We have known Rod and weve been taking our vehicles there for some time. Weve always been pleased with their work, like oil changes, tune ups, etc. I wrecked my car and bought a used vehicle from Rod. From day one nothing but problems. I know when u buy used vehicle you can have problems but it was one thing after another. After another $3000 I thought my car was fixed and took a trip to Ks. I broke down about 2 hrs away from my destination. It was a nightmare!!! Ended up being a rod bearing that cost me a used engine..another $2600( which i did not have)...had the mechanic tear down the engine to see what caused it. Apparently there was so much sealant used when repaired it clogged up the oil and could not reach the rod bearing. This shoukd have never happened. My husband went to talk to Rod and he kept making excuses. I know Rod did not do the work, but he is responsible for his mechanics work...I feel he should have taken some responsibility for what happened, after all his mechanic was the only one to work on my car, but he didnt. Kept making excuses..Im not asking for any compensation just that he takes some kind of responsibility for what happened. Guess you never know who you can trust!!!😒

I have not been serviced by them but this review is about an encounter with an employee that represents this business poorly.I was crossing the street one day and had waited patiently for the street to be clear to cross. Their service car was around the corner (with three speed bumps ahead of them) so I crossed. As I was almost done crossing, their service car honked at me? Whether it was meant as a nasty cat call or “move”, it was uncalled for.Where I crossed had no sidewalks, so you have to continue straight a FEW steps before you reach pavement. I do purposely walk in the mud and stay close to the curb so I don’t freak cars out.It’s very normal for people in this area to walk along the curb as some spots lack sidewalks, and there is a school right around the corner. The road isn’t small, there’s room for two lanes during heavy traffic but most cars just drive in the middle- because there are so many people out and about.Why this vehicle decided to drive right against the curb and honk at me(when I know they saw me from a distance and could have easily just drove in the middle like everyone else)- I have no idea, but I did not like it. And these are the people servicing you.

I brought my 2007 Ford F150 to these people for the first time after the freeze when ice knocked out a couple freeze-out plugs. They repaired that and had me back on the road. However, a couple weeks later the engine blew a head gasket (also caused by the freeze) and I had to bring it back. The owner, Rod gave me an estimate to replace those, but informed me that for not much more he could just drop in a new used engine. After some consideration I had them go ahead. Rod rejected the first two engines that came in because he is very meticulous about the engines he gives to his customers. Finally he settled on one, and the technician Pete had it installed in two days. I stopped by just to see how things were going, and noticed my truck outside the bay. I saw Pete and asked him if he could start it for me. He said, actually its already running. And sure enough it was! My engine hadnt been that quiet since I bought the truck two years ago! It was purring like a kitten! He had taken the time to make sure every part was right back where it was supposed to be. There is only one word to describe that kind of attention to detail. P*R*I*D*E! These people really take pride in their work, and from now on I will not take my vehicles anywhere else, and will recommend them to anyone who needs a good mechanic. Fair and honest and take pride in their work! You just cant beat that these days!Jay Smith

This place is absolutely amazing. Great honest people and the mechanics are phenomenal! I drive a Mercedes and came in having a few more problems than expected. My repairs at Mercedes Benz could’ve been around $2,000 of work but bringing it to Ashford Auto Clinic, I only spent about $600. I’ll be back!

The owner was very helpful. I knew what it would cost to get my car fixed and the price was reasonable. They even provided a loaner car while mine was being serviced. Should it be necessary, I will go there for service in the future.

I took my car in for an inspection and oil change. I needed to check the ac but didn’t have the money yet since I thought I had to buy a compressor. I was told that with the mileage of my car I probably didn’t need a compressor. He explained that I probably just needed Freon. He said he would check it for free and he was right. He printed a car fax report and let me know what maintenance I needed and which one I didn’t need. Excellent service.

Best mechanic Ive been to lately, wish I found about them sooner from all the other times Ive been screwed. The owner is very welcoming great IQ in car mechanic a lot of experience and knowledge. They are good and courteous to people. I agree Rod was good at customer service. He took my requirement and attended this service. However, they were very expensive on parts and charges made. Had power windows regulator panel replacement. It was very highly priced. When requested for the reason for high price, they mentioned they do charge higher on parts and labor and to be convincing gave comparative view that others charge more. They charged $390. I looked at same brand parts in advance auto parts and showed them its 2.5 times lesser price. It will be good if there is fair and transparent price view. It would have been good if I could have purchased my own parts and provided. Also, they informed if I purchase parts, then labor cost changes. This means its more tradeoff between parts and labor to make margins and not standard price model. I felt to keep better trust and long term continuity its better to have reasonable price and not exorbitant prices. Personally, I completely got disappointed as they didnt reveal this cost until final bill even though I asked this in middle and later.

Came in with my hunk of junk and left with it running like new! Overall fantastic customer service and cheaper pricing than I could find ANYWHERE. Thank you guys again!

