I brought my truck in because of the air not blowing cold. I paid $119 for a diagnostic test and I was told my condenser needed to be replaced.I asked were you sure its not the compressor. You said test shows the condenser. I paid a total of $740. When I left the air was fine. I got up went to work the next day but I noticed the air was warm so after work I turned the air on full and its blowing hot. I called Midas said Im on the way the same thing is happening. They check my car only to tell me its the compressor. WOW. So the test didnt say that less than 24 hours ago. Im disappointed in the service. Ive been coming since 2013 and nothing like this has ever happened. You tell me that the condenser blew the compressor out. If it was bad today it was bad yesterday. Dont take advantage of people like that. I feel cheated. These are new people I would not recommend this place unless you have money to burn. And you tell me its $1300 but you can bring it down to $1000 to replace the compressor. The same thing you charged someone else for a way newer car than mine.

Shady….. Katy location is much much preferable. I’d rather do the 20 miles there since I know and trust them.

SAM is a liar. He promised a free oil change because of a bad experience. Then said no because I left an honest review. Always check your account when leaving. My first time using Midas was today(06/04/21); I came in for a synthetic oil change and was charged twice. 1 for 83.00 and another for 70.00. When I called the young lady told me I had to wait to see how they were going to refund my money. Then she states one payment was declined so they changed me again. But when I received my card back; no one said it declined, no one gave me a declined receipt, and no one said they swiped my card twice for two different amounts. Waited an hr for them to try to do something. Money still not refunded on my card and it’s Tuesday. Now I have to call my bank.

I came for the 49.99 special that includes full synthetic oil change with tire rotation on 6/1/21. Somehow the 49.99 special ended up being 60.10 dollars, how did the price increased 10 dollars, 20% taxes?. I always pay extra attention when I bring my car to a new place, so when they were finished I knew they didnt rotate my tires even though thats part of the special. When I complained they told me that I never stated that I wanted my tires rotated!, even though I specifically stated I wanted the OIL CHANGE WITH TIRE ROTATION. If you take your car to this place pay extra attention on what is being done to your car, or what is NOT being done to your car.

DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ALIGNMENT!!! Came in to get a alignment on my 16 ford explorer done, they finished and de was driving home once I got on the high way I noticed the steering wheel was crooked and the car was going straight, I called them, they told me to come in and they would fix it, when I get there they guy told me, sorry nothing I can do you didnt buy the warranty and that they drove on the back roads and the alignment was done. All the back roads at the Dairy Asford have a little bit of a slop. They were extremely rude and was not willing to move a finger to address the situation and on top of that he was using coursing words and talk very aggressively, I think he was trying to intimidate me or something. Sam is hes name I think.

Midas was excellent awesome the employees were very helpful friendly and knowledgeable about things I love cant wait to go back for my next visit they always have done good business there.

My experience was not perfect, but was not bad either. Miranda at the front desk is amazing. She was holding it down by herself answering phones, checking in with Mechanics, and dealing with Irate customers such as myself . I was told my car would be finished 2 hours later than I was originally quoted and cost me being late to work. After, I told them I needed to be out ASAP, the mechanics immediately got to it & I was out. I appreciate their responsiveness to an urgent matter that doesn’t directly affect them. I will be back thank you for your help and recommendation to Ichiban Ramen restaurant.

Very honest...told me that I dont need to replace my brakes when another place told me that I did. They found a nail in my tire and after I had given permission to plug/patch the hole...the technician told me that it was just stuck in the grooves and did not puncture the tire. They were sincere to inspect, but charge you for the inspection. So basically you pay for getting a quote.

Prices are pretty good I love coming here the only thing that annoys me is the front customer service girl , she talks a lot and takes so long with paperwork and finding prices like I get it it might take a while but she just takes long . And is always talking like we understand you are friendly but lady tone it down . No one wants to know your life story and especially when I come get my car done I’m not in the mood to be talking .

WHY IN THE WORLD did I not come here first. Miranda, the clerk, was so polite and even showed me my rotors. I live to learn. I told her how another business tried to charge me $500 just for rear rotors and brakes and she truly understood - its so unfair how women are treated when trying to service our cars. The manager, Eric, was very polite and spoke. He engaged in convo with customers. I had my rear brake pads, new rotors and inspection done within two hours for a reasonable price PLUS i really appreciate Miranda reminding me of the warranty I have. I will be back , THIS specific location!

Ive been going to this Midas for a while now,and after repair needed my car has still been running good so I would say yes this location makes sure your car still runs good.

