I am very satisfied with the first class service. My first visit was an oil change and I decided to come back for maintenance and will come back for future repairs. I dropped in for an oil change, state inspection and tire rotation and was out in an hour - exactly the amount of time they estimated for me when I walked in. They were friendly, informative and just all around provided great service.

I highly recommend this place! They were able to pick up my car and take it to the shop and perform a diagnostic of my vehicle. I had a problem with my car that other shops could not find, but after a through check Northwest Houston Auto Repair Heights found the problem. They ordered the parts one day and did the repair the next day. They knew I needed my car and I appreciate them not having my car just sit there and they did not have the parts. The price was very reasonable for the work preformed, so, long story short I have found my repair shop for life!

Jim the owner was swiftly and fast to assist me on all my vehicle needs. His team is amazing and unlike most places his prices are fair. Mr. Jim and the mechanics here are amazing! As a young female you sometimes are worried that you maybe treated unfairly or taken advantage of, here that was not the case. I am 28 years old and 7 months pregnant not only was I taken care of but Mr. Jim went above and beyond with checking my vehicle thoroughly before I got back on the road to California! I’m a new client and a happy one too. I bought a used Honda days before it broke down just around the corner from Northwest Houston Auto Repair. I got honest news back that my clutch pressure plate was out and needed to be replaced. With the whole subframe coming down, it was a lot of work but Jim managed to do it quickly and even noticed a rear main seal that also needed replacing while the transmission was down. I will be taking the tough jobs here all the time from now on with good honest car repair and competitive labor prices. Ask for Jim when you arrive!

Amazing!!! From the first time I called to inquire about my air conditioning in my VW Jim was so kind and informative. I have been told mechanics are NOT huge fans of Volkswagens and Jim did not even bat an eye when I mentioned my VW Jetta air conditioning going out. Had some trouble with another one of my vehicles which led me to Jim and his team with northwest houston auto. Initially I wanted to get a transmission put in my truck, but opted to actually replace the motor in another vehicle I had sitting in my garage for a year. Jim is awesome. He was super helpful and cared about the situation as if it were his own. I was having trouble getting the car to him so he sent his own personal wrecker to pick up the car since my insurance gave me a run around. The service was done quickly and properly the first time. Jim communicated with me ever step of the process which I thought would have taken much longer, but by the third day they were already pulling the engine out. Car drives amazing and I couldnt be happier.

He tried to charge me $4,000 and tried to say I needed a new motor and a lot of other things on my camaro. Took it else where it was just the thermostat that needed to be replaced. Cost me $150 and my car has been running great. Since he saw I was woman he tried to scam me out of $4,000!!!!!

Came by this evening to get my brakes checked out, few minutes in they called me into the shop to show me first hand, they had it on the lift and showed me that my two front pads are low, they gave me a great price for replacing front pads and rotors, added a oil change and got a free state inspection, was in and out in less than 2 hours, will continue doing business as the owner and mechanics display professionalism and care to my car! Very glad I found this place

I brought in my 2nd vehicle for repairs to the front end, an overheating problem and general checkup. The major repairs were reasonably priced, the work was done quickly, and the extra care, with person service, was the old fashioned type of service that I greatly appreciate. I strongly believe that I have found my personal mechanic for my three vehicles. I will recommend them to people I love and care about. Its hard to know who you can trust these days.

You tell them what the problem with your car and they will fix it. I will go back to them for my car needs.

I discovered this shop from a google search. I initially came for a window repair and learned that they also perform vehicle inspections for $25. I was able to get the inspection done swiftly after the other work was completed.. All in all I think it took about 15 minutes to complete the inspection. Jim, the owner, is amiable and professional, as was the receptionist. I was pleasantly surprised to see her working in the garage. His mechanics were friendly as well. The garage floor was clean and the tools and equipment were well organized.The lot has ample parking. I recommend this shop for timely state inspections.

One day my car decided to act up horribly to the point to where I couldnt drive it. Im a delivery driver so I needed to get my car worked on asap so I can return back to work. I looked up the nearest mechanic shop and it was only a few minutes away from my location. I was skeptical to try out a new place that Ive never been before but this car tragedy turned out to be a blessing. I ended up creating an amazing relationship with some of the best workers I know. Not only are the mechanics here reliable and knowledgeable, they get the work done quickly. My first visit here I was back on the road in a few hours and back to work. Since my first visit Ive had to get some other things repaired on my car and every time I get work done by these guys Im amazed by the results. They turned my car back into the same car that I loved when I first bought it. Whenever I think of somewhere to go for repairs, this is my go to spot now.

The worest car repair workmen ship I have experienced. My check engine light was on,my vehicle needed a mass air flow sensor. I advised the owner that the dealership had performed the identical repair job a year ago.this is the code low level computer produce like advance auto p utilize for free to give u a general readout.with the proper technology like at the dealership.there computer produce the same general code however because the additional air entering your engine could come from several sources there technology produces the specific source of the air entering your engine. I told the owner all of this prior to allowing him to do the job.well when brough my car and said you all ready to go!! I entered my can the check engine light was on. His mechanic drove the car down the street and back and the owner said it was my transmission!! Activating the check engine not the 380.00 I was just paid him because the told me I absolute, positive its your mass air flow sensor .I took my car to the dealership the next day ,it was a gasket ,cost 180.00.need I day more!!.

Brought my car in for a windshield replacement. Walked out getting my rear brakes replaced. After having trouble finding the correct part, the owner personally went to pick up the replacement rotors from the BMW dealership. Was able to get my car back the same day. 5 stars from me.

I would just like to say this is my first time coming to northwest Houston brake and oil change. Jim the owner and his team changed out my tie rods, replaced my front struts, serpentine belt, did a brake flush and coolant flush. finished every thing on time. Jim even gave me a ride home, and picked me up when the car was ready. The price was fair, a lot better than what the dealership would of charged. Every one there very friendly. Jim really takes care of his customers. I Think I found my new repair shop, Ill be back for sure. Way to go Jim and team.

Lifesaving! I was visiting family and friends in Houston when my brakes started screeching so loudly I was afraid to be on the road. Of course I turned to Google to help me find a repair shop near me. I called 2 places that couldnt make time for me. My third call was to Northwest Houston Brake repair and oil change. I explained my situation and let them know I was from out of state and needed to get home. They told me to come on in. So I nervously drove my truck to them and could see they were extremely busy. Brought my car in for a brake change, found out I had some more things needed to be done to it, Jim let me know everything I needed, best mechanics, the most trustworthy auto repair shop I have ever done business with will be coming back and recommending to anyone that needs repairs done on their vehicles!

I hate to post bad reviews, but sometimes you have to. Oil change service took about an hour. I wasnt the only one complaining about it on that uncomfortable room. They tried to sale me overpriced tires (I got 4 of the same tires at Discount tires even cheaper than the quote they gave me just for 3). Once the long service was done, my panel was still showing low pressure tire, I asked them If they checked, their response was maybe my sensor was broken. After 3 hours I went to Discount tire to check my tires and it was 5psi below that it should be. At this point I dont trust in any of the 5 stars that they got here neither the service they did in my car. You got more for your money at places like Jiffi Lube and Discount tires. I wont comeback.

I went here to get my back window repaired which they did. I told them my passenger side window will not roll down they checked it out but while they did that they broke the inside handles on the front driver & passenger side of my car. They repaired the passenger side a few days later. I told them I never had a problem with my driver side handle and they kept saying they didnt do anything to it. With their inconvenience I had to roll down my window to open my door because they wouldnt own up to their mistake and make it right.
