Upon getting hired earlier this year, I was assured that the company was looking for QUALITY writers over QUANTITY of articles done a day. They did mention that quantity was also important, but it was not honestly expressed just HOW MUCH more important. When I started, the office was small (only about 7 writers total). We handled ALL of the writing that was needed for every single client (articles, blogs, website content, etc.). Things were well and fine up until COVID happened and our office began to work from home. During this time, the administrative team began to put the heat on the writers a lot more (they wanted more articles done a day).Suddenly, they completely stopped caring about quality and started putting a much heavier emphasis on quantity. Upon getting back into the office, things gradually became worse. We had just gotten a major client that needed 800 (yes, you read that correctly) thousand word articles written. Who did every single one of those 800 articles?? THE WRITERS. Because we were still small in numbers, they began to hire a bunch of people to help execute this large writing project. Now, mind you, this is in the midst of the 1st wave of covid, we are in a small office space, and they are hiring people by the handfuls that we really didnt have the space for. Not only was this a health risk to everyone in the office, but on top of the pressure to still meet our expected article counts everyday, WE HAD TO TRAIN ALL THESE NEW PEOPLE THEY KEPT HIRING.The CEO and CFO are not writers. They have a completely different function in the office and therefore, do not recognize or understand all that the writing department does everyday. So, with that being said, they were not going to train all the new people that they were bringing in. On top of all of this, they knew we didnt have the space to accommodate everyone, so as we gradually worked on writing projects for this big client, they would find reasons to fire people. Eventually, things somewhat stabilized.Now, lets be clear: the writers play a vital, if not THE MOST vital position within this company. Everything rests on the backs of the writers. It does not matter how many clients they bring on, or how good their SEO department is. If the writers arent there to provide the content that they need, THE COMPANY CANNOT BE SUCCESSFUL OR MOVE FORWARD. That is just the truth. However, they continuously run people out of this department. Writers at Actual SEO Media get the most stress and pressure from management on a daily basis. Why? BECAUSE IT ALL RESTS ON US. Yet, we are the least paid department in the company. Yes, the SEO department and admin team gets paid more!The CEO and CFO constantly overwork the writers and what we provide is NEVER enough. They always want more, more, more. They expect you to give them 4+ articles a day (although really they want a whole lot more than that), and yet, they pay the writers next to nothing for all of the work that they constantly demand. There are plenty of things that they dont take into account: i.e. training people, learning a new business before you write for them, etc. As a writer here, prepare to be in a constant state of burn out. They dont care about the logistics of what the writers do. They just want robots that constantly write and do nothing else. They arent looking for REAL people.Management walks around the room and asks writers how many articles theyve gotten done throughout the day. On top of this, they also try to create competition against writers. Not only is this annoying and unnecessary, but it is also unprofessional. If you slip below a certain amount of articles for more than a day, you are considered to be on the chopping block for termination. Unbelievably, they also will pull employees into the conference room and pressure them to write good reviews in their presence! Believe me when I tell you, these people are not as content and satisfied as their fake reviews might say. No benefits are offered, most people arent full-time. Join at your own risk!

So glad we switched to Actual SEO Media for our website SEO needs. We were using other companies but noticing that we were dropping on the internet pages consistently no matter what the other companies were doing. With more competition moving into the area they had more resources and were overshadowing our small business online. Then we switched to Actual SEO Media and I am so glad we did. They immediately met with us, established our needs, structured a plan that fit our budget, and went to work. We began seeing progress quickly, and continue to see progress still today. I have two issues: (1) From what I know from experience, this company doesnt seem to value actual talent and wouldnt even recognize it if they saw it. From their interview process to their day to day interaction, their outlook towards human resources is flawed.(2) Also from an SEO standpoint, when it comes to content generation, QUALITY will ALWAYS TRIUMPH over QUANTITY any day.

I went in for an interview and was politely told to leave a review.First off, Miss LaChelle was very polite and well-spoken which made me feel comfortable when I arrived. However, management was in a conference call when I arrived and only one of them came out, introduced himself, then left. That was pretty much it for my interaction with them. Miss LaChelle then took me to an area and had me do some tests and writing to see where my skill set is at and for management to look over, and Im assuming for them to see if I have any potential. Once I was done, management appeared to go into another conference call, or perhaps was still in the same conference call when I arrived. I didnt get to sit down and talk to them in person, so this potentially puts me at a disadvantage versus other job-seeking candidates (unless this is how they do all their interviews).Miss LaChelle, if you are reading this, I give you 5 stars for your professionalism. However, Im afraid I must give the company 3 stars (for now) since I had very little interaction with management and was not able to talk to them in person. Even if I dont get the job, I do hope theyll send me an email or give me a phone call to let me know.
