We love the CMG! We worked with Kurt, Andrea, Brannon and Jenna. When we started with them with our oldest of two sons, we were not sure what services they could provide for us and what to expect in the college admissions and financial aid process. They gave us great comfort and insight into the minds of admissions and financial aid counselors. They guided us through both aspects of this huge undertaking with patience and skill. In addition, they handled the laboring oar on the FAFSA and the CSS profile each year. They even reviewed and offered help on the essays, which improved them significantly. When it came time to review and negotiate financial aid offers (which is their main reason for being) they were very responsive and helpful too. Ultimately, both of our boys enrolled in Texas state universities, and so our financial aid awards and needs were not great. But they gave us options we might not have had without them. We highly recommend the CMG to anyone strongly considering applying to private colleges and universities who need financial aid to make that feasible for them.

Kurt, Brannon, and Andrea are the best. They helped us at every step of the process, from the assessments, the college essay, the webinars which are super-useful, and a detailed dissection of all my financial options. In fact, I got a HELOC because of their college related financial advice and that meant I had to get flood insurance on my home, which was a godsend when Harvey happened. I was relieved I listened to Kurt. I would call them and they would return calls in 24 hours. Sometimes, I would come up with some questions/ideas and they would deliberate among themselves before getting back to me (because they wanted to arrive at a consensus before answering me). I remember one time when Kurt was wrong about a FAFSA related issue that I pointed out to him. Andrea corrected him, and Kurt readily admitted his mistake. That was pretty honest of him! They are also always open to ideas that the parents/student might come up with, so very open, flexible people.