Needed to get two broken lug nut bolts replaced on my wheel. The owner of the business was very warm welcoming and honest from my first phone call inquiring about service, to my walk in visit today, to me leaving the shop satisfied with the amount of professionalism involved and the lower cost as opposed to other local automotive repair shops in the area. This automotive repair shop has been around for decades and it would be my first place to recommend to any friends or family needing service on their vehicle. You will not have to worry about any type of dishonesty or under the table type stuff taking place here, he runs a very smooth clean business and is very honest and upfront with all of his clients.

Ashford Auto Clinic is a very excellent shop for repairing all makes and models of automobiles. I personally own 4 automobiles and I take all of them there for servicing. The management is very helpful and will to work with their clients to solve their problems. Their technicians are very knowledgeable and do excellent work. I even have a vintage 1978 Firebird that they work on for me. I highly recommend Ashford Auto Clinic for taking care of your automobile repair needs.

My vehicle is new.*You all broke a part on my vehicle and then wanted me to pay for it.A day before I went to my Lincoln dealer and no parts were damage or broken.Then i returned the same day after the oil change and they told me someone tamperedWhat a coincidence the owner/manager show me the new part before his mechanic show me under my vehicle.

There are very few auto clinics that I can walk into and feel completely comfortable entrusting my car for service. This is one of those places. Frank and Rod handle everything in a first class fashion at reasonable prices. I have used them for many years beginning with their prior shop (Conoco Car Clinic) and then with their move to the Ashford Auto Clinic. I have always been completely satisfied with their work. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them.

Did not feel after a second time of being treated fairly that I was with my daughters first time experience as a college graduate. I took her to introduce her to be able to know where to go in case of needed services. This experience was about a part that cost one price at thier manufacturer and they sent wrong one so they got it from oriellys and the price for part was less and they still charge thier manufacturered price. Not knowing her father had already priced the part at oriellys. And when asked about it they tried to say it would now cost more since we questioned it. But after we left it alone it was STILL the fradulant price. I guess some days are honest and some not. It depends on the day??? I could have called orielly in front of them but I was hoping they would say hey we got it cheaper. NOT.... So what a not so nice first time experience for your daughter out of college to see in our adults. I know they have some good reviews but even some good apples go bad!

They go out of there way to make sure even after the job is done you have no issues. Never try to get me to fix anything not needing repair and even go out of there way when the shop is very busy to be sure everything is right.

I drive an old 95 civic and dont trust many people to touch it and let alone work on it. These guys have history with older cars and classics in particular. Because of their work and the finished product and handle and care they take with the classics ive seen first hand, they are the only people i trust to work on my car. Great prices, people treat you like family and always willing to work with you to make sure your car stays on the road and doesnt leave you stranded and in danger. Highly reccomend for your older vehicle maintenance and care.

Car started smoking and had to pull over, luckily right next to Ashford Auto Clinic. He replaced the radiator in my car for $395. (96 Toyota Corrolla). The first radiator he replaced, but found there was a manufacturer problem with that replacement radiator, so he ordered another one and ate the cost of replacing it again.He also told me hed make more money off of me repairing the car than replacing it, and that its not going to pass inspection (due in May) without another $400 to $500 worth of work.All in all Id call him an honest guy, and my car has been running well since then.

Took my Daughter car Here for service couple months back she came in with a bad Maf sensor From what codes read on my obd scanner she also needed an oil change, later I come to find out my daughter is telling me the car is having the same symptoms if not worse so as I look under the hood Vacuum lines had been pulled and left unplugged so I bring the car back and get hit with “the car is having a bad vacuum leak and the maf sensor that was replaced was bad” then quotes me 325$ for a repair I let him know what I found under the hood and he denied therefore I stormed out! By far the Worst small business Owend shop I have ever been to I Would not Recommended to anyone.

Ashford Auto Clinic has a great team of trustworthy guys that will tell you what your car needs. You may recall the owners as they were previously located next to the ConocoPhillips HQ office on Dairy Ashford for 15-20 years and conveniently serviced many employee vehicles until the company sold their location. They are experienced and excellent with customer service. Best of al, they dont try and upsell you! The motor oil they use is Kendall Motor Oil which is best-in-class and has outperformed many of the leading brands.

The owner charged me $225 for a $100refurbished alternator from their vendor AutoZone. Then $100 to install. Total was around $350. I was advised that I had an extended warranty for the lifetime of the part and limited miles on the warranty of the labor.Two years later I broke down on the side of the road because of this alternator. The owner says that he changed accounts with AutoZone and has no records of my extended warranty. He offered me a price of $240 to install a refurbished alternator. This is the amount that I should have been charged the first visit since thats all that was done instead of him lying saying that they switched ownerships and lost the account info at AutoZone. I left him a not-so-nice review in his opinion and this was the real reason why he wouldnt stand by the warranty work that I was entitled to at AutoZone. Only evil people think on this kind of level. I feel sorry for you if you have a bad experience here.In response to your reply sir my dad lives in Puerto Rico and was the only person that was available to help me during that time. I still wouldnt Ive made someone situation worse by charging them $100 for nothing because you were taking a payment over the phone. Is this where this mysterious $100 went towards? You are also swearing as a business owner on your own Google Business posting? For the Love of keeping people from ending up in the jaws of these Crooks review your mechanic before visiting them!
