Maria is fantastic, professional, knowledgeable, and very clean. Because electrolysis is permanent hair removal, unlike laser hair removal, patience is required. Everyone is different and all areas respond differently. Some people get permanent hair loss within a few sessions, but that is not the case for me. I’ve been seeing Maria for a little over a year now 2-4 times per month and we are probably half way done. I’m an exceptionally difficult case because the hair follicles at my bikini line contain 3 hairs so the process is long, but so worth it! My hair growth has significantly reduced along with the number of hairs per follicle. I’m so excited to see the final result.

Maria is so warm and kind with the way she explains things,the procedure itself and how comfortable she made me feel. Don’t get fooled with those 1 star reviews, they don’t get the nature of electrolysis system. It supposed to take time to get rid of hair, but you know what? Most likely gone forever! I have no complaints, way less pain than waxing and about the same as laser with way better results but you gotta be patient to see results. Also your skin will thank you on the long run. María does a great job taking care of each detail, in my case I have a very sensitive skin and she adjusts the intensity to get a more comfy sessions while keeping effectiveness at the same time. I’m pretty happy with the results so far, I highly recommend to do your research first before complaining about it.

I am a previous client of Marias; however at this time I do not wish to disclose my name. Please do not let the positive reviews persuade you. Ive been coming to Maria for years and havent seen a difference. The area being treated was minor. I took before and after pictures after each appointment and did not see a difference. Therefore, I finally decided to see another esthetician. I told my new tech how many years i was receiving treatment and she was shocked!! Maria always used a lower setting; therefore, I never saw a difference. Its quite disappointing how shes swindling clients into staying longer and prolonging their treatment. There are other great electrolysis clinics so please do not bother with this place. I simply want individuals to be aware because I can understand how frustrating unwanted hair can be. Please do not waste your time here.

I had my first ever electrolysis treatment with Maria, and it couldnt have gone better. An amazing experience! Firstly, I loved that she took the time to thoroughly explain the hair growth cycle and how electrolysis works. She answered every question I could ever have. The office was very clean. I had my first treatment about a week ago on my neck. Keep in mind my hair is very coarse(I have curly hair) and stubborn & it grows very fast!! So far I havent had any new growth. I had an ingrown that was pretty deep and she went ahead and treated/removed that as well! With no pain! I am super impressed and pleased with Marias service. I have had several sessions with Maria. She goes above and beyond to make sure her client is comfortable and satisfied. She’s truly passionate about her work and wants to produce great results for her clients. I have hirsutism and dealing with it could be frustrating for many people. She suggested me to visit endocrinologist to find cause of unwanted hair growth.For people dealing with hirsutism:After visiting endocrinologist, I tested with normal hormone levels. My endocrinologist me told that sometimes high hormone levels causes hirsutism and sometimes people have hirsutism even with normal hormone levels because everyone’s body is different and reacts differently even with normal hormone levels. My doctor has given me a low dose of birth control to help with hirsutism. It will regulate hormones better and weaken hair follicles on unwanted hair body parts. Whoever is suffering from hirsutism should go visit a specialist to know the underlying cause and medication because without it, you wouldn’t see any good results with electrolysis.

I have very course hair on my chest area and Im prone to having dark follicles and ingrown hairs, as well as multiple hairs growing from the same follicle. Essentially, its kind of a mess on my chest which was making it difficult to wear low cut tops and swimsuits even if I shave or wax the area. Therefore, I have been coming to Elegant Electrolysis monthly for almost 3 years now. In the beginning my sessions were weekly, however over time my sessions moved to biweekly and now I come in only once a month because the rate of my hair growth has significantly slowed down which indicates that the sessions are working. My ingrown hairs have slowly been healing and there are less dark follicles on my chest. I still have some ways to go because I halted my sessions for 4 months when the pandemic started but so far I am happy with my results. It is a long process to get rid of the hair but I believe that if you pay attention to the growth of your hair youll finish more quickly. The sessions are usually an hour for me. Maria is very patient with me and my pain level so the sessions arent very painful for me. She always adjusts if the sessions hurt to much and well get as much hair as she can per sessions. She is quite busy so I advise to book at minimum 2 sessions in advance. Maria keeps the enviroment serene, clean, and peaceful. I usually listen to a podcast during my session. I hope to hair free by this time next year.

Maria is amazing! She is an experienced electrologist. I was concerned about going to anyone due to COVID. However, her office is super clean, Maria is sterile while performing electrolysis, a mask and gloves are always worn and she makes you sooo comfortable! I’m also the only client in her office when I go for an appointment. She does a great work because she cares so much! I started electrolysis treatments with Maria about 5 months ago and my hair is gradually lessening. I am much more satisfied with FDA approved electrolysis and Maria than I was with the laser hair removal that I tried a few years ago. I look forward to continuing my hair removal process with her. I first went to electrolysis in 1958 and my medical doctor sent me to his friend, a man, and very successful. Over the years I would go for a touch-up at different clinics. I have been watching the industry ever since then and have seen great progress made. Recently I visited Elegant Electrolysis and I definitely felt like I had moved into the 21st century. All the equipment is new and modern and the clinic is beautiful and clean. This was nothing like my first trip back in the 50’s when the client just lay down on a sofa and the electrologist was using equipment that was very primitive and the grounding was just a plate that you put your hand on. Nothing like the newer machine that Maria is using with the hand-held ground bar. Back then there wasn’t even anything for magnification and certainly not disposable sheets, pillows or even probes. Back in the last century they reused probes and one always had to wonder who had used it last. Not anymore, there is a newer way of doing things and it is very apparent that Maria has kept up with the modernization of the profession and I credit her for her professionalism, gentle touch and kindness with making sure that I was comfortable and had as little pain and discomfort as possible. When I compare then to now and see she is using the latest, people today are really lucky to have this service available.

