The lazy river is great! Best part of the hotel in the shape of Texas state. Ask for room facing pool! Gym is also fully equipped, nice service, rooms are acceptable for Marriott marquis, several resto options in house. Feels a bit like a resort. Connection tunnel to the convention center. Nice park in front

This hotel has been rode hard and put up wet. It is absolutely packed, but is not maintained. The ceiling in the bathroom of our $700 suite was falling down. The grout in the shower hasnt been cleaned in years. Furniture is beat up and stained. Pool area had trash everywhere. Valet is a joke, save your $60 and just park in a pay lot. They dont answer the phone when you call for your car.

Really enjoyed my stay! Rooms are larger than I expected and love the floor to ceiling windows. I craved the fresh bites breakfast that comes with corn tortillas (cant remember the name) and the valet were great! Was so happy to be traveling again and they seemed happy to have us there! Front desk staff was warm and friendly and the lobby has plenty of nooks to relax and read or people watch. Last...pool is very enjoyable. One night it was warm and breezy and I just enjoyed looking out at the city while I relaxed in the pool.

Beautiful rooms and amenities. Convenient restaurants on site. The lazy river, pool, and hot tub were great. The 18 and over rule for the pool after 6 pm and for the hot tub is a great idea, but it isnt actually enforced. There is also no way to reach the front desk from your room.Otherwise, a really great stay.

For the amount of $$ that is being paid for the rooms, you would think there would be more privacy in the rooms. At the bottom of ALL of the room doors to the hallways, there is about a 2 inch gap. My hand can side through as a grown man! Maintenance told me it was due to air pressure reasons. Ive stayed in other high-rise hotels and it wasnt like this. You can hear everyones conversations in the hallway, so if you are making love in your room, everyone else can hear you also. I was told to place a big towel at the bottom of the door. I would expect that response at a less expensive motel. SECONDLY, I had to contact maintenance twice because the fridge was making a constant ringing sound that prevented me from getting a good nights rest the first night there. I expressed this to the front desk and requested to speak with a manager, no manager was available and no offers for any type of compensation were made. Although I loved the amenities and the pool was AMAZING, I probably would not stay here again.

Yuk. Lazy river had no current, this is just a Texas shaped 3 foot pool. It has a vinyl liner that is bubbling in places, and it looks like its been stained green from algae. Inner tube style floats are plastic and not conducive to relaxing. They need to update the floats. Hot tub jets are weak. Bell service almost nonexistent, need more than one bell man. Room service is terrible, they just hand you a paper bag. My hamburger came with no condiments, basically its a dry burger. No water and no utensils. I dont understand how this place gets a marquis designation.

We will NEVER stay at another Marriott!First, the gentleman behind the counter mistakenly took our ticket from the parking deck after he told us parking is validated through the room card. The card was not activated, and we were stuck at the parking deck gate until we paid $32 for a “lost ticket.” Then, the WiFi was “free,” if you signed up to be some Marriott member, and it turned out that our room was charged for this VERY SLOW WiFi. There was a mascara stain on a towel, and even worse, there was a brown makeup spot on a pillow case. The fitted sheet was inside out, which leads you to wonder whether it was just flipped over instead of cleaned or did someone really not pay attention? Additionally, breakfast is $40 to attend, the vending machines on each floor hardly work and charge $3 even for water, after how much was already spent on this ridiculously overrated hotel. Lastly, when the parking charges were brought to their attention, the same gentleman lightly apologized and admitted fault. He then smartly retrieved his manager. When she met us, no eye contact was made. Parking was reimbursed, but no hospitality was shown whatsoever. We will never stay at another Marriott. We will tell our friends and family about our experience, and we will suggest they stay at a Comfort Inn, where we had a lovely experience for the next two days of our Texas visit.

I have never reviewed a hotel while still living in it. We came here for 5 nights and still have another 2 more to go but can’t wait to check out. We come from New York and This behavior is pathetic of the hotel staff. Specially the pool areas. There are no life guards and no one to check what’s going on. The spa is specifically mentioned for 18 years and above but it’s always full of kids specially toddlers eating chips in it and above all diving in hot tub. Seriously man who does this. I complain every time I enter the pool but no one seems bothered. The bar tenders only job is to pass food drinks. The so called lapse pool is full of kids who bring in the tubes from lazy River here and above all they pull the water chairs in the lapse pool. No control very bad management.kids jumping in lapse pool while you’re swimming in it. No one follows the policy that no diving in pool area. Parents are reckless who come here whose kids are ill mannered too. The staff is pathetic they really don’t care. I regret coming here. Will never come back here but prefer Hilton over Marriott any day.