They ment well since Carshield sent us there but the car drove worst than when we took it. They supposed to have repaired rac n pinion steering. It continues to make the noise. It stopped several times and top of that Carshield didnt pay for it $800

Ive been going to see Eric for any issue I have with my vehicles since I lived round the corner from this Midas location in 2013. Ive been to several different mechanics in the past, but no one has been able to come close to measuring up to how well Eric takes care of you and how knowledgeable his crew is. I moved to north Houston in 2017, and I happily make the drive down there whenever I need anything done to my vehicle: I cant recommend this location enough, there isnt a mechanic I trust more.

The last place I went to doesnt come close to the excellent quality and great service they provide. The last place left grease stains on the interior of my car and even broke part of the dashboard. When I get my car back from Eric and Jackie, I know that it will be in good condition.They explain thoroughly whats going on with my car and even show me what theyre talking about so I understand better since Im a visual person.When I had a HUGE job that needed to be done when I was still in school, working part time, and strapped for cash, they worked with me to help me get my car running again. That showed me how much they really do care for their customers because they didnt have to help me as much as they did and I greatly appreciate them for it.Now, I wont take my car to anyone else and that says a lot because I live about 20 minutes from them, in Houston thats about 45 minutes and I pass about a dozen car repair places on my way. Went in for an alignment and they told me I had bad bearings, told them to align it and Id take it home and do the bearings myself and have it aligned again. They came back and said the bearings were not too bad after all. I replaced the bearings just to be safe. The bearings were in perfect shape.

This is the only place I trust with my vehicle! Couldn’t be happier with any experience I’ve had here over the years.

I wasted time going here made appointment at 9am. I have a new born so I picked some where close by and asked my mom to watch the baby. I was told it would take 45min to hr. I walked across to Walgreens and fiesta after a hr I walked back. Come to find out my car was still sitting where I parked it.they hadnt bother to look at it yet a lady that wasnt there when I was waiting car was being serviced. What is the point of making appointments if you dont care whos on time or waited over hr. I wouldnt recommend this place unless you have all day to wait. I asked for my keys and left. Never again!! No one bothered to even look at my car. Take your money some where else

Used to do most of my own auto repair/service work but homeowners association now forbids us from working on our vehicles. Searched for good shop to do brake job on my BMW. Used to love using place but the last few visits their customer service has dropped. They lost my center cap for one of my rims and said I must of lost it which I know it was on there prior to dropping it off to have them exchange a flat, they shut the doors before six. They offer you to drop it off overnight but last i did that they didnt have it ready on time and lost that cap. Eric is great though

Eric and his team are amazing! I moved to Texas over 2 years ago and have been going to this location since day one. They are friendly, honest and get the job done! I moved a half hour away and still will only go to see Eric with my regular services and any issues that arise (although I generally don’t have any as they take great care of my car).Highly highly recommend! This is the best auto repair experience I have ever had. Everyone was friendly and courteous which made me feel very comfortable. The waiting room was very nice and clean and the bathroom was much nicer than you would expect. Most of all, Eric was genuine and honest. Great people, great service and I am especially grateful for their honesty.I took my Altima Nissan in for repairs and after making some calls to the dealership, Eric found out that the repairs was actually under a warranty at the dealership and he connected me with someone to help me out. I went today for servicing my vehicle.. i have been having low tire pressure issue with one of the tires... i have asked several other mechanics and no one could find the problem... i have asked Eric and he told there was small screw struck into tire which is causing air leak...thats it he patched up the leak and fixed the issue.. best place to go for servicing car... will definitely come back...

My husband recommended I try this location because of the excellent work they have done on his car. My AC stop working the beginning of summer in Houston Texas is the worst.... not only did they get my AC working within the same day, the next week they rechecked it to make sure its running well. This Midas did a great job. I went in for an oil change, and they were so nice. The new owner and his staff really care for car education. Keeping things up to date and being informative along with a caring attitude. Thats how they come across here. I went back a week later because I thought I herd a problem with my wheel. They checked it for free and found I must have picked up scrap metal from the road, and it got into the underbody of my car. They removed it, thanked me for coming in and that was that. Terrible I I made an appointment online to get my tires aligned two weeks ago it said they would call me to verify within 30 minutes nobody ever called to make the appointment Im still waiting two weeks later I tried calling and nobody would answer the phone very disappointed

My car started giving me trouble right in the middle of preparing for Hurricane Harvey. Less than 24 hours after landfall and with storms still occurring, I contacted this Midas location and spoke to Eric. He told me come on in. Got there and it was smooth sailing. I had excellent service here! I came in because I had an issue with white smoke coming from underneath my car. They diagnosed the issue for free. They were very transparent and showed me where the issue was coming from and had me on my way. I will definitely be returning and recommend their shop to friends and family.