Maria is truly gifted at what she does I have had a previous hair removal electrolysis specialist and I would dread going because it was so painful. Let me just start off by saying wow... I first tried electrolysis two years ago with an electrologist in Sugar Land and I was left with blisters, acne, and scarring after only one treatment. Today was my first time seeing Mrs. Maria and you can tell that she isnt doing this for the money - rather for the smiles it puts on her clients faces. The skin on my face is extremely sensitive and by the time I was finished with treatment my skin was BARELY red. It almost looked as if I got a facial! It is evident that she truly cares about her clients comfort during the treatment as she continually asks if it feels okay. She took the time to apply aloe, Neosporin, and rose water on my skin and finished with a rolling device that helped with redness and swelling. The office is extremely clean and she uses medical grade disposable items for cleanliness. The only thing is that she is very busy, but its only because she is the best of the best. I cant wait to see her again!

Ive been getting electrolysis treatments by Maria for about three months now, and the results are amazing! Almost all of my unwanted hair is gone, and Ill only need a few more appointments for the final, permanent result. Maris is so nice, professional, and accommodating. For over a year, Ive been using Elegant Electrolysis and have seen nothing but professionalism from Maria ---AND positive results. On occasion while working with me, she has taken calls and stated to the caller to text back at this number and she would return the call later. Whenever you have a small independent businesses you do not usually have a receptionist or operator answering the telephone. On her website, the same place where her phone # is, it allows callers to leave a message.. She is worth it!!

Maria is a very professional lady and wants you the client to be comfortable and without pain. She will do what she can to make that happen. She is flexible with appointments and will try to work you in her schedule if she is very busy. My skin is extremely sensitive and I cant use sunblock or any makeup with sunblock. I expected to come out of treatment with red bumpy face, but because of her technique, it never happens. Even if I use two hours for treatment.

I have been trying to consistently book appointments in advance because she is constantly booked for weeks in advance, if not months. During the time I was not able to find an appointment with Maria, I had gone to almost all the places where electrolysis is done, only to leave with severe scars and wounds. However, upon a persistent request to Maria, she gave me a few hours on her day off because she is a kind and considerate person as well. Her techniques and the way she works on each and every hair follicle leaves the skin smooth, and without any damage to the surface while safely killing the follicle. She is safely able to work on the most sensitive of areas, without causing pain because of her delicate touch. She is the only one in houston who takes her time to apply the numbing cream, and add the finishing touches with her soothing cream and medication (if needed) to reduce the redness. Even though she has back to back appointments booked, she does not rush through her clients. In fact, she has always exceeded the allotted time for the appointment to make sure that I leave happy and satisfied. I’m sure her clients are well aware of the fact that she uses the best probes and techniques in the industry. I wish I had more words to describe my experience, however it is a feeling that can not be put into words. I came across elegant electrolysis after one of my appointments with my previous electrolysis treatment. I was frustrated because my previous electrolysis treatment left me with nothing but scabs, open wounds and bruises all over my forehead area. The pain was somewhat bearable but the aftermath of the treatment left me completely unsatisfied. I stumbled across Maria and she immediately gave me the next available appointment. I went to her and i immediately knew this is where my treatments would be permanently. She is extremely profesional, uses the right amount of electricity based on her experience, numbs the area for minimal to no pain, and most Importantly she puts her heart in the work she does. Even after my time was over, she did not stop working to make sure I left happy and satisfied. She uses the proper topical creams to reduce any and all signs of treatments and I can say for a fact that when I left her clinic, there were no signs of any redness or any scabs, redness or pain on the treated areas. Subsequently, I booked multiple appointments with her and even referred a close relative of mines to her, who is also extremely happy with her services. She is always completely booked, which is a good thing because it shows how much her clients love her treatments and services. I thought I knew everything about electrolysis before going to her clinic, but I was completely wrong. If anyone wants amazing results, professional treatment with little to no affects after the treatment, she is the ONLY person to go to. I will be referring many more friends and relatives to her clinic. If anything, my review does not do justice to her services and her care and concern for her clients. Truly, the name of the business justifies the services she provides, simply elegant. Thank you for your time, effort and genuine concern for your clients. Apart from that, she is always concerned about her clients and strives to make time for them even after being completely booked. Even on her day off (Sunday) she left her personal life aside and gave me the time to do the treatments. She goes out of her way to make sure the client leaves happy, as she is only concerned about that. Her passion is to make others happy through her expertise in electrolysis, and I can say without a doubt that she puts her heart and soul in every client she treats. Cant wait for my upcoming treatments with her, thank you once again and I will definitely be referring many more people to your clinic.