LOVE the Texas shaped pool but I wish they had adult only hours. There were tons of unsupervised children running around screaming knocking things over. I mentioned to one of the attendants there was a small boy (maybe 6) jumping in the water completely alone. My daughter brought me here for a early Mother’s Day weekend. Unfortunately she made a mistake and booked the room for a weekend in July instead of April. When the check in person told us this we just looked at each other didn’t say a word. He went and got Nick the manager. He told us they didn’t have a room and are over booked by two rooms. But he could give us free pool passes and get us a room at a near by hotel. Guys we hadn’t even complained this was all our fault and they were so nice. We enjoyed the pool the entire weekend. Unfortunately I didn’t get the desk clerk name. Also , the waiter at the pool Jose was amazing. Saturday the pool was packed and he did an amazing job serving us! We had a very disappointing experience and that is an understatement. We checked in Friday October 1, 2021. First of all, checking in was the worst. We had two rooms reserved and the hotel charged the card on file 3 times. This caused issues with the card and the front desk agent Brandon was being very rude and not understanding at all. After the issue with the card was resolved we made our way back up to the front desk we over heard him talking about us to another employee. Before we left the front desk Brandon did not give us bracelets to enter the Pool. After requesting the bracelet he only gave us 2. We had a total of 5 people staying in two different room. He rudely stated that it was a new policy. Stating things like “I’m trying to save you money” which is very offensive because he doesn’t know if money was an issue or not. He should NOT assume. His tone of voice was demeaning and borderline yelling at us.After a really long day and this frustrating experience checking in as I was getting in my bed I pull the bed duvet back to get in bed but there was feces stains that smelled really bad on the bed! This was a perfectly made bed we had not even slept in the beds yet!! It was DISGUSTING!! I decided to call down to request a new duvet. They brought a new one up and as I was making the bed i noticed it had BLOOD STAINS!!! I cannot make this up!!! After calling a third time they brought one that was clean but did not take the dirty ones from our rooms. In the morning my sisters husband needed to iron some clothes and there was no iron in the room as it should be. He decided to go down to the front desk and request an iron and he was greeted with rudeness once again. The front desk lady kept insisting that there was one in his room and he “just needed to look for it”. Insisting multiple times and insinuating he was lying. This lady was really trying to argue with him over an iron. In my opinion, if a guest States there’s no iron in the room just give the guest an iron why argue!?Thank God we did visit Biggios and had a pleasant experience. There was a bar back named Veronica that was checking up on everyone making sure we were okay. Frank and John were great servers and were very patient with us.This experience was very disappointing considering this is a 5 star hotel we expected so so much more. Especially spending money we expect the treatment everyone else receives. I hope this hotel does the right thing and follows up with us after this terrible experience. As for now, i want to tell you all, SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT COME HERE!!

Overall disappointed with our stay.To good: The rooms was nice and view great. We were surprised to find no concierge.Everything else was below average.Calling down to get our car from valet would take several times before anyone would pickup the phone.Calling the front desk to talk to anyone, same issue. Going to the front desk or valet also, long delays. We stayed mid week, not during a holiday and it never seemed crowded so I dont know why there was always such delaysThe pool was gross. We booked the hotel partly for the endless pool. Because it was early season the weather wasnt spectacular z so there were not too many people in the pool, and yet it was dirty. People floating with drinks leaving their empty cups on the edges on dropping their straws, cans, and masks in the water. We were fishing the stuff out and setting it on the sides and clearly no staff was doing it. Another guest was going around collecting empty cups and stacking them near the stairs and *still* no one was collecting them. Wait staff was happy to keep searching, but no one seemed to have the job to clean up the pool edges during the dayIt took two calls at night to get the front desk to send someone up to break up the three room party across the hall from us Luckily, it only took one visit from the hotel staff, but it took a lot of time on the phone just to get the front deck to pick up each time. Just not what I expected from such a highly rated hotel.

I would say overall my experience at the Marriott fell on the very poor side. After being groped by another guest in an elevator on the way back to my room, what the security and front desk manager did next was shocking. There was absolutely no follow through and boldFace lies when it came to the steps they would follow regarding the situation. No follow up the next day to check in on how I was doing. I spoke to several individuals and at the end of it ,was given a small credit towards the room which I have yet to see on my account invoice. I honestly can say to pay so much and be treated the way I was without being compensated for a new and better experience due to their lack of follow through with their policy and procedures I won’t be back. Brianna and Nick we’re the only ones that made me feel heard. However even they did little to compensate everything I had been through. But for the price I was expecting much better ammentities, like bedding 2 out of 5, towels, 2 out of 5, our A.C went out, and not to mention someone just WALKED INTO OUR ROOM WITHOUT KNOCKING!!!I went out for a walk at 4am and noticed none of the side doors were locked, so anyone can walk in at any time ( thats a safety issue) especially when some random person walked in our room unannounced. This is totally unacceptable. Whats up with the large gap under everyones doors? My pillows had an odor and SOMEONE LITERALLY WALKED IN MY ROOM UNANNOUNCED!!!!! Didnt knock or even say house keeping, just WALKED IN. To put this into perspective, this isnt like someone walked into you house unannounced, its like someone walked into your BEDROOM, unannounced! This happened 9-20-21, needless to say if you want to experience the swimming pool, get a day pass but DO NOT get a room!!!!!!

