On 8/20/2021 I arrived at merchants auto in Hooksett NH after searching several cities and towns for a newer low mileage manual transmission vehicle. (Not so easy to find) I’ve always driven manual and always intend to. I walked into Merchants Auto with camo shorts and full tattoo sleeves but was not greeted questionably in fact I was greeted by Eric H. Who immediately got me set up with some comforts such as water or whatever I needed to keep me content and happy. I was not rushed or bothered into anything. When I was ready Eric offered to show me what I had come for, a red 2017 civic Si 6 speed manual with a turbo. He gave me options to take it for a ride or he would go if I preferred and not knowing the area I asked him to go with me. The next half hour was like hanging out with a buddy and I had a good time, I really liked the car, a lot. The car was very clean and solid with all parts functioning as they should and all options working properly. It was EXACTLY as I had hoped. Eric worked with his team to get me the best deal possible and that’s when I was sent to BRIAN S. to wrap everything up. Brian was also very nice and helped even further, doing more than I could have asked. The entire day was perfect and pleasant and then came the ride home…..what a blast!…..the car ran perfectly, no surprises just a great ride. A great experience at Merchants auto! Recommend to all!

I searched for a Transit van during the Vehicle shortage of 2021. Plus I had no credit left to speak of. Waist of time and horrible customer service!!I drove 40 miles out of my way twice and got the run around. Both times the vehicle from the website I was interested in “sold” but they had a more expensive one out of my price range.The second time I called on the way to verify the car was there and when I arrived they told me it was sold.I will never come back and hope this saves you from waisting your time.

Customer service is great, quick process. A lot of cars to choose from. The only thing is that my previous dealer had more long term deals such as free oil changes and lifetime inspection. Still very pleased with Merchant. Toby is great and very accommodating and patient.

Nice place but the car I was scheduled to test drive was not there at the lot when I got there. Not good people! The car was not sold due to the hot market and I was told it was there on that day. I was asked to come test drive it as it WAS ON THE LOT. It turns out that the car was new to Merchants and it was still in their service department offsite location due to cleaning and inspection. The call service (I was told it is new) did not bother to check with you at the Hookset NH site to ensure the car was on the lot. I was told by Merchants that the call centers primary aim is to get people to visit the lot NOT to ensure accuracy. IT IS NOT BECAUSE as Joe states due to the market. Although, this might sometimes be true THAT IS A RARE event. Meaning, if the car is on the lot that day it is still likely to be there a few hours later. But, if no one bothers to check if the car is there - then the store/call service is not being customer centric at all. Which is my point! No excuses please.

Wish I could say better things about this dealer because I have heard so many good things about them. Unfortunately my visit was not pleasant and was quick. Me and my girlfriend bought a car from Dan O’Brien which then got taken from us cause the deal was canceled and they took the money back. I went to merchants with 3,000 cash to put towards a new car and when we were met at the door it was almost like they were surprised we were buying a car and were given a hostile attitude. I was first surprised by the lack of customer service by the rep we had (don’t remember his name older gentleman) but when we wanted to look at cars he asked for our ids and I said I would be co signing for her. We asked to go look at cars and were told he would be right back. Upon coming back he said he couldn’t sell us a car cause it was a straw delivery sale. Which didn’t make sense because I was not offering to purchase a car for someone yet I was offering to be a co sign to help my girlfriend purchase a car. This doesn’t make sense at all and with the level of unprofessionalism I was appalled by those comments I would understand if she got rejected for credit and then I tried but that was not the case. Wouldn’t even allow us to look at cars. None the less we ended up going to price auto in concord and got a decent car same car we were looking at merchants and were able to get it for a lower price. I was very disappointed because I wanted to work with the team at merchants from all the great things I hear but things must be different since the pandemic and with the renovation not sure but still no excuse for lack of support.

Im on my second vehicle purchased from merchants auto. My first vehicle I had no issues mechanically, but part of the deal when you buy a car from them is that you get a free inspection every year. Every year I call and every year they tell me there booked, so I and up having to pay for one. An its not like I call last minute. I always call at least a month in advance. Now my second vehicle they actually were able to fit me in last year and failed car for bad tires. I hadnt even put 10000 miles on it and they said front tires were really bad and that rear barely pass.Really ,so what your telling me is that you sold me a car with bad tires! Now, I just called to make an appointment for this years inspection and theyre telling me theyre booked again! What a joke. I think this might be the last vehicle I ever buy from there again
