I wanted to get a silk press and trim. Before they started they wanted the pay upfront meaning if I didn’t like it I couldn’t get half of my money back. I paid 115 dollars for a simpleFlat iron and it’s not a silk press like I requested just a flat iron. Friendly service but not worth the money.

My original review of this business is posted on Yelp. I thought I had uploaded my review to Google but I realized that I didnt so Im doing it now in the hopes that nobody has to experience this at this TERRIBLE BUSINESS:While my expectations were not terribly high when visiting this salon, I found my treatment to be absolutely unprofessional.I made a 9am appointment for a relaxer touch-up with Tammy 3 days prior to coming in from out of town. I informed her that I needed to make the appointment early as I had other business to handle that day before leaving town that afternoon. On the day of the visit I called Tammy 10 minutes prior to my appointment time to inform her that I was a few blocks away and would arrive shortly. Once I arrived I was told that Tammy had gone to the beauty supply store and would return shortly. So I waited and watched a movie as three other stylists lumbered about. After 40 MINUTES I asked one of the stylists if she had any idea when Tammy would be back only to be told again that Tammy went to the beauty supply store. After ONE HOUR of waiting for Tammy to return from the beauty supply store one of the other stylist asked if I wanted her to do my hair. I told her that I didnt seem to have much of a choice as I had a flight to catch soon and I made my appointment early explicitly for that reason. She relaxed my hair for me as I reminded her of my time constraints and Tammy finally showed up sometime during the process, neglecting to acknowledge me or offer an explanation for why she was ONE AND A HALF HOURS LATE for the appointment I booked and called in advance to confirm. As expected I ran out of time and had no choice but to leave right after the relaxer was washed from my hair. Tammy and the other stylist demanded that I pay the full amount $65 even though the job was only half done (that being because they started one hour later that they were suppose to). I offered to pay a reduced amount of $40 as I had to go home and hurriedly finish my own hair before my flight. THEY CALLED THE POLICE AND TAMMY PHYSICALLY BLOCKED THE ONLY EXIT. I called my mother (who was waiting for me outside to drive me home) and told her of the situation. As I didnt have the time to explain to them AND THE COPS why I shouldnt have to pay full price for a job half done I paid them the full price then went home to finish my hair.The audacity of these women to have me leave their salon with my hair absolutely wet and half done and still demand full price is staggering.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Tammy for years. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair since getting it colored and a silk press. She does an excellent job and does not rush when styling my hair. She went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased with all the services I received. She always communicates with me when it comes to proper care for my hair specifically growth and my scalp. If you want your hair styled right and want advice for how to take care of your hair, which is also important, then Tammy is the professional you need to see.

I need my hair done for the next day; I found Trendz by Tammy Black on google. I called, and Ms. Tammy told me to come on. I didnt have to wait once I arrived. Ms.Tania was very professional and welcoming, I told her what I wanted, and she did her thang. I love my hair, and Im glad she put her touch on my hairstyle. I will be going back soon. The atmosphere was calm and friendly. They were busy, and they still took care of their appointment and the walk-in customers. I found myself a new hairstylist.

I called Tammy because I was desperate. I just took my braids down and I needed to do SOMETHING with my hair. Tammy took me on short notice and did a fantastic job. I have no complaints.

Was looking for a place that handles natural hair. I wanted to color, trim and style. The lady had zero clients but gave me attitude as if it was for free. I just left and went to the galleria area that appreciates money and customer service. I would rather give $200 to someone that is going to treat me like a human being anyday!Response: As a professional black woman in this country you do not have to have an argument with someone to know they don’t want you there. Attitude speaks volumes and yes that is what I got at your location. So, why would I spend hundreds of $$$$ for this type of treatment? I spoke to you over the phone you were pleasant unfortunately your employee or colleague wasn’t when I went there. No harm done done just wasted time. My feedback remains the same is the famous words of Dr. Angelou “people forget what you said but never forget how you made them feel.”

