This is an awesome store/chain. I always find interesting things at great prices. I always end up spending about twice what I went for because of good finds.

Did have what I needed in stocks at the Depere store but they looked it up and was able to pick up in Howard store. Great customer service!

Having asked to get the carpet I purchased rolled up the other direction is evidently too difficult of a request. Could have possibly been an oversight on the gentlemans behalf, however it did not seem to appear to him that someone that installed carpet for longer than his has been alive could possibly know more about it than him. The next time Im not asking, Ill re-roll it myself in the parking lot.

Im sorry for your managementof this store in howard. I waited for over a hour for a electric cart only to find out they only had two for this whole large store. no more. Im done with Menards. Kiss my 1000 bucks good by.

Brought a friend here with me because we had a few projects to do in a new home I purchased. Staff was too busy to help. When I did find people, they were not very motivated to answer questions or offer solutions to my issues. Plumbing dept. was terrible, getting help in hardware buying new tools was impossible. And I needed to order windows for my basement, but the guys computer was down, despite there being 3 others he could have used. I voiced my displeasure with Vince, the GM. He offered to help remedy the situation, but by this time I was too upset to want it. I went to Home Depot and spent $1000 on windows, new tools, and other stuff. Get it together Menards, customer service matters.

We always find what we are looking for. Friendly, helpful employees and just a fun place to shop.

There is a radial saw in the yard (look to the right going thru the IN gate) to cut your wood down (or just sized) if need be. Maybe check with OUT gate guard or someone in the lumber yard before doing it. There is also a free tie-down area just outside the gate = if something purchased inside the store need a little twine go back to the lumber yard entrance.When using your Menards rebate card -you also still get a 11% (etc) rebate on that. = You get a 11% rebate on your 11% rebate card purchases (double rebate)The wood piles outside are sometimes better quality than the ones indoors. =Easier to stock the outside ones. =Check both piles for best selection for common woods.

They have many things to choose from. A little of everything.

I went to Menards to get a faucet. I was told I couldnt go in without an mask. I have health issues so legally they cant force me to wear a mask. The lady was really rude to me. So I left and went to Home Depot. I went in without a mask and they were very helpful. I wont go back to Menards.

Disappointed with the staff in paint department this morning, drive 16 miles to get deck stain, 3 behind desk no one walks over to assist, did answer one question but indicated I was doing things improperly, left with no purchase ☹️

Ordered shingles where I was told roof top delivery was available, once my special order arrived at the store I was informed that delivery truck was “broke down” but I could get fork delivery to the eave which I accepted since there was no other option. I was told to have 5 guys on the roof to carry the bundles since there was 110 which I arranged. Apparently the fork truck delivery driver comes from out of the area where I was also told my 4 pm delivery would not likely be available and a time frame of between 10 am and noon was more likely. Again accepted the only option I was provided where I had everyone ready and waiting.... noon comes and goes but around 2 I called to find out what the status was where I was giving information that my shingles were not on the truck yet and I should anticipate between 4-6 pm. 6:30 rolls around where I get a call my shingles are on the truck and it’s broke down. Another call back a little later says the truck is being towed to an unknown repair shop and they would be in touch with me. 630 am I get a call that my shingles are back at Menards and won’t be out on delivery until later that day but I am welcome to come pick up my order which I did since roofers are arriving at 7 am, I managed to wrangle up a Skidsteer double handle 110 bundles of shingles with 3 guys. So I called Menards and the manager told me.... there’s nothing we can do for your inconvenience. But we can refund your delivery fee. Needless to say I will avoid Menards for future purchases. After this experience I have shopped around town much more finding that they are price gouging quite often so watch your pennies and shop smart.#poor management

Very friendly environment. Employees always willing to help and great prices on all the inventory. I suggest stopping at your local Menards for all your home repair.

This the place I got to when I have a home project. They have pretty large selection of product(very rarely do they not have what I am looking for) and price are reasonable, the store is always clean, well kept and the staff is very helpful. The only complaint I have is from last year when we had severe storms and tornado warnings suddenly and it obvious no one in the store knew what procedure to follow and didnt move anyone to a weather shelter instead went to the front entrances to watch the storm. Keep an out for 11% rebate to get the best deals and bring a mask as it is required right now

