Just got two teeth extracted in under thirty mins! Fastest and easiest time Ive ever had at the dentist. Dr. Yoo explained the problem, procedure and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Staff was very professional and office was extremely clean. Dr. Jin Yoo and staff were excellent and quick. For those that have Quest and can not find a dentist that accepts this insurance this is the place to go. They put you at ease and explained everything that was going to happen so there would be no surprises.

I decided to try this dentist since my son, Jonathon, is extremely apprehensive & afraid of dentists because of previous experiences at other dental offices. We called around and read alot of reviews & the reviews that we read on Aina Haina Family Dental & Dr Yoo made him feel comfortable enough to make an appointment for a toothache. They were able to fit us in to look at his tooth the day we called. We found out the tooth ache was due to a very bad tooth and required a root canal.This elevated my sons anxiety but we went ahead with the root canal. One of the my sons biggest anxieties was about the needle they use for the anesthetic shot but the doctor numbed the area completely before the shot was even administered, so the shot was completely painless and made him feel comfortable.During the root canal procedure the doctor was very patient and told him at any time, if he needed a break, to let him know and they would take a break. He felt nothing during the entire procedure, no longer has a toothache and Dr Yoo has now has cured his fear of going to the dentist.Dr Yoo and his staff were very nice, welcoming, kind and patient. I called many times for additional details before the root canal with questions and never felt rushed or like I was bothering them, they answered all mine and my sons questions.GO SEE AINA HAINA FAMILY DENTAL !!I would recommend them to ANYONE who needs a dentist but especially anyone who has anxiety or is afraid of going to a dentist.

This is hands down the best dentist Ive been to! The staff itself is incredible and patient comfortability is definitely their top priority. I live out on the North Shore and the one hour commute to Aina Haina Family Dental is well worth the drive. I had so much work done on my teeth from them and not once was I ever in pain. All four wisdom teeth removed (super quick and painless), crown, and fillings! They always called to remind me the day before an appointment which was really convenient. Id highly recommend Dr.Yoo and his office to anyone in the Aina Haina area and even beyond that. Excellent practice all around!

Needed a extraction due to toothache, called Dr. Yoos office and they took me in within couple hours was very nervous but oh my gosh it took literally only a minute and no pain to extract the tooth I couldnt believe it I am amazed with this office they are very awesome I recommend Dr. Yoos office you wont regret it I know I dont and I traveled all the way from waianae. I had an incredible experience here! No one loves getting four wisdom teeth pulled but Dr. Jin Yoo made me feel completely at ease, explaining to me the entire process for before during and after, and answering all of my questions. He narrated each step as he went through to prepare me for any loud noise or pressure, however, I felt absolutely no pain. THE BEST AND MOST CONVENIENT DENTISTS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!The friendly staff, short wait time, wide range of procedures, and cleanliness of the office is why I would recommend Aina Haina Family Dental to all my friends and family.My insurer sent me to Dr. Yoos office because I was told he would refer me to a dental surgeon who could remove my wisdom teeth. Luckily for me, I didnt need that referral because Dr. Yoo does it all! During my first appointment I got biannual cleaning/checkup and a week later I was able to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted. I loved how quick and easy it was to schedule an appointment, especially because my wisdom teeth were causing some discomfort.At first I was nervous to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth at once but the staff at Aina Haina Family Dental made me feel comfortable and even relaxed at times. The extraction procedure was practically painless with local anesthesia and it took less than an hour!

Absolutely amazing dentist. In and out for a tooth extraction in less than 45minutes. Hes incredible with numbing the mouth. Didnt even feel a pinch. No tears, no nothing. He also accepts Quest.

This place opened up only a couple months ago!!... and they accepted my insurance...... and had openings pretty early...... and are open until 7pm on some days...Whatttttt???Anyways, my boyfriend and I were able to book 5pm and 5:45pm appts on Friday. My BF even ran late but they still serviced him at 6pm!As I sat in the chair during my cleaning, I guess I looked tense and petrified. Dr. Yoo kept asking me if I was ok. .. and I kept saying yeah, until he asked me if I was traumatized by a bad experience because I definitely did NOT look ok. It got me thinking, who HASNT had a bad experience at the dentist?!?!?Thankfully, this experience was definitely the most pleasant one. I loved how he reviewed my xrays with me. Apparently, when I brush I favor my left side. Haha. And I have small decay forming on one tooth YIKES but he said I just need to floss everyday and it will be ok because I have strong bones and good enamel or something like that.(But I dont like flossing)Today is Day 3 of my daily flossing challenge.Wish me luck.

My former dentist sent me to an oral surgeon for a wisdom tooth extraction, but I was very apprehensive. I’m a mature adult and never had my wisdom teeth removed. I visited Dr. Yoo for a second opinion. He assured me that he does a lot of teeth extractions and shouldn’t be worried. The procedure was very quick and uncomplicated.I didn’t like being sent to other doctors for teeth extractions or root canal procedures. I was hoping to find a dentist that could do it all. Dr. Yoo does it all and now he’s my dentist.

