As for the store, great prices & products. There’s always a great sale & beautiful, distinctive pieces.The reason I’m giving 3 stars is due to the CONSISTENTLY RUDE sales associate, I believe her name is Natasha (older Caucasian lady with an accent). I’ve never had a good experience with her, even on the phone. When I’ve visited the store she’s cold, stoic, follows you around and acts as if you’re garbage.My mother once visited with me and inquired about piece, the associate responded with “it’s very expensive”, and walked off. If you’re lucky to visit, ask for the male associate, JD I think his name is. He goes by his initials, and he’s a gem!As for the lady, she makes the experience less than pleasurable and downright uncomfortable.

If you have $ and want buy a fur, right place. For nice and honest service you might drive a bit further half way to Galleria on right.

I have purchased several furs from Sakowitz over the last 40 years, and so has my Mother & Sister. Ruben is a Sakowitz fixture. He Always takes care of me! JR was so nice & very accommodating to my Mother & myself. Gorgeous furs & accessories of exceptional quality, are the hallmark that is Sakowitz Furs!

Their accessories are so fashionable. I got a mink headband and mink hair tie that really shows off my hair! They have Rex rabbit scarfs as well. There is something for everyone here, and they treat you with courtesy and professionalism regardless if you are purchasing big ticket or smaller ticket items.

This place took OVER 2 MONTHS to alter a fur vest. I was told it would take ONLY four weeks. Not only is the staff incredibly rude, they are deceiving about the time to alter. If I had known how long it would take, I would have brought the vest somewhere else. I came into Sakowitz at the beginning of January. Not only was I ignored for the first 15 minutes, but the sales consultant that assisted me conveyed that she would rather be doing anything else but assist me. Natasha, the rude sales rep, then told me she would call me in when it was ready. Its mid-March and still NO call. Then when I had called to remind them that about my alterations, the staff there acted as if they lost it, which frightened me due to the fact that I hold a lot of sentiment for this item.This place was recommended to me by my mothers friends and I am terribly disappointed in their customer service and over all apathetic attitude. This place may have been the place to go for fur coats in the 60s and 70s, but a few words to my fellow Generation Y cohort: Take your fur somewhere else, because it looks like this place is going down hill.Also, their interior decor needs a serious facelift. Someone needs to tell their interior designer that the 80s are not back and the gaudy outdated staircase and tacky statues got to go.

I pick up my fur from layaway, after paying I had forgotten what the coat looked like. Sandra the manager helped me to change my mind on my fur purchase. Rubin is a good salesman. Thanks everyone for the excellent service.

I bought a full length mink coat two years ago for my mother. In the winter, if its 40 degrees or what the woman wears her fur and loves the compliments she gets. Great coat for a great value. And excellent service

Natasha was a wonderful saleslady, most gracious. She was warm and friendly, sold me a fur that was in tune with my personality. I never felt pressured and she never made me feel inferior, even though I had purposely dressed down to see how she would treat me. I saw a really mean review that was written about her;it was totally unjust, she is a warm, sweet person with kind eyes.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Natasha has taken care of me the last two times and was wonderful. She has great taste and knows their stock if youre in the market for anything.

Went in to get a gift for my mother, the staff was so friendly and, knowing nothing about fur, very informative. There was a blonde woman there with a soft Russian accent who walked me through everything and was very sweet. Prices were decent and they offer a lot of other services in regards to furs.

There is a woman with a (Russian?) accent who gave me the rudest customer service I’ve ever received in my life. I just came in to get an appraisal for my full length mink...

I thought this place was only fur place in Houston. They charge arm and leg to repair and cleaning. They charged me over $1000 and they forgot to write my name they supposed to do over new lining. But they did good job on reparations, new lining and cleaning. The store is well presented but people working there are not friendly. I dont know how they doing business all these years. I am puzzled .Driving to post oak is like going to hell. I will not driving there for get my name on the new lining. Thank you for offering. You should done everything before call me it is ready to pick it up. You dont know how much I despise to go to the Galleria area. Traffic was already bad before these construction. Now its hell.

Sakowitz has been in the fur business since I was a kid! They have beautiful merchandise and can do whatever you require to fur! I have been a customer for years!! Professional Services! Prices are great! You wont be disappointed!!

Great service! My husband and I got beautiful, custom made furs for a very fair price. They have a huge selection and even have matching hats. We will be back!

Not that crazy about their new store because it seems really cold and is not an inviting environment. I liked their previous location. Normally several employees but when I went to pick up my two furs only one person there.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful! The prices were Definitely reasonable and I appreciated their honesty. From now on, Sakowitz Furs will be the Only place I go to purchase, store and restyle my furs.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went to do a restyling for a mink fur, Natasha helped me. She charged me $1600; since Im not a fur specialist I assumed this was ok so I left it. After leaving, I spoke with a friend and she mentioned that maybe I should get another bid so I called to cancel my order and let them know I would pick it up later. During the call she started negotiating the price down which made me very uncofortable. I go to respectable places like this one so I can avoid exactly this. You assume you will pay a fair price and that they wont overcharge you just because.When I came in to pick it up the service was even worse. Very disrespectful lady. What a bad experience.

Lots of variety, and what Ive seen or bought has been well-priced for the quality. Reuben and JR couldnt be any more helpful and knowledgeable, either.
