My home warranty company assigned you to come take a look at my dryer as it smelled of gas when it was being run. They checked for a leak in the line but did not resolve the problem. It was as simple as reattaching the dryer exhaust vent hose. Seems like a competent repair person would have known this. Instead I paid $75 for nothing and ended up figuring out what to do from google.

Alex was the best technician I’ve had from any vendor through the home warranty company. After another company worked on it for 6 weeks without fixing it, he showed up on time and diagnosed and repaired the issue immediately. This dude knows what he’s doing and he was a lifesaver! Even showed me exactly what the other company did wrong so that I can try to get a refund from them.

The toilet in the hall bath was running, the masterbathrooms toilet was leaking at the base, and the tub took over 15 minutes to drain. I scheduled an appointment but the morning of both toilets were behaving so I called Alex, the service tech, to cancel. He said he was 10 minutes away and would come take a look and take my word for the issues reported. He replaced the chain/handle in the hall bath to stop the running. In the MB he took off the drain cover and fished out gobs of yuck that liquid drainer and drano hadnt. For tue first time since I purchased this house a year ago water drained immediately! Lastly, he replaced the bolts and wax ring in the MB toilet. Alex was quick, though he didnt rush with any of the projects. He was courteous and efficient, explained what he was doing and why and cleaned up after his repairs. Definitely a great experience.

The job was to fix a shower leak... Plumber shows up... Takes my shower apart.. Leaves to get the part... Never returns.. Texted me sorry couldnt find the part ... He said he would order the part and return asap to install. 3 weeks later... No text no call... No communication ... I bought the part that and made the repair myself. The company did nothing other than take my shower apart (which was silly because the part was available)... They charged me the 75$ trip fee for my warranty company fee....did no work.I would not use them again. Also... I called during the situation... Put on hold... Lot of promises to return call and follow up. I was not a priority. Even with my shower being down for 3 weeks.. They failed me and my family.Im a Veteran... And low character actions like this bothers me. I have all the supporting texts and photos to support my claim.

The sink was clogged. Turned out it was build up from Aircon condensation. Replaced existing glued pipes with pea trap so this does not happen again

Technician was supposed to arrive between 2-4pm for underground plumbing repair. He showed up at 5:30, but did not call me. He had tried to call the office, but they were gone for the day. He says he called, but when I checked with dispatch today, I was told he did not have my number. I had gone to the store and was back by 5:45, but by that time, he had logged it as me not being home and I was going to get charged a fee! I never got a call and he was 1 1/2 hours late! Excuse me! My home insurance company chose these guys. Watch out!

If you have tried them you know this is a total brother in law operation. If you have not tried them you might believe the planted five star reviews. Alex is a crook sent by choice home warranty. He came out and sounded great, like he knew what he was doing. When he turned in his report to the warranty company it was full of falsehoods. In fact he tried to get out of coming out a second time saying he would just file a report. When Choice Warranty said they would take service squad off of their service vendor list, all of the sudden he had time to come out. I called several times trying to get info or just a quote for replacing the hot water heater. I have never been able to get a call back or further information. Please note that I fully expect the owner to make some legit sounding comment but to never call me back. Please do not fall for this. Also check the number of reviews the 5 star reviews have done?!?!?!? I can prove by phone records five phone calls to them that have not been returned. Please dont fall prey. So crooked. I hope you can live with yourself, Alex. It is a small world out here on the lake.

I had them come out for my home warranty to see what a leak stain in the ceiling was from. They said they had to cut the ceiling and made sure with them that the home warranty company would pay for that if they were to do it. They said they usually do but I was still hesitant. They had their office call to confirm so I let them cut it. They never did find out where the leak was from and I still have a hole in my ceiling.

I called these guys the 2nd day of the winter storm Uri for burst pipes, they said they would be at the house the next day, I didnt get a call until 2 days later on Thursday saying that they would be arriving at 8am, they didnt show up until 12pm, before they did the inspection they demanded that I paid $79 upfront for the service fee and that they would give us an estimate, and if we decided to go through with the estimate the fee would be waived. Low and behold after paying the service fee the plumber checked my attic and said he would call in 1-2 days with an estimate. Its been a week since he told us this and we still have no repairs done on our pipes, not one call to reassure us that our estimate was being worked on they basically ran off with the $79 dollar service charge that I had to pay. I called them about this and talked to Tony who was very rude yelling at me over the phone saying that the $79 dollars was for the plumber just to come out despite the fact that we havent gotten the estimate yet. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE SHADY I FELL FOR THE FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS SO YOU DONT HAVE TO HOMEOWNERS BEWARE!!!

