I recently had a full front winch bumper for my 4x4 powder coated by Coating Source. I am very happy with the final product. It is beautiful - almost too good to get beat up on the trails. So glad I found this company! I wanted a durable tumbler, but wanted it to be a fun color. And the bonus is how much cheaper this is than the Yeti and its the exact same thing!! But the best part was how the owner, Josh, was fantastic to work with, answering texts over the weekend, putting up with me changing my mind, then expediting my tumbler in time for my vacation at no extra cost. Had a bumper coated with Josh about a year ago and had some issues with the coating a couple of months into it. Normally, this wouldnt earn them a 5 star rating.What they did following my complaint makes them stand above and beyond.Josh contacted me by phone, told me to bring it in, and offered to powder it again, this time done by him, with a more thorough process and now, about 5 months later, including a 10 day trip Wheeling in Colorado, i do have to say, its held up perfectly.No chipping, rust, or any issues.Its refreshing to see a business owner care about his customers the way Josh does.I highly recommend them. Just make sure youre both on the same page with what you expect the coating to do and theyll do it accordingly.

I called several of the Big Name powder coaters in Houston and requested a two color coating on my vintage patio chairs. They all said no, we dont do that and Coating Source said No Problem. I am very pleased with the result. Very nice people to work with. Chairs look better than when they were new...

Failed to deliver on promise to recoat substandard spray. Drug it out, then reneged on offer. Not trustworthy.Bogus reply. I have documentation that he redid one chair due to squirrel warranty. When the squirrels ate it too, owner said he had a different coating to try . Never delivered. Theres something in the spray formula. Ive had this furniture for 30+ years and never had this issue before. Other spray coatings companies never heard of this either. Not willing to throw good money after bad...especially when he failed to deliver on recoating commitment. He can put whatever spin he wants to on this, but hes not trustworthy...period.

Well after talking to 3 other shops today .... i felt a confort when i spoke to josh putnam as he expressed his professional opinion on coating my 26 geovana rims which i have a deep sentimental value on !! he didnt give me BS about what he had to do to them... just gave me a fair quote and said ill take care of it ... TUrnover time is 2 weeks.. cant wait to see the finishing product !