I made an appointment with Tammy the owner on June 30 for a July 3 appointment at 10am. I paid a deposit. I arrived at 10am on Saturday. Nobody greeted me and I sat down in the waiting area across from another client who was waiting. 3 stylists which included Tammy (which I found out later who she was) had 4 clients in rotation and nobody was close to being done, so I knew I was going to be there a while. What I didnt know is by 10:40 am, I would still be waiting to be taken to a chair. At 10:10 a stylist came and asked me what my name was and what was I getting done? She advised me, she would be doing my services. She then took the waiting client with her and began doing her hair. If the owner or someone had of at least let me know they were running behind and be with me shortly, I would have been ok, but what I wasnt ok with is being a first time client and NOBODY bothered to show any type of good customer service.At 10:40am, Tammy asked does she have an appointment? At that moment, I realized it was time to go. I told them I see you all are very busy. Ill just come back another time. I got in my car and called the salon and Tammy answered. I asked her was she in the salon because keep in mind, I didnt know who she was. She said, Yes. I responded, What happened to my appointment? YOU LEFT! I was shocked when she said, I left. I asked her did she think 40 minutes with no contact was reasonable and she kept saying, you got up and walked out. When I attempted to speak about my expectation as a first time client, she told me Im not getting ready to argue back and forth with you. And abruptly hung up on me.If you dont mind being treated like you need us - we dont need you then this is your place! Completely unprofessional. Tammy had no reason to hang up on me other than her own inability to operate in a mature way with her client as the owner of a salon. All she had to do was apologize for the wait and seat me. ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD! Ive owned 2 salons in Chicago for years. I understand our culture, wait times, etc. - but there is NO EXCUSE for unprofessional behavior. None!

Ms. Tammy is very talented. I love trying out new hair styles but also very specific when it comes to my hair, and she always comes through.

I came to this place yesterday for an appointment with my mom. She has been wearing colored hair for over 15 years. She wanted a press and a layered cut. Before we drove all the way to the opposite side of town my mom called and spoke with Tammy over the phone to make sure she had the tools needed to style her hair. She asked her if she had a hot comb and the marcel irons that go in the stove and Tammy replied that she did. My mom informed the stylist that she was natural and was used to being styled with a hot comb and she said okay. Issues begin the moment I came into salon. I dropped my mom off at the door parked and went in after she did. I went in and neither stylist greeted me and one never bothered to look up from her phone and the other two just looked and never said “Hi how can I help you” instead it was more so of a what do want type of attitude. When I told them, I was there with my mom they told me to have a seat. My mom showed the stylist pictures of what it was she wanted and she should have been honest in the beginning and told her she was incapable of completing the style rather than being money hungry. My mom asked for a layered cut to help her hair grow out from breakage she had suffered. Tammy cut her hair but didn’t layer it instead she just butchered her hair and the next day my mom’s hair wasn’t styled or layer at all. In addition to that not one time did she turn on the stove to style my mom’s hair she only used an electric flat iron and it’s amazing to me that she did not think to press out my mom’s edges in the front or the back. So when she finished straightening her hair it was nappy at the roots. She did not use a heat protectant and she only used holding spray. Then asked my mom more than once to put edge control on her edges when my mom did not need that she simply needed her edges pressed. My mom even mentioned this to her and she still failed to deliver! When she curled my mom’s hair she didn’t really style it she just bumped the ends and my mom was not happy with the style but because they charge for the services before they even finish washing your hair good she had already gotten her money either way. Overall, I do not recommend the salon because I believe she is limited in her skill set. And I think she should learn how to use other tools to style hair other than an electric flat iron for convenience because those tools do not work on everyone’s hair especially if you are not putting any products on the hair to style it except hair spray. I also feel that all three stylist as a whole could learn to be more welcoming when new clientele comes in because they are not friendly at all I witnessed a potential customer who came in to see if she could get a style done and they were so dry with her so as a result she went somewhere else and one of the stylist was so into her phone she neglected one of her clients and didn’t give her a rinse. It is for certain that I will not come back to Sunny side for service from these ladies ever.I notice that you make negative comments to everyone who leaves a poor review. Rather than reflecting on what is said and using it to improve your services. Had I seen these reviews prior I would have advised that my mom go elsewhere because you are clearly set in your ways and do not think you can do any wrong. And that is unfortunate because we are not all just choosing to be mean or nasty, we are giving you real feedback so you should use it!Response: Lucky for you I have time today. You show just how unprofessional you are and I am glad that I am the last comment. If someones hair is as damaged as you claim then she would not have any hair on her head, and the breakage you speak of was unrelated to bad treatment it was due to stress. You clearly lack professionalism. And again my mom asked you to cut layers in her hair you FAILED to deliver that. I may have been in the foyer but notice I paid attention to everything that was going in that shop you did not address anything else I said because it was true. Your shop will continue to be empty as a result.

