I need to stop in to look for a hook.. I thought it would take forever to locate but Lowes have signs on each row to tell you whats in that section. Found my hook pretty quickly without any assistance.. I think it may habe taken longer if i tried to find assistance as they were very busy the day we visited. It was a weekday and not a busy weekend thankfully.. Decided to visit the garden area outside as I was looking to buy a tomato cage. We looked around and could not locate one, so we finally found an employee but he said he wasnt sure where they would be as he worked in another area.. We looked some more and found another employee and she help us!

Consistently bad. This particular Lowes seems to always be in disarray. The isles are usually littered with stock and sometimes impassable if youre using a cart. This is especially true of the garden department portion which stocks lawn chemicals. The bags are always filthy and disorganized. This is the exact opposite of my experience at Home Depot. Sadly its been this way for years.

Nice experience. I was feeling kind of dumb with my finger and my thumb and a missing hand, from an extreme go karting accident. Well the tears stopped coming and I didnt stop running. Got to this store and I didnt stop shopping. Didnt make sense not to buy everything. My brain gets smart but my hand is gone. So much to do, so much to see. So whats wrong with building a shed with one hand? Youll never know if you dont go. Youll never know if you try. Hey now, I lost my hand, To an extreme Go Karting, Accident. Thank you for your time.

I have been going here for years only because there is no other option reasonably close to my house. This place has consistently been and remains so unorganized and cluttered that it makes it nearly impossible to find what you need. Although most of the staff are usually friendly, it seems like they are understaffed and in need of additional help. In short, I wish I could get back the hours of my life that I have wasted in this Lowe’s over the years.*Update: here is a picture to show how unorganized this place really is

If I could rate it lower than 1 star I would. Store is consistently a mess and nothing is where it says it is on the app. When you ask a worker where to find something they either have no idea or lead you to the wrong aisle. The self checkout is rarely working and only one cashier is ever up at one time. Online orders aren’t any better, I ordered one small item that was listed as being in stock for pickup and it took a week for my order to be ready.

Consistently does not have products that the Lowes website says are in stock. Lowes website says they have a tool rental at this location. An employee at the store says they havent had tool rental in two years.Do not rely on them to have anything that you need!

I came here looking for a specific item and asked multiple employees for help finding it, no one really helped me find it and ultimately, I spent a while walking aimlessly in the store and never got the item I needed. Wondering why many people would walk by receiving help and direction but when I asked I was not given the same; very disappointed.

Every staff member I’ve ever spoken to here has been able to solve my problem. I ordered ahead and picked up. Everything was ready, though I had to wait awhile in line. Gardening supplies are plentiful in the spring, including hay straw bales and pine straw. My son enjoyed picking up a flag ($1.48) and reciting the pledge of allegiance as we walked around the store.

Horrible customer service experience. In store associate couldnot find my order prepaid pickup order using my wifes name. I offered to provide the phone number attached to the order but she only wanted the order number which I did not have. After she talked to another associate she finally wanted the phone number and my order was finally cleared to go. So I had already parked under the PICKUP sign. The associate didnot ask me where I parked and just pull my vehicle to a spot opposite the PICKUP spot. She also asked if i needed assistance which i said Yes and she walked away. After waiting a moment no one came so I pushed the rolling cart out myself. I loaded two coffee tables and a huge box containing for patio chairs meant for two people to lift BY MYSELF without any assistance from a Lowes associate. Never going back to the Lakeshore location in Homewood Alabama.

COVID was extremely trying on everyone, and this store was no exception. Had to report often that they had to accept cash for purchases (they tried to only accept cards due to the virus and stated such on a hand printed sign). The saw used to cut materials so that the lay person can actually get huge pieces home safely is nearly always out of order. So much so, the running joke is that the saw works fine, it is the employees that are the ones that are out of order. Customer Service at the front door are always busy, whether they are helping customers or not, and good luck finding a charged shopping cart if you are disabled. Honestly, if Home Depot were closer I would definitely go there. We do go to Harbor Freight more often than we used to. The garden department is decent as long as you dont have questions about anything. Apparently, they rotate people around a lot so you will be told I dont know. I dont normally work out here.

