After my homebuilder tried to sell me on a Control4 system, I did some research and realized it was really not the right system for me. I want technology to be invisible, simple, easy to change, and all easy to control and automate on my phone, and I didn’t see the benefit in a Control4 system now that DIY is sophisticated, abundantly available, and easily customizable. When I met JJ, I could tell he understood exactly what I wanted to achieve. He helped me pick the right products, was able to answer all my questions, and set up a system that works exactly like I wanted it to (TVs, ceiling speakers, wi-fi, security cameras, doorbell, and more). It’s all so seamless, and his team was extremely professional and knowledgeable and took the time to make sure I understood how to control everything. I highly recommend Digital Delight, and will definitely call them again if I ever need any more help.

We hired Digital Delight a little over 6 months ago to fix a major problem with an elaborate system that was installed only one year prior by others. Dont I wish that we had discovered DD and JJ Canon prior to that original installation!JJ and his team installed a much more stable platform, at a much better price... And the best part is that they made it simple and seamless to understand and operate. Any issues we have had since that time have only been related to power outages, and in those situations, Digital Delight has easily guided us through the steps to be up and running immediately, without the expense or disruption of service calls. After months of struggling with dropped/slow WIFI and weekly visits from AT&T to diagnose we contacted Digital Delight. JJ visited our home, made some recommendations and provided a detailed quote. We had multiple rooms, patios, pool areas, not to mention several large TVs installed with SONOS systems. JJ and his crew were really great. JJ came out and did a site visit. The company is very professional. They suggest products that give the homeowner control over the programming, so theres no need to be dependent on a consultant or specialist to come and make changes that also cost more money. The installers were also very knowledgeable and taught me how to use the products before leaving. I had one issue with a faulty battery on one of the Ring cameras, and they handled i the replacement efficiently.

The technician was extremely knowledgable and sorted my Sonos system out in a couple of hours, I had been messing with it for weeks, I would definitely recommend this company for any internet related issues. They are on my call list for the next time my internet plays up.

I hired Digital Delight to install an audio system and multiple TVs in my home. The installation was done poorly (poor WiFi reception and Direct TV was not hooked up and other problems). When I asked them to come back out to fix it, they charged me trip charges and other hourly fees even though the work should have been done correctly the first time. Then after a year or so, many of the products failed. They simply stopped working. In one case, I could not even power up the sound system at all. When I called to have them take a look at it, they sent a sales person out a week later, but the person just tried to make a new sale. Instead of doing a diagnostic on the product, they tried to sell me on an entire new system. When I followed up about repair of the other system which was touted as the state of the art, they just kept telling me to buy a new system. Digital Delight does not stand by their product or service. Very unprofessional. I would not use them, even though they appear to be nice people. Its all salesmanship.Dont let them tell you they are providing you the state of the art system because they will tell you its outdated a year later when it fails.There are plenty of other options out there.

JJ and his team are excellent communicators, trustworthy, and extremely professional. They hung one TV inside, one outside (which involved a new electrical outlet being run), installed two soundbars, a subwoofer...everything looks and sounds perfect. They even installed a digital doorbell for me (that also had no power source and involved running a line from my attic). Their visit reminded me of the typical Gallery Furniture experience where they literally dont leave until they are convinced you are completely satisfied. Highly recommend.

Dates of Service:10/23/1310/28/13Positives: The installation crew was on-time and very professional the day of the appointment. The crew did a good job on the install itself and I was happy with the final outcome.Negatives: Due to the sales rep high recommendation, I decided to purchase my receiver through Digital Delight. During installation the receiver malfunctioned so they had to replace it. They ended up being out of stock of this receiver and I was charged more money for an upgraded receiver that I didn’t need. Secondly, when the installation was complete and we(technician and I) were going through the TV features, I asked about watching broadcast channels; come to find out, they removed the EXISTING coaxial connection cord from the wall to insert all of the TV cords. I had to pay $230(minus $90 for parts) for 2 technicians to come out another day and run a coaxial cord through the wall for an antenna. I expressed my annoyance with being charged to install something that was already there to begin with. Their excuse was the project manager asked if I was planning on installing a cable box. I said no, however, I was not made aware that they would pull the coaxial cord completely out of the wall. They also gave an excuse that they have to take time out of their busy schedule to perform this install. The install took less than 30 minutes. If there is an error on the company’s part, they should pay the difference, not the customer.Bottom Line: If you decide to use Digital Delight, be prepared to cough up A LOT of money. Buy your own equipment with the exception of brackets or speaker wire. Their equipment prices are the exact same as retail (Fry’s, Best Buy, Crutchfield etc).

