leaving which no other place has done before! I have been using the spray booths (versa pro and mystic tan) and was losing faith, it always smelled, was orange and blotchy but they reminded me how great an airbrush tan can be and it smelled great! I look forward to going back :)

Ashley always gives the most incredible massages. I come in sometimes with so much back pain and in just one 60 minutes session Ashley has me feeling 10xs better.