Morning of 8/26/21- I called the Homewood Lowes to find out if they had a certain bullnose tile and the young man that answered when I asked for flooring told me if I didnt have the number to the tile he could not tell me and hung up. I had the exact brand, name, & color of the bullnose tile, (and I probably could have gotten him the number off line) but he didnt even give me a chance to tell him that or get his name. Very disappointed in this Lowes employee!! We are traveling and trying to pick up things our Lowes is out of.

Where to begin...I ordered mulch online for curbside pickup. The next day, I get notification my order is ready for pickup. After parking in the designated pickup area, I call the number, only to get a hang up. Go inside, no merchandise, and, that I should go to the Garden center. After finding Michael (he was the best at helping me), he told me the mulch I wanted was only accessible with a forklift, and, that he would get a manager to drive the forklift (no manager ever came). I return to the Pickup associate for a refund (she emailed a receipt on my first pickup attempt, and, cleared my order, as if I picked up my mulch, and, told me I should go park in the pickup parking, basically, repeat what I had done 30 minutes prior). What a disconnected process this was. Ill avoid this (Homewood, Alabama) location in the future.

Best home improvement store in Birmingham! I have bought appliances, tools, fertilizer, yard equipment, paint, light fixtures, and the list goes on! I always get good service! The Garden Center is awesome and assistance getting things to my car is greatly appreciated! They honor Disabled Veterans with Discounts and special Parking places!! It is located off of 65 in Homewood in the Wildwood area. Always go to Lowe’s for Home Improvements!!

Spent the better of a day trying to hunt down a zero turn riding mower at lowes. Their website/app can be infuriating on what can/cannot be found at physical stores. However the good people at the Homewood store went the extra mile and walk me thru ordering what I wanted when the website simply said it was unavailable. Thank you for that. Now I just have to wait to have it delivered to my home.

I’ve been using Lowe’s for a remodeling project that has been going on for several months. Each and every dealing I have with the Homewood store is bad. They have very low inventory. They have been doing some rearranging in the store and the employees are too busy to help customers. I finally tracked down some help in electrical and the guy lied to me, saying they no longer sell wire by the foot, despite having this huge display of rolls of wire, with a dispenser that measures off feet. He was happy to send me out empty handed to keep from having to sell something. I asked help from 4 different store employees and none of them would help me. All are angry and seem resentful toward my request for help. So, were they all just having a bad day? No, this is the norm. I’ve been there several times, never during rush hours, but always with the same results. Yesterday I ordered something online, for store pickup. More than 24 hours later they don’t have an in-stock item ready, and no one will answer the phone to check the status. The phone will ring for a couple of minutes, then go to a busy tone. I need a mailbox key and cannot retrieve my mail until I get the replacement lock, so I need prompt service, which again, is not available. I grew up in the hardware business and we could not have stayed in business with this kind of service. Low inventory, ignorant, unhelpful staff, inadequate online order/pickup. They fail at everything.Update: I just drove there at 6:00 pm to pick up my order. After waiting 1 hour I was told they didn’t have it in stock. During the 1 hour wait a fight almost broke out in the long line of angry people. The cashier asked if I’d like for her to find it in another store. I said, yes. She then went back to serving other customers and after another 10 minutes I walked out. There website still says they have the item in stock. It’s a very broken system.

Today I went to the Lowes in Homewood Alabama. I put a 40 lb bag of bird seed in my basket with some other things I was purchasing. Made my way to the checkout in the garden center. The cashier was friendly but informed me that they didnt have anyone that could load this bag in my car for me. I hadnt asked for any extra service and had intended to load it myself. I am 69 so I guess she thought it was too heavy for me. As I was driving out I noticed another lady with the same size bag trying to load purchases in her car. I pulled up next to her and told her I was going to put the sred in her car for her. She was older than me and had 2 bruises under eyes. She told me she had just had heart surgery a few weeks ago. She had also told the girl in t gthe store who put the seed in her basket for her. She thanked me for my help. I think its a shame that there was not one man in that store that could have helped her. Shame on you Lowes.