Immediately had someone come out to assess the damage when initial call was made. We had been on waiting list for 3-4 days due to winter freeze. Poor communication, however. Service Squad reps phone kept going off while visiting the home to discuss repairs and rep would answer making it more difficult to discuss the repairs. Requested remediation from water damage to our home, but felt pressured to use the company for restoration purposes. Felt pressured to give an explanation for choosing to use a contractor Ive known for years to restore the home.

Service Squad was selected by my home warranty company to fix my broken water pipes. I called several times to schedule a plumber to come out to my home to repair the water pipes. Two days later I was finally able to talk to their dispatcher and schedule an appointment. The plumber never showed up at my home or called to reschedule the appointment. My warranty company finally was able to speak to a dispatcher two days later and was told they were unable to do the job. It took approximately 2 weeks for this company to state they were unable to do the plumbing repairs on my home. This is a very unprofessional company...*beware*.

In January 2021, Service Square incorrectly installed a valve on our water heater, which caused a hot water leak. Due to the leak our utility bills to increase by about $180. When I called Service Square to inform, they said send in the bills and we can see what we can do. This in now May and Service Square has been avoiding my calls, I called from someone else’s phone and I spoke to the owner I asked him to mail my bills back once they make a copy he said “No I am throwing them away”.Please do not use this company, and if your home warranty recommend this company, call them back to get someone else to come out.

This contractor uses Choice to acquire customers, collect the service fee, do not fix problem, and tries to make big money by recommending replacement. HW and the majority of associated contractors are scheme to create bus is for unreliable contractors. You are much better off selecting reliable and trusted independent contractor based on reviews and neighbors web sites.

Unclogged backup and only lasted 2 days even though they say the will stand behind their work, because the insurance said they would not pay for a camera inspection, they said it would cost me $350.00 and i would have tp pay $155.00 to unclog it and pay for a service call. I called another company and they charged me $117.00 for all of it. Tell me they were not trying to rip me off.

Angel Rodriguez from Service Squad came from KATY to my home in Dickinson for 8a and was here ON DOT. Prior to that, I had a technician from Pipe Doctor 247 LLC who came twice (one rushed visit) and did NOT fix the issue and didn’t show up for the 3rd appointment.Angel came in, was very professional with his mask on and actually TROUBLESHOT my issue. He took my assembly apart and replaced my thermocouple and even soldered my connections in an attempt to get my water heater’s pilot working. Even though he wasn’t successful in getting the pilot lit, he did everything that was required and MORE.That’s the kind of technician you want in your home repairing your components. Highly recommend**UPDATE**Service Squad came 7+ hrs LATE to install my water heater. After draining out my ok’d water heater, they showed me that the new water heater had a HUGE DENT ON IT AND IT COULDNT BE INSTALLED.They are going to try to get another one tomorrow but it’s been 4 weeks without a water hater and now it’s getting longer.

I dont know to whom I spoke with just now but they were extremely rude and dismissive. Phone was answered with some kind of grunt until I said, hello? and then they said the name of the company. I have been calling around for estimates for water damage incurred due to the freeze. This guy said, you going through insurance? and I said yes. He told me that I did not need an estimate if I am using my insurance.I told him I dont know what all is covered and especially because I am interested in a Pex Repipe. He then said, what are you trying to get more money from the insurance or what? I already told you you dont need an estimate so what do you want it for?I told him I didnt have any issues with the two other companies I had just spoken with and he then said ok, find someone else. Extremely rude and poor customer service. Why the need to be so ugly?

Shoney came late at night to access the situation and sent his plumber Charlie the next day to fix a burst pipe. We had been without water for 3 days. They were both very professional and responsive. We were so lucky to find them during the Artic Freeze Debacle. We will use them in the future and highly recommend them.

Horrible experience. They were contracted to replace sewer line under home. They did not obtain a permit as required. Left the job without finishing. Left a large hole in the ground. Old pipes left in backyard. Told me they would have to chop the tree down to finish which was a lie. They needed to tunnel around the tree but didn’t want to do it this war because they needed the city to move the sewer connection. If this were to be done, they would have to get a permit and city would know job was done without proper permitting. They tried to tell me the job was complete but it wasn’t. They are crooks and liars. Stay away from these guys.