On The 6 of December 2020. I Googled up Black Owned Salons an Instantly I went with my first choice. Its funny how I have been searching for months prier. I say heaven sent me to her. Because my hair was totally damaged when I went in and came out a new me. I felt at home. Shes very gifted and talented. Her son is as amazing as her. They dont play nor do they keep you waiting. They get you in and out. Very Bless Indeed🙏🙏🙏🙏.. I will be returning back real soon. They gonna have to lock their doors on me. I found the right place to go to. An I found the right family to heal and nurture my hair back to life..🔥🔥💕💕😍😍💃💃

I am really sad at the fact that this relationship did not work out with Tammys TrendZ. I do love the way that my hair was changing. It was damaged by braids and medication. Tammy treated my hair beautifully. The problem that I have was the service. I used the sight to make an appointment because the sight gave me the option to do so. Tammy called me to advise that was not correct. How was I to know that. I did get an appointment for 12pm. I got to the salon at 11:45am. At 12:55 I was still waiting to be seen. I ended up just forfeiting the required deposit and walking out. I had an appointment at 3 to help my daughter try on wedding dresses and could not stay.

I found this salon on Google. It was near my house, and they welcomed walk-ins (within reason, during this pandemic, blessings to them for that!). My 4 year old had cut a chuck of her hair off during a scissor skills lesson in her virtual Preschool classes the day before! And it gave me the perfect excuse to get a desperately-needed-during-this-pandemic haircut.I called at the last minute for an appointment, and they were very nice about that. They understood my my situation, and they took good care of my baby girls situation while I also got my hair done. Due to the chunk of hair my child cut, she had to get a super-short Dora style, but the lady who cut it made it look so cute on her, and it is something I can maintain at home! And, she likes it, which as a parent, will go along way with helping my child with maintaining her own personal appearance!Meanwhile, I asked for a real hair cut (not a trim!) and a silk press. And, Tammy DELIVERED!!! She blew out my hair (her wonderful son helped!), and then proceeded to cut. It is even all around, and she gave me some cute curls, and I am loving my hair all over again!Thank you big time, for working us both in at the absolute last minute! And thank you for listening and giving us both what we wanted. We both left looking, and feeling, beautiful! We will be back!

Best salon experience ever... Ms. Tammy did miracles to my hair and both my daughters hair. We all have natural hair so its hard to find salons that promote natural hair but she was amazing. I watched her do several customers and never missed a beat. Very kind, professional experience. We drove from the Cypress area and I promise this is my new salon. Shes reasonable and worth the drive. Tammy took time with explaining the natural hair to virgin hair process and preformed it delicately on my hair. I enjoy my hairstyles and continue to to use her services bi weekly. Made an appointment a week ago cash app deposit as requested. Appointment for 04/29 only to be told by Tammy that shop was not taking walking in...very rude and unprofessional I might add...so I explained that I wasnt a walk in but a schedule appointment only to be informed that she doesnt have a stylist and I could come back tomorrow 🤣🤣🤣

Woman go to stylist to reach the optimal “feel good for self” mood.Vindication that this field is your purpose by the attitude feeling and lasting effect you provide for a person. The hair style is just the icing on the cake. We take away peace and growth opportunities when we speak prospectively. Acknowledging yourself as the giver of beauty, seduction and femininity gives you the burden of juggling many situations people and attitudes, however your response must match the service the person is coming to receive, if not no matter how good the work, it will be overshadowed by the lack of Godliness used to what was a misunderstanding.