Usually brag on Lowes but this trip to Cullman store was a pain. My online order was ready for pickup, but the bar code would show up on my phone. The young lady who helped walked me to the lockers like the class dunce and tried to show me what I was doing wrong. When she couldnt find the bar code either, she called for help and a guy I showed my order number to looked it up and told her my light fixture wasnt in the lockers. She retrieved, brought it to me. I took it home, opened the box that had clearly been opened before, and found the fixture broken on both ends. After a sexond 1-hour round trip drive, I returned the fixture and bought a better one cheaper elsewhere.

They seem to be understaffed or in a disarray. I tried ordering online for pick up in the store and it still was not ready 6 hours later. (A small order of 4 items) I went and was told that it was not ready. I was then told that I could get the items myself and bring them back to customer service desk. I did that and the young man who helped me disappeared. To make a long story short, I got my items after over an hour of trying to cancel my online order. My washer died so I went out on the hunt for a new one I could get delivered quickly. I visited Lowes in Homewood and was told by the sales person that they had the particular washer in stock and she was going to put my name on it. This was on a Friday and she said they could deliver on Sunday. On Saturday I got a message that the washer wasnt in stock, there wouldnt be a delivery on Sunday and theyd let me know when they could deliver. I went to the store and cancelled my order. (Of course, there was no explanation about why the sales person told me she put my name on the washer, but now it wasnt in stock.) I went online to order the same washer - as I was checking out, I scheduled delivery for Monday. The next day I got an email that my delivery was rescheduled to over a week later. The day before I was supposed to get the delivery, I got an email to confirm delivery. Almost immediately after I confirmed, I got another email that says all deliveries have been cancelled due to the hurricane - which might be fine if we were actually supposed to see affects of the weather. Ive always liked shopping at Lowes, but theyve lost a customer. Who knows when Ill actually get what I purchased.

Curbside pickup seems to be a joke at the Homewood location. Both attempts to use this service have been worse than my root canal. The first attempt resulted in lack of product after 4 hours of waiting. Went to the store to just cancel the online order and pulled it myself. Second attempt resulted in being in the parking lot on hold for seven minutes after the first call was dropped after 34 seconds on hold. Associate took down incorrect order number and came out to tell me my items we at a store 15 miles away. Finally got what I ordered and paid for. Never had this type problem with HD

Just waited almost 45 minutes for somebody to cut three boards for me. Nobody ever came. The guy at the pro desk told me three times somebody would be there soon or that the guy on the forklift would be there in a few minutes. The last time I talked to him, he said that the forklift guy was the only person who could cut boards. Seems unlikely. Then he said he had 2 people waiting for him at the pro desk and left. Four or five times in the last year, somebofy at Lowes has told me they would get somebody to help and then nobody ever showed up.

Purchased a refrigerator and was told it would be delivered the next morning. Delivery driver gets there and states the wheels were broken off somehow while on the truck. I called the store and was told to come in to get a refund. Once I get to the store for the return, I was told that I couldnt get a refund until the delivery truck came back to the store. If the store knows and can verify that the item is on their Lowes delivery truck, why cant I get a refund. I have to wait until the next day to receive my money back.

They need help. Firstly - Checked in online for a curbside pickup and called repeatedly. Someone finally answered the phone after multiple iterations of pushing numbers and they were unaware that I had checked in through the app. They didnt check for ID, ask for the email, or verify any info. It was a very odd experience. Secondly, the saw is broken and they are unable to cut anything. I would recommend driving to Home Depot at the Galleria. Its not very far from this location.

As the maintenance director of a nearby building, I find myself going to this lowes often. However after multiple bad experiences we will only use them as a last resort. Staff has been rude, online stock never matches in store, and product is always being rotated without updating the signage, I had to get cleaning supplies in the light bulb section today.