I just had my first session and it was great! Maria is so sweet and informative about the whole process. I was very apprehensive about electrolysis and the pain based on what I had heard from others experiences else where, but she reassured me that it wouldnt be an unpleasant experience. The treatment went smoothly and did not hurt at all for me! Honestly laser hurts soooo much more at least for me. During the session she constantly checked on me to see if I was ok and how the pain was. If youre looking to get electrolysis this is the place to go, and you wont be disappointed with your experience! Maria is very skilled at what she does and super dedicated to her clients. Not to mention she truly cares about her clients and works effortlessly to make sure you are satisfied with your experience. She was even super sweet when I arrived 20 minutes late due to getting lost and stayed after hours to work on my hair removal. Im looking forward to my next sessions and seeing the progress

If you ever had any fears/reservations about electrolysis, Maria will make them completely disappear. She is honest and clear about every aspect of the process and does the job effectively, efficiently, AND painlessly! The only shame is that there isnt 5 Marias to take appointments because she is a busy woman!

Maria is great! She is gentle and her method is comfortable with no redness when I walk out. I have been to 4 other places before and it was painful and I had blistering and scabbing. I highly recommend this place.

Have been going here since April of 2019 have not seen major improvement with my facial hair.Electrolysis is said to be permanent hair removal that was not the case for me the hair kept growing back after 2 weeks. I dont think Maria is as experienced as she claims to be. The other issue is that she is always fully booked months down the line so it is hard to schedule weekly appointments if you have to. When Maria cancels your appointment due to personal reasons she never has the courtesy to make up for it by giving you another day to come in. Going here was a waste of time and money for me.

Today was the second time I have received an electrolysis treatment by Maria. I have been thinking about doing Electroylsis for about 3 years now, but have been always so scared to go out and get it done b/c of pain. After reading all the amazing reviews about Maria & Elegant Electroylsis , I decided to give it a shot. Maria made me feel comfortable and excited during our consultation! She is a sweetheart!! She really cares about making her clients feel and look their best. She puts her heart and soul into this! She is also EXTREMELY gentle and constantly checks to make sure you are doing okay during the treatment. Maria likes to book 1 hour sessions at a time, but if she is not satisfied with how much hair she has removed within that hour, then she will continue until it is perfect! I have already booked my next 4 appointments with her. I am so excited and cannot wait to see what happens with my hair over the next few sessions!!

Where to even begin. Maria is my savior. I have PCOS and had hairgrowth on my face and neck like a man. Shaving every single day sometimes twice a day. I was so so fed up and felt ugly and disgusting and didn’t event want to leave my home. I was hesitant to try electrolysis since I had read horrible stories about it. I’m so glad I gave Maria a chance. My hair has reduced by 50% in only 5-6 treatments. I’m so thankful for her. She’s sweet, personable, and makes it as comfortable and not painful as possible. I have been seeing Maria for just about 4 sessions now and already see a huge improvement. I have previously tried laser hair removal during two different times in my life and both times I had completed 6-8 sessions each. While the hair went away momentarily, it eventually came back. I had been too afraid to try electrolysis as I had heard it was painful and can lead to scaring. This might be the case if working with a poorly trained technician, but while working with Maria I have experienced little to no pain, no swelling and no scaring! I also have found that she is very accommodating as far as scheduling and always answers my calls when I need to reschedule! I highly recommend working with Maria!

Maria is the best, HANDS DOWN & I’m left totally impressed after each visit! I’m getting Electrolysis to remove unwanted hair on my tummy & torso, and so far I’ve seen a drastic reduction in hair growth (even with only 3 sessions) & lightening of my PIH (I’m African American and my PIH was particularly bad).The treatment is surprisingly comfortable, and Maria is so kind!! I live and work in Hong Kong where electrolysis is uncommon and difficult to find an Electrolyst that will take male clients. I found out about Maria when I could not get response from the Electrolysis lady I used to go and desperately needed to get treated. I called her because of all the good reviews and she answered my call and furtunatlly had available appointment. I have been trained as an electrolysist when in college and I know how a correct procedure and cleaningness has to be done. Her place is clean, nice, spot less like a spa. She sanetizes everything, makes sure your skin is clean, uses several products to prevent scabing, redness and possibly infection. Most of the needels used in the market would burn the skin including the hair follicle, but her needles only passes the electronic current to the 2 mm of the tip and spares the skin from burning and it makes it painless.After the first session I was sold and wanted to get longer appointmeats.Be alarmed you have to make your appointment months in advance because she is booked. But she is very accommodating and understanding and trys to get you in as soon as she could. I had to tell her about my frustrating experience when my aunt could see those unwanted hairs on my face without her glasses😶 in the sunset light 😪 and the emergency of the situation so she called me the next day after some one cancelled😀. After she works on the skin, even for long time, you can go back to work or outside, dont have to hide to avoid questions? Glad to find Maria.
