This place is amazing. I seriously wish Id found it sooner. Deciding to begin counseling was a hard step for me to take, but their staff immediately put me at ease. Setting up my first appointment was easy. The environment was tranquil and soothing. I really connect with my therapist and look forward to my next appointment. I feel like I won the lottery with this place. I would highly recommend the GRC for all your counseling needs.

I absolutely love this place. My therapist is amazing, the staff is professional and prompt with customer service. The offices are beautifully decorated and have soothing sounds constantly playing in their lobby which makes for a relaxing wait until your appointment time. They have an electronic receptionist which makes signing in for your appointment a breeze. I wish I had decided on going to counseling here sooner. Make an appointment and check it out for yourself!

Being a single parent can be quiet the challenge at times. My 16 year old son and I were in great need of counselling. About 7 months ago we went through a very traumatic situation and I found myself lost as a parent. Not knowing how to deal with it personally or for my son I turned to Grief Recovery. At first I wasnt sure as I have never reached out for help. From the first phone call I made to them all my apprehension was gone. The therapist they paired me with was phenomenal. She was not only able to help me and my son with the problems we came in with. She also gave me great insight and new ways of thinking on how to make the relationship between my son and I begin to grow deeper roots together. This has got to be the greatest thing I have ever done for my son and I.Thank you Grief Recovery

You can find a great counselor anywhere; NO star rating on the business aspect! Google wont allow me to do No Star rating. This practice is not clear about billing at all! They overcharged me for sessions, noticed their mistake and had to refund me 3 months later. There is no reminder for your appointments and if you forget, they charge you 3X your copay! Dont visit a practice whose financials are a surprise!

I went to this place one time when I had severe anxiety. The counselor made me feel worse because the only thing she ever asked me was “and how did that make you feel?” and she gave me a little sheet at the end with meditation exercises. If I recall correct I paid $70 out of pocket for that visit. I was hoping for more dialogue, more actually therapy about what was causing my anxiety, or more of a realistic approach to my issues. I felt ignored and hopeless when I left and it made me feel like what is the point of therapy. I wrote this today because here I am battling this again and starting my journey for a good therapist and thinking about my past experience just triggered me. I won’t return here but hopefully this isn’t the standard approach to therapy.

This place is amazing. If i would have found this sooner I would have probably been in a better headspace. This is something I never thought I would do ,but their staff immediately made me feel welcome. From setting up my appointments to getting me in to see the therapist was a very smoothe transition. Its a very nice place where you can let your guard down and be at ease. My therapist was so awesome that it makes me look forward to my next appointments. I feel like I finally found a great outlet for myself. I would highly recommend the GRC for all counseling needs.

Singlehandedly the most incompetent Counselor I’ve ever experienced. Unsure how this practice has maintained their Current level of rating and fear for other individuals, couples, and families seeking services at a true time of need and vulnerability. Imposing ones own values as a therapist into a couples counseling session, invalidating and splitting my spouse and I before my eyes. I’d only recommend going to this practice if you’re expecting to have an outdated, bias and one-sided “Counselor” impose their personal beliefs into your already distressing life that causes one to seek out professional help.

This place is amazing! I called to inquire about services for one of my students. The front desk person was attentive, patient and answered all of my questions! Navigating the mental health system can be exhausting but the Grief Recovery center made it easy. The process to get an appointment for my student was efficient and comforting. They made sure they assigned my student to a therapist who was most appropriate for her situation. I would definitely recommend this place to friends, family and clients.

I have put my trust in Grief Recovery Center three time throughout the last four years and each time I was disappointed. The first therapist I visited for couples therapy, the therapist could not divert conflict during the session and we ended the session both storming out in anger. The second therapist is supposed to be the best in the practice specializing in PTSD. During the session when I shared my experiences, she looked at me wide eyed, eyebrows raised as if what I was telling her seemed strange or weird or something crazy. She had judgement on her face majority of the session. The third time I decided to see a new therapist. I set my appointment by phone and added it to my calendar before I hung up. The day of the appointment, I called and was told that my appointment was 2 hours earlier and I was charged a $120 cancellation fee because a confirmation email was sent out two days prior. I book appointments for a living and manage calendars. I believe we set 3pm and the person set my appointment for 1pm. They would not refund the fee but were happy to book another appointment. They lost a potential client because instead of thinking of all possibilities for the reason the time was booked wrong, they blamed me and penalized me on my first appointment. I had a lot of hope for GRC from what I read, but it seems like they care more about their image and money than their patients. I would not recommend

I had the worst experience ever calling this office. I attempted to call this to schedule a appointment . The receptionist, Maggie Diaz, answered my call. After she pulled file I noticed she had incorrect information regarding the reason I was calling. Then she was still trying to match me to a therapist not knowing the underlying issue I had. Her tone was condescending, she abruptly cancels the search. I ask to speak to a supervisor regarding this. We hang up. I attempted to call back. MAGGIE DIAZ BLOCKS MY NUMBER! SHE BLOCKS MY NUMBER! Im a person seeking mental health services and I cant get a hold of the office because the receptionist blocks my number. WOW!

Just set an appointment for couples counseling for my fiancé and myself and Maggie Diaz was super helpful, friendly and answered all of my questions and I ask way too many questions as it is anyway!! Definitely recommended and any kind of counseling that helps with our human condition is welcome in my book and I am very hopeful by the changing tide in this country regarding mental health and all that that entails. No one should feel minimized, marginalized, guilty or shameful for reaching out and seeking help. Ever. One of the smartest people I know is a paranoid schizophrenic (God I hate that term it’s sooo demeaning!) and he controls the voices and he thrives in this world. We are all God’s children are we not? There are over 8.5 Billon people in this world and they all have different fingerprints, dental records, eyes and souls. This is NO accident. This is by DESIGN. God loves all of his children trust that!!Peace and love always.❤️😉😎😇💪😊👌☺️☝️❤️❤️❤️
