After two years of being absent from our property, we came back to discover that the Himalayan White Birch tree that I planted for my son when he was born had succumbed to Bronze Birch Borer - a serious pest that is usually fatal for birch trees. Although we had lost about 25% of tree, Joe Davis was confident we could save it.After two years of soil and trunk injection - as well as a deep root fertilizer - I am happy to report that the tree has made a full recovery and the new growth is amazing. Bartlett Tree Experts also deep root fertilized the other trees and shrubs on the property. I have noticed a significant increase in flowering this year as well.As a former landscaper, I probably look at trees and shrubs little closer than most people. I can tell you without a doubt that Joe Davis’s knowledge and experience - backed by the resources of the Bartlett Tree Expert Company - is second to none in the world of Plant Health Care.I would recommend anybody with sick plants to call Joe Davis immediately to get their plants healthy again.

Had an emergency a huge tree fell in my yard. I called for a quote because I have used them before and they had done a great job and very accommadating. However this time I had tried several times to contact them and they never returned or acknowleged my call. It has been over a week now.

I received outstanding service on both ends, first by Frank coming to make the assessment and providing me with a quote within hours and second by the quality of work of the crew on the day of the job. A total of 5 trees were removed. Excellent follow-up as well (first by the office coordinator and then by Frank) after the job completion to make sure I was satisfied. I was dealing with a truly professional outfit and I highly recommend them.

Joe came and spent a lot of time assessing what could be done on my property and was knowledgeable and personable. He promised an estimate within 4 days. After 2 weeks and no estimate, I contacted the office, and was told they would follow through. Unfortunately, I never heard back from them. If a one to two thousand dollar job is not worth it, I would prefer being told up front.

I could not have asked for better service. Joe Davis showed up at my house just 15 minutes after my initial call to the office! He assessed the damage and recommended taking down a second tree next to the one that fell and hit the house. He emailed me an estimate that evening and I signed and returned it. Although their schedule was busy he felt he could remove the tree that fell on the house the next morning and the second tree in a few days. The crew (Tony? and Kevin) were excellent. They showed up first thing in the morning and removed the first tree in a couple of hours. They tested the second tree to make sure it was safe to climb and they took it down too. They removed all debris, chipped it, hauled away the large logs, and raked the area. ALL WITHIN 24 HOURS OF MY INITIAL CALL... OUTSTANDING!

Called for a review and quote for service. Joe came by and told me response soon. Yeah that didnt happen. Apparently my 1-2 thousand dollar job with no contiueing service isnt good enough. Ive emailed again and frankly Ill exercise my free market prerogative and definitely go to their competitor. Buy service at your own risk...

Had the same experience as others that they came out to see the work I needed and then never followed through with an estimate. Multiple attempts to find out the problem only produced lip service. I finally gave up and went to Boisvert Brothers who did a fine job at a good price.

I called Bartlett Tree Service made an appointment Joe came out looked at the work he seemed very interested in job, he said it was great fill in work he explained everything they would do and said he would get back to me quick with the estimate, No estimate weeks later. I should have read all the reviews before I called them.

We cant praise Bartlett and its professionals enough. We had lost a lot of ornamentals and various plants due to an error on the part of our lawn care/tree and shrub company and the only one that we trusted to work with us on this situation was Joe and his crew. Every single person from Bartlett who came out knew his stuff and it was such a pleasure to work with people who knew what they were doing. We no longer have our previous tree/shrub care people and have trusted Bartlett to come up with a reasonable plan for us to keep our yard looking like we want it to look. I wish I could remember the names of all the guys who came out because I would like to thank each one personally but hope that when Joe sees this, he will pass on my kudos for a job more than well done!!

We live in a subdivision of West Manchester that was built around 2000. The builderplanted a pear tree in front of virtually every house , making the neighborhood very distinctive.When we bought our house in May of 2010, a MAJOR factor that contributed to our buying decision was the beautiful budding pear tree that was blooming in the front yard. Little did we know that a clock was ticking for all these trees.On Saturday evening, October 29, 2011 a freak ‘Halloween nor’easter’ struck Southern New Hampshire. Around 6 PM as we were planning to attend a theater event nearby, we were alerted on the “Pasture Drive Facebook page’ that one of our neighbor’s pear trees had just collapsed. Driving down the street, it became obvious that all the trees were being tested.Since we owned a roof rake, we began ‘shaking’ the snow off of our tree at 6:30, and every 2 hoursthereafter, continually taking the snow off the tree. Between 9PM and 1AM when you went outside, all you could hear were crackling trees falling and transformers blowing. Having set my alarm clock at 2 hour intervals, there was little sleep to be had. However, when I was out there at 3:30 in the morning, and the entire neighborhood looked like a war zone, I knew that I had saved our pear tree! Who knew that you could become emotionally connected to a tree? Of the entire neighborhood, roughly 40 pear trees were lost that night, and only about 3 survived. We were also told these trees tend to only last for 10 years.In the fall of 2012, we had the tree pruned, but that actually resulted in the tree getting substantiallybigger. With roots coming out of the ground in the fall of 2014, we were prepared that we would haveto take our beloved pear tree down!We contacted a local arborist, Joe Davis of Bartlett Tree Experts, who felt there was absolutely noreason why the tree could not be restored (particularly after we’d told him it’s survival story!). In fact,he said the tree clearly showed signs that it had been maintained, and therefore there was no need to be concerned about it reaching it’s end of life.Barlett came in and structurally pruned the tree, removing and thinning out closely spaced branches,and was able to enhance it’s natural shape and form.Today, the tree again stands ready for another onslaught of winter, and we no longer fear for it’s demise.Thank you, Bartlett Tree, for a great job.