After failure after failure of meeting basic customer service from anyone in the store. I have decided to quit. I will admit this store usually is stocked very well. And that I can find things there that other Lowe’s stores don’t keep in stock all the time. But customer service is terrible about 80% of the time. When I do find someone really helpful they usually aren’t there long. Good luck trying to call ahead to ask a question. Over the last few years no one will hardly pick up. I just spent ten minutes and then they hung up. Could have been a mistake. But it’s problems like this that I have of late been driving twice as far to shop at other Lowe’s and HD. Many of the staff are great. But there are more bad entitled and snobby won’t look you in the eye employees there than other stores. On several occasions I have nicely asked what isle to find something on and the person just turns and starts walking away. Is that code for follow me? Or that they don’t want to help. Or both.

The store was pretty much every Lowes these days: not enough open checkout lanes, halt of the self-checkouts not working and those that are open are slowed down asking for ID for a one item, $12 purchase.If youre management thats about to say something apologetic and make me copy paste this into some other web site where problems go to die, please just dont... Ive never had a bad experience in Lowes until today. There was a guy that the cashier Rachel said she knew he was stealing but had no proof. She said this to me and about 3 other paying customer. Ive worked in customer service for over 20 years and to say something like that was extremely inappropriate especially in front of customers. Not only that but I was waiting for her or the other 2 reps Justin was one of them the other one didnt have on a name tag to get the merchandise I had just paid for because they had it tied down and instead of them getting my things the 3 of them stood there talking about the guy possibly stealing. Highly Disappointed with this visit.

Placed an online order for delivery. The first delivery date was cancelled. Then when rescheduled only one part of the order arrived. Being told the second part was just shipped from the vendor. Then once that was set up for delivery it wasnt out on the truck since it was missing part of the order. The piece that was already delivered. It took me 20 calls to actually get someone On the phone. Who then told me it will be on the truck. Nothing. I had to go there to find out what is going on. Since I cant do the lifting up the stairs. This is why I wanted delivery. Worst experience ever.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in our first large purchase from Lowe’s. Will pay more for Home Depot’s customer service. We were scheduled to have a delivery today of a substantial amount of lumber and materials. The amount of time to get a delivery was longer than expected and longer than usual, but we were understanding. They gave us a 12 hour delivery window. That’s a long time to be on call waiting for a delivery. I called to check and see if I could get a better timeframe. Nope. Two hours before the end of the delivery window I called to check and ensure the order would still be delivered. Customer service was extremely rude and said it would be here. Still no delivery and we are past the delivery window. We have contractors who are already delayed due to the time it took to get a delivery and are scheduled to start on the project that will now be delayed further. I would be much more understanding if customer service had been nice and tried to help and I would have had no problem with a late delivery if they had communicated that to us before the delivery window had passed. Now we still have no idea when it will be delivered. I know this won’t accomplish anything, but I hope if anyone sees this I can prevent you from the same experience I had. USE HOME DEPOT.

Updated to 1 star, like Texas.I wanted a Tramontina machete because: kudzuLowes had a better price than online so I went there. Their app says there was 1 on aisle 23.There is no aisle 23. A nice worker told me that after I ran around the store and asked at Customer Service. He also let me know they didnt have any in stock. So far Ive lost 15 minutes of looking around and the drive to and back. I like buying local so I order it from their website.When Im notified it is at the store for pickup, I drive over there. And spend 20 minutes waiting for them to bring it up to the front. And there is also the drive time there and back.In the meantime, the price on Amazon has dropped to below what Lowes sells it for.Ignoring the drive time, Ive spent the same as if I bought it on Amazon at the original price or at the Knife Center IF my time is only worth minimum wage, which it isnt.Old review:Mediocre. Understaffed, at least at the registers. There are a few good people, but a bunch of meh folks. 2.5 * rounded up. Some staff not wearing masks correctly (cover the nose, duh). Sometimes after visiting this store a trip to HD is necessary, which is very annoying.

Severely understaffed and poorly trained. Its not the employees fault. They want to do well, but this location is greatly mismanaged. Avoid this location at all costs.