Came to Dr. Yoo to get my chipped tooth filling redone since it came off. I used to see the previous dentist in his office, and decided to give Dr. Yoo a try. Plus, Jill was working for him and I really love her! She’s just the best! The office was bright and clean, very welcoming! Dr.Yoo greeted me and it was very comfortable considering I dislike going to the dentist in general. He was very courteous and professional when speaking to me, yet he took the time to get to know me as a person! I feel like when a doctor takes the time to get to know his patients they really care. On top of that, the whole procedure was great, he was gentle and kept explaining to me during the process what was happening and what I might feel. Love that he really takes pride in his work and made sure I was comfortable the whole time! From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. Dr.Yoo, his assistant, and the receptionist were so kind and professional. The process of getting my wisdom removed went by real quick and was done so well. When the surgery was over they told me how to take care of my teeth, and even made sure I had the supplies I needed to do so.

I had to reschedule several times and even cancel my daughters appointment at the last minute and the receptionist was consistently helpful and kind.Then, when I thought I was going to have to have an emergency extraction due to a cracked crown, Dr. Yoo reassured me that I had options other than extraction. He did not put the original crown in by the way, so kudos to you for cleaning up someone elses work, Dr. Yoo!! He and the dental hygienist, who is also super friendly and made me feel comfortable, took care of me confidently and painlessly!!Actually, this was my first time seeing Dr. Yoo and I knew I was in good hands as soon as he touched my mouth. He has skilled and confident hands! Yay me! I am so happy with my smile again, and EXTREMELY grateful to Dr. Yoo and his staff for taking such great care of me today. Very quick, very professional. In the beginning before I got my tooth extracted I had a mild anxiety attack, my heart was pounding, my feet and palms were sweaty because I never had my tooth pulled out before, I felt like I was going to faint from how nervous I was but Dr. Yoo made me feel safe and that everything was going to be alright very reassuring and he calmed me down , nice dude. I didn’t feel rushed to control my breathing also very relaxing environment felt like a spa for a second with how clean the place was and with Hawaiian music playing. 10/10 would go back to him to pull my wisdom teeth.

I had previously been going to this physical location for my dental care for over 20 years. It was pure serendipity that my previous dentist retired and Dr. Yoo moved into the same location--and Im so glad he did. Dr. Yoo is up to date, transparent and thorough, as well as always focused on my care.Maybe its because hes a lot younger, but aside from updating the furniture, the very first thing I noticed in my first exam is he updated all the offices tools too. He used some new imaging modality on my very first visit and was able to right away see that a few of my decade-plus-old fillings were in need of replacement with decay setting in. I was genuinely surprised at what happened next.What is truly extraordinary about Dr. Yoo is that he doesnt just tell you what you have and expect you to take his word on it alone. As soon as he told me his diagnosis, he had me take a look at his imaging results to actually thoroughly show me how he came to his conclusions. This transparency is present throughout him performing the procedures, too, as he will often stop and offer to show you how he is progressing and whats left to do. By the way, his anesthetizing skills are excellent.At any rate, Dr. Yoo replaced the worst decaying SILVER-filling on my first visit with TOOTH-COLORED composite filling so well that I definitely wanted the rest of my seven other silver fillings replaced (Hawaii, please fluoridate your water). It was here that I learned that he stays open with hours way later than I expected, making scheduling a breeze. And that transparency I talked about earlier? It also carries into billing--he will provide you papers listing most of the procedures he can do, how much theyll cost, how much insurance will cover, and how much your copay will be, all before the procedure. At any rate, I had all of my other fillings replaced at my second visit without any issues.Other than his dental care, Im really grateful to Dr. Yoo for working with me, a broke medical student, to come up with a financial plan to help cover my procedures such that I could actually afford it. Its not a fake sale tactic either since, as I stated earlier, he provides you the estimated costs before your procedure so you can shop around for the best prices, and his truly are the best.As an aside, I also want to mention that the dental hygienist, Jill, remained from my previous dentist, which made the transition a lot more comfortable. She has also very quickly picked up the skills to efficiently operate the new tech Dr. Yoo brought in.Again, Dr. Yoo is very respectful, professional, skilled, and best of all, caring to all of his patients. He wants to make sure that you understand what he is doing so you can make the best decision for your teeth and hell work with you answering questions and coming up with payment options to make sure you leave happy and healthy. I definitely recommend him as a family dentist.-Ive also attached photos of my teeth after having the fillings replaced of my molars (the back two teeth on both left and right sides on both the top and bottom for a total of eight). Again, these fillings are tooth-colored composites making it hardly look like your teeth had cavities. Unfortunately, I didnt have the foresight to take any proper before pictures of my fillings since I never liked them, but I did manage to fine one rare photo where I smile with my mouth open--you can see my bottom jaws silver-fillings, noticeable even in low resolution.

