Loved this place as a child it was just the homes most of them didnt make me feel @ home even though it was a blessing to be @ mentor in general if they could only match us with a mentor that treated us as their children and showed us how to care for one another a tutor, and role model. Not just about a check. Provide clothes and nice shoes with possibly going to childrens places like the zoo or ITZ, maybe a birthday I never had after being in the streets and abused since she 4 taken to CPS w/ my twin brother then sent off to TYC @age 11 till I was 21 To be released w/ a felony and back to the streets because of having a felony I was appreciative for being there @ mentor and out of a cell only getting three minutes a day out being feed through a door freezing in a paper gown and pepper SPRAYED if we talk. Brutally abused in TYC. Mentor was a true blessing