After a botched hair style I was desperately looking for a salon that was open On Sunday in hope that they could give me some type of workable style that would allow me to go to work on Monday. I called Tammy about 7pm in a Saturday with the hopes of leaving a message, to my surprise she answered. I told her what happened and what I was looking for. Tammy gave me an appointment for first thing Sunday morning. After a thorough evaluation of the hairstyle I had received she gave me a very honest assessment of what could be done. Very good experience. I was looking for a stylist really late for a wash, trim, and silk press. I was immediately serviced. My hair was detangled and washed throughly. My hair was so soft, shiny, and flowy after the service. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will return.

Saturday morning was my first appointment with Tammy and her staff and i had a lovely experience.Coming in i had no idea what to expect, i have little knowledge on how to manage my hair and had no idea of what to do. Tammy, seeing I was quite anxious and all over the board patiently listened, then helped me in find what i needed done to treat my hair. I left with it feeling light and healthy. I visited the salon on June 21 and I wasnt sure what to expect because I was a walk in. However, I was treated with the care, respect and professionalism that you would give a regular customer. I only waited about 10 or 15 minutes and all of the stylist were friendly and professional. I was serviced by a young lady named Myeshia (i hope that is correct) and she did and excellent job on my hair. I have been receiving compliments every where I go for the last couple of days. I believe she is completing her last few hours of cosmetology classes but I have no doubt she will be a wonderful stylist. I especially appreciated how Ms. Tammy and her worked together to make sure I had a good experience. I will definitely go back.

Please if you want to do your hair do not come to this shop! The business owner does not care about the client. Ive been getting my dreads retwisted here for 2 years now and I walk out with better results each time. The environment is beyond comfortable and all the stylists are professional and laid back.

I was told to walk in at anytime and I asked specifically could I come within 30 minutes because I live 30 minutes away and I had my 4 month old with me and I was told to go ahead because there was no wait but I get there and there’s about 10-15 people ahead of me. Tammy the owner is unprofessional she picks and choose who she will be professional with. She has an attitude and makes you feel very uncomfortable when you walk in. Very awkward silence like she doesn’t want to answer your questions. She also tried to do my boyfriend hair before as well 2 small braids but completely didn’t do a good job he hated it and took them out the same day and she also took hours to do that. Would not recommend or go back.

Tammy is absolutely amazing. She made herself available for not me but my daughter. It was hard to find a salon that does kids hair. Tammy took her time and made us feel right at home. My daughter loves her hair...I love it. I highly recommend her for adults and KIDS.

I believe there is always room for improvement no matter what establishment you may visit . My hopes are that the owner will consider them for professional growth ....1. Make prices more transparent in the shop and to the public via website .2. Only allow licensed help and professionals to touch clients hair.3. Do not overbook appts. Customers are paying a deposit . They should not have to pay a deposit to book an appointment and wait for hours to get their hair done. This allows special one on one with and develop stylist /customer relationship.Additionally , create a better process and implement a timeframe for walkins so prepaid customers can have their one on one.4. Place a sign upon walking in the shop at the very front stating monies will be collected before styling is rendered and put that information on the website . This is more professional and upfront to the customer .

I have seen many good reviews but do not believe! This place is a shame, the owner is rude and impatient. She really needs to adjust that attitude of hers about treating people. The customer is always right, but she only cares about her needs, she does not communicate in a respectful manner at all. She is pushy, mean and bossy. If you are not from houston, do not come to her!

It was my first time there and I loved the outcome of my hair. However, I wish my stylist would have been a little more personable and inviting. I didnt get friendly vibes and maybe its her personality but as a first time customer, I want a wonderful salon experience all the way around. Ive been getting my hair care at Trendz By Tammy for 3-4 years now. I am an extremely busy professional and I own my own business, so its imperative for me to be able to get in and out in a timely fashion. The Trendz by Tammy salon has always been able to accommodate my appointment times, and Ive never been late to an event or a meeting. Additionally, I deal with high profile clients, so my hair must have a professional appearance. I have long, very thick natural hair which I get washed and straightened. What takes other salons in the Houston area 4 hours to complete, only takes Trendz by Tammy 2 hours, which is a HUGH PLUS for me. Ive been in Houston for 9 years, and Ive tried multiple hair dressers (people who burned my hair, or couldnt get it straight, or had bad attitudes, or cost way too much. I even struggled for a while trying to do my hair myself). None of the other salons came close to the quality of service, consistency and value that Trendz by Tammy provides. My hair is so fabulous, most people think I have a perm even though I dont, and my hair has grown tremendously since Ive been going there! Even when I feel like rocking a natural style they deliver 100%. I am thrilled, blessed and fortunate that I found Trendz by Tammy salon! I only wish I found them sooner!

