INSPIRE is great with communication. My instructor emailed everyday and anytime I had a question he answered promptly. The program can be slightly intense if you do not stay on top of it. The content is very detailed and makes you feel prepared to be a teacher. They offer you free 240 tutoring to help pass your content exams too. They do not help you get a job but they do notify you of all the upcoming job fairs in and around Region 4 as well as some throughout the state.I finished up the program during the COVID-19 pandemic and thought they were great during all of it! I recommend using INSPIRE.

If anyone you know is interested in pursuing an alternative teaching certification - I strongly recommend avoiding Region 4 Education Service Center. The sum of my experience has shown they do not know how to guide individuals to the correct content exams, or how to guide their candidates through the process. I completed the program, despite their lack of assistance. They have consistently poor communication - over-communication on minute issues, while being wildly vague on important steps in the process. They do force the opportunity to use free tutoring programs, but fail to inform you of all of their requirements to complete the program until you are up against them. They largely refuse to put their offers or promises into writing, so when further questioned, they can reverse course. There are other programs out there, and there are cheaper programs. The guidance and assistance offered in completing their program was nonexistent. There is no assistance when attempting to find a position. And finally - they will actively add roadblocks to your completion, under the guise of revamping their program.

INSPIRE will give you all the tools you need to be successful. The program is intense and there are a lot of things to keep up with. If you are serious about becoming a teacher, this is the program for you.The courses focus on what you need to be a teacher: classroom management, curriculum development, instruction methods, etc. These components are what make teachers effective educators. They expect you to be somewhat competent in your subject area (i.e. EC-6, Life Science, Social Studies) because you have to have whole college degree to apply to the program. They do provide their own online supplemental review course as well as access to a study service (240Tutoring or Certify Teacher) to help with content mastery. The INSPIRE staff is very communicative and always got back to my peers and me in a timely manner (within a day at the latest). I do wish they had an online checklist set up as a timeline to organize dates and requirements because it easy to fall behind without knowing it.I see someone complained about INSPIRE not providing them with their transcripts after that person moved to a new state. States have different licensing exams and requirements to become an educator. Even full teacher certification rarely transfers between states, so its a bit absurd to expect your program coursework to do so.Id recommend INSPIRE to everyone seriously wanting to become a Texas educator except those with a significant amount of prior teaching experience, like someone who has taught a long time at private schools or in another state. For people like that, a faster pace and cheaper course would (probably) be better.

This really is a great program. They are very well connected with other school districts all over Texas. The problem is, people complain and blame the program when in fact its all the persons doing. This program walks you step by step. The website has all the information on there. They email you every step you need to take. You have to read, and there lays the problem. I just passed my content exam on the first try. I used all the resources provided to me. The free practice exams, certify teacher, 240 tutoring. If your not successful it lands on you. I saw in my class people ask the exact same questions over and over again. Yea, I would get frustrated also I mean seriously, you want to be a teacher?! I did my research before joining. They are at the top. You get a real live person to talk to. You get real help. They even help with your resume!!! All this negativity, dont let that make your decision, do your own research. Some people just like to blame others for their failures. Take some responsibility as you would expect your students to do so.

A colossal waste of time! They do not help you and are untrustworthy. You are left feeling humiliated and deceived. I would give them zero stars, but it requires at least one to post.

Very short program to complete but I dont feel I learned what I needed to become certified. Other than learning how to make lesson plans and reading classroom management, this program did not help me feel adequately about my EC-6 certification test. I had so many questions and when I called no one ever answers the phone and staff takes to long to return my phone call to answer my questions. One person seemed rude and bothered when I emailed to much with questions. Is there no workshops to help with preparation for the certification test?! Dont look for alternative teaching here take your business elsewhere and save your money.

This program stinks. This took all my classes, got straight As and ended up moving to another state. I asked them for my transcript and they said they couldnt give me my grades. Apparently their program isnt recognized. Whats the point in doing all the course work and paying all that money if all we need to do is take our board exams!