I am very happy with Dr. Yoo’s service and care. He is thoughtful, smart, and professional. I definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a dentist. I used to go to the previous dentist at this location (who is now retired) and the location is very convenient for me, so I decided to visit Dr. Yoo who took over the space. I initially came in for a checkup and I like how Dr. Yoo is very thorough and gives information for each procedure so I’m aware of everything that is going on.During the checkup, I asked if he had any advice/recommendations for my teeth. He mentioned that he is able to remove my silver fillings and replace it with white fillings. That was something I was always interested in, but never saw it as a priority so I always forget to inquire about it before. Since I was very pleased with my checkup experience with Dr. Yoo, I immediately booked an appointment to get white fillings. I am so glad I made that decision, it’s such a nice upgrade (see picture). Throughout the experience, Dr. Yoo was considerate and made sure I was comfortable and satisfied with how my teeth felt. I also like how Dr. Yoo gave me a follow up call the next day to make sure everything felt ok. I feel so confident with my new smile and I am so lucky to have met Dr. Yoo.

.... went to another dental office a year ago (who has multiple offices) and no one in any of their offices wanted to pull my tooth as they explained it’s so close to the nerves and told me to find an oral surgeon... this scared me and thus I waited a year and it got worse .... fast forward exactly a year later and I was in extreme pain!!!I called several dental offices and Dr. Yoo’s office was the ONLY ONE that called me back! And after their office hours none the less!!! His staff was so understanding of my pain, the receptionist even called me back the next morning because she told the Dr I was in pain and asked him if he could see me earlier - never had that happens to me before!Went to their office scared s——— and he and his staff were so amazing!!! They were gentle and communicative throughout the whole process and Dr Yoo pulled my tooth out in 30 seconds flat!!!! I couldn’t believe it, I thought to myself this guy! I get other dentist in three offices who wouldn’t touch my tooth with a 40’ pole and he just whips it out like it was nothing!!! Lol duck soup!I’ve never ever received such care in my life!!! And let me tell you I live in Mililani and the drive to Aina Haina is totally crazy with all the other dentists in between it’s literally going from one side of the island to the other BUT after my experience today I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else!!!!Thank you Dr Yoo and staff!!! A couple weeks ago I went for an emergency visit and dr Yoo himself answered the phone. He was able to see me same day and took care of me. I returned a few days later for a cleaning. The office is very cute and dr Yoo gives you his full attention and answers any questions. The cleaning and exam was thorough and I like how he gives me different options for treatment. My 18 year old son suddenly felt pain in his gums. It was a Friday the day I called Dr. Yoo’s office and it was he who answered the phone. He was concerned and took us in that day at 4:30 pm. He was only able to extract the top two that day. My son was having X-ray discomforts so Dr. Yoo was unable to see the roots of the bottom wisdoms. A panel X-ray was needed from another clinic.We returned to Dr. Yoo with my son’s panel X-ray the following week. It took 2 more visits for the last 2 wisdom extractions. For each extraction Dr. Yoo really took the time to explain what needed to be done.It was a rough experience for my son but through it all, Dr. Yoo and his staff really gained his trust as they remained patient and kind during all 3 visits and after each visit Dr. Yoo even made calls to check how he was doing. I highly recommend Dr. Yoo’s office for wisdom extractions or any other dental procedures.

He took time to answer my questions and throughout my procedure he asked if I was ok and assessed my pain level. He personally called me after my procedure to find out how I was feeling. He is very trustworthy and did not try to sell me services that I did not need. His office staff is very courteous, as well. Dr. Yoo is such an awesome dentist; therefore, I choose to drive approximately 45 minutes each way to Aina Haina Dental.

Dr. yoo was awesome ! i had to get all four wisdoms out recently and was super anxious, but he made the process so easy and comfortable. he was super nice and thoroughly explained what the procedure entailed and the aftercare process. post surgery, he called to check up three times while i was in the healing process to make sure everything was going smoothly which was super awesome. my family loves him and 10/10 would recommend 🤗.

He fixed my tooth in the front, was fast and gentle. I was done in no time, I recomend him to my friends and family. A+ work.

My Aunty Rexie and I just finished her appointment and it was great! We got there a bit early and we were greeted by a man at the reception desk. He was very nice and had my aunty fill out a form while we waited. Another patient came out to speak with him and we realized that he was the dentist! Once the room was ready, the assistant nurse came and escorted aunty to the back. I waited comfortably in the front for less than half an hour. All in all, theyre a great office with friendly people.

Honest, friendly and explained the problem(s) and the thing(s) need to be done with patients approval before proceeding. Very family oriented and understanding.

Office is clean and organized and they are so very kind.