All of the staff were warm and welcoming from the time I stepped in the door. I had been natural for 4 years and went in for a virgin relaxer. Tammy did a marvelous job. She was very knowledgeable about the relaxing process and made me feel very comfortable. My scalp burning was one of my biggest worries and I had no issues with that at all. I saw the staff take care of natural, relaxed, locked, and short hair. They all do an amazing job! GO SEE TAMMY!

Ive been here 3 times and every time I came I left very happy with my silk press.. Specifically 2 weeks ago when secret did my hair it was beautiful! I will be going back tomorrow morning for another silk press🤗 cant speak for everyone but my experience every time has been great! And Im all for supporting black owned businesses!

I am in Houston for my husbands cancer treatments, and needed my natural hair given some love and finished with a silk press. I did some Google work, and Tammy was the first to show in the list. It was her story and photos of professional styles that urged me to contact her. She answered, heard my story, and told me to come! She did the full works, and three days later, I still extremely pleased with the outcome!! I will be back when I am in the area.

My first time here and the ladies were absolutely pleasant, kind, and engaging. I was serviced at my scheduled time, and that within itself was awesome. I got my natural hair wash/conditioned, cut and styled. I went in for a trim, and Tammy went over and above my expectations. In addition to making my hair walk on its own with all of the body I had, she educates and shares her knowledge of natural hair care. When I tell you my hair follows me everywhere I go, its amazing, how light and flowing it feels. I definitely would recommend this salon, she is genuine and really cares about hair.

I went to this salon about 2 weeks ago. I was a little skeptical because Im use to just doing my own hair. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Tammys stylist. I immediately felt comfortable. She took her time looking at my hair and explained what services I needed to my hair. My hair is natural and if you have natural hair you know how it can be. Lol Tammy did my hair and after she finished my hair was soft, bouncy and looked so healthy. She is an excellent hair stylist and definitely an expert in her field. If you are looking for a hairstylist, I definitely recommend this salon.

I was nervous on getting my hair done by someone who I do not know. The reason I gave them a try was b/c the lady who used to do my hair went back to the Islands and I was tired of doing the weaves. I enjoyed my time at Trendz by Tammy, they were so nice and professional. Mrs. Tammy took her time to educated me about my hair and how to take care of it. My hair was really damaged because of all the weaves. Everyone was so friendly I felt right at home with them. I got a relaxer, deep condition, cut style and a color treatment. My hair is so beautiful and its more than I pictured it to be I have received several compliments on my hair and its only been a couple of hours of having it done. I really appreciate Mrs. Tammy taking her time out to take care of me. from my initial contact with her on the telephone to actually meeting her in person I enjoyed it. The price was reasonable for everything she done for me, I am more than happy with Trendz by Tammy and I will be seeing you in 2 weeks

Not only did Tammy do a great job on my hair she gave me the knowledge on how to take care of my hair and make it healthy again. She made me feel comfortable with getting a relaxer on natural my hair. I was natural for 3 years my hair was damaged very badly when I came to her salon. Honestly this is the healthiest my hair has been in a while. I was very impressed with her staff work also. Ive been going to Tammy for almost three years. I found her online because I was tired of wearing weaves and wigs and wanted to wear my own hair. The reason I was wearing weaves and wigs was my hair is soft and fine and it really did not style well with the length that I had so I decided to get my hair cut short. I was looking for someone who can do good short hair cuts. My have is soft and fine and I really needed someone with experience as it is so easy to mess up soft and fine hair. I am always pleased with the way Tammy cuts and styles my hair. I get so many compliments and it looks so good. Every time I leave her shop, I have a smile on my face! I definitely would recommend Tammy if you want an experienced hair stylist and you want your hair to look good.