Digital Delight ReviewMy wife and I had to recently upgrade our entertainment system, since our last upgrade 6 years earlier.We had a good experience 6 years ago, when we first met the Digital Delight team. They had installed a Bose Video Wave II system for us and had done a stellar job.When it became necessary for us to upgrade, we decided to call them back to get a quote for the upgrade.We were not disappointed. The owner of Digital, JJ Canon, came and spent as much time needed to answer all my questions on the various options open to us.He then gave the info he had collected to Peter who in turn prepared a couple of different proposal options and emailed them that very same day with the offer to answer any additional questions.My wife and I discussed the options and selected the one best suited to our needs.We signed the online agreement and immediately got a call from Athena in the office to set an appointment to have our new system installed.The date and time were set and they were here and installed at the appointed day and time.The installation was flawless. My wife could not be happier. We eliminated the collection of wires, the several remotes and the cable tv we had subscribed to for the last number of years. JJ helped me figure out my needs. RJ led pre-wire and device implementation. The DirecTV tech initially thought there would be implementation hassles, but RG solved those issues. He took extra steps to improve cosmetic issues relating to power and cable wires to the upstairs TV. The Digital Design team was competent and a pleasure to work with.

Our old 37 TV was dying and we asked JJ what he recommends, and he hooked us up with a 55 Sony TV with a Bose sound bar. Wow ... what a difference!!! He knowledgeablely programmed everything and patiently explained us how to use the remote control. We can highly recommended him and have nothing but high praise.

We were experiencing problems with our custom AV system (for a new home) and we were tired of wasting time and money on that same company. After reading the great reviews about JJ and his company, we decided to make the switch. In our first meeting, JJ knew exactly what was wrong and he was very confident that he could get our wireless AV system working perfectly. And thats exactly what he and his team did. His team was very professional and we were most impressed by the quality and speed of their work. Our system is now awesome and very user-friendly. We also hired them to purchase and install a new TV and add shelving for my moms house, and again, they did a wonderful job with this too. We wished we had used them from the very beginning; this would have saved us a lot of time, stress and money.

Great Company, great service, great prices!

Part 1 of 2...Digital Delight…it should be called Digital Fright. It cost me $500 to learn my lesson. Screwed with no happy ending. With their prices and methods it could have been much worse. I hope to warn others from making the mistake of hiring these very unprofessional people. I moved to Houston and already owned quality home theater and satellite tv equipment. The home I purchased has Nest thermostats, WeMo WiFi light switches and an RTI panel; which I didn’t know how to set up. My girlfriend found Digital Delight was nearby, and we called in JJ Cannon; CEO Digital Delight. He showed up at our home for a walk through “estimate (he said we got lucky to have him because one of his employees was unavailable) and when I mentioned I did not know how to set up my surround sound he jumped right in and set it up in about 15 minutes. I am not discrediting his skill in this department, but he also was quick to pass my credit card through his square iPad device to the tune of $150 for this service. I paid without question trusting he and his team would be successfully completing the job I was seeking. My first mistake. Even though I had an existing home theater system, satellite receiver and dish, wifi lights and an RTI panel,  he quoted me for new light switches and satellite equipment and provided no resolution of home automation other than he could install the system he uses.  My WeMo WiFi light switches appear to be new. Why would I change to another brand just so he could sell equipment versus providing an option to work with what is already existing in the house.  $2,100 worth of goodies for just light switches and satellite tv equipment. I get the concept of offering an upsell. That’s the nature of business, but if I pay you $150 to tinker with my remote controls to help me set up my surround sound during what I thought was a free estimate visit, I don’t think you can call me unreasonable or tight with my wallet when I expect for a job to be seen to fruition.  He seemed knowledgeable of the home systems and I did not know anyone else and wanted my TV up so hired his company to mount and peak my satellite tv antenna as a start to see if I would use Digital Delight for my other home automation jobs. Mistake number two.Fast forward to installation day...Two DD techs show up on time and get to work.  Between the two techs I’m not sure if they had ever mounted a dish before. Lots of in and out and chasing their tails. Maybe they were killing time, or just didn’t want to admit they didn’t know what they were doing; who knows. What I can tell you is they were here all day, mounted the satellite (incorrectly, but I didn’t know at the time), and never got a signal. Guess what happened next?? I was given the bill of $350 before they left and had to pay on the spot. Know what else?? Nothing was accomplished, guaranteed, or followed up with. They sure took my money though. Now I’m in $500.  DD had one job. Mount and peak a satellite antenna. Not done. They have a sharp looking website, and phones and iPads that have no technical difficulty processing a credit card payment, but zero accountability. I payed them $500 to blame me for something.(see Mandy Garzas review for part 2 of our review)

JJ and his crew installed HDTVs, DVRs, Bose sound system and coordinated all of this with the installation of a wireless internet set up. JJ was involved in the selection/recommendations of the components and the design of the system. JJ is up on everything that is state of the art and gave wonderful suggestions that we had not even considered. He was able to integrate our audio/video system with our computer system as well. Because we were doing some major renovations at the time, he worked with our general contractor to make sure that eveything was properly staged to minimize cost and be as efficient as possible. Some of what we did in terms of the building in of the TVs was tricky, but JJ and his team were always up to the challenge. We continue to work with JJ on adding new things (can you say slingbox?) and it is great to continue this long term relationship. This is the second house that we have worked on with JJ and we have been very happy with the results both times. We always knew that JJ was about building a business which meant long term relationships (not just a one shot situation) and creating good will for future referrals. We have referred many people to JJ, all of whom have been very happy.