Very happy about the quality of care that they provide! Brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change and they found out I had a rack and pinion shredding and needing repair. Had no idea. Wouldve been upwards of 700 to replace, but they were able to repair it at half the cost. I was told it would take 2 days and I was pleasantly surprised that it only took 1- I called to say that I couldnt make it until past close time and they were sweet enough to wait for me to get there. They went above and beyond their duty and I will definitely be back. Very courteous and pleasant staff. I observed many customers that they knew by name and stated would come back. Thats a good sign when you have regulars at your business- Its hard to find a mechanic you can trust!

The prices for service may be above average for some services but the customer service is exceptional, the knowledge of the Midas staff is second to none and going to this location is like going to Cheers where everyone knows your name.

The Absolute best for car care

I have gone to this location for years and really liked the service. However, the last visit was my last. After spending over $1,300 on fixing my air conditioner, I went back 2 months later due to bad odor coming in the cabin and failure to cool properly. As usual the staff was enthusiastic to help. However, the diagnostic was a shocker! They told me I needed to fix my cooling fan. From the little research I had done on cars cooling system, the fan was not listed. So, for the first time I told them I would return later. I meant to go get a second opinion. However to my surprise, when I left the shop my AC was running better than it did when they initially repaired it. I recalled one of the mechanics mentioning I might just have a loose hose. I felt betrayed and exploited and lost trust in the shop. Why lie to a long-term customer????? Just fix the problem and do not recommend unnecessary services. It has been months since that last visit. My AC has been running great, no dust/odor blowing in the cabin and my fan is not broken. I still find it difficult to believe I almost got ripped by my very trusted and beloved mechanic shop. Being a lady, it makes me wonder..............how often were unnecessary services recommended during all those years I trusted them? Very sad indeed. It takes forever to establish trust and not much to destroy it

This location is full of very professional people and they work very hard to help you out. I was getting ready to leave for Austin to pick up a groomsman for my wedding (he was flying in from New England) and I noticed my window was down a little bit. I tried to roll it up, heard a noise, and watched the window slide down. We were (and did) going to get heavy rain where we were going, but I had very little time for something like this. I called up this location and explained my situation and they were able to lock my window in position, and it held throughout the entire wedding weekend. They did this within about 30 minutes and got me back on the road in time to pick up my groomsman. When I returned to get the window fully fixed, they were able to get me in and had the window motor fixed within a half hour or so. I appreciated how professional they were and they took what would have been a very hectic and stressful event to kick off my wedding weekend and made it a non-issue. And during the time I was waiting, I saw them treating the other customers with just as much care and respect as they were giving me. I highly recommend this location.

Have a restored 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. I chose it to take it to Eric Marchand Midas shop because of his reputation, and the positive customer reviews. Eric and his team did an excellent job on my car. Just got it back, with new master cylinder, new back wheel cylinders, and new break pads. Drives like new now. Thank you very much Eric and team. Overall quite dissatisfied with my experience at their shop. Went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation with a coupon and they baited and switched me. The $20 aforementioned service quickly changed into a $60 quote while my car was on the lift, and they wouldnt rotate my tires like I wanted or paid for because newer tires should stay on the back. I will not be coming back.

Today I went to get an inspection. Walking in, I was appropriately greeted by Eric Marchand (owner). I needed an inspection done on a 2015 Lancer. After 20 minutes, I was called back to the front desk and was told that I failed inspection due to my front two tires being too low. I proceeded to ask questions like, what makes them low, what is the number that quantifies too low? His WIFE interjects and starts yelling at me Youre not going to be rude to us. I stated Im not being rude, I can just go somewhere else. Im a law student, so I ask questions. She then stated, Well you need to actually learn the law, & Ill look for your bar number. She turned to her husband and said she doesnt have to pay. I asked for my keys and her name which she refused to provide. I have called Customer Service and opened a case. I have never, EVER been yelled at for asking a question. This was my first and last time at MIDAS.

WOW! I am so glad my husband decided to come to this MIDAS. My car air conditioner was malfunctioning and after going to Firestone - they told us we needed to change the WHOLE SYSTEM, add $2,000 to the tab! We decided to go for a second opinion to this location and not only did we get great service, but they took the time to explain everything and tell us it was a simple leak that they will add dye in the system to find out the source. Just stopped by Midas to get my breaks checked and could not be happier with the service I received. Ive spent a lot of time around mechanics so I know many of the tricks they employ and I must say Eric was friendly,honest,refreshing and had me on my way in no time. I will definitely be back!