Let me tell you...... Tammy absolutely SLAYED MY HAIR!!!! I have very thick natural hair and she took her time going through it. I went in to get my virgin natural hair colored and trimmed and then I later decided to get it styled and that was the best decision I ever made in regards to who I get my hair done by. It was so beautiful I was LITERALLY in the mirror crying like a big baby! Everyone in there are just so nice and welcoming! If they have food they share it with the clients. They do their best to make you feel at home! I will continue to go to her to keep my natural hair up and growing long. Please do not pay attention to the negative reviews if any. I was a first time client and my expectations we OVERLY met! Tammy is AMAZING and I would recommend her to anyone!

I had an awesome experience here. First, I walked in devastated ready to chop it all off, but after talking to Ms.Tammy she gave me hope to hold on. She is very knowledgeable and gave me some pointers on how to maintain my hair and make it healthier. Ms. Tammy is not only a great professional stylist who knows her craft, she cares enough about her customers to speak bluntly and truthfully to them letting them know what is best. Ms. Tammy is not rude, but she is skilled, mature, and confident. We as client should appreciate her craft and be respectful.Im a Professor with a PhD who teaches at two universities, work for the government, and have patronized several hair salons, and by far Trendz by Tammy is one of my best experience.

My husband called about bringing our girls. She told him we could just walk in. I should have known better. This spot is a typical black salon. When we arrived, there were 3 people working, 4 women in chairs, 3 women waiting. Another woman arrived the owner was pretty short with her. Someone else arrived asking for a co salutation for 2 girls.... then she surveys all people witing to see what everyone was getting and telling us it works be a long wait. I decided I wasnt going to wait several hours waiting. I took my girls elsewhere. Probably wont go back so I cant tell you if their work is any good.

Okay people, this place should have a sign that says AVOID AVOID AVOID! I mean it. I read many reviews that says lovely things about this place and the owner, and my conclusion is that she or her friends made those remarks and reviews. I had an appointment, drove 1hr to the shop and got there exactly 2mins to the appointment, everywhere was locked I called, no response, I waited till 5mins after the time and called again, no response. She finally arrived 9mins later and the 1st thing she said to me was why are you calling me no warm welcome. That was the greatest shock I ever I had. And she goes on and on about customers calling her even a minute b4 appointment and how she hates it. WHAT A WELCOME PARTY FOR A CUSTOMER YOU ARE MEETING FOR THE 1ST TIME! and she adds that I may think that she is rude, but it is not her business what I think. I literally mean every word I am saying. The only thing that made me stayed and had the worst hair cut is because she has a policy of customers making payment of $25 to her through cashapp, which I already made 2days b4 my appointment. It was an awful experience! I tried zero star but it wont post, so kindly ignore the one star.

Best hair shop ever. They were very pleasant to say the least. I have very thick grace 4c natural hair and was reluctant to add new color to my hair. Tammy was very understanding of my wants and was also very informative of what I needed. I received a deep conditioner, trim, color (I believe is my new signature color) blow out and straightening. I left feeling so great. The two ladies worked very fast and efficiently as well as communicated and advised me of every step along the way. Did I mention Ive been natural a little over 3 years and this is my first time straightening. Im absolutely in love with this hair. my visit date was 12/11/15.

I moved from Houston to DFW, but still drive down every 3 or 4 months. I go see them to get my hair done before I even go see my mama! I have never been dissatisfied with my hair. I relocated to the Houston area and had tried several hairstylist and was looking for someone that did not just do hair, but cared about the overall health of their client’s hair. Tammy exceeded my expectations and I have really high expectations and had serious hair anxiety. Finding a nice female hair stylist that is excellent at what they do and really listens to you is hard to find so Tammy has a new customer. Highly recommended

I have visited this shop in the past a few times for a dye and keratin treatment as it is very convenient and close to the area I live. I must say Tammy does amazing hair and is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced stylist however she is rude. Several people have stated the same thing and they all cant be lying. It seems as if she treats the new customers or the customers that dont frequent the shop this way. Anyway, great customer service skills go a long way.