Positive: Location is awesome. Hotel is beautiful. Negative: When I turned on the shower for the first time, it smelled like sewer. I was shocked. The grout in the shower needs to be bleached also. As nice of a hotel this is, there shouldn¿t be any dirt anywhere. Construction overlooking pool was loud.

I’m only giving this hotel 3 stars because the only thing that is great is the outside pool area (infinity & the lazy river) and the hotel room was good. The price for the hotel was very reasonable. The things that wasn’t great about this hotel they charge an incidental fee of $150 per night, you get it back at checkout. I really do not recall seeing this anywhere when I booked the room. I was surprised when I checked in they charge this amount on top of the nightly rate. I understand you will get this money back at checkout, but for the people who wasn’t aware of this extra fee probably would not be as calm as I. It probably wasn’t the same circumstances for someone that budget for there trip and that wasn’t included. In addition, there’s a lot of beggars in the Vicinity. They approach you as soon as you leave the hotel and they surround the hotel building waiting for people to leave the front entrance. I felt that was very ignoring and can become unsafe for some people, especially females. The food in the pool area was better than the food inside the restaurant. The parking I felt wasn’t explained clearly. The first night we did velvet parking $45 because we arrived late. The next night I saw the sign for public parking for hotel residence, so I parked there overnight and ended up paying $60 for a 24 hour parking, I asked the hotel front desk and she said I have to take it up with the garage parking and i stated the self-parking for hotel guest was $35, she stated I was supposed to request this when I checked in at the front desk and they would’ve added it to my room. I told her this was never mentioned to me when I checked-in. I didn’t want to go back and fourth with her, so I brushed it out and told her I will claim it on my voucher. As you can see this trip has been one thing after another. The end to this is I won’t stay here again, I know noticed a lot of people was staying here for the baseball game that was literally across the street from the hotel. I don’t want deter anyone, the hotel and location was great, the other things wasn’t.

This hotel is a CIRCUS. From the time I walked through the door (2 hours prior to actual check-in time, as i requested for check-in) the lines were out of the building. I opted for valet for the convenience, and this service is everything BUT valet. Upon check-out I called to have my vehicle pulled to the front & they informed me they werent excepting calls for vehicles at the moment & that I needed to physically come down to the valet. When I went to the valet I waited in a line for 35 minutes just to give them my ticket and was then informed it will be an ADDITIONAL 55 minute wait for my vehicle... That is NOT valet. I could have easily opted for self-parking and retrieved my vehicle AND saved money. The wait caused me to miss my flight! The hotel employee at the front desk refused to get me their manager when requested. I then found the valet manager MYSELF and was blown off and was told theres nothing he can do for me. I am a frequent traveller and this is by far the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. The pools are a JOKE. There was garbage and dirty towels everywhere around the pools and in the lounging areas. Workers physically watched me clean up trash around the fire pit so I can have a place to sit. I chose to stay at this hotel for the amplified reviews and referrals and the great amenities, and I was HIGHLY disappointed. 10/10 very upset and do not recommend.

Know one told us about the color of the wrist bands for the pool area so seating was limited. Valet parking is very unorganized it took us 30 min to leave with our car. The hotel room was very nice and clean.

Navigation with Maps was really funny but it’s a great location. Very busy hotel, and not much parking. The hall one floor up is beautiful. Had a burger and fries in the restaurant and that was good as well. The valet was pricy but I’m not sure if that’s just because we were wedding guests and not stay in guests.I also dropped off a pair of shoes at the front desk and they kept it safe while I partied!!!

Overall, good. Valet operation really erodes the experience. 45 min wait time to get your car seems like there is room for improvement.

Too expensive for basic rooms that are outdated, pool was nice but just not worth the price. Ive paid less for 5 star hotels around the world, this is the most Ive ever paid to be in my own backyard. I will not be returning.

10 minutes check in, 6 desks but only 2 employees. Room is nice but…for 350$ you have no parking, it’s a 48 $/day extra….no internet, it’s 14.5$…..breakfast is a pick up bag at 12$ per person…….Check out+ car from Vallet…30 minutes….So yes the pool/ lazy river are fantastic but the hotel is not better than a 200$ room and remember the pool is free access to 2 guests only, after it’s something like 30$/extra guest….

Positive: The hotel is in a great central location. The pool area is nice and the pool bar staff were nice. Negative: The room was not as clean as I would have expected. There was dust on the desk area and the couch in the room had stains. The ottoman looks worn. I called for room service in the morning and after an hour of waiting, I called again, they forgot my order.