I go in with a plan, and EVERY time, I find myself looking at stuff I wasnt even thinking about when I walked in.The prices are always right, and theres nearly always an 11% rebate to sweeten the deal. Helpful and knowledgeable staff is always a plus, too.UPDATE 9/2021:And then there was COVID-19. I kind of understood when they jacked up their prices on rubber gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, bleach, toilet paper and other items that nearly every other store ran out of every day. I understand supply and demand. I also believe in reasonable limitations, so when a bottle of generic bleach was priced above $10, I was more than disapproving.Lumber prices also climbed considerably, but I overlooked that knowing the prices didnt stay the same anywhere else, either. They were, however, considerably more expensive than other stores, even though they were carrying an inferior product. And of course, when everyone elses prices plummeted, Menards held steady at ridiculously high prices for lumber and wood products for as long as they possibly could.But that 11%, Mike!! Yeah, I like the 11% rebate. I dont like waiting 6 months for an in-store credit, though, especially when the 11% rebate doesnt bring the price down far enough to be comparable to their competitors. Not to mention, and maybe this is news to anyone reading this, if you Google 11% rebate Home Depot, the first or second hit is the spot on the Home Depot website where you can enter your receipt information and they will refund you 11% of your purchase on a gift card, which you will receive generally within 45 days. So, get better product quality, pay less at the register, AND get the 11% off to boot?? No brainer.Bye, Menards. Its been real and sometimes its been fun, but it aint been real fun.

The store was clean. And the customer service was great. However we were extremely disappointed in the wood. We went thru the entire pile of 2x4s sizes 6,8,12, and 14 just to find the 30 pieces we needed. The gentleman in the same area was having the same issue henceforth the 3 star rating.

Bought & paid for item online. Got notification item arrived at store. Store lost item. Offered refund. Took refund.however now no product for planned project. Special orders take time.

2 electric carts not enough

Friendly staff, found what I was looking for after checking on the web site to see what they carried. I purchased an air purifier like the one Ive had for over 10 years. The design is a bit different but picked that one because it has permanent filters just like my old one. Old one still working but needed another for an additional room. Plus I got 11% rewards so Ill use that on another item.

Menard’s garden selection leaves much to be desired, very small selection and don’t look like they’ve been watered in a long time. A lot of plants look like they’re dying or in rough shape. Definitely not the same selection as in years past.

I was frustrated because I could not find what I wanted. I stopped an employee and asked her. She was nice enough to look it up for me and show me where it was! Thank you! My cashier was also nice and friendly!

Dale in plumbing was extremely helpful. He got us everything we needed to get our job done!

Called one day looking for help with the rental items. I was transferred all over the store until finally a pleasant lady named Miranda helped me. She answered my questions promptly and knew what she was talking about. I needed scaffolding for a painting project and was happy that they had it available. Would highly recommend this store as the rental experience went well.

They seem to carry just about everything that you would need if doing a project around the house. Prices are about right too.

Absolutely terrible! Asked a employee in plumbing where softener salt was and instead of saying he did know he just started walking around looking? Then he just walked away from me ! I stopped him and asked if he was still looking for the salt because I was following him and he said no he wasnt!! And I asked him why he would just walk away from a customer and he just said he dont know ! There Service has been getting worse and worse

People in the store very helpful. Pick up in the back another story. Guy at the gate didnt acknowledge us in anyway. Not even a hello. Didnt tell us where to go. Had to figure it out ourselves. No one outside to help us. This area definitely needs a customer service review.

Menards is one of my favorite stores as a man. If you know the layout of one store you can walk into any store and know right where an item is as all stores have the same layout.One down fall is returns. Menards makes customers go to the kiosk and find a receipt. Unlike some of its competitors who can simply scan the card you used for the purchase and then the item you want to return.Overall Menards is a quality store offering great deals.

Some good deals, very clean, spacious, and good selection

I enjoy shopping here and what the store has to offer, however one has to be very self sufficient knowing exactly what you need when shopping in the Hardware, and Outdoor items such as fencing, building area. Many employees around but cannot get someone to help you, they pretty much go a different direction when one approaches them. When the store opened at their new location, everyone was so friendly and employees throughout the store would greet you!

Menards do not care about handicapped people in their store do not make it easy . Not enough scooters and charge

It would be nice to see a larger selection of angle grinders. But I rarely fail to find what Im looking for.

Went with a buddy to navigate for his 18 wheeler hauling a flat bed of custom order lumber, should have only taken 1 hour to unload, but took 3 hours from entering past gates to exiting; good weather but incompant forklift drivers this time. Monday 1 guy unloaded everything in an hour; unsure why 4 guys took 3 hours today. This is not how a business should be run, no matter how bright & shiny the show floor is or clean the bathrooms are, nor friendly the sales folks are, customer service isnt all there is in a functional business.

I went in looking for help on a product that i could use to keep a sun visor upright in my carno one that i asked was interested in helping me find a solutionps i asked about 3 or 4 different peoplei ended up buying more then i might have needed and not even sure if i got it right

Extremely rude service. NEVER COMING BACK. Trying to buy things and then the screen prompt said something about the cashier. I asked her what this was for. And the cashier, Karen decided to throw an attitude. Yeah no thank you. Taking my business somewhere else.