Her place has a calm spirit. She really knows what she is doing. Ms. Tammy is very confident in her work. I didnt have to tell her how I wanted my hair. She just did what she do and I love it. I wish I would have read the reviews first being a new customer but I was in a desperate situation I called the owner to see if their was availability she said they had availability and I asked her how much for a silk press I explained to her that I just had this treatment done the day before however I sweated it out she said $60 but it depends on if it needs to be revamped or redone all together when I got there the owner was not there but the lady that greeted me was nice and told me to wait until the owner got back I only waited for 5 min which isn’t to bad she told me to sit in a chair I waited for like 10 minutes I paid $60 for a shampoo and condition literally which to me should have been less cuz the process was not at all a full silk press remind you I just had the service a day before now I don’t know that much about hair but I know and can feel and pay attention to the steps that are being done to my head I was put on hold again for over an hour while she finish another customer hair the lady that did my hair was very sweet but the owner was very rude and does not acknowledge her customers i don’t know nobody names and they didn’t know mines it was “excuse me” I listened to her argue with the client in her chair over and over about her hair which was weird to me because the client was told one price and ended up paying more which had nothing to do with me but witnessing this was crazy I don’t know if the lady who did my hair had credentials or not but she seriously burned me to many times and pulled on my hair way to much with the flat iron I didn’t like how they wanted money upfront I would recommend if you are looking for professional customer service all around try going to salon meyerland great environment and they don’t expect anything but for you to leave pleased I will not be back to this salon and my head is still tingling from the burns please please read the reviews before considering hopefully they’ll get better with new customers since she is a well knowledgeable hairstylist whose been in business for 25 years “SAD”side note: read the responses from the owner on every review that was poor if you know better you’ll do betterQuick update: since this lady has time to narcissistically respond showing just how professional she is I’m short so my feet were crossed not literally on her chair come on now I can’t be embarrassed in a shop with 4 people and yes my husband did come over more then once because he was getting impatient with how long an hour service was taking nothing was communicated about other customers coming back to finish hair which would have been understood and you can’t ear hustle what can be heard conversation starts with the owner of a shop silly 🙃 I’m PAYING you like I said my head is still tingling and I will not be back no need to argue your response lady✌🏾

Dang guys, I read all your reviews and was excited to visit this salon. I must have showed up on a bad day. I made an appointment online last night for today, Friday, at 11am. I received an email this morning saying that the time was fine.I showed up at 10:56am. There was no receptionist at the front desk, a couple of stylists engaged with clients, and a stylist (?) sitting near the front receptionist area eating McDonalds. No one acknowledged my arrival. At 11:16, I went to the bathroom in the back. When I returned to the front, the lady had finished eating her McDs, and asked what I was there for. I explained I made my appointment online and was there for a cut. She said OK, then drifted to the back area to chat with the stylist and client that was working back there. At 11:30, the McDonalds lady left the shop.I waited until 11:35 before I decided to leave. On my way out, I encountered the McD lady standing outside the salon door, chatting on the phone. What a disappointment. Never again.Later on that day, I went to my usual $6.99 haircut place downtown on Fannin near the old Sears. Elias hooked me up in 20 minutes after a 5 minute wait. I really wanted to experience a real salon with the shampoo, deep conditioner, cut, etc.Guess Ill just keep it simple and do my own at home, and go back to picking out my hair to prep for my no frills cut downtown. 😂

I have been going to Tammy for around two years and the service has been fantastic. People always compliment my rollersets and I love how they turn out. She is all about healthy hair and making your hair look its very best. i like that she always uses top of the line products as well. It is so convenient not having to worry about my hair. I recently came to the Houston area, and I was looking for a hair salon. Im very particular about letting people put chemicals in my hair. She what she was going to do and a color that she had in mind and also how it was going to look on my hair, I said OK. When my hair was done it was GORGEOUS!!! Tammy is hands down the BEST stylist ever. Im a flight attendant with very little time, just moved to Houston from VA, and with my busy new life I let my hair go. My hair was so damaged from not getting my touch ups, and not taking care of my relaxed hair. My hair was dry, brittle, and breaking. Tammy took me as a last minute appointment and did a complete 180 with my hair! Im still amazed, shes so friendly and very easy to get in touch with. If you arent good at taking care of your hair or just have a super busy life, Tammy will make your hair manageable and healthy. I came in today to get my deadlocks re twisted I have been searching for the right salon for a while now. My experience was wonderful here. The staff was very polite and professional.
