We recently moved into a new house and Republic Services is our trash service. As soon as we could, we set up delivery of our cans so that we could begin getting rid of all the trash we were accumulating through our move in. The trash days in our neighborhood our Monday and Thursday. At first they told us our cans would be delivered Monday morning. In time to have our trash picked up the same day. By the late afternoon they had not arrived and we called to see about it. We were then told the cans would be delivered Wednesday. We were disappointed but since Thursday is the other trash day it would still work out we figured. Wednesday came and same thing, by late afternoon no cans had been delivered. We called and were told they would escalate our case and that the cans should be delivered by the end of the day. No cans ever arrived. We could get rid of our trash elsewhere in the meantime, but why? We are currently paying for service from Republic Services and they are not providing it to us... and we honestly are starting to believe they dont care either. Now we have to wait until next week again. Very disappointed and frustrated. Do not recommend at all.

Signed up for residential garbage pickup in June. The cans were supposed to be delivered July 2nd, then when they didnt show up were rescheduled to July 7th, then when they didnt show up were rescheduled for July 12th and guess what... Didnt show up. Also nobody could tell us if we got 2 cans 1 pickup weekly or 1 can 2 pickups weekly. Terrible customer service, just give you the run around, talk to 5 diff people and have to explain the entire issue each time yet still no resolve. Garbage may be the business but as far as Im concerned republic is in fact garbage

Called 3 times for a trash bin. Finally received a dirty one today after two weeks. No word on recycle bin request. Due to Balmoral HOA, I have no choice with trash pick up. On a Monday I was told it would be there next Thursday. Thursday came and I was told, someone will contact you to schedule a bin delivery. One week goes by no contact. Called a third time, came back from work today to a dirty bin sitting in front of my house.

Driver yelled at my mom and rudely told her to move her car then aggressively took the trash.

I was with Republic for 10 yrs and always had billing issues with them. Their prices would always fluctuate and I would always have to call & get a explanation on why my bill would go up. It wasnt until my neighbor, who also had Republic, mentioned to me to always keep an eye on our bill because their bill would always fluctuate as well & sometimes increase by $20 for no reason. Their explanation would always be base rate & fuel charges had increase in our area but even though they were servicing customers on the same street, our billing amounts were always different, at times by even as much as $80. Our area had also started having a lot of missed pick up days on our trash.. One year, my bill had increase by as much as $100 within a year until I called, after explaining to them that I was really upset for getting overcharged & ready to discontinue by services with them, they gave me a $120 decrease on my bill. But slowly my bill would start increasing eventually & again I would have to call again. Finally this year I noticed a new trash company serving our area & decided to give them a try. Im so happy with our rate & service they have been providing us for the past 8 months.

Missed a whole month of service at my business. After I complained and they sent a pick up the next day then the following month I get an extra charge for the container being too full and their monthly price suddenly went up as well. Two years of service and I complain once and they try to charge an extra 150$. What a spiteful business. After a month still trying to get this sorted out and while I am calling to try to speak to a person that can handle the situation I am getting calls that I owe month every few days. Don’t use this service find someone else that what I am doing.

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. We have been in contact with customer service since November 21 regarding our recycle container delivery. The local division keeps failing to deliver our recycle container week after week despite our efforts of contacting them about it continuously over the past few weeks. Customer service keeps rescheduling the delivery with no avail. Apparently the local division is “too busy” to deliver it. My community has also had missed pickups at fault of Republic. They are beyond unreliable. All we get are lies from the billing department. It’s extremely frustrating that you can’t even speak to anyone at the local division AT ALL. There’s no direct contact number, nor can anyone in customer service/billing transfer you to speak with them. I have never had issues like this with any other company. Unfortunately the HOA in my community decided to switch to Republic from Waste Management. Many in my community suspect that the switch was because someone on the HOA board knows someone who is benefiting/pocketing from our contract with Republic Services. We have reason to believe that because Waste Management was phenomenal and reliable. Never had any issues with them at all. The consensus in our community was that we were happy with WM. We heard/read a lot of negative things about the poor customer service that Republic provides, and so far it’s been true. I am also going to report them to the BBB. This is completely unacceptable.

At first I had no problem with them picking up my trash we been with them for quite some time, but last Wednesday and this Wednesday they have not picked my trash and it’s just piling up.. anyone knows about another good garbage??? Is not like we are not paying them...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!Our business contracted a recycle dumpster in April of 2016 for a term of 3 years. In April of 2017 they increased the price 13%; in September of 2017 it went up to 15%; November of 2017 to 16%; in January of 2018 they jumped to a 34% increase. This continued every couple of months until finally, in November of 2018 they had reached a full 100% increase over the contracted rate. I called and they agreed to return to the original rate but their only explanation for the rate increases was “this is an open market; we can increase the rate whenever we want to”.I emailed my sales rep for MONTHS with no response. I called customer service OVER and OVER, requested a “corporate escalation” 3 times. Finally, after FOUR MONTHS, my sales rep responded and said they would pick up the dumpster per my request. I responded that I never requested that. They picked it up anyway. I don’t know how these people stay in business.

Worst trash pick up service I’ve ever been forced to use. Republic regularly skips our street but we still have to pay for services... They missed our bulk pick up last Monday. I submitted a request online to come back and pick up the mattress they missed. They missed that. We called and they scheduled another pick up... When I saw our mattress still outside at 3pm on the scheduled day, I called again. They sent a message to the driver to make sure they come get it.... annnndddd nooopppeee!! Still there as of 8am today. Now, soaking wet from all the storms.. Smh. Awful awful service.

They overcharged me. Called them many times to resolve the issue and spoke to at least 3 different people. Each person I spoke to told me they would fix the issue but they didnt. Customer service/billing departments earned this company 1 star.

They have horrible customer service. Its been 2 weeks that they dont pick up my trash on Wednesdays. I call and they tell me they will come on Thursday, I then keep calling and they keep telling me they will come but no one ever does. They never give me any resolutions they just have me waiting. Ridiculous and unprofessional

When you need them, they dont show up, dont tell you why, and leave you stranded. They are inexpensive, but they are super unreliable.

Only picked my trash up once said they were short drivers didnt provide service for 3 weeks..what a joke and they said they could credit my account for 3.00 supervisor name was Chris he was very Rude!

They skip my pickup at my house about every other week. Wish we could get Waste Management back in Walden on Lake Houston.

This company does not serve at all, do not go to collect the garbage as agreed but the bill never goes down, as it is possible to charge for a service that is not happening, disgusting company, I am totally disappointed, looking for new company.
